| 1 | γ-MnO2 nanorods/graphene composite as efficient cathode for advanced rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion battery显示文摘Aqueous Zn//MnO2 batteries are emerging as promising large-scale energy storage devices owing to their cost-effectiveness,high safety,high output voltage,and energy density.However,the MnO2 cathode suffers from intrinsically poor rate performance and rapid capacity deterioration.Here,we remove the roadblock by compositing MnO2 nanorods with highly conductive graphene,which remarkably enhances the electrochemical properties of the MnO2 cathode.Benefiting from the boosted electric conductivity and ion diffusion rate as well as the structural protection of graphene,the Zn//MnO2-graphene battery presents an admirable capacity of 301 mAh g^-1 at 0.5 A g^-1,corresponding to a high energy density of 411.6 Wh kg^-1.Even at a high current density of 10 A g^-1,a decent capacity of 95.8 mAh g^-1 is still obtained,manifesting its excellent rate property.Furthermore,an impressive power density of 15 kW kg^-1 is achieved by the Zn//MnO2-graphene battery. | Chao Wang Yinxiang Zeng Xiang Xiao Shijia Wu Guobin Zhong Kaiqi Xu Zengfu Wei Wei Su Xihong Lu | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,4: | 13 |
| 2 | Robust and Accurate Monocular Visual Navigation Combining IMU for a Quadrotor显示文摘In this paper, we present a multi-sensor fusion based monocular visual navigation system for a quadrotor with limited payload, power and computational resources. Our system is equipped with an inertial measurement unit(IMU), a sonar and a monocular down-looking camera. It is able to work well in GPS-denied and markerless environments. Different from most of the keyframe-based visual navigation systems, our system uses the information from both keyframes and keypoints in each frame. The GPU-based speeded up robust feature(SURF)is employed for feature detection and feature matching. Based on the flight characteristics of quadrotor, we propose a refined preliminary motion estimation algorithm combining IMU data.A multi-level judgment rule is then presented which is beneficial to hovering conditions and reduces the error accumulation effectively. By using the sonar sensor, the metric scale estimation problem has been solved. We also present the novel IMU+3P(IMU with three point correspondences) algorithm for accurate pose estimation. This algorithm transforms the 6-DOF pose estimation problem into a 4-DOF problem and can obtain more accurate results with less computation time. We perform the experiments of monocular visual navigation system in real indoor and outdoor environments. | 3 | A HMM-based Mandarin Chinese Singing Voice Synthesis System显示文摘We propose a mandarin Chinese singing voice synthesis system, in which hidden Markov model(HMM)-based speech synthesis technique is used. A mandarin Chinese singing voice corpus is recorded and musical contextual features are well designed for training. F0 and spectrum of singing voice are simultaneously modeled with context-dependent HMMs. There is a new problem, F0 of singing voice is always sparse because of large amount of context, i.e., tempo and pitch of note, key, time signature and etc. So the features hardly ever appeared in the training data cannot be well obtained. To address this problem,difference between F0 of singing voice and that of musical score(DF0) is modeled by a single Viterbi training. To overcome the over-smoothing of the generated F0 contour, syllable level F0 model based on discrete cosine transforms(DCT) is applied, F0 contour is generated by integrating two-level statistical models.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system outperforms the baseline system in both objective and subjective evaluations. The proposed system can generate a more natural F0 contour. | 4 | Radiotherapy combined with immunotherapy:the dawn of cancer treatment显示文摘Radiotherapy(RT)is delivered for purposes of local control,but can also exert systemic effect on remote and non-irradiated tumor deposits,which is called abscopal effect.The view of RT as a simple local treatment has dramatically changed in recent years,and it is now widely accepted that RT can provoke a systemic immune response which gives a strong rationale for the combination of RT and immunotherapy(iRT).Nevertheless,several points remain to be addressed such as the interaction of RT and immune system,the identification of the best schedules for combination with immunotherapy(IO),the expansion of abscopal effect and the mechanism to amplify iRT.To answer these crucial questions,we roundly summarize underlying rationale showing the whole immune landscape in