| 1 | 土荆芥的石油醚提取物及精油对冈比亚按蚊的杀虫活性(英文)显示文摘在室内条件下测试了土荆芥Chenopodium ambrosioides叶片的石油醚提取物及精油对冈比亚按蚊Anopheles gambiae0~2d龄成虫和1~4龄幼虫的毒性。每一龄期各取30头幼虫分别接触50,100,250,500,750和1000mg/L提取物和精油,于24h和48h后记录死亡幼虫的数目。30头成虫在密封的长方形玻璃笼子中分别接触0.8,1.6,2.4μL/L土荆芥精油蒸气,24h后记录死亡率。结果表明,测试的提取物和精油对冈比亚按蚊的各龄幼虫和成虫均具有毒性。48h致死中浓度(LC50)的测试结果表明,石油醚提取物对1龄幼虫的毒性最强(14.89mg/L),其次是对4龄幼虫(18.90mg/L),对3龄幼虫的毒性最低(183.77mg/L);精油对4龄幼虫毒性最强(36.62mg/L),其次是对1龄幼虫(90.75mg/L)。推算的土荆芥精油对冈比亚按蚊的LC50为1.01μL/L。本研究揭示了土荆芥对冈比亚按蚊的防治潜力。 | Abiodun A. | 4 | Value chain financing and plantain production in Nigeria:an ex-ante approach显示文摘Value chain finance(VCF)represents the aligning and structuring of finance within a value chain or as a result of its existence.Given the growing need to explore innovative approaches to rural and agricultural finance in Nigeria,such financing solutions have become imperative.However,few studies on the ex-ante impact of financing innovations exist.Therefore,to ascertain the benefits derivable from VCF,this paper analyzes the potential impact of VCF on plantain production in Nigeria.The expected benefits are estimated based on the economic surplus model,using the Dynamic Research Evaluation for Management(DREAM)software.Results from a 25-year simulation period at a 15%discount rate and an innovation cost of USD 1,300,000,show that,in the least optimistic scenario,the economy is expected to have an overall net gain(economic surplus)of USD 3256,800,with a net present value of USD 3406,880,benefit-cost ratio of 3.83,and an internal rate of return or break-even discount rate of 36.80%.These results indicate the positive impact of VCF,measured in terms of net present value and net benefit,expressed as producer and consumer surplus.This suggests VCF is a viable and beneficial financing innovation for food production in Nigeria.Finally,it is recommended that a value chain financing agency be established to make finance available to farmers to boost food production in Nigeria. | Mathew Paul Ojo Adeolu Babatunde Ayanwale | 2019 | Financial Innovation2019，5，1： | 1 |

This study examined the effect of β-stigmasterol(with ergosterol) and xylopic acid isolated from Anchomanes difformis on liver mitochondrial permeability transition pore(mPTP).Methods: The compounds were isolated by vacuum liquid chromatography. Mitochondrial swelling was assessed as changes in absorbance under succinate-energized conditions.Results:1H and13C NMR spectroscopic elucidation of the isolates affirmed the presence of β-stigmasterol with ergosterol(1:0.3) and xylopic acid. | 19 | High seroprevalence of asymptomatic viral haemoparasites among prospective blood donors in Nigeria显示文摘Objective:To determine the prevalence of viral haemoparasites in prospective Nigerian blood donors.Methods:Ethical clearance was obtained and informed consent questionnaires were distributed to blood donors to obtain their demographical data.A total of 186 blood donors from LAUTECH Teaching Hospital,Osogbo were tested for hepatitis A virus(HAV),hepatitis B virus(HBV) and hepatitis C virus(HCV) using rapid test kit and Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay.Results:The highest prevalence of blood transmitted infections was 182(97.85%) while the prevalence of HIV,HAV,HBV and HCV were 6.45%,97.85%,14.52% and 3.23% respectively.Highest seroprevalence for hepatitis A,B and C occurred among low risk occupation.There was no significant association between all the hepatitis viruses and demographic factors except occupation with P value of 0.002 7.Hepatitis A,B and C seropositive blood donors on average tend to have PCV within the normal reference range.Out of the 27 hepatitis B positive blood donors,22 were donating blood for the first time while 5 were repeat donors.None of the hepatitis C seropositive donors have been exposed to blood or any form of its products and were all donating blood for the first time.However,the distribution of donor type for HAV is random.Conclusions:The presence of HAV,HBV,HCV and HIV among prospective donors in Nigeria particularly the alarming prevalence of HAV.These infections can be transmitted to recipients if proper screening is not carried out,hence they should be included as a routine test for blood donors. | David Olusoga Ogbolu Oyebode Terry Alli Itunu Odeleye Adeolu S Oluremi | 2016 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2016，9，7： | 0 |
