| 1 | Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous Plutonism in the Northern Part of the Precambrian North China Craton:SHRIMP Zircon U-Pb Dating of Diorites and Granites from the Yunmengshan Geopark,Beijing显示文摘The Yunmengshan Geopark in northern Beijing is located within the Yanshan range.It contains the Yunmengshan batholith,which is dominated by two plutons:the Yunmengshan gneissic granite and the Shicheng gneissic diorite.Four samples of the Yunmengshan gneissic granite give SHRIMP zircon U-Pb ages from 145 to 141 Ma,whereas four samples of the Shicheng gneissic diorite have ages from 159 Ma to 151 Ma.Dikes that cut the Yunmengshan diorite record SHRIMP zircon UPb age of 162±2 and 156±4 Ma.The cumulative plots of zircons from the diorites show a peak age of 155 Ma,without inherited zircon cores,and the peak age of 142 Ma for granite is interpreted as the emplacement age of the Yunmengshan granitic pluton,whose igneous zircons contain inherited zircon cores.The data presented here show that there were two pulses of magmatism:early diorites,followed c13 Ma later by true granites,which incorporated material from an older continental crust. | SHI Yuruo ZHAO Xitao MA Yinsheng HU Daogong LIU Qisheng WU Zhenhan ZHAO Yuanyi LIU Dunyi | 2009 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,2: | 17 |
| 2 | Late Quaternary normal faulting and its kinematic mechanism of eastern piedmont fault of the Haba-Yulong Snow Mountains in northwestern Yunnan, China显示文摘The regional geologic and geomorphic observations show that an active arcuate normal fault constitutes the main boundary fault of the Haba-Yulong Snow Mountains (HYSM). This fault is called eastern piedmont fault of Haba-Yulong Snow Mountains (HYPF). The fault consists of two segments with differential trend; the northern segment is NW-trending and NE-dipping and the southern section is S-N trending and E-dipping. Three sets of fault scarps cutting late Quaternary landforms and their dating results indicate that the fault is a prominent Holocene active fault and its throw rates are 0.3―1.4 mm/a during late Quaternary. | 3 | Middle-Late Pleistocene Glacial Lakes in the Grand Canyon of the Tsangpo River,Tibet显示文摘Many moraines formed between Daduka and Chibai in the Tsangpo River valley since Middle Pleistocene.A prominent set of lacustrine and alluvial terraces on the valley margin along both the Tsangpo and Nyang Rivers formed during Quaternary glacial epoch demonstrate lakes were created by damming of the river.Research was conducted on the geological environment,contained sediments,spatial distribution,timing,and formation and destruction of these paleolakes.The lacustrine sediments 14C(10537±268 aBP at Linzhi Brick and Tile Factory,22510±580 aBP and 13925±204 aBP at Bengga,21096±1466 aBP at Yusong) and a series of ESR(electron spin resonance) ages at Linzhi town and previous data by other experts,paleolakes persisted for 691~505 kaBP middle Pleistocene ice age,75-40 kaBP the early stage of last glacier,27-8 kaBP Last Glacier Maximum(LGM),existence time of lakes gradually shorten represents glacial scale and dam moraine supply potential gradually cut down,paleolakes and dam scale also gradually diminished.This article calculated the average lacustrine sedimentary rate of Gega paleolake in LGM was 12.5 mm/a,demonstrates Mount Namjagbarwa uplifted strongly at the same time,the sedimentary rate of Gega paleolake is more larger than that of enclosed lakes of plateau inland shows the climatic variation of Mount Namjagbarwa is more larger and plateau margin uplifted more quicker than plateau inland.This article analyzed formation and decay cause about the Zelunglung glacier on the west flank of Mount Namjagbarwa got into the Tsangpo River valley and blocked it for tectonic and climatic factors.There is a site of blocking the valley from Gega to Chibai.This article according to moraines and lacustrine sediments yielded paleolakes scale:the lowest lake base altitude 2850 m,the highest lake surface altitude 3585 m,3240 m and 3180 m,area 2885 km2,820 km2 and 810 km2,lake maximum depth of 735 m,390 m and 330 m.We disclose the reason that previous experts discovered there were different age moraines dividing line of altitude 3180 m at the entrance of the Tsangpo Grand Canyon is dammed lake erosive decay under altitude 3180 m moraines in the last glacier era covering moraines in the early ice age of late Pleistocene,top 3180 m in the last glacier moraine remained because ancient dammed lakes didn't erode it under 3180 m moraines in the early ice age of late Pleistocene exposed.The reason of the top elevation 3585 m moraines in the middle Pleistocene ice age likes that of altitude 3180 m.There were three times dammed lakes by glacier blocking the Tsangpo River during Quaternary glacial period.During other glacial and interglacial period the Zelunglung glacier often extended the valley but moraine supplemental speed of the dam was smaller than that of fluvial erosion and moraine movement,dam quickly disappeared and didn't form stable lake. | ZHU Song WU Zhenhan ZHAO Xitao LI Jianping WANG Hua | 2012 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1: | 8 |

