Stagnation-point flow of couple stress fluid with melting heat transfer显示文摘Melting heat transfer in the boundary layer flow of a couple stress fluid over a stretching surface is investigated. The developed differential equations are solved for homotopic solutions. It is observed that the velocity and the boundary layer thickness are decreasing functions of the couple stress fluid parameter. However, the temperature and surface heat transfer increase when the values of the couple stress fluid parameter increase. The velocity and temperature fields increase with an increase in the melting process of the stretching sheet. | T.HAYAT M.MUSTAFA Z.IQBAL A.ALSAEDI | 2013 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2013,34,2: | 3
Unique Outcomes of Internal Heat Generation and Thermal Deposition on Viscous Dissipative Transport of Viscoplastic Fluid over a Riga-Plate显示文摘Boundary layer stagnation point flow of Casson fluid over a Riga plate of variable thickness is investigated in present article. Riga plate is an electromagnetic actuator consists of enduring magnets and gyrated aligned array of alternating electrodes mounted on a plane surface. Physical problem is modeled and simplified under appropriate transformations. Effects of thermal radiation and viscous dissipation are incorporated. These differential equations are solved by Keller Box Scheme using MATLAB. Comparison is given with shooting techniques along with RangeKutta Fehlberg method of order 5. Graphical and tabulated analysis is drawn. The results reveal that Eckert number, radiation and fluid parameters enhance temperature whereas they contribute in lowering rate of heat transfer. The numerical outcomes of present analysis depicts that Keller Box Method is capable and consistent to solve proposed nonlinear problem with high accuracy. | Z.Iqbal Ehtsham Azhar Zaffar Mehmood E.N.Maraj | 2018 | Communications in Theoretical Physics2018,69,1: | 1

Numerical Investigation of Micropolar Casson Fluid over a Stretching Sheet with Internal Heating显示文摘This theoretical study investigates the microrotation effects on mixed convection flow induced by a stretching sheet. Casson fluid model along with microrotation is considered to model the governing flow problem. The system is assumed to undergo internal heating phenomenon. The governing physical problem is transformed into system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using scaling group of transformations. These equations are solved numerically using Runge Kutta Fehlberg scheme coupled with shooting technique. Influence of sundry parameters for the case of strong and weak concentration of microelements on velocity, temperature, skin friction and local heat flux at the surface are computed and discussed. Lower skin friction and heat flux is observed for the case of weak concentration(n = 0.5)compared to strong concentration of microelements(n = 0.0) near the wall. | Zaffar Mehmood R.Mehmood Z.Iqbal | 2017 | Communications in Theoretical Physics2017,67,4: | 0
Linear Analysis of Obliquely Propagating Longitudinal Waves in Partially Spin Polarized Degenerate Magnetized Plasma显示文摘Linear analysis of low frequency obliquely propagating electrostatic waves in a partially spin polarized degenerate magnetized plasma is presented. Using Fourier analysis, a general linear dispersion relation is derived for low frequency electrostatic lower hybrid(LH) wave, ion acoustic(IA) wave and ion cyclotron(IC) wave in the presence of electron spin polarization. It is found that the electron spin polarization gives birth to a new spin-dependent wave(spin electron acoustic wave) in the spectrum of these waves. Further, the electron spin polarization also causes drastic shifts in the frequency spectrum of these waves. These effects would have a strong bearing on wave phenomena in degenerate astrophysical plasmas. | Z.Iqbal G.Murtaza A.Hussain | 2017 | Communications in Theoretical Physics2017,67,12: | 0

| R.Z.Abbas D.D.Colwell Z.Iqbal A.Khan 刘红(校对) | 2024 | 养禽与禽病防治2024,,2: | 0
A Numerical Investigation of Nanocomposite of Copper and Titanium Dioxide in Water Based Fluid Influenced by Instigated Magnetic Region显示文摘Presence of external electrical field plays a vital role in heat transfer and fluid flow phenomena. Keeping this in view present article is a numerical investigation of stagnation point flow of water based nanoparticles suspended fluid under the influence of induced magnetic field. A detailed comparative analysis has been performed by considering Copper and Titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Utilization of similarity analysis leads to a simplified system of coupled nonlinear differential equations, which has been tackled numerically by means of shooting technique followed by Runge-Kutta of order 5. The solutions are computed correct up to 6 decimal places. Influence of pertinent parameters is examined for fluid flow, induced magnetic field, and temperature profile. One of the key findings includes that magnetic parameter plays a vital role in directing fluid flow and lowering temperature profile. Moreover, it is concluded that Cu-water based nanofluid high thermal conductivity contributes in enhancing heat transfer efficiently. | Z.Iqbal Ehtsham Azhar E.N.Maraj Zaffar Mehmood | 2018 | Communications in Theoretical Physics2018,69,8: | 0
