2Intralesional steroid is beneficial in benign refractory esophageal strictures:A meta-analysis显示文摘AIM To analyze the effect of intralesional steroid injections in addition to endoscopic dilation of benign refractory esophageal strictures.METHODS A comprehensive search was performed in three databases from inception to 10 April 2017 to identify trials, comparing the efficacy of endoscopic dilation to dilation combined with intralesional steroid injections. Following the data extraction, meta-analytical calculations were performed on measures of outcome by the randomeffects method of Der Simonian and Laird. Heterogeneity of the studies was tested by Cochrane's Q and I^2 statistics. Risk of quality and bias was assessed by the Newcastle Ottawa Scale and JADAD assessment tools.RESULTS Eleven articles were identified suitable for analyses, involving 343 patients, 235 cases and 229 controls in total. Four studies used crossover design with 121 subjects enrolled. The periodic dilation index(PDI) was comparable in 4 studies, where the pooled result showed a significant improvement of PDI in the steroid group(MD:-1.12 dilation/month, 95% CI:-1.99 to -0.25 P = 0.012; I^2 = 74.4%). The total number of repeat dilations(TNRD) was comparable in 5 studies and showed a non-significant decrease(MD:-1.17, 95%CI:-0.24-0.05, P = 0.057; I^2 = 0), while the dysphagia score(DS) was comparable in 5 studies and did not improve(SMD: 0.35, 95%CI:-0.38, 1.08, P = 0.351; I^2 = 83.98%) after intralesional steroid injection.CONCLUSION Intralesional steroid injection increases the time between endoscopic dilations of benign refractory esophageal strictures. 3Cu_2ZnSnS_4类四元硫族半导体的理论研究--以二元、三元、四元半导体的演化为思路显示文摘在过去60多年中,人们对半导体的研究集中在一元、二元和三元半导体方面,最近,出于寻找新型廉价、环保、高效光伏转换材料的需要,Cu2ZnSnS4类Ⅰ2-Ⅱ-Ⅳ- Ⅵ4型四元硫族半导体吸引了人们越来越多的关注,它在光催化和热电等多方面的应用也不断被发掘.然而,对于这类四元半导体的基本性质,如晶体结构和电子结构,人们知之甚少,很多研究还停留在经验阶段.文章首先简要回顾了这类半导体的由来和在应用方面的最新进展,然后详细介绍了文章作者对这类四元半导体的第一性原理计算研究工作的进展,其中包括:系统研究了这类硫族半导体在从二元向三元再向四元的演化过程中晶体结构和电子能带结构变化的规律,总结了元素成分对其影响的一般趋势,并结合实验结果分析了这类四元半导体晶格结构表征和带隙测量中易于出现的混淆;文章作者还以Cu2ZnSnS4为例,考察了这类四元化合物相对二元、三元化合物的相稳定性和本征缺陷性质.文章介绍的研究结果将为一系列Ⅰ2-Ⅱ-Ⅳ- Ⅵ4型四元半导体的深入研究提供基础.陈时友 龚新高 Aron Walsh 魏苏淮 2011物理2011,40,4:6
4脂质抗氧化酶Peroxiredoxin 6对急性肺损伤的抗氧化保护作用显示文摘目的 确定脂质抗氧化酶Peroxiredoxin 6(Prdx 6)对急性肺损伤的抗氧化保护作用。方法应用100%O:吸入诱导雄性小鼠,建立急性肺损伤模型,用H2O2干预诱导,建立细胞损伤模型。分别观察Prdx6基因敲除(Prdx6-/-)小鼠、Prdx6基因过度表达(TgPrdx6)小鼠、胞浆谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(Gpxl)基因敲除(Gpxl-/-)小鼠、野生(WT)小鼠及其肺Ⅱ型上皮细胞的生存率,支气管肺泡灌洗液(BALF)中蛋白和细胞总数;WesternBlot法检测Prdx6或Gpxl蛋白表达水平;观察肺Ⅱ型上皮细胞凋亡情况;采用硫代巴比妥酸反应物法和双苯酯-1-磷酸芘荧光测定法分别检测肺组织和肺Ⅱ型上皮细胞膜质脂氧化水平。结果Prdx6-/-小鼠生存时间较WT小鼠缩短约24h,TgPrdx6小鼠的生存时间较其他组延长;在细胞损伤模型中,Prdx6对细胞生存的保护作用与H2O2干预浓度相关;高氧吸入72h后,Prdx6-/-小鼠的肺内Gpxl蛋白表达水平下调7倍;Gpxl-/-小鼠的肺内Prdx6蛋白表达水平则无明显下调。H2O2干预处理后,肺Ⅱ型上皮细胞凋亡细胞数及百分率的增加与H2O2剂量正相关,并在Prdx6-/-小鼠表现最为明显,而TgPrdx6小鼠组则呈现了持续稳定的10%的凋亡细胞数;Prdx6-/-小鼠组的肺Ⅱ型上皮细胞的细胞膜脂质氧化水平升高,约为WT小鼠2倍,为TgPrdx6组4倍;Prdx6-/-小鼠肺组织的脂质氧化水平较其他组明显增高。结论Prdx6具有重要的抗氧化性肺损伤的保护作用,特别是Prdx6抗细胞凋亡和抗细胞膜脂质氧化的功能提示了其以细胞为单位独特的保护机制。王燕 陆权 Feistein S.SHELDON Ye-Shih HO Shelley A.PHELAN Micheal F.BEERSA Aron B.FISHER 2008中华儿科杂志2008,46,10:6

6抗氧化酶Prdx6保护肺泡Ⅱ型上皮细胞抵抗过氧化氢诱导细胞凋亡的作用显示文摘目的探讨抗氧化酶Prdx6保护肺泡Ⅱ型上皮细胞(AECⅡ)抵抗过氧化氢(H2O2)诱导的细胞凋亡的作用。方法 AECⅡ分离纯化于野生小鼠(WT组)和Prdx6转基因过表达小鼠(Prdx6 TG组),并暴露在不同浓度(50~500μmol.L-1)H2O2下24 h。Nile Red染色用于鉴定AECⅡ;免疫印迹法探测Prdx6蛋白表达;应用钙黄绿素乙酰甲酯和乙啶二聚物染色法研究细胞生存率;应用膜联蛋白A(AV)和碘化丙啶(PI)染色法研究细胞凋亡情况。结果 Prdx6 TG组AECⅡPrdx6蛋白表达量是WT组的7倍,同时,H2O2可剂量相关性地诱导AECⅡPrdx6蛋白表达;AECⅡ生存率和H2O2呈剂量负相关,Prdx6 TG组细胞生存率显著高于WT组(P<0.05);AV和PI荧光染色显示细胞凋亡的程度H2O2治疗浓度呈正相关,同时,Prdx6 TG组细胞凋亡阳性率明显低于WT组(P<0.05)。结论抗氧化酶Prdx6可以保护AECⅡ抵抗H2O2诱导的细胞凋亡,是其作为抗氧化酶的主要功能之一。王燕 Aron B.Fisher 宋善路 2012实用儿科临床杂志2012,27,16:3
