| 1 | Cavitation shedding dynamics around a hydrofoil simulated using a filter-based density corrected model显示文摘The unsteady turbulent cloud cavitation around a NACA66 hydrofoil was simulated using the filter-based density corrected model(FBDCM). The cloud cavitation was treated as a homogeneous liquid-vapor mixture and the effects of turbulent eddy viscosity were reduced in cavitation regions near the hydrofoil and in the wake. The numerical results(in terms of the vapor shedding structure and transient pressure pulsation due to cavitation evolution) agree well with the available experimental data, showing the validity of the FBDCM method. Furthermore, the interaction of vortex and cavitation was analyzed based on the vorticity transport equation, revealing that the cavitation evolution has a strong connection with vortex dynamics. | 2 | Image formation of brain function in patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis treated with moxibustion显示文摘OBJECTIVES:Functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) technology was used to study changes to the resting state blood flow in the brains of patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA) before and after treatment with moxibustion at the acupoint of the left Dubi(ST 35) and to probe the cerebral mechanism underlying the effect of moxibustion.METHODS:The resting state brain function of 30 patients with left KOA was scanned with fMRI before and after treatment with moxibustion.The analytic methods of fractional amplitude of low frequency fluctuation(fALFF) and regional homogeneity(ReHo) were used to observe changes in resting state brain function.RESULTS:The fALFF values of the right cerebrum,extra-nucleus,left cerebellum,left cerebrum and white matter of patients after moxibustion treatment were higher than before treatment,and the fALFF values of the precentral gyrus,frontal lobe and occipital lobe were lower than before treatment(P<0.05,K≥85).The ReHo values of the thalamus,extra-nucleus and parietal lobe of patients were much higher than those before moxibustion treatment,and the ReHo values of the right cerebrum,left cerebrum and frontal lobe were lower than before treatment(P<0.05,K≥85).CONCLUSION:The influence of moxibustion on obvious changes in brain regions basically conforms to the way that pain and warmth is transmitted in the body,and the activation of sensitive systems in the body may be objective evidence of channel transmission.The regulation of brain function by moxibustion is not in a single brain region but rather in a network of many brain regions. | Hongwu Xie Fangming Xu Rixin Chen Tianyou Luo Mingren Chen Weidong Fang Fajin Lü Fei Wu Yune Song Jun Xiong | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2: | 7 |
| 3 | Review of Chinese atmospheric science research over the past 70 years: Synoptic meteorology显示文摘Synoptic meteorology is a branch of meteorology that uses synoptic weather observations and charts for the diagnosis,study,and forecasting of weather.Weather refers to the specific state of the atmosphere near the Earth’s surface during a short period of time.The spatial distribution of meteorological elements in the atmosphere can be represented by a variety of transient weather phenomena,which are caused by weather systems of different spatial and temporal scales.Weather is closely related to people’s life,and its development and evolution have always been the focus of atmospheric scientific research and operation.The development of synoptic meteorology is closely related to the development of observation systems,dynamical theories and numerical models.In China,observation networks have been built since the early 1950 s.Up to now,a comprehensive meteorological observation systembased on ground,air and space has been established.In particular,the development of a new generation of dense radar networks,the development of the Fengyun satellite series and the implementation of a series of large field experiments have brought our understanding of weather from large-scale environment to thermal dynamics,cloud microphysical structure and evolution characteristics of meso and micro-scale weather systems.The development of observation has also promoted the development of theory,numerical model and simulation.In the early days,China mainly used foreign numerical models.Lately,China has developed numerical model systems with independent intellectual property rights.Based on the results of high-resolution numerical simulations,in-depth understanding of the initiation and evolution mechanism and predictability of weather at different scales has been obtained.Synoptic meteorology has