1Spatial relationship of high-speed transportation construction and land-use efficiency and its mechanism:Case study of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration显示文摘Land-use efficiency is low for the urban agglomeration of China.High-speed transportation construction has been an important factor driving land use change.It is criti?cally importa nt to explore the spatial relati on ship between the high-speed transportation su?periority degree and land-use efficie ncy.We built a model to evaluate the ben efits of con?venient high-speed transportation using the relative density of highways and the distanee from high-speed rail stations and airports as a metric.We used 42 coun ties of the Shan dong Peninsula urban agglomeration as an example.Land?use efficiency was calculated by a DEA model with capital,labor,economic ben efits and envir on mental ben efits as input and output factors.We examined the spatial relati on ships betwee n high-speed tran sport superiority degree and land-use efficiency and obtained the following results.First,there are significant spatial differe nces in the relati on ships betwee n the high-speed transportati on superiority degree and land-use efficiency.Taking the two major cities of Jinan and Qingdao as the hubs,the core surrounding counties show significant spatial relationship between land-use efficiency and the high-speed transportation superiority degree.Spatial correlation declines as the distance from the hubs in creases.Land-use efficiency is less tha n high-speed tran sportation convenience in areas along the transportation trunks that are distant from the hub cities.Correlation is low in areas that are away from both hub cities and transportation trunk routes.Second,high-speed transportation has a positive relationship with land?use efficiency due to the mechanism of element agglomeration exogenous growth.Third,high-speed transportation facilitates the flow of goods,services and tech no logies between core cities and peripheral cities as space spillover(the hub effect).This alters the spatial pattern of regional land-use efficiency.Fin ally,the short-board effect caused by decreased high-speed tran sport corn struction can be balaneed by highway construction and the proper node layouts of high-speed rail stations and airports,resulting in a well-balaneed spatial pattern of land?use efficiency.CUI Xuegang FANG Chuanglin WANG Zhenbo BAO Chao 2019Journal of Geographical Sciences2019,29,4:8
2Heterogeneous lamellar-edged Fe-Ni(OH)_(2)/Ni_(3)S_(2)nanoarray for efficient and stable seawater oxidation显示文摘Development of efficient non-precious catalysts for seawater electrolysis is of great significance but challenging due to the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and the impairment of chlorine electrochemistry at anode.Herein,we report a heterostructure of Ni_(3)S_(2)nanoarray with secondary Fe-Ni(OH)_(2)lamellar edges that exposes abundant active sites towards seawater oxidation.The resultant Fe-Ni(OH)_(2)/Ni_(3)S_(2)nanoarray works directly as a free-standing anodic electrode in alkaline artificial seawater.It only requires an overpotential of 269 mV to afford a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)and the Tafel slope is as low as 46 m V·dec^(-1).The 27-hour chronopotentiometry operated at high current density of 100 mA·cm^(-2)shows negligible deterioration,suggesting good stability of the Fe-Ni(OH)_(2)/Ni_(3)S_(2)@NF electrode.Faraday efficiency for oxygen evolution is up to〜95%,revealing decent selectivity of the catalyst in saline water.Such desirable catalytic performance could be benefitted from the introduction of Fe activator and the heterostructure that offers massive active and selective sites.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations indicate that the OER has lower theoretical overpotential than Cl_(2) evolution reaction in Fe sites,which is contrary to that of Ni sites.The experimental and theoretical study provides a strong support for the rational design of high-performance Fe-based electrodes for industrial seawater electrolysis.Baihua Cui Zheng Hu Chang Liu Siliang Liu Fangshuai Chen Shi Hu Jinfeng Zhang Wei Zhou Yida Deng Zhenbo Qin Zhong Wu Yanan Chen Lifeng Cui Wenbin Hu 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:7
3Plantations of native shrub species restore soil microbial diversity in the Horqin Sandy Land, northeastern China显示文摘Caragana microphylla Lam., a leguminous shrub species, plays an important role in revegetation in the degraded ecosystems of the Horqin Sandy Land, Northeastern China. Large areas planted with this shrub have been artificially established as sand binders for soil protection, which might change the composition of soil bacterial communities with the development of sand dune stabilization. In this paper, we investigated the diversity and composition of native soil bacterial communities in the C. microphylla plantation for sand fixation using polymerase chain reaction with denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(PCR-DGGE) to understand the influence of this plantation on sandy soil ecosystem development. We collected soil samples from plantations with an age sequence of 0, 9, 16, and 26 years, as well as from the natural community, to identify the differences among soil bacterial communities. The result showed that bacterial abundance and community composition in the sandy land were affected by the age of the C. microphylla plantation. Moreover, bacterial diversity decreased with increasing plantation age, and the composition of the bacterial community in the 26-year plantation was similar to that in the natural community. Phylogenetic analysis of bands excised from the DGGE gels showed that members of alpha Proteobacterium, gamma Proteobacterium, Gemmatimonadetes and Chloroflexi were dominant in the sandy land. The stabilization of moving sand dune and development of sand-fixed plantation resulted in an increase of soil fertility, which could drive the structural evolvement of soil bacterial community, and it needs over 20 years for the soil bacterial community to form a stable structure, similar to the case for the natural vegetation.DeMing JIANG ChengYou CAO Ying ZHANG ZhenBo CUI XiaoShu HAN 2014Journal of Arid Land2014,6,4:5
