| 10 | Combustion synthesis, characterization and luminescence properties of barium aluminate phosphor显示文摘The blue-green emitting Eu2+ and Nd3+ doped polycrystalline barium aluminate(BaAl2O4:Eu2+,Nd3+) phosphor, was prepared by a solution-combustion method at 500 oC without a post-annealing process. The characteristic variation in the structural and luminescence properties of the as-prepared samples was evaluated with regards to a change in the Ba/Al molar ratio from 0.1:1 to 1.4:1. The morphologies and the phase structures of the products were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), while the optical properties were investigated using ultra-violet(UV) and photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy, respectively. The XRD and TEM results revealed that the average crystallite size of the BaAl2O4:Eu2+,Nd3+ phosphor was about 70 nm. The broad-band UV-excited luminescence of the phosphors was observed at λmax=500 nm due to transitions from the 4f65d1 to the 4f7 configuration of the Eu2+ ion. The PL results indicated that the main peaks in the emission and excitation spectrum of phosphor particles slightly shifted to the short wavelength due to the changes in the crystal field due to the structure changes caused by the variation in the quantity of the Ba ions in the host lattice. | A.H. | 11 | Prediction of yttrium, lanthanum, cerium, and neodymium leaching recovery from apatite concentrate using artificial neural networks显示文摘The assay and recovery of rare earth elements (REEs) in the leaching process is being determined using expensive analytical methods: inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) and inductively coupled plasma mass spec- troscopy (ICP-MS). A neural network model to predict the effects of operational variables on the lanthanum, cerium, yttrium, and neodymium recovery in the leaching of apatite concentrate is presented in this article. The effects of leaching time (10 to 40 min), pulp densities (30% to 50%), acid concentrations (20% to 60%), and agitation rates (100 to 200 r/min), were investigated and opti- mized on the recovery of REEs in the laboratory at a leaching temperature of 60°C. The obtained data in the laboratory optimization process were used for training and testing the neural network. The feed-forward artificial neural network with a 4-5-5-1 arrangement was capable of estimating the leaching recovery of REEs. The neural network predicted values were in good agreement with the experimental results. The correlations of R=1 in training stages, and R=0.971, 0.952, 0.985, and 0.98 in testing stages were a result of Ce, Nd, La, and Y recovery prediction respectively, and these values were usually acceptable. It was shown that the proposed neural network model accurately reproduced all the effects of the operation variables, and could be used in the simulation of a leaching plant for REEs. | E. | 13 | 妊娠期及产后静脉血栓栓塞的发生率、危险因素及死亡率显示文摘Objective: The purpose of this study was to estimate the incidence,risk factors, and mortality from pregnancy-related venous thromboembolism. Study design: The Nationwide Inpatient Sample from the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for the years 2000 to 2001 was queried for all pregnancy-related discharges with a diagnosis of venous thromboembolism. Results: The rate of venous thromboembolism was 1.72 per 1000 deliveries with 1.1 deaths per 100,000. The risk of venous thromboembolism was 38% higher for women ages 35 and older and 64% higher for black women. Other significant risk factors included thrombophilia, lupus, heart disease, sickle cell disease,obesity, fluid and electrolyte imbalance, postpartum infection,and transfusion. The risk factor with the highest odds ratio, 51.8(38.7- 69.2) was thrombophilia. Conclusion: The incidence of pregnancy-related venous thromboembolism was higher than generally quoted.
