1Therapeutic efficacy of charcoal hemoperfusion in patients with acute severe dichlorvos poisoning显示文摘AIM: To assess the efficacy of hemoperfusion (HP) in the treatment of the patients with acute severe dichlorvos(DDVP) poisoning. METHODS: One hundred and eight patients with acute severe DDVP poisoning in the two teaching hospitals were enrolled. Sixty-seven patients were treated with HP (HP group) and forty-one patients accepted traditional treatment only as the control. Serum concentration of DDVP was determined by gas chromatography. RESULTS: The duration of coma, impaired consciousness, ICU stay, and mechanical ventilation was significantly shorter in the HP group than that in the control. The cumulative dosages (mg) of atropine required either in the first 24 h on admission (442±436 vs 899±485 in the control, P<0.01) or within the hospital (568±574vs 1228±982 in the control, P<0.01) were markedly reduced in the HP patients. The lower incidence of mechanical ventilation required (13.4 % vs 36.6 % P<0.01), respiratory muscular paralysis (4.5 % vs 17.1%, P<0.05) and the lower mortality of death (7.5 % vs 34.1%, P<0.01) were observed in the HP group. HP could accelerate the recovery of suppressed cholinesterase activity. After the procedure, the DDVP level was decreased from (11±4) to(7±3) mg/L in parallel with a decline in APACHE II Score or dopamine dose and a rise in Glasgow Coma Scale(P<0.05). In addition, the mean values of peak clearance and reduction rate were (87±17) mL/min and 44 %±11%,respectively. 2Experimental determination of solubilities and'supersolubilities of 2,2',4,4',6,6'-hexanitrostilbene in different organic solvents显示文摘The laser monitor technique was used to determine solubilities and supersolubilities of HNS in N,N-dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, acetonitrile, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and 1,4-butyrolactone. The experimental solubility values were correlated with λh equation, modified Apelblat equation and NRTL model. Furthermore, the dissolution enthalpy, dissolution entropy and the Gibbs energy of HNS were calculated by the experimental data. The results show that the solubilities of HNS in the above solvents increase with the increasing temperature. Besides, at the same temperature, the order of solubility is N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone > dimethyl sulfoxide > N,N-dimethylformamide > 1,4-butyrolactone > acetonitrile. 3Fault detection for centrifugal chillers using a Kernel Entropy Component Analysis (KECA) method显示文摘Fault detection is beneficial for chiller routine operation management in building automation systems.Considering the limitations of traditional principal component analysis(PCA)algorithm for chiller fault detection,a so-called kernel entropy component analysis(KECA)method has been developed and the development results are reported in this paper.Unlike traditional PCA,in KECA,the feature extraction or dimensionality reduction is implemented in a new space,called kernel feature space.The new space is nonlinearly related to the input space.The data set in the kernel feature space is projected onto a principal component subspace constructed by the feature space principal axes determined by the maximum Rényi entropy rather than the top eigenvalues.The proposed KECA is more suitable to deal with nonlinear process without Gaussian assumption.Using the available experimental data from ASHRAE RP-1043,seven typical chiller faults were tested by the proposed KECA method,and the results were compared to that of PCA.Two statistics,i.e.T2 and squared prediction error(SPE),were employed for fault detection monitoring.The fault detection results showed that the proposed KECA method had a better performance in terms of a higher detection accuracy in comparison to the traditional PCA.For the seven typical faults,the fault detection ratios were over 55%,even at their corresponding least severity level when using the proposed KECA based chiller fault detection method.Yudong Xia Qiang Ding Zhao Li Aipeng Jiang 2021Building Simulation2021,14,1:2

5Impact and explosion resistance of NPR anchor cable:Field test and numerical simulation显示文摘With the reduction of shallow resources,the degree of damage and the frequency of dynamic hazards,such as deep rock bursts and impact ground pressure,are increasing dramatically.However,the existing support materials are incapable of meeting the safety require-ments of the refuges and roadways under a strong impact force.To effectively solve these problems,a novel negative Poisson’s ratio(NPR)anchor cable with excellent properties,such as impact resistance and the ability to withstand large deformation,is proposed.In the present study,a series of field tests and numerical simulations are conducted to investigate the mechanical and support charac-teristics of NPR anchor cables under blast impact.Laboratory mechanical tests show that NPR anchor cables can maintain