RT and clinical trials to attempt to identify the best schedules of iRT.In consideration of the rarity of abscopal effect,we propose that the occurrence of abscopal effect induced by radiation can be promoted to 100%in view of molecular and genetic level.Furthermore,the“radscopal effect”which refers to using low-dose radiation to reprogram the tumor microenvironment may amplify the occurrence of abscopal effect and overcome the resistance of iRT.Taken together,RT could be regarded as a trigger of systemic antitumor immune response,and with the help of IO can be used as a radical and systemic treatment and be added into current standard regimen of patients with metastatic cancer. | Zengfu Zhang Xu Liu Dawei Chen Jinming Yu | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8: | 3 |

| 7 | p53-dependent upregulation of PIG3 transcription by γ-ray irradiation and its interaction with KAP1 in responding to DNA damage显示文摘PIG3 (p53-inducible gene 3), originally identified as one of a set of genes induced by p53 before the onset of apoptosis, was assumed to contribute to early cellular response to DNA damage. Here, we studied the relation between p53 status and the increased expression of PIG3 by ionizing radiation (IR), and the related clues regarding the involvement of PIG3 in the cellular response to IR-induced DNA damage signaling. We demonstrated that the pentanucleotide microsatellite sequence was responsible for the p53-dependent induction of PIG3 transcription after irradiation, while sequence upstream of PIG3 promoter could maintain the basal level of expression which was not inducible by irradiation. The interaction of PIG3 and the KRAB-ZFP-associated protein 1 (KAP1), a DNA damage response protein, was revealed. PIG3 nucleus foci were formed 15 min after γ-ray irradiation, and which were found to partially colocalize with the phospho-KAP-1 foci as well as γ-H2AX foci. Although the lac operator tagged EGFP based reporter system revealed that PIG3 does not remodel chromatin in large scale in the cells under normal growing condition, it indeed prompted the chromatin relaxation in the cellular response to DNA damage signaling. | 11 | An Evaluation Framework for Virtual Articulatory Movements Based on Medical Video显示文摘An important aspect of a Speech tutoring aimed talking-head system(STTS) is the accuracy of produced articulatory movements. Little work has been done for the Articulatory movements' accuracy(AMA)evaluation in STTSs. Although subjective evaluation is reliable, it is time consuming and inconvenient. The traditional objective evaluation is comparing the motion of several points on the surface of the synthetic articulator to the Electromagnetic articulography(EMA) data which describes the motion of corresponding points on the articulatory surface of a speaker. The EMA information is too limited to describe the whole shape changing of deformable articulators for a speech process. To solve this problem, we propose a substantially different objective evaluation method based on a separately recorded medical video. The synthetic articulatory shapes in a speech process are compared to the corresponding shapes tracked from the medical video. This method is translation,rotation, and scaling invariant which allows the comparison of the shapes from the synthetic tongue and the medical images. The time difference problem of synthesis results and medical video is solved by introducing Dynamic time warping(DTW) to the proposed method. Experimental results demonstrate that our method has the ability to evaluate the deformation shape accuracy from an entire articulation process. | 18 | Automatic Tongue Tracking in X-Ray Images显示文摘X-ray imaging is an effective technique to obtain the continuous motions of the vocal tract during speech, and Active appearance model(AAM) is a useful tool to analyze the X-ray images. However, for the task of tongue tracking in X-ray images, the accuracy of AAM fitting is insufficient. AAM aims to minimize the residual error between the model appearance and the input image. It often fails to accurately converge to the true landmarks. To improve the tracking accuracy, we propose a fitting method by combining Constrained local model(CLM) into AAM.In our method, we first combine the objective functions of AAM and CLM into a single objective function. Then,we pro ject out the texture variation and derive a gradient based method to optimize the objective function. Our method effectively incorporates not only the shape prior and global texture, but also local texture around each landmark. Experiments demonstrate that the proposed method significantly reduces the fitting error.
