| 1 | EXPERIMENTS AND SIMULATIONS OF A NEW DEVELOPED FORMING TECHNOLOGY-SHEAR-EXTRUSION PROCESS OF COMPONENTS WITH BRANCHES显示文摘Shear-extrusion process and its forming parumeters are proposed, whilst its laborsav- ing characteristic is utilized to forge large-size shutoff valve body on middle-due press. This new process is intended for the manufacture of large-size forged tubular components with branches on middle-due press. Experiments are carried out and processing parameters are obtained regarding the shear-extrusion process of a large-size shutoff valve body. Daformation and metal flow in the shear-extrusion process are inves- tigated. In orber to verify the laborsaving characteristic of this new process some contrastive experiments of extrusion force are performed between shear-extrusion and upsetting-extrusion for forming tubular components with branches. Based on rigid plastic FEM a plane-stain model is established to analyze shear-extrusion process of tubular components with branches. The analysis results by 2-dimensions PEM are comparatively quite well consistent with those of experiments. Both simulated and experimental results show that this new forming process is feasible for forging large-size tubular components with branches on middle-due press. | H.L. Yang, D.C. Kang, Z.L. | 2 | Dynamic responses of two buildings connected by viscoelastic dampers under bidirectional earthquake excitations显示文摘In this study, dynamic responses of two buildings connected by viscoelastic dampers under bidirectional excitations are extensively investigated. The two buildings are a 10-story building and a 16-story building, with the shorter building on the left.Viscoelastic dampers are installed at all fl oors of the shorter building.Equations of motion are formulated using a fractional derivative model to represent the viscoelastic dampers.Three cases are considered with mass eccentricities at 0,10% and-10% with respect to the dimensions of the buildings. The responses of the buildings are numerically predicted at different damper properties. The simulation results indicated that the maximum horizontal responses of the buildings without eccentricities are signifi cantly mitigated. However, torsional effects are adversely increased. For asymmetric buildings, the effectiveness of the connecting dampers is affected by building eccentricities. As a result, mass eccentricities must be taken into account in damper selection. When compared with vibrations induced by unidirectional excitations, bidirectional excitations can increase the responses of coupled asymmetric buildings. In addition, installing dampers only at the top fl oor of the shorter building may cause a sudden change in lateral stiffness of the taller building.Consequently, the story shear envelopes of the taller building are changed. | Z.D. | 3 | MLCROSTRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF C-Cu NANOSTRUCTURE THIN FILM显示文摘Nanostructured C-Cu thin films were deposited by reactive sputtering method and cosputtering method. The relationships between microstructures, properties, and deposition parameters were studied and the results obtained from TEM, AFM, and XPS. indicate that the thin films are nanostructural, and have good in-depth uniformity. The selected area electron diffraction (SAED) found that the nanosize Cu particles have the fcc structure and the others are amorphous carbon or nanocrystallized graphitic carbon. The peak positions of the Cu and C in XPS indicate them to be at the elemental state. In the JR transmission spectrum, diamond two-phonon absorption and graphite Reman peaks were observed, which suggests microcrystal diamond particles and graphite components exrist in the C-Cu film. The higher electrical resistivity was obtained. | Y.N. Sun, K.X. Zhang, X. Gao, D. Q. Yang, Z.D. Lin and Y. Guo Lauzhou Institute of Physics, P.O.
