| 1 | Horizontal crustal movement in China fitted by adaptive collocation with embedded Euler vector显示文摘The crustal movements of the Chinese mainland include an average regional movement trend of the mainland and complex local deformations. Thus, both trends in the crustal movement of the mainland and local distortions should be simultaneously taken into consideration in crustal movement estimations. A combined collocation model based on Euler vector (taken as trend parameters) and local distortions (taken as signals) is proposed in this paper. We assume that prior covariance matrices between signals and observations should be consistent with their uncertainties. Otherwise, the station movement estimates provided by the collocation will be distorted. Thus, an adaptive collocation estimator based on simplified Helmert variance components is applied. This means that the contributions of signals and observations to estimates of crustal movements are balanced and reasonable, and consistent covariance matrices of the signals and observations are achieved through the adjustment of the adaptive factor. | 4 | Mechanical properties of frozen rock mass with two diagonal intersected fractures显示文摘Based on previous research results, this paper investigated the influence of fracture morphology on mechanical properties and failure modes of rock mass with two diagonal intersected fractures. This study carried out a series of triaxial compression tests on rock-like specimens with two crossed fractures under negative temperature, concluded the following conclusions. The strength and failure modes of rock mass are significantly influenced by the dips of two crossed fractures. The strength of rock mass with two fractures cannot simply be estimated using the method that was developed for the rock mass with a single fracture. When the intersecting angle is less than 30°, the failure plane initiates at the tip of ‘‘artificial ruptures' and extends to the upper and lower ends of the specimen. In case of a higher dip and intersecting angle ranging from 30° to 60°, the failure plane propagates along one of these two fractures. The mechanical parameters of rock mass are not only related to the trace length, but also depend on the trace length ratio. One could roughly calculate the strength parameters using the approximation proposed in this paper. For the rock mass with a trace length ratio <0.3(short trace length/long trace length), the failure mode is dependent on the fracture with a longer trace length. When the trace length becomes significant and the trace length ratio approximates to 1, the failure plane propagates along two fractures, where an X-shaped failure pattern is presented. For the rock mass with moderate fractures and a trace length ratio of approximately 1, the failure mode is independent on fractures, which is similar to the damage pattern of intact rock. The strength and elastic modulus of rock mass decrease with the increase of spacing between fractures, while Poisson's ratio is independent on the spacing. The failure mode can be determined by the area of triangle created by two fractures. | 5 | Synthesis and enhanced piezoelectric response of CVD-grown SnSe layered nanosheets for flexible nanogenerators显示文摘Piezoelectricity is the electric charge which accumulates in certain materials in response to mechanical stimuli,while piezoelectric nanogenerators(PENGs)converting mechanical energy into electricity can be widely used for energy harvesting and self-powered systems.The group IV-VI monochalcogenides may exhibit strong piezoelectricity because of their puckered C_(2v)symmetry and electronic structure,making them promising for flexible PENG.Herein,we investigated the synthesis and piezoelectric properties of multilayer SnSe nanosheets grown by chemical vapor deposition(CVD).The SnSe nanosheets exhibited high single-crystallinity,large area,and good stability.The strong layer-dependent in-plane piezoelectric coefficient of SnSe nanosheets showed a saturated trend to be~110 pm/V,which overcomes the weak piezoelectric response or odd-even effects in other layered nanosheets.A high energy conversion efficiency of 9.3%and a maximum power density of 538 mW/cm^(2)at 1.03%strain have been demonstrated in a SnSe-based PENG.Based on the enhanced piezoelectricity of SnSe and attractive output performance of the nanogenerator,a self-powered sensor for human motion monitoring is further developed.These results demonstrate the strong piezoelectricity in high quality CVD-grown SnSe nanosheets,allowing for application in flexible smart piezoelectric sensors and advanced microelectromechanical devices. | Fumei Yang Man-Chung Wong Jianfeng Mao Zehan Wu Jianhua Hao | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,9: | 0 |
| 6 | Effects of Inoculation with Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria on the Physiology,Biochemistry,and Expression of Genes Related to the Protective Enzyme System of Fritillaria taipaiensis P.Y.Li显示文摘Fritillaria taipaiensis P.Y.Li is a widely used medicinal herb in treating pulmonary diseases.In recent years,its wild resources have become scarce,and the demand for efficient artificial cultivation has significantly increased.This article is the first to apply phosphate solubilizing bacteria isolated from the rhizosphere soil of F.taipaiensis P.Y.Li to the cultivation process of F.taipaiensis P.Y.Li.The aim is to identify suitable reference strains for the artificial cultivation and industrial development of F.taipaiensis P.Y.Li by examining the effects of various phosphate solubilizing bacteria and their combinations on photosynthesis,physiological and biochemical properties,and gene expression related to the protective enzyme system in F.taipaiensis P.Y.Li.The experiment,conducted in pots at room temperature,included a control group(CK)and groups inoculated with inorganic phosphorussolubilizing bacteria:W1(Bacillus cereus),W2(Serratia plymuthica),W12(Bacillus cereus and Serratia plymuthica),and groups inoculated with organophosphorus-solubilizing bacteria:Y1(Bacillus cereus),Y2(Bacillus cereus),Y12(Bacillus cereus and Bacillus cereus),totaling seven groups.Compared to CK,most growth indices in the bacterial addition groups showed significant differences,with W12 achieving the highest values in all indices except the leaf area index.The content of photosynthetic pigments,photosynthetic parameters,and osmoregulatory substances increased variably in each bacterial treatment group.W12 exhibited the highest content of chlorophyll a and soluble protein,while W1 had the highest free proline content.The activities of peroxidase(POD),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT)in all inoculated groups were higher than in CK,with significant changes in SOD and CAT activities.The malondialdehyde(MDA)content in all inoculated groups was lower than in CK,with Y12 being the lowest,at approximately 30%of CK.Gene expression corresponding to these three enzymes also increased variably,with POD expression in Y2 being the highest at 2.73 times that of CK.SOD and CAT expression in Y12 were the highest,at 1.84 and 4.39 times that of CK,respectively.These results indicate that inoculating phosphate solubilizing bacteria can enhance the growth of F.taipaiensis P.Y.Li,with the mixed inoculation groups W12 and Y12 demonstrating superior effects.This lays a theoretical foundation for selecting bacterial fertilizers in the cultivation process of F.taipaiensis P.Y.Li. | Zhifen Shi Fumei Pan Xiaotian Kong Jiaqi Lang Mingyan Ye Qian Wu Guangzhi Wang Liang Han Nong Zhou | 2024 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2024,93,2: | 0 |
