1Comparison of the Δ^(12) fatty acid desaturase gene between high-oleic and normal-oleic peanut genotypes显示文摘Δ12 fatty acid desaturase gene has been targeted as a logical candidate controlling the high oleate trait in peanut seeds.By RT-PCR method,the full-length cDNAs of Δ12 fatty acid desaturase gene were isolated from peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) genotypes with normal and high ratio of oleic to linoleic acid,which were designated AhFAD2B and AhFAD2B',respectively.Sequence alignment of their coding regions revealed that an extra A was inserted at the position +442 bp of AhFAD2B' sequence of high oleic acid genotypes,which resulted in the shift of open reading frame and a truncated protein AhFAD2B',with the loss of one histidine box involved in metal ion complex required for the reduction of oxygen.Analysis of transcript level showed that the expression of Δ12 fatty acid desaturase gene in high oleic acid genotype was slightly lower than that in normal genotype.The enzyme activity experiment of yeast(Saccharomyces cerevisiae) cell transformed with AhFAD2B or AhFAD2B' proved that only AhFAD2B gene product showed significant Δ12 fatty acid desaturase activity,but AhFAD2B' gene product did not.These results suggested that the change of AhFAD2B' gene sequence resulted in lower activity or deactivation of Δ12 fatty acid desaturase in high oleic acid genotype.ShanlinYu Lijuan Pan Qingli Yang Ping Min Zengkai Ren Hongsheng Zhang 2008Journal of Genetics and Genomics2008,35,11:23
2Integrated simulation and assessment of water quantity and quality for a river under changing environmental conditions显示文摘The water cycle and water resources within river basins under changing environmental conditions undergo profound changes, which have significant effects on the water environment of the river. Owing to the water resources demanded for economic and social development, water quantity and quality are becoming the core constraints of water resources development and utilization. In this paper, the dual attributes of water resources, progress into research regarding water quantity and quality joint assessment and simulation and the shortcomings associated with these techniques are summarized and described with respect to water quantity and quality. The results indicated that under the current environmental conditions, the method used for traditional water quality assessment of single water bodies cannot meet the requirements for water resources management. Moreover, a coupled hydrodynamic and water quality numerical model for river networks and lakes that applies to the river water environment system was developed for the river network flow and pollutant migration and transformation process and validated. This validation revealed that the error between the simulated values calculated by the model and the monitored values was small, meeting the application requirements and realizing the integrated and dynamic simulation of water quantity and quality of the river water environmental system. 4Poly-β-hydroxybutyrate alleviated diarrhea and colitis via Lactobacillus johnsonii biofilm-mediated maturation of sulfomucin显示文摘Maintainance of sulfomucin is a key end point in the treatment of diarrhea and inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).However,the mechanisms underlying the microbial sense to sulfomucin are poorly understood,and to date,there are no therapies targeting the secretion and maturation of sulfomucin in IBD.Herein,we biosynthesized poly-β-hydroxybutyrate(PHB)and found that PHB could alleviate inflammation caused by diarrhea and colitis by enhancing the differentiation of sulfomucin.Microbiota transplantation and clearance together demonstrate that PHB promoting sulfomucin is mediated by Lactobacillus johnsonii(L.johnsonii).Further studies revealed that PHB provides a favorable niche for L.johnsonii biofilm formation to resist disturbance and support its growth.L.johnsonii-biofilm alleviates colitis by regulating fucose residues to promote goblet cell differentiation and subsequent sulfomucin maturation.Importantly,PHB alleviates colitis by enhancing sulfomucin secretion and maturation in a L.johnsonii-dependent manner.PHB represents a class of guardians,acting as a safe probiotic-biofilm delivery system that significantly promotes probiotic proliferation.Altogether,this study adds weight to the possible role of probiotics and functional materials in the treatment of intestinal inflammation.The application of PHB and biofilm self-coating L.johnsonii carries high translational potential and may be of clinical relevance.Ning Ma Pingting Guo Jingyu Chen Zengkai Qi Chunchen Liu Jiakun Shen Yiwei Sun Xiyue Chen Guo-Qiang Chen Xi Ma 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,7:2

6Multi-objective optimization of environmental tax for mitigating air pollution and greenhouse gas显示文摘Government macro-control through various policies is an important way to mitigate air pollution and greenhouse gases.Therefore,environmental tax is used worldwide as an important measure.However,few studies have considered the interaction between carbon and environmental protection taxes.Additionally,different sectors differ in their energy structure,pollution emission intensity,and economic status,and previous studies rarely proposed differentiated environmental tax rates based at the sectoral level.A model framework combining the computable general equilibrium(CGE)model and Bayesian optimization(BO)algorithm is proposed to maximize GDP,meet environmental planning objectives,and explore the optimal environmental taxation scheme to realize the multi-objective optimization of the economy and environment.Meanwhile,this study compares the different impact mechanisms of environmental protection tax and carbon tax.It discusses the impacts of differentiated environmental tax rates in different sectors on the environment and economy.For example,the results show that the coordinated implementation of environmental protection and carbon tax policies and the sectoral differentiated environmental tax rates in China could better balance economic development and environmental governance.Additionally,the optimal taxation scheme could mitigate air pollution and greenhouse gases,promote economic growth,and realize sustainable economic and environmental development.Furthermore,the optimized taxation scheme positively affects the energy and industrial structures.Sijing Li Ning Jia Zhenni Chen Huibin Du Zengkai Zhang Bomin Bian 2022Journal of Management Science and Engineering2022,7,3:1

