Adaptive filtering for deformation parameter estimation in consideration of geometrical measurements and geophysical models显示文摘There are two kinds of methods in researching the crust deformation: geophysical method and geometrical (or observational) method. Considerable differences usually exist between the two kinds of results, because of the datum differences, geophysical model errors, observational model errors, and so on. Thus, it is reasonable to combine the two kinds of information to collect the crust deformation information. To use the reliable geometrical and geophysical information, we have to control the observational and geophysical model error influences on the estimated deformation parameters, and to balance their contributions to the evaluated parameters. A hybrid estimation strategy is proposed here for evaluating the deformation parameters employing an adaptively robust filtering. The effects of measurement outliers on the estimated parameters are controlled by robust equivalent weights. Adaptive factors are introduced to balance the contribution of the geophysical model information and the geometrical measurements to the model parameters. The datum for the local deformation analysis is mainly determined by the highly accurate IGS station velocities. The hybrid estimation strategy is applied in an actual GPS monitoring network. It is shown that the hybrid technique employs locally repeated geometrical displacements to reduce the displacement errors caused by the mis-modeling of geophysical technique, and thus improves the precision of the estimated crust deformation parameters.YuanXi Yang AnMin Zeng 2009Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,8:14
Seafloor geodetic network establishment and key technologies显示文摘Seafloor geodetic network construction involves the development of geodetic station shelter, network configuration design, location selection and layout, surveying strategy, observation model establishment and optimization, data processing strategy and so on. This paper tries to present main technological problems involved in the seafloor geodetic network construction, and seek the technically feasible solutions. Basic conceptions of developing seafloor geodetic station shelters for shallow sea and deep-sea are described respectively. The overall criteria of seafloor geodetic network construction for submarine navigation and those of network design for crustal motion monitoring are both proposed. In order to enhance application performances of the seafloor geodetic network, the seafloor network configuration should prefer a symmetrical network structure. The sea surface tracking line measurements for determining the seafloor geodetic station position should also adopt an approximately symmetrical configuration, and we recommend circle tracking line observations combined with cross-shaped line(or double cross-shape line) observations for the seafloor positioning mode. As to the offset correction between the Global Navigation Satellite System antenna phase center and the acoustic transducer, it is recommended to combine the calibration through external measurements and model parameter estimation. Besides, it is suggested to correct the sound speed error with a combination of observation value correction and parameterized model correction, and to mainly use the model correction to reduce the influence of acoustic ray error on the seafloor positioning. Following the proposed basic designs, experiments are performed in shallow sea area and deep-sea area respectively. Based on the developed seafloor geodetic shelter and sufficient verification in the shallow sea experiment, a long-term seafloor geodetic station in the deep-sea area of 3000 m depth was established for the first time, and the preliminary positioning result shows that the internal precision of this station is better than 5 cm.Yuanxi YANG Yanxiong LIU Dajun SUN Tianhe XU Shuqiang XUE Yunfeng HAN Anmin ZENG 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,8:11
Analysis of seasonal signals and long-term trends in the height time series of IGS sites in China显示文摘The seasonal signal and long-term trend in the height time series of 10 IGS sites in China are investigated in this paper. The offset detection and outlier removal as well as the removal of common mode error are performed on the raw GPS time-series data developed by the Scripps Orbit and Permanent Array Center(SOPAC). The seasonal-trend decomposition procedure based on LOESS(STL) is utilized to extract precise seasonal signals, followed by an estimation of the long-term trend with the application of maximum likelihood estimation(MLE) to the seasonally adjusted time series. The Up-compo- nents of all sites are featured by obvious seasonal variations, with significant phase and amplitude modulation on some sites. After Kendall's tau test, a significant trend(99% confidence interval) for all sites is achieved. Furthermore, the trends at sites TCMS and TNML have significant changes at epochs 2009.5384 and 2009.1493(95% confidence interval), respectively, using the Breaks For Additive Seasonal and Trend test. Finally, the velocities and their uncertainties for all sites are estimated using MLE with the white noise plus flicker noise model. And the results are analyzed and compared with those announced by SOPAC. The results obtained in this paper have a higher precision than the SOPAC results.MING Feng YANG YuanXi ZENG AnMin JING YiFan 2016Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,6:11
Horizontal crustal movement in China fitted by adaptive collocation with embedded Euler vector显示文摘The crustal movements of the Chinese mainland include an average regional movement trend of the mainland and complex local deformations. Thus, both trends in the crustal movement of the mainland and local distortions should be simultaneously taken into consideration in crustal movement estimations. A combined collocation model based on Euler vector (taken as trend parameters) and local distortions (taken as signals) is proposed in this paper. We assume that prior covariance matrices between signals and observations should be consistent with their uncertainties. Otherwise, the station movement estimates provided by the collocation will be distorted. Thus, an adaptive collocation estimator based on simplified Helmert variance components is applied. This means that the contributions of signals and observations to estimates of crustal movements are balanced and reasonable, and consistent covariance matrices of the signals and observations are achieved through the adjustment of the adaptive factor. The calculation of actual horizontal movements of the Chinese crust shows that the estimates of horizontal crustal movement velocities are made more accurate by the adaptive collocation model.YANG YuanXi ZENG AnMin WU FuMei 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,12:9

Semi-parametric Adjustment Model Methods for Positioning of Seafloor Control Point显示文摘This paper focus on solving the problem of seafloor control point absolute positioning with low vertical accuracy based on the survey ship sailing circle. The method of dealing with the systematic error based on a semi-parametric adjustment model was proposed. Firstly, the influence of sound velocity change on ranging error is analyzed. Secondly, a semi-parametric adjustment model for determining three-dimensional coordinates of seafloor control points was established. And respectively proposed solutions under two different conditions, the observation duration is an integral multiple or non-integer multiple of the long-period term of the ranging error. The simulation experiment shows that this method can obviously improve the accuracy of vertical solution of seafloor control point compared with the difference technique and the least-squares method when internal waves exist and observation duration is less than an integer multiple of the long-period term of the ranging error.Wenzhou SUN Xiaodong YIN Jingyang BAO Anmin ZENG 2020Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020,3,1:1
An operational radar current observing and data service platform in the East China Sea显示文摘An ocean state monitor and analysis radar(OSMAR), developed by Wuhan University in China, have been mounted at six stations along the coasts of East China Sea(ECS) to measure velocities(currents, waves and winds) at the sea surface. Radar-observed surface current is taken as an example to illustrate the operational high-frequency(HF) radar observing and data service platform(OP), presenting an operational flow from data observing, transmitting, processing, visualizing, to end-user service. Three layers(systems): radar observing system(ROS), data service system(DSS) and visualization service system(VSS), as well as the data flow within the platform are introduced. Surface velocities observed at stations are synthesized at the radar data receiving and preprocessing center of the ROS, and transmitted to the DSS, in which the data processing and quality control(QC) are conducted. Users are allowed to browse the processed data on the portal of the DSS, and access to those data files. The VSS aims to better show the data products by displaying the information on a visual globe. By utilizing the OP, the surface currents in East China Sea are monitored, and hourly and seasonal variabilities of them are investigated.DENG Zeng'an ZHANG Anmin ZHAI Jingsheng YU Ting WU Shuangquan ZHANG Xuefeng KANG Linchong ZHANG Yuming 2016Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,11:1
