| 1 | Evolution and variation of the Tsushima warm current during the late Quaternary: Evidence from planktonic foraminifera, oxygen and carbon isotopes显示文摘The evolution and variation history of the Tsushima warm current during the late Quaternary was reconstructed based on the quantitative census data of planktonic foraminiferal fauna, together with oxygen and carbon isotope records of mixed layer dweller G. ruber and thermocline dweller N. dutertrei in piston core CSH1 and core DGKS9603 collected separately from the Tsushima warm current and the Kuroshio dominated area. The result showed that the Tsushima warm current vanished in the lowstand period during 40―24 cal ka BP, while the Kuroshio still flowed across the Okinawa Trough, arousing strong upwelling in the northern Trough. Meanwhile, the influence of freshwater greatly increased in the northern Okinawa Trough, as the broad East China Sea continental shelf emerged. The freshwater reached its maximum during the last glacial maximum (LGM), when the upwelling obviously weakened for the lowest sea-level and the depression of the Kuroshio. The modern Tsushima warm current began its development since 16 cal ka BP, and the impact of the Kuroshio increased in the middle and north- ern Okinawa Trough synchronously during the deglaciation and gradually evolved as the main water source of the Tsushima current. The modern Tsushima current finally formed at about 8.5 cal ka BP, since then the circulation structure has been relatively stable. The water of the modern Tsushima cur- rent primarily came from the Kuroshio axis. A short-term wiggle of the current occurred at about 3 cal ka BP, probably for the influences from the enhancement of the winter monsoon and the depression of the Kuroshio. | 2 | A broad deglacial δ^(13)C minimum event in planktonic foraminiferal records in the Okinawa Trough显示文摘The equatorial Pacific upwelling zone has been suspected of playing an important role in the global atmospheric CO2 changes associated with glacial-interglacial cycles. In order to assess the influencing scope of the surface water deglacial δ13C minimum in the tropical low-latitude Pacific, the core DGKS9603, collected from the middle Okinawa Trough, was examined for δ13C records of planktonic fo-raminifera N. dutertrei and G. ruber. The planktonic fo-raminiferal δ13C records show a clear decreasing event from 20 to 6 cal. kaBP., which is characterized by long duration of about 14 ka and amplitude shift of 0.4×10-3. Its minimum value occurred at 15.7 cal kaBP. The event shows fairly synchrony with the surface water deglacial δ13C minimum identified in the tropical Pacific and its marginal seas. | 3 | Development and characterization of a cell line from the embryos of half smooth tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis)显示文摘A new cell line,CSEC,has been successfully established from embryos at gastrula stage of a cultured marine fish,half smooth tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis).CSEC cells grow actively and stably more than 50 passages for over 200 d in DMEM medium supplemented with 15% FBS(fetal bovine serum),2.5 ng/cm 3 bFGF(basic fibroblast growth factor),1 ng/cm 3 LIF(leukemia inhibitory factor) and 50 mmol/dm 3 2-ME(2-mecaptoethanol).The cells grew well in the temperature range of 24-30 ℃ and the optimal growth temperature was 24℃.FBS and bFGF concentrations are the two key components for CSEC cells proliferation.Chromosome analysis reveals that CSEC cells have a normal diploid karyotype with 2n=42t.The significant fluorescent signals were observed in CSEC after transfection with the GFP reporter gene,suggesting that the CSEC cell line can be used as a useful tool for transgenic and genetic manipulation studies.CSEC cells showed the cytopathic effect(CPE) after infection with lymphosystis disease virus(LCDV) in 2 d.Moreover,the LCDV particles can be observed in the cytoplasm of virus-infected cells by electron microscopy.It suggests that CSEC could be potentially used for the study of aquatic virus. | SHA Zhenxia REN Guocheng WANG Xianli WANG Na CHEN Songlin | 2010 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2010,29,2: | 7 |