9Energy-saving and economic analysis of passive radiative sky cooling for telecommunication base station in China显示文摘The widespread application of 4G and the rapid development of 5G technologies dramatically increase the energy consumption of telecommunication base station (TBS). Remarkably, the air conditioning system accounts for a significant part of energy consumption in TBS. In this work, passive radiative sky cooling technology has been studied to explore its application potential for TBS. We built a simulation model in DeST to investigate the effect of various envelope thermophysical properties on TBS energy saving. The main influencing factors of the radiative sky cooling on TBS energy saving have been concluded and guidance has been raised for further application. An optimized envelope design combining radiative sky cooling with appropriate heat transfer coefficients has been proposed. The energy-saving and economic analysis of the optimized envelope design at different areas shows that, except for the low heat density TBS in severe cold areas, the annual energy-saving rate is 6.77%–64.29%, and the annual total energy saving is 21.94 kWh/m2–52.74 kWh/m2. 16De novo myelodysplastic syndrome in a Rothmund-Thomson Syndrome patient with novel pathogenic RECQL4 variants显示文摘Rothmund-Thomson syndrome(RTS)is a rare autosomal-recessive disorder with clinical features consisting of rash,poikiloderma,sparse hair,short stature,juvenile cataracts,skeletal abnormalities,and cancer predisposition.Genetic studies involving detection of pathogenic RECQL4 variants provide the diagnostic certitude.Osteosarcoma was found in two-thirds RECQL4-mutated RTS patients,while hematological malignancies were rarely reported.The variant diversity of RECQL4 gene has not been fully identified and mutations associated with hematologic malignancies are not well described.In this study,we presented a pedigree of RTS from a Chinese family,among which the proband was diagnosed with de novo myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS).Comprehensive medical examination and chromosome karyotyping were performed on the proband.Whole exome sequencing(WES)was performed on the proband,his sister and his mother.The familial cosegregation of sequence variants derived from WES was conducted by polymerase chain reaction–based Sanger sequencing.Structures of candidate RECQL4 mutants were done by in silico analysis to assess pathogenicity.Three novel RECQL4 germline variants,including c.T274C,c.G3014A,and c.G801C,were identified by WES and validated by Sanger sequencing.Prediction of conformation indicated that the structural stability of human RECQL4 protein was largely affected with these variants.The co-occurring U2AF1 p.S34F and TP53 p.Y220C mutations might contribute to the development of MDS.Our study expands the mutational spectrum of RECQL4 and provides underlying molecular mechanism for the development of MDS in RTS patients.Chuanhe Jiang Hao Zhang Chuxian Zhao Luxiang Wang Xiaoxia Hu Zengkai Pan 2023Blood Science2023,5,2:1

18CoS Nanosheets Coated with Dopamine-Derived Carbon Standing on Carbon Fiber Cloth as Binder-Free Anode for Li-ion Batteries显示文摘Cobalt sulphides attract much attention as anode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs).However,its poor conductivity,low initial column efficiency and large volume changes during cycling have hindered its further development.Herein,novel interlaced CoS nanosheets were firstly prepared on Carbon Fiber Cloth(CFC)by two hydrothermal reactions followed with carbon coating via carbonizing dopamine(CoS NS@C/CFC).As a freestanding anode,the nanosheet structure of CoS not only accommodates the volume variation,but also provides a large interface area to proceed the charge transfer reaction.In addition,CFC works as both a three-dimensional skeleton and an active substance which can further improve the areal capacity of the resulting electrode.Furthermore,the coated carbon combined with the CFC work as a 3D conductive network to facilitate the electron conduction.The obtained CoS NS@C/CFC,and the contrast sample prepared with the same procedure but without carbon coating(CoS NS/CFC),are characterized with XRD,SEM,TEM,XPS and electrochemical measurements.The results show that the CoS NS@C/CFC possesses much improved electrochemical performance due to the synergistic effect of nanosheet CoS,the coated carbon and the CFC substrate,exhibiting high initial columbic efficiency(~87%),high areal capacity(2.5 at 0.15 mA cm−2),excellent rate performance(1.6 at 2.73 mA cm−2)and improved cycle stability(87.5%capacity retention after 300 cycles).This work may provide a new route to explore freestanding anodes with high areal specific capacity for LIBs.Lianyuan Ji Mingchen Shi Zengkai Feng Hui Yang 2024Journal of Renewable Materials2024,12,2:0