7Chronic kidney disease severely deteriorates the outcome of gastrointestinal bleeding: A meta-analysis显示文摘AIM To understand the influence of chronic kidney disease(CKD) on mortality, need for transfusion and rebleeding in gastrointestinal(GI) bleeding patients.METHODS A systematic search was conducted in three databases for studies on GI bleeding patients with CKD or endstage renal disease(ESRD) with data on outcomes of mortality, transfusion requirement, rebleeding rate and length of hospitalization(LOH). Calculations were performed with Comprehensive Meta-Analysis software using the random effects model. Heterogeneity was tested by using Cochrane's Q and I2 statistics. Mean difference(MD) and OR(odds ratio) were calculated.RESULTS1063 articles(EMBASE: 589; PubM ed: 459; Cochrane: 15) were found in total. 5 retrospective articles and 1 prospective study were available for analysis. These 6 articles contained data on 406035 patients, of whom 51315 had impaired renal function. The analysis showed a higher mortality in the CKD group(OR = 1.786, 95%CI: 1.689-1.888, P < 0.001) and the ESRD group(OR = 2.530, 95%CI: 1.386-4.616, P = 0.002), and a rebleeding rate(OR = 2.510, 95%CI: 1.521-4.144, P < 0.001) in patients with impaired renal function. CKD patients required more unit red blood cell transfusion(MD = 1.863, 95%CI: 0.812-2.915, P < 0.001) and spent more time in hospital(MD = 13.245, 95%CI: 6.886-19.623, P < 0.001) than the controls.CONCLUSION ESRD increases mortality, need for transfusion, rebleeding rate and LOH among GI bleeding patients. 10Perovskite synthesizability using graph neural networks显示文摘Perovskite is an important material type in geophysics and for technologically important applications.However,the number of synthetic perovskites remains relatively small.To accelerate the high-throughput discovery of perovskites,we propose a graph neural network model to assess their synthesizability.Our trained model shows a promising 0.957 out-of-sample true positive rate,significantly improving over empirical rule-based methods.Further validation is established by demonstrating that a significant portion of the virtual crystals that are predicted to be synthesizable have already been indeed synthesized in literature,and those with the lowest synthesizability scores have not been reported.While previous empirical strategies are mainly applicable to metal oxides,our model is general and capable of predicting the synthesizability across all classes of perovskites,including chalcogenide,halide,and hydride perovskites,as well as anti-perovskites.We apply the method to identify synthesizable perovskite candidates for two potential applications,the Li-rich ion conductors and metal halide optical materials that can be tested experimentally.Geun Ho Gu Jidon Jang Juhwan Noh Aron Walsh Yousung Jung 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:2
