| 1 | Heavy metals contents in soil profiles of typical agricultural lands in Yixing,Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘The effect of land use pattern on the heavy metals(HMs)distribution in soil profiles was investigated in Yixing City,China,for the four typical types of land utilization,i.e.vegetable fields on the plain,paddy fields,tea gardens on hilly lands and bamboo groves.The variance of HMs concentration in the depth of 0-15 cm,15-30 cm,30-60 cm of soil profiles was compared among the different tillage ages. Results showed there was a notable accumulation of Cd,Hg,Cu,Pb,Zn and Cr in the soil profiles of vegetable fields and paddy fields causing a pollution of Cu,Hg and Cd in some profiles,while no remarkable accumulation of HMs in the soil profiles of the tea gardens and bamboo groves was found. The accumulation extent of HMs in the soil profiles of the four kinds of land use followed a sequence of vegetable fields>paddy fields>tea gardens>bamboo groves.The accumulation of HMs was mainly due to the industry,transportation,other urban human activities,and intensive use of fertilizers and pesticides.The downward leaching of HMs was relatively remarkable in the soil profiles of vegetable fields. There was an accumulation in surface and subsurface layers for Cd,Hg,Pb,Zn in the soil profiles of paddy fields and tea gardens,and for Cd,Hg in those of bamboo groves.Serious pollution effects of Hg, Pb,and Zn have been shown in the soil of vegetable fields.All the four kinds of agricultural land are basically free from the pollution of the external sources of As and Ni.With the increase of tillage time, the soil of vegetable and paddy fields will face the potential risk of HMs pollution,which mainly comes from Hg,Cd and Cu,whereas that of tea gardens and bamboo groves faces a relatively small risk. | Zhou ShengLu Liao FuQiang Wu ShaoHua Zhang HongFu Ren Kui | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1: | 11 |
| 2 | Scalable volumetric imaging for ultrahigh-speed brain mapping at synaptic resolution显示文摘The speed of high-resolution optical imaging has been a rate-limiting factor for meso-scale mapping of brain structures and functional circuits,which is of fundamental importance for neuroscience research.Here,we describe a new microscopy method of Volumetric Imaging with Synchronized on-the-fly-scan and Readout(VISo R)for high-throughput,high-quality brain mapping.Combining synchronized scanning beam illumination and oblique imaging over cleared tissue sections in smooth motion,the VISo R system effectively eliminates motion blur to obtain undistorted images.By continuously imaging moving samples without stopping,the system achieves high-speed 3D image acquisition of an entire mouse brain within1.5 hours,at a resolution capable of visualizing synaptic spines.A pipeline is developed for sample preparation,imaging,3D image reconstruction and quantification.Our approach is compatible with immunofluorescence methods,enabling flexible cell-type specific brain mapping and is readily scalable for large biological samples such as primate brains.Using this system,we examined behaviorally relevant whole-brain neuronal activation in 16 c-Fos-sh EGFP mice under resting or forced swimming conditions.Our results indicate the involvement of multiple subcortical areas in stress response.Intriguingly,neuronal activation in these areas exhibits striking individual variability among different animals,suggesting the necessity of sufficient cohort size for such studies. | Hao Wang Qingyuan Zhu Lufeng Ding Yan Shen Chao-Yu Yang Fang Xu Chang Shu Yujie Guo Zhiwei Xiong Qinghong Shan Fan Jia Peng Su Qian-Ru Yang Bing Li Yuxiao Cheng Xiaobin He Xi Chen Feng Wu Jiang-Ning Zhou Fuqiang Xu Hua Han Pak-Ming Lau Guo-Qiang Bi | 2019 | National Science Review2019,6,5: | 7 |
| 3 | Spatial distribution and sources of soil heavy metals in the outskirts of Yixing City,Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘City outskirts serve as the concentration centers for the pollutants discharged from various sources such as industry,agriculture and transportation.With the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization,the eco-environment of the city outskirts has become a hot spot of public concern.An analysis was conducted in this paper on the soil in the outskirts of Yixing City using frequency distribution functions.The heavy metal sources in this region had been divided into two components,i.e.natural background component and strong human disturbance component.The corresponding interpretation of the distribution pattern and features of heavy metal elements was presented by spatial analysis.The results showed that the strong human disturbance components of Hg,Pb,and Cu accounted for 36.9%, 26.7%,and 23.3%in their contents respectively,which indicated directly the serious effect of human activities on heavy metal contents.Hg and Pb,because of the human disturbance,showed the greatest spatial variability,and human activities intensified the heterogeneity of the spatial distribution.The anisotropic analysis showed the higher organisation of Hg and Zn in the direction of urban-rural transition,which indicated their spatial characteristics with urban-rural transition.Pb displayed distinctive structure in the vertical direction of urban-rural transition,which was largely controlled by highway distribution.Cu content in paddy fields was significantly higher than those of other land-use-types,and the agricultural non-point source pollution played an important role in the distribution pattern of Cu. | ShaoHua Wu ShengLu Zhou DeZhi Yang FuQiang Liao HongFu Zhang Kui Ren | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1: | 7 |