| 5 | Effect of Fouling Organisms on Food Uptake and Nutrient Release of Scallop (Chlamys nobilis, Reeve) Cultured in Daya Bay显示文摘Biofouling is an important factor that affects the bivalve farming industry. Fouling organisms may reduce growth and survival rate of the cultured species. Fouler are often filter feeders, so they are potential competitors for food resource with the cul- tured species. The present study was conducted to measure the impact of fouling on food uptake and nutrient release in April and June, 2006 in Daya Bay near Guangzhou, China. Results showed that fouling organisms had significant effect on food uptake and nutrient release. The chlorophyll a uptake rate of fouled scallops was 7.53 Lh-1 ± 1.416 Lh-1 and 11.94 Lh-1± 2.497 Lh-1 in April and June, respectively, significantly higher than those of cleaned scallops, i.e., 4.23 Lh-1 ± 2.744 Lh-1 and 2.57 Lh-1 ± 1.832 Lh-1 respectively. The consumption of total particulate matter by fouled scallops in April and June was 5.52 Lh-1 ± 0.818 Lh-1 and 3.07 Lh-1 ± 0.971 Lh-1, respectively; the corresponding results for cleaned scallops are 2.49 Lh-1 ± 0.614 Lh-1 and 2.37 ± 1.214 Lh-1, respectively. Fouling in- creased ammonia release significantly. The ammonia release rate of fouled scallops was 33.81 Lh-1±7.699 Lh-1 and 76.39 Lh-1 ± 9.251 Lh-1 in April and June, while cleaned scallops released 2.46 Lh-1 ± 0.511 Lh-1 and 7.23 Lh-1 ± 1.026 Lh-1 ammonia, respectively. Phos- phate release of fouled scallops was 22.72 Lh-1 ± 9.978 Lh-1 in June and cleaned scallops released phosphate 6.01 Lh-1 ± 0.876 Lh-1 in April. | 6 | The sedimentation rates in the Okinawa Trough during the Late Quaternary显示文摘On the basis of accelerator mass spectrometer radiocarbon (AMS14C) dating, sedimentation rates of 11 cores collected from thenorthern to southern Okinawa Trough are discussed. The sedimentation rates in the Okinawa Trough roughly range from 11 to 39cm/ka, and the average is 23.0 cm/ka. China’s continental matter is the main sediment source of the middle Okinawa Trough and hasimportant contribution to the northern and southern Okinawa Trough. The sedimentation rates during the marine oxygen isotope (MIS)2 are uniformly higher than those during MIS 1 in the northern and middle Okinawa Trough while they are on the contrary in thesouthern Okinawa Trough. | 7 | Microstructure and Wear Behavior of Ti-6Al-4V Treated by Plasma Zr-alloying and Plasma Nitriding显示文摘A duplex treatment of plasma Zr-alloying and plasma nitriding was used to improve the tribological properties of Ti-6Al-4V. The microstructure of the Zr-N composite(alloyed) layer formed on Ti-6Al-4V and its hardness, friction and wear properties were investigated by using OM, SEM, GDOES, EDS, microhardness tester as well as ball-on-disk tribometer. The results of microstructural analysis show that the alloyed layer is compact and uniform and is mainly composed of ZrN, TiN_(0.3) and AlN. A very tiny adhesive and slight oxidation wear is the primary wear mechanism for the modified Ti-6Al-4V. The tribological property is improved significantly after the duplex treatment. | 10 | Can we reestablish a self-sustaining population?A case study on reintroduced Crested Ibis with population viability analysis显示文摘Background:One of the most challenging tasks in wildlife conservation and management is clarifying which and how external and intrinsic factors influence wildlife demography and long-term viability.The wild population of the Crested Ibis(Nipponia nippon)has recovered to approximately 4400,and several reintroduction programs have been carried out in China,Japan and Korea.Population viability analysis on this endangered species has been limited to the wild population,showing that the long-term population growth is restricted by the carrying capacity and inbreeding.However,gaps in knowledge of the viability of the reintroduced population and its drivers in the release environment impede the identification of the most effective population-level priorities for aiding in species recovery.Methods:The field monitoring data were collected from a reintroduced Crested Ibis population in Ningshan,China from 2007 to 2018.An individual-based VORTEX model(Version 10.3.5.0)was used to predict the future viability of the reintroduced population by incorporating adaptive patterns of ibis movement in relation to catastrophe frequency,mortality and sex ratio.Results:The reintroduced population in Ningshan County is unlikely to go extinct in the next 50 years.The popula-tion size was estimated to be 367,and the population genetic diversity was estimated to be 0.97.Sensitivity analysis showed that population size and extinction probability were dependent on the carrying capacity and sex ratio.The carrying capacity is the main factor accounting for the population size and genetic diversity,while the sex ratio is the primary factor responsible for the population growth trend.Conclusions:A viable population of the Crested Ibis can be established according to population viability analysis.Based on our results,conservation management should prioritize a balanced sex ratio,high-quality habitat and low mortality. | Yashuai Zhan Fang Wang Zhenxia Cui Min Li Xia Li Xinping Ye Xiaoping Yu | 2021 | Avian Research2021,12,2: | 2 |