gradually changed from an initially independent development to a multidisciplinary approach,and the interaction between weather and the change of climate and environment has become a hot and frontier topic in atmospheric science.This paper reviews the important scientific and technological achievements made in China over the past 70 years in the fields of synoptic meteorology based on the literatures in China and abroad,from six aspects respectively including atmospheric dynamics,synoptic-scale weather,typhoon and tropical weather,severe convective weather,numerical weather prediction and data assimilation,weather and climate,atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment. | Zhiyong MENG Fuqing ZHANG Dehai LUO Zhemin TAN Juan FANG Jianhua SUN Xueshun SHEN Yunji ZHANG Shuguang WANG Wei HAN Kun ZHAO Lei ZHU Yongyun HU Huiwen XUE Yaping MA Lijuan ZHANG Ji NIE Ruilin ZHOU Sa LI Hongjun LIU Yuning ZHU | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12: | 7 |
| 4 | Single-/fused-band dual-mode mid-infrared imaging with colloidal quantum-dot triple-junctions显示文摘Image data acquired with fused multispectral information can be used for effective identification and navigation owing to additional information beyond human vision,including thermal distribution,night vision,and molecular composition.However,the construction of photodetectors with such capabilities is hindered by the structural complexity arising from the integration of multiple semiconductor junctions with distinct energy gaps and lattice constants.In this work,we develop a colloidal quantum-dot dual-mode detector capable of detecting,separating,and fusing photons from various wavelength ranges.Using three vertically stacked colloidal quantum-dot homojunctions with alternating polarity,single-band short-wave infrared imaging and fused-band imaging(short-wave and mid-wave infrared)can be achieved with the same detector by controlling bias polarity and magnitude.The dual-mode detectors show detectivity up to 8×10^(10)Jones at the fused-band mode and 3.1×10^(11)Jones at the single-band mode,respectively.Without image post-processing algorithms,the dual-mode detectors could provide both night vision and thermal information-enhanced night vision imaging capability.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first colloidal quantum-dot detector that can achieve such functionality.The operation mode can be changed at a high frequency up to 1.7 MHz,making it possible to achieve simultaneously dual-mode imaging and remote temperature sensing. | SHUO ZHANG GE MU JIE CAO YUNING LUO QUN HAO MENGLU CHEN YIMEI TAN PENGFEI ZHAO XIN TANG | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,8: | 3 |
| 5 | High-operating-temperature mid-infrared photodetectors via quantum dot gradient homojunction显示文摘Due to thermal carriers generated by a narrow mid-infrared energy gap,cooling is always necessary to achieve ideal photodetection.In quantum dot(QD),the electron thermal generation should be reduced with quantum confinement in all three dimensions.As a result,there would be a great potential to realize high-operating-temperature(HOT)QD mid-IR photodetectors,though not yet achieved.Taking the advantages of colloidal nanocrystals’solution processability and precise doping control by surface dipoles,this work demonstrates a HOT mid-infrared photodetector with a QD gradient homojunction.The detector achieves background-limited performance with D^(*)=2.7×1011 Jones on 4.2μm at 80 K,above 10^(11) Jones until 200 K,above 10^(10 )Jones until 280 K,and 7.6×10^(9) Jones on 3.5μm at 300 K.The external quantum efficiency also achieves more than 77%with responsivity 2.7 A/W at zero bias.The applications such as spectrometers,chemical sensors,and thermal cameras,are also approved,which motivate interest in low-cost,solution-processed and high-performance mid-infrared photodetection beyond epitaxial growth bulk photodetectors. | Xiaomeng Xue Menglu Chen Yuning Luo Tianling Qin Xin Tang Qun Hao | 2023 | Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,3: | 2 |
