1Parameter estimation of GTD model and RCS extrapolation based on a modified 3D-ESPRIT algorithm显示文摘The noise robustness and parameter estimation performance of the classical three-dimensional estimating signal parameter via rotational invariance techniques(3D-ESPRIT)algorithm are poor when the parameters of the geometric theory of the diffraction(GTD)model are estimated at low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).To solve this problem,a modified 3D-ESPRIT algorithm is proposed.The modified algorithm improves the parameter estimation accuracy by proposing a novel spatial smoothing technique.Firstly,we make cross-correlation of the auto-correlation matrices;then by averaging the cross-correlation matrices of the forward and backward spatial smoothing,we can obtain a novel equivalent spatial smoothing matrix.The formula of the modified algorithm is derived and the performance of this improved method is also analyzed.Then we compare root-meansquare-errors(RMSEs)of different parameters and the locating accuracy obtained by different algorithms.Furthermore,radar cross section(RCS)of radar targets is extrapolated.Simulation results verify the effectiveness and superiority of the modified 3DESPRIT algorithm.ZHENG Shuyu ZHANG Xiaokuan ZHAO Weichen ZHOU Jianxiong ZONG Binfeng XU Jiahua 2020Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,6:2
2Changes in chemical composition,structural and functional microbiome during alfalfa(Medicago sativa)ensilage with Lactobacillus plantarum PS-8显示文摘Improving silage production by adding exogenous microorganisms not only maximizes nutrient preservation,but also extends product shelf life.Herein,changes in the quality and quantity of Lactobacillus plantarum PS-8(PS-8)-inoculated alfalfa(Medicago sativa)during silage fermentation were monitored at d 0,7,14,and 28(inoculum dose of PS-8 was 1105 colony forming units[cfu]/g fresh weight;50 kg per bag;10 bags for each time point)by reconstructing metagenomic-assembled genomes(MAG)and Growth Rate InDex(GRiD).Our results showed that the exogenous starter bacterium,PS-8 inoculation,became the most dominating strain by d 7,and possibly played a highly active role throughout the fermentation process.The pH value of the silage decreased greatly,accompanied by the growth of acidproducing microorganisms namely PS-8,which inhibited the growth of harmful microorganisms like molds(4.18 vs.1.42 log cfu/g)and coliforms(4.95 vs.0.66 log most probable number[MPN]/g).The content of neutral detergent fiber(NDF)decreased significantly(41.6%vs.37.6%;dry matter basis).In addition,the abundance and diversity of genes coding microbial carbohydrate-active enzymes(CAZymes)increased significantly and desirably throughout the fermentation,particularly the genes responsible for degrading starch,arabino-xylan,and cellulose.Overall,our results showed that PS-8 was replicating rapidly and consistently during early-and mid-fermentation phases,promoting the growth of beneficial lactic acid bacteria and inhibiting undesirable microbes,ultimately improving the quality of silage.Lijun You Weichen Bao Caiqing Yao Feiyan Zhao Hao Jin Weiqiang Huang Bohai Li Lai-Yu Kwok Wenjun Liu 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,2:2
3Corrosion behavior of Q235B carbon steel in simulated seawater pumped storage system under operational conditions显示文摘Seawater pumped storage systems have bright prospect for energy storage in the coming years.The operational conditions of seawater pumped storage system are complex and harsh,where metal materials suff er from severe general and local corrosion.The corrosion behavior of Q235B carbon steel in simulated seawater pumped storage system under operational conditions was studied by potentiodynamic polarization,cyclic potentiodynamic polarization,and scanning electron microscope(SEM).The results confi rm that the working pressure aff ected the corrosion resistance of Q235B carbon steel during the whole immersion period.The pressure promoted the electrochemical reaction of corrosion process and the corrosion rate increased with pressure at the initial immersion period.However,the stable rust layer formed after longtime immersion at diff erent pressures increased the corrosion resistance of carbon steel,and decreased the corrosion degree of carbon steel.Meanwhile,the working pressure aff ected the pitting corrosion behavior of Q235B carbon steel during the whole immersion period.The pitting corrosion potential was more negative and the tendency of pitting corrosion was higher at 4 MPa during the whole immersion period.However,pressure also accelerated the formation rate of protective rust layer on the steel surface.Q235B carbon steel has higher susceptibility to pitting corrosion at 4 MPa in the static seawater.YANG Dan HUANG Yanliang LI Jianqiu GAO Yanming ZHAO Xia XU Weichen 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,5:2

