| 1 | Preliminary assessment of the navigation and positioning performance of BeiDou regional navigation satellite system显示文摘BeiDou regional navigation satellite system(BDS)also called BeiDou-2 has been in full operation since December 27,2012.It consists of 14 satellites,including 5 satellites in Geostationary Orbit(GEO),5 satellites in Inclined Geosynchronous Orbit(IGSO),and 4 satellites in Medium Earth Orbit(MEO).In this paper,its basic navigation and positioning performance are evaluated preliminarily by the real data collected in Beijing,including satellite visibility,Position Dilution of Precision(PDOP)value,the precision of code and carrier phase measurements,the accuracy of single point positioning and differential positioning and ambiguity resolution(AR)performance,which are also compared with those of GPS.It is shown that the precision of BDS code and carrier phase measurements are about 33 cm and 2 mm,respectively,which are comparable to those of GPS,and the accuracy of BDS single point positioning has satisfied the design requirement.The real-time kinematic positioning is also feasible by BDS alone in the opening condition,since its fixed rate and reliability of single-epoch dual-frequency AR is comparable to those of GPS.The accuracy of BDS carrier phase differential positioning is better than 1 cm for a very short baseline of 4.2 m and 3 cm for a short baseline of 8.2 km,which is on the same level with that of GPS.For the combined BDS and GPS,the fixed rate and reliability of single-epoch AR and the positioning accuracy are improved significantly.The accuracy of BDS/GPS carrier phase differential positioning is about 35 and 20%better than that of GPS for two short baseline tests in this study.The accuracy of BDS code differential positioning is better than 2.5 m.However it is worse than that of GPS,which may result from large code multipath errors of BDS GEO satellite measurements. | YANG YuanXi LI JinLong WANG AiBing XU JunYi HE HaiBo GUO HaiRong SHEN JunFei DAI Xian | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,1: | 125 |

| 6 | Recent advances in spinel-type electrocatalysts for bifunctional oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions显示文摘The demand for efficient and environmentally-benign electrocatalysts that help availably harness the renewable energy resources is growing rapidly. In recent years, increasing insights into the design of water electrolysers, fuel cells, and metal–air batteries emerge in response to the need for developing sustainable energy carriers, in which the oxygen evolution reaction and the oxygen reduction reaction play key roles. However, both reactions suffer from sluggish kinetics that restricts the reactivity. Therefore, it is vital to probe into the structure of the catalysts to exploit high-performance bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysts. Spinel-type catalysts are a class of materials with advantages of versatility, low toxicity, low expense, high abundance, flexible ion arrangement, and multivalence structure. In this review, we afford a basic overview of spinel-type materials and then introduce the relevant theoretical principles for electrocatalytic activity, following that we shed light on the structure–property relationship strategies for spinel-type catalysts including electronic structure, microstructure, phase and composition regulation,and coupling with electrically conductive supports. Both the high specific capacity and ion mobility of phosphorus may lead to a breakthrough in energy storage materials. Black phosphorus, an allotrope of phosphorus, has a sheet-like structure similar to graphite. In this review, we describe the structure and properties of black phosphorus and characteristics of the conductive electrode material, including theoretical calculation and analysis. The research progress in various ion batteries, including lithium-sulfur batteries, lithium–air batteries, and supercapacitors, is summarized according to the introduction of black phosphorus materials in different electrochemical applications. Among them, with the introduction of black phosphorus in lithium-ion batteries and sodium-ion batteries, the research on the properties of black phosphorus and carbon composite is introduced. | 12 | Geology and Isotope Geochemistry of the Yinchanggou-Qiluogou Pb-Zn Deposit,Sichuan Province,Southwest China显示文摘The Yinchanggou-Qiluogou Pb-Zn deposit,located in the western Yangtze Block,southwest China,is hosted by the Upper Sinian Dengying Formation dolostone.Ore bodies occur in the Qiluogou anticline and the NS-and NNW-trending faults.Sulfide ores mainly consist of sphalerite,pyrite,galena and calcite,with subordinate dolomite and quartz.Seventeen ore bodies have been discovered to date and they have a combined 1.0 million tons of sulfide ores with average grades of 2.27wt%Zn and 6.89wt%Pb.The δD_(H2O-SMOW) and δ^(18)O_(H2O-SMOW) values of fluid inclusions in quartz and calcite samples range from-68.9‰ to-48.7‰ and 7.3‰ to 15.9‰,respectively,suggesting that H_2O in the hydrothermal fluids sourced from metamorphic water.Calcite samples have δ^(13)C_(PDB) values ranging from-6.2‰ to-4.1‰ and δ^(18)O_(SMOW) values ranging from 15.1‰ to 17.4‰,indicating C and O in the hydrothermal fluids likely derived from a mixed source of metamorphic fluids and the host carbonates.The δ^(34)S_(CDT) values of sulfide minerals range from 5.5‰ to 20.3‰,suggesting that thermal chemical reduction of sulfate minerals in evaporates were the most probable source of S in the hydrothermal fluids.The ^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb,^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb and ^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb ratios of sulfide minerals fall in the range of 18.11 to 18.40,15.66 to 15.76 and 38.25 to 38.88,respectively.The Pb isotopic data of the studied deposit plot near the upper crust Pb evolution curve and overlap with the age-corrected Proterozoic basement rocks and the Upper Sinian Dengying Formation hosting dolostone.This indicates that the Pb originated from a mixed source of the basement metamorphic rocks and the ore-hosting carbonate rocks.The ore geology and C-H-O-S-Pb isotopic data suggest that the YinchanggouQiluogou deposit is an unusual carbonate-hosted,strata-bound and epigenetic deposit that derived ore-forming materials from a mixed source of the underlying Porterozoic basements and the Sinian hosting carbonates. | LI Bo ZHOU Jiaxi LI Yingshu CHEN Aibing WANG Ruixue | 2016 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2016,90,5: | 5 |

| 15 | N-doped ordered mesoporous carbon spheres derived by confined pyrolysis for high supercapacitor performance显示文摘Herein, we report a confined pyrolysis strategy to prepare mesoporous carbon nanospheres by which surface area of carbon spheres is increased, pore size is enlarged and effective N-doping is achieved. In this method, the mesoporous polymer sphere as carbon precursor and 2-methylimidazole as nitrogen precursor are encapsulated in a compact silica shell which provides a confined nano-space for the pyrolysis treatment. The in situ generated gases from mesoporous polymer sphere and 2-methylimidazole under pyrolysis diffuse into the pores of mesoporous polymer sphere in the confined compact silica shell,resulting in increased surface area, larger pore size and N-doping due to self-activation effect. | 19 | Seed-mediated synthesis of dendritic platinum nanostructures with high catalytic activity for aqueous-phase hydrogenation of acetophenone显示文摘This work reports a facile and efficient seed-mediated method for the synthesis of dendritic platinum(Pt)nanoparticles(NPs) at low temperatures of 55–60 °C in water, using L-ascorbic acid as a reducing agent and sodium citrate as a capping agent. It is found that the dendritic Pt NPs(10–150 nm) are composed of tiny Pt nanocrystals, which nucleate and grow through the introduced smaller Pt seeds with diameters of 3–5 nm.Further investigation shows that the dendritic Pt nanostructures display excellent catalytic performance in an aqueous-phase aromatic ketone hydrogenation reaction, including:(i) acetophenone conversion rate of> 90%, with smaller dendritic Pt NPs(10–46 nm) offering a higher conversion efficiency;(ii) high chemoselectivity toward carbonyl group(90.6%–91.5%), e.g., the selectivity to 1-phenylethanol is ~90.1% with nearly100% acetophenone conversion for 10 nm dendritic Pt NPs within 60 min, under mild reaction conditions(20 °C, 1.5 bar H2 pressure, and 1.5 mol% catalyst). | 20 | Seismic anisotropy beneath the Chinese mainland显示文摘We investigated the upper mantle anisotropy beneath China by applying teleseismic shear wave splitting measurements at 119 seismic stations from CDSN and GSN/IRIS networks in China.The splitting observations are characterized by apparent diversity of anisotropy pattern in adjacent tectonic domains,including the Tianshan orogenic belt,Tibetan plateau,the Yangtze craton,the North China craton and northeastern region.In western China(Tianshan orogenic belt and Tibetan plateau),fast polarization directions of split SKS waves coincide strikingly well with the dominating trend of deformational crustal features and delay times range from 0.5 s to 1.6 s.While in eastern China,seismic anisotropy deduced from shear wave splitting reveals a homogeneous NW-SE trending structure,almost perpendicular to the strike of large-scale surface structures.The observed delay times of 1.5 s to more than 2 s favor consistent mantle flow over large mantle thicknesses.Based upon the straightforward relationships between seismic anisotropy and the development of lattice preferred orientation of mineral in upper mantle rocks,we interpret the splitting results in terms of tectonic fabric within the upper mantle.Since the lithosphere is less than 100 km thick beneath eastern China and the observed fast directions are subparallel to the trend of the absolute plate motion(APM) of Eurasian plate,we propose that the asthenosphere may mainly contribute to the anisotropic effects beneath eastern China.However,the upper mantle anisotropy beneath western China may have developed more recently in the subcrustal lithosphere because of rather small delay times and thick lithosphere.We also use the opportunity of the dense geodetic measurements available in China to discuss the coupling between the crust and mantle.In the Eurasia-fixed reference frame,GPS and shear wave splitting both depict a similar trend beneath eastern China,suggesting a lithospheric block 'escaping' toward the east that could orient olivine [001] axis in the upper mantle.There is a strong coupling between the crust and the mantle in eastern China.A different behavior is observed in western China.The GPS vectors trend NS-NE in Tibet and NW in Tianshan,close to the regional compression direction,whereas the fast directions trend EW in Tibet and NE in Tianshan,suggesting a tectonic regime close to a mode of axial shortening,generating the development of EW-trending foliation in Tibet and NE-trending foliation in Tianshan at depth.The crust and mantle deform independently in western China. | Yuanyuan V.