The results suggest that, due to the excitation of atmospheric low-frequency oscillation by the SSTA, ENSO has significant lag influence on the monsoon over East Asia.During the summer after El Nino, the subtropical high over western Pacific is intensified and shows the northward and westward displacement, meanwhile, the rainfall over East China is below normal, especially in North China; during the winter after El Nino, both the Asian trough and the winter monsoon over East Asia are strengthened. During the summer after La Nina, the anomalous subtropical high prevails over the lower reaches of Yangtze (Changjiang) River, the rainfall between Yangtze and Huaihe Rivers is below normal; during the winter after La Nina,both the Asian trough and the winter monsoon over East Asia are weaker. | 14 | An Experimental Study on the Effects of a Film Cooling Configuration and Mainstream Temperature on Depositing显示文摘The effects of a film cooling configuration and mainstream temperature on the depositing of particles are experimentally studied by using plate models. The particles are generated by melting wax and atomizing it. One model has a film cooling configuration and the other does not. The experimental results show that the film cooling configuration does not influence the depositing on the leading edge of the model very significantly. However, the film cooling configuration could increase the depositing on the upper surface of the model dramatically since the flow structure on the upper surface is changed due to the film cooling configuration. The effect of the mainstream temperature on the depositing is studied by using the model with film cooling configuration. The lower and higher mainstream temperature both could reduce the depositing. However, the mechanisms are different. The lower mainstream temperature could make more molten particles become solid particles, which could rebound from the surface of the model, reducing the depositing. The higher mainstream temperature could make all particles remain molten with higher temperature. In this case, more particles could splash from the surface of the model. | 15 | Wear and Corrosion Properties of Mo Surface-modified Layer in TiNi Alloy Prepared by Plasma Surface Alloying显示文摘In order to improve the wear resistance and restrain nickel release of TiNi alloys,the Mo modified layers on TiNi substrates were obtained using the double glow plasma surface alloying technique.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy(GDOES) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) were employed to investigate the morphology,composition and structure.Microhardness test and scratch test were performed to analyze the microhardness and coating/substrate adhesion.Tribological and electrochemical behaviors of the Mo modified layers on TiNi were tested by the reciprocating wear instrument and electrochemical measurement system.The Ni concentrations in Hanks' solution where surface electrochemical tests took place were measured by mass spectrometry.The surface-modified layer contained a Mo deposition layer and a Mo diffusion layer.The X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the modified layers were composed of Mo,MoTi,Mo Ni,and Ti_2Ni.The microhardnesses of the Mo modified layers treated at 900 ℃ and 950 ℃ were 832.8 HV and 762.4 HV,respectively,which was about 3 times the microhardness of the TiNi substrate.Scratch tests indicated that the modified layers possessed good adhesion with the substrate.Compared with as-received TiNi alloy,the modified alloys exhibited significant improvement of wear resistance against Si_3N_4 with low normal loads during the sliding tests.Mass spectrometry displayed that the Mo alloy layers had successfully inhibited the Ni release into the body. | 张红前 WANG Zhenxia YANG Hongyu SHAN Xiaolin LIU Xiaoping YU Shengwang 贺志勇 | 2016 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,4: | 1 |

| 17 | Ultrafine Fe-modulated Ni nanoparticles embedded within nitrogen-doped carbon from Zr-MOFs-confined conversion for efficient oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Improvement of the low-cost transition metal electrocatalyst used in sluggish oxygen evolution reaction is a significant but challenging problem. In this study, ultrafine Fe-modulated Ni nanoparticles embedded in a porous Ni-doped carbon matrix were produced by the pyrolysis of zirconium metal–organic–frameworks, in which 2,2′-bipyridine-5,5′-dicarboxylate operating as a ligand can coordinate with Ni^(2+) and Fe^(3+). This strategy allows formation of Fe-modulated Ni nanoparticles with a uniform dimension of about 2 nm which can be ascribed to the spatial blocking effect of ZrO_(2). This unique catalyst displays an efficient oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalytic activity with a low overpotential of 372 mV at 10 mA·cm^(–2) and a small Tafel slope of 84.4 mV·dec^(–1) in alkaline media. More importantly, it shows superior durability and structural stability after 43 h in a chronoamperometry test. Meanwhile, it shows excellent cycling stability during 4000 cyclic voltammetry cycles.