constant resistance and produce large deformation under the action of multiple drop hammer impacts.According to the results of field tests,the roadway supported by conventional anchor cables was unable to endure the blast impact,while the roadway supported by NPR anchor cables was able to withstand the severe impact equivalent to a Class 3 mine earthquake.The dynamic response of the NPR anchor cable that supports the roadway under explosion is investigated using the innovative coupled modeling approach that combines the finite element method and the discrete element method,and the support effect of the NPR anchor cable is verified.The study shows that the NPR anchor cable has a superior impact and blast resistance performance,and a broad application prospect in the support of chambers and roadways that are at high risk of rock bursts and impact ground pressure.Manchao He Aipeng Guo Zhigang Meng Yuefeng Pan Zhigang Tao 2023Underground Space2023,,3:1
6An optimal filter based MPC for systems with arbitrary disturbances显示文摘In this study, a linear model predictive control(MPC) approach with optimal filters is proposed for handling unmeasured disturbances with arbitrary statistics. Two types of optimal filters are introduced into the framework of MPC to relax the assumption of integrated white noise model in existing approaches. The introduced filters are globally optimal for linear systems with unmeasured disturbances that have unknown statistics. This enables the proposed MPC to better handle disturbances without access to disturbance statistics. As a result, the effort required for disturbance modeling can be alleviated. The proposed MPC can achieve offset-free control in the presence of asymptotically constant unmeasured disturbances. 7In-situ formation of Li_(0.5)Mn_(0.5)O coating layer through defect controlling for high performance Li-rich manganese-based cathode material显示文摘Li-rich layered oxide of Li_(1.2)Mn_(0.6)Ni_(0.2)O_(2)(LMNO)with a considerable specific capacity and higher voltage is regarded as a kind of promising cathode material.However,it suffers from transition metal ion dissolution and oxygen escape that leads to rapid capacity decay.In addition,the poor lithium-ion diffusion kinetics gives rise to unsatisfied rate performance.Herein,a stable layer of Li_(0.5)Mn_(0.5)O(LMO)out of LMNO is in-situ constructed through acetic passivation and following calcination process.The generated defect structure in the composite material exhibits fast ion diffusion kinetics and the produced LMO layer can stabilize the substructure,resulting in elevated cycling stability and rate performance.In specific,the LMNO@LMO material exhibits a high initial coulombic efficiency of 80.3%and remarkable capacity retention of 80.7%after 200 cycles at 1 C.Besides,the composite material reveals prominent rate performance that delivers discharge capacities of 158 and 131 m Ah g^(-1) at 5 and 10 C,respectively.At last,this study presents a new approach to optimizing the Li-rich cathode materials.Aipeng Zhu Qin Wang Yin Zhang Yueyin Zhang Xiaogang He Kaipeng Wu Hao Wu Qian Wang Wenlong Cai Yun Zhang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8:1

10Deformation-softening behaviors of high-strength and high-toughness steels used for rock bolts显示文摘In deep ground engineering,the use of high-strength and high-toughness steels for rock bolt can significantly improve its energy absorption capacity.However,the mechanisms and effects of rock loading conditions on this kind of high energy-absorbing steel for rock bolt remain immature.In this study,taking Muzhailing highway tunnel as the background,physically based crystal plasticity simulations were performed to understand the effect of rock loading rate and pretension on the deformation behaviors of twinning induced plasticity(TWIP)steel used for rock bolt.The material physical connecting to the underlying microscopic mechanisms of dislocation glide and deformation twinning were incorporated in numerical modeling.The rock loading conditions were mimicked by the real-time field monitoring data of the NPR bolt/cable equipment installed on the tunnel surrounding rock surface.The results indicate that the bolt rod exhibits pronounced deformation-softening behavior with decrease of the loading rate.There is also a sound deformation-relaxation phenomenon induced by the dramatic decrease of loading rate after pre-tensioning.The high pretension(>600 MPa or 224 k N)can help bolt rod steel resist deformation-softening behavior,especially at low loading rate(<10~(-1)MPa/s or 10~(-2)kN/s).The loading rate was found to be a significant factor affecting deformation-softening behavior while the pretension was found to be the major parameter accounting for the deformation-relaxation scenario.The results provide the theoretical basis and technical support for practical applications.Ding Wang Manchao He Zhigang Tao Aipeng Guo Xuchun Wang 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,6:1