| 5 | Early Neoarchean Magmatic and Paleoproterozoic Metamorphic Events in the Northern North China Craton:SHRIMP Zircon Dating and Hf Isotopes of Archean Rocks from the Miyun Area,Beijing显示文摘The Miyun area of Beijing is located in the northern part of the North China Craton(NCC)and includes a variety of Archean granitoids and metamorphic rocks.Magmatic domains in zircon from a tonalite reveal Early Neoarchean(2752±7 Ma) ages show a small range in ε_(Hf)(t) from 3.1 to 7.4and t_(DM1)(Hf) from 2742 to 2823 Ma,similar to their U-Pb ages,indicating derivation from a depleted mantle source only a short time prior to crystallization.SHRIMP zircon ages of granite,gneiss,amphibolite and hornblendite in the Miyun area reveal restricted emplacement ages from 2594 to2496 Ma.They also record metamorphic events at ca.2.50 Ga,2.44 Ga and 1.82 Ga,showing a similar evolutionary history to the widely distributed Late Neoarchean rocks in the NCC.Positive ε_(Hf)(t) values of 1.5 to 5.9,with model ages younger than 3.0 Ga for magmatic zircon domains from these Late Neoarchean intrusive rocks indicate that they are predominantly derived from juvenile crustal sources and suggest that significant crustal growth occurred in the northern NCC during the Neoarchean.Late Paleoproterozoic metamorphism developed widely in the NCC,not only in the Trans-North China Orogen,but also in areas of Eastern and Western Blocks,which suggest that the late Paleoproterozoic was the assembly of different micro-continents,which resulted in the final consolidation to form the NCC,and related to the development of the Paleo-Mesoproterozoic Columbia or Nuna supercontinent. | SHI Yuruo ZHAO Xitao | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,3: | 6 |
| 6 | A tropical paleosol at high elevation in the Yulong Mountains and its implication on the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘A paleosol dated for about 500-700 kaBP and developed on a glacial deposit at -3 000 in a.s.l. in the Yulong Mountains is studied using soil chemical, morphological and mineralogical methods. The analytical results indicate that this soil was formed under tropical and humid conditions and can be classified as red soil, which cannot be formed in the present alpine environment at the studied site. This implies that the southeast margin of the Tibetan Plateau has experienced intense uplift since the formation of the paleosol. | 8 | Microwave assisted wet oxidation of p-nitrophenol显示文摘Aqueous solution of p-nitrophenol (PNP) was treated continuously by microwave assisted wet oxidation while flowing through a granular activated carbon (GAC) fixed bed. PNP was pre-adsorbed onto GAC prior to being put into the reactor so as to prevent PNP adsorption on GAC during microwave irradiation. PNP solutions with different initial concentration (218.6 mg/L and 1200 mg/L) were treated under conditions of microwave power 500 W, liquid flow 6.4 mL/min and air flow 40 mL/min or 60 mL/min. The results indicated that the removal of PNP was higher than 90% and more than 65% PNP was mineralized. Phenol, nitrobenzene, hydroquinone and benzoquinone occurred as course products during the operation process, which were degraded further. | 10 | The Quaternary Pan-lake (Overflow) Period and Paleoclimate on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Lake geomorphology and high-level lacustrine deposits since the mid-late Pleistocene are well preserved in lakes of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. According to geological surveys of 17 lake districts in different locations of the plateau,combined with interpretations of satellite images and topographic maps, the authors studied the timing of formation and scopes of the pan-lake areas of the plateau and their paleoclimate. The latest two high lake levels (overflow surfaces) on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the Quaternary occurred at ~40 to 30/35 ka and ~65 to 53 ka respectively. In these time intervals, the plateau was covered by huge interconnected pan-lake systems with a total area of ~36 km2 and a total volume of lake water of >530 million km2, which are about 38 times and 659 times larger than those of the modem lakes respectively. Before this pan-lake period in the late Pleistocene, there had been three high lake levels that occurred at ~132-112 ka, 110-95 ka and 91-72/~83-75 ka respectively, suggesting that the late Quaternary climate on the plateau was unstable and changed rapidly. The ~40-30 ka high lake level also appeared in the Tengger desert north of the plateau,suggesting that there existed very strong summer monsoons from South Asia then; the variation in solar radiation with a 20,000 precessional period has special importance for the high-altitude Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the low-latitude zone of the Earth. Around 30 ka, the pan-lakes at the peripheries of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau drained out suddenly with rapid uplift of the plateau and cooling. In a short time the huge amount of cold lake water emptied into the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific.