5The effect of public health awareness and behaviors on the transmission dynamics of syphilis in Northwest China, 2006-2018, based on a multiple-stages mathematical model显示文摘Syphilis,a sexually transmitted infectious disease caused by the bacterium treponema pallidum,has re-emerged as a global public health issue with an estimated 12 million people infected each year.Understanding the impacts of health awareness and behaviors on transmission dynamics of syphilis can help to establish optimal control strategy in different regions.In this paper,we develop a multiple-stage SIRS epidemic model taking into account the public health awareness and behaviors of syphilis.First,the basic reproduction number R_(0) is obtained,which determines the global dynamics behaviors of the model.We derive the necessary conditions for implementing optimal control and the corresponding optimal solution for mitigation syphilis by using Pontryagin's Maximum Principle.Based on the data of syphilis in Ningxia from 2006 to 2018,the parameterizations and model calibration are carried out.The fitting results are in good agreement with the data.Moreover,sensitivity analysis shows that the public awareness induced protective behaviors C_(e),compliance of condom-induced preventabilityεand treatment for the primary syphilis m1 play an important role in mitigating the risk of syphilis outbreaks.These results can help us gain insights into the epidemiology of syphilis and provide guidance for the public health authorities to implement health education programs.Wenjun Jing Ning Ma Weichen Liu Yu Zhao 2021Infectious Disease Modelling2021,6,1:1
6China's policy framework for carbon capture,utilization and storage:Review,analysis,and outlook显示文摘Carbon capture,utilization,and storage(CCUS)is estimated to contribute substantial CO_(2)emission reduction to carbon neutrality in China.There is yet a large gap between such enormous demand and the current capacity,and thus a sound enabling environment with sufficient policy support is imperative for CCUS development.This study reviewed 59 CCUS-related policy documents issued by the Chinese government as of July 2022,and found that a supporting policy framework for CCUS is taking embryonic form in China.More than ten departments of the central government have involved CCUS in their policies,of which the State Council,the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC),the Ministry of Science and Technology(MOST),and the Ministry of Ecological Environment(MEE)have given the greatest attention with different focuses.Specific policy terms are further analyzed following the method of content analysis and categorized into supply-,environment-and demand-type policies.The results indicate that supply-type policies are unbalanced in policy objectives,as policy terms on technology research and demonstration greatly outnumber those on other objectives,and the attention to weak links and industrial sectors is far from sufficient.Environment-type policies,especially legislations,standards,and incentives,are inadequate in pertinence and operability.Demand-type policies are absent in the current policy system but is essential to drive the demand for the CCUS technology in domestic and foreign markets.To meet the reduction demand of China's carbon neutral goal,policies need to be tailored according to needs of each specific technology and implemented in an orderly manner with well-balanced use on multiple objectives.Qiao MA Shan WANG Yan FU Wenlong ZHOU Mingwei SHI Xueting PENG Haodong LV Weichen ZHAO Xian ZHANG 2023Frontiers in Energy2023,17,3:1
