4Determination of eighty-two pesticides and application to screening pesticides in cannabis growing facilities显示文摘Determination of pesticides in cannabis facilities is increasingly important as medicinal and recreational uses of cannabis products expand rapidly. We report a method involving wipe sampling, liquid chromatography separation, and tandem mass spectrometry, which enables determination of 82 pesticides out of the 96 regulated by Health Canada. To demonstrate an application of the method, we sampled and measured pesticides in two cannabis growing facilities, representing a non-certified and a certified site. We detected 41 pesticides in surface wipe samples at the non-certified site and 6 at the certified site. 5Inter-regulatory role of microRNAs in interaction between viruses and stem cells显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are well known for post-transcriptional regulatory ability over specific mRNA targets.miRNAs exhibit temporal or tissue-specific expression patterns and regulate the cell and tissue developmental pathways.They also have determinative roles in production and differentiation of multiple lineages of stem cells and might have therapeutic advantages.miRNAs are a part of some viruses’regulatory machinery,not a byproduct.The trace of miRNAs was detected in the genomes of viruses and regulation of cell reprograming and viral pathogenesis.Combination of inter-regulatory systems has been detected for miRNAs during viral infections in stem cells.Contraction between viruses and stem cells may be helpful in therapeutic tactics,pathogenesis,controlling viral infections and defining stem cell developmental strategies that is programmed by miRNAs as a tool.Therefore,in this review we intended to study the interregulatory role of miRNAs in the interaction between viruses and stem cells and tried to explain the advantages of miRNA regulatory potentials,which make a new landscape for future studies.Afsoon Afshari Ramin Yaghobi Ghazal Rezaei 2021World Journal of Stem Cells2021,13,8:0
6Role of cytomegalovirus on the maturation and function of monocyte derived dendritic cells of liver transplant patients显示文摘AIM: To study the impact of association between cytomegalovirus(CMV) pathogenesis with dendritic cell(DC) maturation and function was evaluated in CMV reactivated liver transplanted patients in comparing with non-reactivated ones, and healthy controls. METHODS: Monocyte derived dendritic cells(Mo DCs) was generated from collected ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid-treated blood samples from patient groups and controls. In these groups, expression rates and mean fluorescent intensity of DC markers were evaluated using flowcytometry technique. Secretion of cytokines including: interleukin(IL)-6, IL-12 and IL-23 were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay methods. The gene expression of toll-like receptor 2(TLR2), TLR4 and IL-23 were analyzed using in-house real-time polymerase chain reaction protocols.RESULTS: Results have been shown significant decreases in: Expression rates of Mo DC markers including CD83, CD1 a and human leukocyte antigen DR(HLA-DR), the mean fluorescence intensitys for CD1 a and HLA-DR, and secretion of IL-12 in CMV reactivated comparedwith non-reactivated liver transplanted patients. On the other hand, significant increases have been shown in the secretions of IL-6 and IL-23 and gene expression levels of TLR2, TLR4 and IL-23 from Mo DCs in CMV reactivated compared with non-reactivated liver transplanted recipients. CONCLUSION: DC functional defects in CMV reactivated recipients, such as decrease in expression of DC maturation markers, increase in secretion of proinflammatory cytokines, and TLRs can emphasize on the importance of CMV infectivity in development of liver rejection in transplanted patients.Mohammad Hossein Karimi Afsoon Shariat Ramin Yaghobi Talat Mokhtariazad Seyed Mohammad Moazzeni 2016World Journal of Transplantation2016,6,2:0
