1Gall bladder carcinoma: Aggressive malignancy with protean loco-regional and distant spread显示文摘The most common malignancy of biliary tract is gallbladder cancer(GBC) which is the third most common cancer in gastrointestinal tract. It is a lethal disease for most patients in spite of growing awareness and improved diagnostic techniques. GBC has a verypoor prognosis and the 5 year survival rate is < 10%. Although etiology of the carcinoma of the gallbladder is still obscure, various factors have been implicated, cholelithiasis being the most frequent. The incidence of GBC worldwide is based on the gender, geography and ethnicity which suggest that both genetic and environmental factors can cause GBC. The major route of spread of gallbladder cancer(GC) is locoregional rather than distant. It spreads by lymphatic, vascular, neural, intraperitoneal, and intraductal routes. Sonography is usually the most common imaging test to evaluate symptoms of biliary tract disease including suspected GC. With recent advances in imaging modalities like multi-detector computed tomography(CT) scanners, magnetic resonance imaging-positron emission tomography/CT diagnosis of gallbladder cancer has improved. Studies have also targeted molecular and genetic pathways. Treatment options have included extended and radical surgeries and adjuvant chemotherapy. This review article deals in detail with important aspects of carcinoma gallbladder and its manifestations and challenges. Role of various imaging modalities in characterization and accurate staging has been discussed. The loco-regional spread of this aggressive malignancy is dealt explicitly.Amit Nandan Dhar Dwivedi Shivi Jain Ruhi Dixit 2015World Journal of Clinical Cases2015,3,3:14
2Fake News Classification Using a Fuzzy Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network显示文摘In recent years, social media platforms have gained immense popularity. As a result, there has been a tremendous increase in content on social media platforms. This content can be related to an individual’s sentiments, thoughts, stories, advertisements, and news, among many other content types. With the recent increase in online content, the importance of identifying fake and real news has increased.Although, there is a lot of work present to detect fake news,a study on Fuzzy CRNN was not explored into this direction. In this work,a system is designed to classify fake and real news using fuzzy logic. The initial feature extraction process is done using a convolutional recurrent neural network(CRNN).After the extraction of features, word indexing is done with high dimensionality. Then, based on the indexing measures, the ranking process identifies whether news is fake or real. The fuzzy CRNN model is trained to yield outstanding resultswith 99.99±0.01%accuracy.This work utilizes three different datasets(LIAR,LIAR-PLUS,and ISOT)to find the most accurate model.Dheeraj Kumar Dixit Amit Bhagat Dharmendra Dangi 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,6:1

9Application of statistical learning theory for thermodynamic modeling of natural gas hydrates显示文摘The gas hydrate formation in pipelines of industries and chemical plants can cause various operational damages and can increase economic risks.Hence, the knowledge of hydrate formation conditions has become a critical research study to overcome the problems arising from the formation of hydrates. In this study,we applied an algorithm to develop an LSSVM model to predict the formation temperature of natural gas hydrate for a comprehensive range of data points.Total 188 experimental data points were applied from the literature for the development of the LSSVM model. The input parameter was finalized based on the structure of hydrates by each gas species. The results obtained by the LSSVM model have good accuracy as compared with empirical correlations available in the literature. This model gave the squared correlation coefficient(R2),and root mean square error of 0.9901 and 0.59974,respectively.The composition of gases may affect the phase equilibrium condition of gas hydrates. The applied algorithm revealed that the developed LSSVM model could become a good alternative for calculating the formation temperature of hydrate for the range of all data sets. The results showed that the proposed LSSVM model could be applicable for the prediction of hydrate formation temperature for all data points.Anupama Kumari Mukund Madhaw C.B.Majumder Amit Arora Gaurav Dixit 2021Petroleum2021,7,4:0
10Anti-cancer effects of sitagliptin, vildagliptin, and exendin-4 on triple-negative breast cancer cells via mitochondrial modulation显示文摘Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)cell line MDA-MB-231 is known for Warburg metabolism and defects in mitochondria. On the other hand, dipeptidyl peptidase-IV(DPP-IV)inhibitors such as sitagliptin and vildagliptin and GLP-1 agonist exendin-4 are known to improve mitochondrial functions as well as biogenesis, but no study has evaluated the influence of these drugs on mitochondrial biogenesis on metastatic breast cancer cell line.We have recently reported anticancer effects of 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide riboside on MDA-MB-231 cells via activation of AMP-dependent kinase(AMPK),which activates the downstream transcription factors PGC-1α,PGC-1β,or FOXO1 for mitochondrial biogenesis;above-mentioned incretin-based therapies are also known to activate AMPK.This study evaluated the effects of sitagliptin, vildagliptin, and exendin-4 on MDA-MB-231 cells and the underlying changes in mitochondrial biogenesis, were examined.Treatment with sitagliptin(100μM),vildagliptin(100μM),and exendin-4(10 nM)for 72 h to MDA-MB-231 cells led to a decrease in viability indicated by MTT assay, cell migration by scratch, and transwell migration assays, accompanied with marginal reduction in cell numbers along with the apoptotic appearance, the rate of apoptosis, and decreased lactate content in conditioned medium. These changes in the cancer phenotype were accompanied by an increase in the mitochondrial DNA to nuclear DNA ratio, increased MitoTracker green and red staining, and increased expression of transcription factors PGC-1α,NRF-1,NRF-2,TFAM,and HO-1.Pre-treatment of cells with these incretin-based drugs followed by 48 h treatment with 1μM doxorubicin increased doxorubicin sensitivity as observed by a decrease in viability by MTT assay. Thus, sitagliptin, vildagliptin, and exendin-4 exert their beneficial effects on TNBC cells via an increase in mitochondrial biogenesis that helps to switch Warburg metabolism into anti-Warburg effect.Therapeutic response was in the order of:sitagliptin>vildagliptin>exendin-4.POOJA JAISWAL VERSHA TRIPATHI ANSHUL ASSAIYA DHARMENDRA KASHYAP RAHUL DUBEY ANAMIKA SINGH JANESH KUMAR HEM CHANDRA JHA RAJESH SHARMA AMIT KUMAR DIXIT HAMENDRA SINGH PARMAR 2022BIOCELL2022,46,12:0