| 5 | Low-altitude small-sized object detection using lightweight feature-enhanced convolutional neural network显示文摘Unauthorized operations referred to as“black flights”of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)pose a significant danger to public safety,and existing low-attitude object detection algorithms encounter difficulties in balancing detection precision and speed.Additionally,their accuracy is insufficient,particularly for small objects in complex environments.To solve these problems,we propose a lightweight feature-enhanced convolutional neural network able to perform detection with high precision detection for low-attitude flying objects in real time to provide guidance information to suppress black-flying UAVs.The proposed network consists of three modules.A lightweight and stable feature extraction module is used to reduce the computational load and stably extract more low-level feature,an enhanced feature processing module significantly improves the feature extraction ability of the model,and an accurate detection module integrates low-level and advanced features to improve the multiscale detection accuracy in complex environments,particularly for small objects.The proposed method achieves a detection speed of 147 frames per second(FPS)and a mean average precision(mAP)of 90.97%for a dataset composed of flying objects,indicating its potential for low-altitude object detection.Furthermore,evaluation results based on microsoft common objects in context(MS COCO)indicate that the proposed method is also applicable to object detection in general. | YE Tao ZHAO Zongyang ZHANG Jun CHAI Xinghua ZHOU Fuqiang | 2021 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2021,32,4: | 5 |

| 8 | Spatial Distribution and Changes of Heavy Metals of Agricultural Lands in Typical Pregrading Coast in Dongtai City,Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘According to the historical changes of coastal lines, seven soil sampling districts, from land to sea, were arranged in Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province to sample soils from surface and profile. Concentrations of seven major heavy metals (HMs), granularity, pH, organic matters and C/N of the soil samples were analyzed. Results show that concentrations of heavy metals in agricultural land present a certain spatial variance, decreasing from land to sea. Pollution assessment indicates that the agricultural soils were not polluted by HMs, but the potential pollution of Cu and Hg needs to be alerted. Different HMs accumulate in the surface and sub-surface of the soil profiles, and concentrations of Hg and Pb decrease significantly with the increment of soil depth. Concentrations of HMs exhibit a significantly negative correlation to pH, but have no significant relation with organic matters in soil. Principle component analysis show that the concentrations of HMs relate to the land use history. Concentrations of Hg, Ni and Cr in soil are closely related with land use history, and concentrations of Pb, Cu and Cr are affected by land use history as well as other factors. | 20 | N-acetylaspartylglutamate Inhibits Heroin Self-Administration and Heroin-Seeking Behaviors Induced by Cue or Priming in Rats显示文摘Activation of presynaptic group II metabotropic glutamate receptors(mGluR2/3) inhibits drug reward and drug-seeking behavior, but the role of N-acetylaspartylglutamate(NAAG), an agonist of endogenous mGluR2/3,in heroin reward and heroin-seeking behavior remained unclear. Here, we aimed to explore the effects of exogenous NAAG on heroin self-administration and heroinseeking behavior. First, rats were trained to self-administer heroin under a fixed ratio 1(FR1) schedule for 10 days,then received NAAG(50 or 100μg/10 μL in each nostril)in the absence or presence of LY341495(1 mg/kg, i.p.), an antagonist of mGluR2/3, on day 11 and the effects of NAAG on heroin self-administration under FR1 were recorded for 3 consecutive days. Motivation was assessed in heroin self-administration under a progressive ratio schedule on day 11 in another 5 groups with the same doses of NAAG. Additional rats were withdrawn for 14 days after 14 days of heroin self-administration, then received the same pharmacological pretreatment and were tested for heroin-seeking behaviors induced by heroin priming or cues. The results showed that intranasal administration of NAAG significantly decreased intravenous heroin selfadministration on day 12, but not on day 11. Pretreatment with LY341495 prior to testing on day 12 prevented the inhibitory effect of NAAG on heroin reinforcement. The break-point for reward motivation was significantly reduced by NAAG. Moreover, NAAG also significantly inhibited the heroin-seeking behaviors induced by heroinpriming or cues and these were restored by pretreatment with LY341495.