7A well-supported nuclear phylogeny of Poaceae and implications for the evolution of C4 photosynthesis显示文摘Poaceae(the grasses)includes rice,maize,wheat,and other crops,and is the most economically important angiosperm family.Poaceae is also one of the largest plant families,consisting of over 11000 species with a global distribution that contributes to diverse ecosystems.Poaceae species are classified into 12 subfamilies,with generally strong phylogenetic support for their monophyly.However,many relationships within subfamilies,among tribes and/or subtribes,remain uncertain.To better resolve the Poaceae phylogeny,we generated 342 transcriptomic and seven genomic datasets;these were combined with other genomic and transcriptomic datasets to provide sequences for 357 Poaceae species in 231 genera,representing 45 tribes and all 12 subfamilies.Over 1200 low-copy nuclear genes were retrieved from these datasets,with several subsets obtained using additional criteria,and used for coalescent analyses to reconstruct a Poaceae phylogeny.Our results strongly support the monophyly of 11 subfamilies;however,the subfamily Puelioideae was separated into two non-sister clades,one for each of the two previously defined tribes,supporting a hypothesis that places each tribe in a separate subfamily.Molecular clock analyses estimated the crown age of Poaceae to be101 million years old.Ancestral character reconstruction of C3/C4 photosynthesis supports the hypothesis of multiple independent origins of C4 photosynthesis.These origins are further supported by phylogenetic analysis of the ppc gene family that encodes the phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase,which suggests that members of three paralogous subclades(ppc-aL1a,ppc-aL1b,and ppcB2)were recruited as functional C4 ppc genes.This study provides valuable resources and a robust phylogenetic framework for evolutionary analyses of the grass family.Weichen Huang Lin Zhang JTravis Columbus Yi Hu Yiyong Zhao Lin Tang Zhenhua Guo Wenli Chen Michael McKain Madelaine Bartlett Chien-Hsun Huang De-Zhu Li Song Ge Hong Ma 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,4:0

10Cryogenian and Ediacaran integrative stratigraphy,biotas,and paleogeographical evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas显示文摘The complex evolutionary history of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas,including the continental blocks(Indian,Lhasa,South Qiangtang,Tarim,Olongbuluk,Central Qilian,Alxa,North China,Yangtze,Central Iran and Oman)and the orogenic belts between them,has long been the frontier in Earth science research.The Cryogenian and Ediacaran strata are extensively distributed in these blocks.Specifically,relatively complete Cryogenian and Ediacaran successions have been discovered in Oman,Indian,Yangtze,and Tarim blocks,while only the Ediacaran successions have been reported in Iran,the South Qiangtang,Central Qilian,Alxa,and North China blocks.Based on previous studies together with the integration of new materials and advancement obtained through the Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research,this review aims to synthesize a correlative stratigraphic framework of the representative Cryogenian and Ediacaran sequences from the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas.Furthermore,the Cryogenian and Ediacaran biotas and major geological events in these areas are comprehensively discussed in aspects of current research status.The results indicate that,in general,Ediacaran fossils of each area exhibit distinct features in preservation and assemblage composition,but the typical late Ediacaran fossils Cloudina and Shaanxilithes have been reported from most of these areas.In addition to the two global Cryogenian glaciations,late Ediacaran glaciogenic deposits are extensively recorded in the areas within and around the northern QinghaiTibetan Plateau(including the North China,Alxa,Central Qilian,Olongbuluk,and Tarim blocks,and the North Qilian Accretionary Belt),as well as central and southern Iran.However,further research is required to determine the age,distribution,and origin of these late Ediacaran glaciogenic deposits.Meanwhile,the middle Ediacaran DOUNCE/Shuram Excursion is widely documented in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas.The available data show that,after the break-up of the Rodinia supercontinent,most of the continental blocks in the areas were located along the northern margin of East Gondwana and a few(such as North China)were located between the Gondwana and Laurentia.In general,the paleogeographic evolution of most of these blocks during the Cryogenian and Ediacaran remains disputatious,necessitating further research to resolve the controversies surrounding their paleogeographic reconstruction models during this critical time interval.Lang SUN Malik Muhammad Saud Sajid KHAN Chuan YANG Zhixin SUN Bing PAN Shehryar AHMED Lanyun MIAO Weichen SUN Chunlin HU Xiaojuan SUN Cui LUO Bo CHEN Zongjun YIN Fangchen ZHAO Guoxiang LI Maoyan ZHU 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,4:0