15Redesign of a short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase for asymmetric synthesis of ethyl (R)-2-hydroxy-4-phenylbutanoate based on per-residue free energy decomposition and sequence conservatism analysis显示文摘As an important building block for the synthesis of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors,ethyl(R)-2-hy-droxyl-4-phenylbutanoate[(R)-HPBE]has attracted increasing attention.The key to industrial biosynthesis of(R)-HPBE is a biocatalyst that efficiently reduces ethyl 2-oxo-4-phenylbutanoate(OPBE)with high R-enantiose-lectivity.This paper proposed a strategy for identifying key residues involved in enantioselectivity control based on per-residue free energy decomposition and sequence conservatism analysis.Using this strategy,4 noncon-servative sites with high energy contribution to binding of OPBE were chosen as engineering targets,generating variant Mu27 with 99%conversion and 98%(R)ee value at substrate loading of up to 500 mmol/L.MD simu-lations suggested the higher stability and formation probability of Mu27-OPBEproR prereaction state as key rea-sons for the excellent R-enantioselectivity of Mu27 towards OPBE.The success in this study provides a viable approach for rational design of alcohol dehydrogenases with high enantioselectivity towards unnatural substrates.Bingmei Su Lian Xu Xinqi Xu Lichao Wang Aipeng Li Juan Lin Lidan Ye Hongwei Yu 2020Green Synthesis and Catalysis2020,1,2:0
16Model predictive control of indoor thermal environment conditioned by a direct expansion air conditioning system显示文摘Temperature and humidity are two important factors that influence both indoor thermal comfort and air quality.Through varying compressor and supply fan speeds of a direct expansion(DX)air conditioning(A/C)unit,the air temperature and humidity in the conditioned space can be regulated simultaneously.However,most existing controllers are designed to minimize the tracking errors between the system outputs with their corresponding settings as quickly as possible.The energy consumption,which is directly influenced by the compressor and supply fan speeds,is not considered in the relevant controller formulations,and thus the system may not operate with the highest possible energy efficiency.To effectively control temperature and humidity while minimizing the system energy consumption,a model predictive control(MPC)strategy was developed for a DX A/C system,and the development results are presented in this paper.A physically-based dynamic model for the DX A/C system with both sensible and latent heat transfers being considered was established and validated by experiments.To facilitate the design of MPC,the physical model was further linearized.The MPC scheme was then developed by formulating the objective function which sought to minimize the tracking errors of temperature and moisture content while saving energy consumption.Based on the results of command following and disturbance rejection tests,the proposed MPC scheme was capable of controlling temperature and humidity with adequate control accuracy and sensitivity.In comparison to linear-quadratic-Gaussian(LQG)controller,better control accuracy and lower energy consumption could be realized when using the proposed MPC strategy to simultaneously control temperature and humidity.Yudong Xia Ming Zhu Aipeng Jiang Jian Wang Xiaoxia Bai Shiming Deng 2023Building Simulation2023,16,3:0
17Model test of negative Poisson’s ratio cable for supporting super-largespan tunnel using excavation compensation method显示文摘In recent years,there is a scenario in urban tunnel constructions to build super-large-span tunnels for traffic diversion and route optimization purposes.However,the increased size makes tunnel support more difficult.Unfortunately,there are few studies on the failure and support mechanism of the surrounding rocks in the excavation of supported tunnel,while most model tests of super-large-span tunnels focus on the failure characteristics of surrounding rocks in tunnel excavation without supports.Based on excavation compensation method(ECM),model tests of a super-large-span tunnel excavation by different anchor cable support methods in the initial support stage were carried out.The results indicate that during excavation of super-large-span tunnel,the stress and displacement of the shallow surrounding rocks decrease,following a step-shape pattern,and the tunnel failure is mainly concentrated on the vault and spandrel areas.Compared with conventional anchor cable supports,the NPR(negative Poisson’s ratio)anchor cable support is more suitable for the initial support stage of the super-large-span tunnels.The tunnel support theory,model test materials,methods,and the results obtained in this study could provide references for study of similar super-large-span tunnels。Manchao He Aipeng Guo Zhifeng Du Songyuan Liu Chun Zhu Shiding Cao Zhigang Tao 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,6:0