Catalytic upgrading of bio-oil from halophyte seeds into transportation fuels显示文摘Because of socioeconomic considerations,wide-scale production of biofuel necessitates the utilization of nonedible biomass feedstock that does not compete for land and fresh water resources. In this regard,Salicornia bigelovii(SB)is the most investigated halophyte species. The high oil content in SB seeds has sparked mounting research that aims to utilize SB as an industrial crop in the production of bio-oil,particularly in coastal areas where these plants thrive. However, the oil extracted from the pyrolysis of raw SB seeds is largely dominated by oxygenated fatty acids, most notably 9,12-octadecadienoic acid and 9,17-octadecadienal,typical to that of other crops. The pyrolysate bio-oil of the raw SB seeds exhibited a relative yield of oxygenated compounds that decreased from 57.05%at 200℃to 9.81%at 500℃,and the relative yield of nitrogenated compounds increased from 4.86%at 200℃to 21.97%at 500℃.To improve the quality of the produced bio-oil,herein we investigated the catalytic hydrodeoxygenation(HDO)of the fragments that were produced from the thermal degradation of SB seeds.A 5%Ni–CeO_(2)catalyst was prepared and characterized by a wide array of methods X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, temperature programmed reduction, scanning electron microscope,BrunauerEmmett-Teller analysis, and thermogravimetric analyzer. The catalytic run was executed between 200 and 500℃in a flow reactor. The deployed catalytic methodology displayed a profound HDO capacity. At 400℃,for instance, the gas chromatography mass spectroscopy(GC–MS)detected loads of paraffin and aromatic compounds exists at appreciable values of 48.0%and 28.5%,respectively.With a total relative yield of 43.2%(at 400℃),C8–C15 species(i.e.,jet fuel fractions)were the most abundant species in the upgraded SB bio-oil.The release of H_(2),CO,CO_(2),and CH_(4)was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using gas chromatography thermal conductivity detector and Fourier infrared spectroscopic analysis. When the Ni–CeO_(2)catalyst was utilized,a complete deoxygenated bio-oil was obtained from SB seeds using the surface-assisted HDO reaction. On the basis of the elemental analysis, the biochar’s hydrogen and oxygen contents were found to decrease significantly.Density functional theory computations showed mechanisms for reactions that underpinned the experimentally observed hydrodeoxygenation process.Outcomes presented herein shall be instrumental toward the effective utilization of halophyte in the production of commercial transportation fuels. | Labeeb Ali Toyin Shittu Mohamed Shafi Kuttiyathil Ayesha Alam Muhammad Z.Iqbal Abbas Khaleel Kaushik Sivaramakrishnan Mohammednoor Altarawneh | 2023 | Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2023,8,4: | 0
Ordinary Mode Instability in a Cairns Distributed Electron Plasma显示文摘Employing the linearized Vlasov-Maxwell equations, a generalized dispersion relation for the ordinary mode is derived by employing the Cairns distribution function. The instability of the mode and its threshold condition is investigated. It is found that the temperature anisotropy χ = T_∥/T_⊥ > 1 required to excite the instability varies with density values whereas the growth rate is dependent on various parameters like non-thermality Λ, equilibrium number density n_0 and temperature anisotropy. It is found that with the increase in the values of any of the parameters Λ, n_0 and χ, the growth rate is enhanced and the k-domain is enlarged. The results are applicable for space plasma environments like solar wind. | K.Azra Z.Iqbal G.Murtaza | 2018 | Communications in Theoretical Physics2018,69,6: | 0
Electrochemical study of different membrane materials for the fabrication of stable, reproducible and reusable reference electrode显示文摘Fabrication of stable, reproducible and reusable reference electrodes for low energy and high-temperature steam splitting is of great interest for hydrogen fuel production without anthropogenic carbon dioxide(CO2)emission.This study has been conducted for the detection of suitable material for the fabrication of novel reference electrode. In the present scenario, this research is designed to fabricate a novel nickel reference electrode by using operating conditions of eutectic molten hydroxide(NaOH-KOH,49-51 mol%)at temperature 300℃in an ion-conducting membrane of alumina and mullite tube.Afterwards, the designed nickel reference electrode has been examined for its reusability and stability by using electrochemical technique and cyclic voltammetry.Five scans of cyclic voltammetry are performed for both membrane fabricated reference electrode.A slight positive shift in oxidation peaks is observed for mullite membrane electrode(64 mV from scan 1 to 5).The stability measurements are noted by changing the scan rate between 50 and 150 mV s−1.Furthermore,the results show that the Ni/Ni(OH)2 reference electrode covered with a mullite membrane is stable and reusable at 300℃temperature without any deterioration. The stability and reusability of prepared nickel reference electrode covered by mullite tube in the eutectic molten hydroxide were up to 9 days to carry out an electrochemical investigation, while for alumina tube reference electrode the stability and reliability were up to 3 days. The internal electrolytic material and ionic conductance can play an important role for future studies with this reference electrode along with optimisation of temperature and scan rate parameters. | Nawar K.Al-Shara Farooq Sher Sania Z.Iqbal Zaman Sajid George Z.Chen | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10: | 0
Elastic Deformation Analysis on MHD Viscous Dissipative Flow of Viscoelastic Fluid:An Exact Approach显示文摘This communication is devoted to analyze elastic deformation on electrically conducted viscoelastic fluid in the presence of viscous dissipation effects. Non-linear analysis is computed through exact solutions for velocity, temperature and concentration profiles. Special emphasis is provided for elastic deformation in the presence of magnetohydrodynamics effects. Concentration profile is discussed significantly in the presence constructive and destructive chemical reaction. Results are displayed through graphs and discussed for physical parameters that are used in present analysis. Notable findings include that temperature and thermal boundary layer thickness is an increasing function of Prandtl number and a decreasing function of elastic deformation. In addition, heat transfer rate is enhanced by increasing the conjugate parameter(γ) which measures the strength of surface heating. | Z.Iqbal,Zaffar Mehmood Bilal Ahmad | 2017 | Communications in Theoretical Physics2017,67,5: | 0