11Metabolic changes in the lower esophageal sphincter influencing the result of anti-reflux surgical interventions in chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease显示文摘AIM: With the availability of a minimally invasive approach, anti-reflux surgery has recently experienced a renaissance as a cost-effective alternative to life-long medical treatment in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). We are not aware of the fact whether reflux episodes causing complaints for a long time i.e., at least for one year are associated with metabolic changes in the lower esophageal sphincter, and if so,whether these may influence functional results achieved after anti-reflux surgery.METHODS: Between 1 January 2001 and 31 December 2002 we performed anti-reflux surgery on 79 patients.Muscle samples were taken from the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) in 33 patients during anti-reflux surgery.Inclusion criteria were: LES resting pressure below 10 mmHg and a marked, pH proven acid exposure to the esophagus of at least one year's duration, causing subjective complaints and requiring continuous proton pump inhibitor treatment. Control samples were obtained from muscle tissue in the gastroesophageal junction that had been removed from 17 patients undergoing gastric or esophageal resection. Metabolic and lysosomal enzyme activities and special protein concentrations 16 parameters in total were evaluated in tissue taken from control specimens and tissue taken from patients with GERD. The biochemical parameters of these intra-operative biopsies were used to correlate the results of anti-reflux operations (Visick I and II-III).RESULTS: In the reflux-type muscle, we found a significant increase of the energy-enzyme activities e.g., creatine kinase, lactate dehydrogenase, β-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, and aspartate aminotransaminase-. The concentration of the structural protein S-100 and the myofibrillar protein troponin I were also significantly increased. Among lysosomal enzymes, we found that the activities of cathepsin B, tripeptidyl-peptidase I, dipeptidylpeptidase II, β-hexosaminidase B, β-mannosidase and β-galactosidase were significantly decreased as compared to the control LES muscles. By analyzing the activity values of the 9 patients in Visick groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ at two months post-surgery, we found a significant increase in the activity of the so-called energy-enzyme values and in the concentration of structural and myofibrillar proteins as compared to the rest of the reflux patients.CONCLUSION: Our results call attention to the metabolic changes that occurred in the LES muscles of reflux patients. 14Single and bundled carbon nanofibers as ultralightweight and flexible piezoresistive sensors显示文摘This work demonstrates the application of electrospun single and bundled carbon nanofibers(CNFs)as piezoresistive sensing elements in flexible and ultralightweight sensors.Material,electrical,and nanomechanical characterizations were conducted on the CNFs to understand the effect of the critical synthesis parameter—the pyrolyzation temperature on the morphological,structural,and electrical properties.The mechanism of conductive path change under the influence of external stress was hypothesized to explain the piezoresistive behavior observed in the CNF bundles.Quasi-static tensile strain characterization of the CNF bundle-based flexible strain sensor showed a linear response with an average gauge factor of 11.14(for tensile strains up to 50%).Furthermore,conductive graphitic domain discontinuity model was invoked to explain the piezoresistivity originating in a single isolated electrospun CNF.Finally,a single piezoresistive CNF was utilized as a sensing element in an NEMS flow sensor to demonstrate air flow sensing in the range of 5-35 m/s.Debarun Sengupta Ssu-Han Chen Aron Michael Chee Yee Kwok Sean Lim Yutao Pei Ajay Giri Prakash Kottapalli 2020npj Flexible Electronics2020,4,1:2