| 6 | Identification of major QTL for seed number per pod on chromosome A05 of tetraploid peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)显示文摘The inheritance of pod-and seed-number traits(PSNT) in peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) is poorly understood. In the present study, a recombinant inbred line(RIL) population of 188 lines was used to map quantitative trait loci(QTL) for number of seeds per pod(NSP),number of pods per plant(NPP), and numbers of one-, two-, and three-seeded pods per plant(N1 PP, N2 PP, and N3 PP) in four environments. A total of 28 consensus QTL and 14 single QTL were identified, including 11 major and stable QTL. Four major and stable QTL including qN3 PPA5.2, q N3 PPA5.4, qN3 PPA5.5, and qN3 PPA5.7 each explained 12.3%–33.0% of phenotype variation. By use of another integrated linkage map for the A5 group(hereafter referred to as INT A5 group), QTL for PSNT were located in seven intervals of 0.73–9.68 Mb in length on chromosome A05, and candidate genes underlying N3 PP were suggested. These findings shed light on the genetic basis of PSNT. | 7 | Integrated genetic linkage map of cultivated peanut by three RIL populations显示文摘High-density and precise genetic linkage map is fundamental to detect quantitative trait locus (QTL) of agronomic and quality related traits in cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.). In this study, three linkage maps from three RIL (recombinant inbred line)populations were used to construct an integrated map. A total of 2,069 SSR and transposon markers were anchored on the high-density integrated map which covered 2,231.53 cM with 20 linkage groups. Totally, 92 QTLs correlating with pod length (PL), pod width (PW), hundred pods weight (HPW) and plant height (PH) from above RIL populations were mapped on it. Seven intervals were found to harbor QTLs controlling the same traits in different populations,including one for PL, three for PW, two for HPW, and one for PH. Besides, QTLs controlling different traits in different populations were found to be overlapped in four intervals.Interval on A05 contains 17 QTLs for different traits from two RIL populations. | 8 | Psychological and Emotional Responses during Different Stages of the COVID-19 Pandemic Based on a Survey of a Mental Health Hotline显示文摘Background:The coronavirus(COVID-19)outbreak in 2019 triggered psychological and emotional responses.This research investigates the psychological status and emotional problems of those who sought psychological assistance during the epidemic period by calling a mental health hotline.Methods:This study aims to combine qualitative and quantitative research.Descriptive analysis was used for undertaking qualitative research.We ana-lyzed the data from group 1(n=706),in which the people used the mental health hotline from 25 January 2020 to 23 June 2020.A self-designed questionnaire was developed in accordance with the classification and sum-marized items from group 1’s psychological problems and emotional status.To implement the quantitative research,we conducted a cross-sectional descriptive survey and used the self-compiled scale and HADS to inves-tigate group 2(n=553)from May 2020 to June 2020.Results:Descriptive statistics and comparative analysis revealed that:①Visitors mainly reported behavior,emotional,family relationship problems and sleep disorders.②Anxiety,comorbidities,sleep disorders and coping problems were the most frequently reported problems.③There were significant differences in the number of visitors experiencing various problems or exhibiting harmful behaviors(sorrow,worry,fear,depression,sleep disorders,self-harm or suicide,and coping problems,anxiety,hypochondria,and comorbidity)in the four stages of the epidemic.④More than a quarter of participants still suffered from anxiety or depression in the later stages of the epidemic.Conclusion:Different problems manifested at different stages of the epidemic,and psychological interventions and assistance should be tailored to reflect this. | Shuna Peng Xiaohong Luo Shiyu Liang Fengning Deng Yuning Liu Hong Zeng Xuesong Yang | 2022 | International Journal of Mental Health Promotion2022,24,5: | 0 |
| 9 | Stable major QTL on chromosomes A07 and A08 increase shelling percentage in peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)显示文摘Peanut is a major oilseed and food legume.Shelling percentage(SP),closely associated with seed yield,is a trait whose improvement is a major goal of peanut breeding.In this study,a mapping population(Xuhua 13×Zhonghua 6)was used to map quantitative trait loci(QTL)controlling SP in four environments.Two stable major QTL for SP were mapped on both SSR-and SNP-based genetic maps.q SPA07.1 on chromosome A07 explained up to 31.7%of phenotypic variation,and q SPA08.2 on chromosome A08 explained up to 10.8%.Favorable alleles of q SPA07.1 and q SPA08.2 were derived from the female and male parents,respectively.Eight recombinant inbred lines(RILs)carrying both favorable alleles showed superiority in SP over the two parents in all environmental trials.A combination of the two favorable alleles using the linked markers was verified to increase SP by~5%in the RIL population and by~3%SP in diverse peanut cultivars.q SPA07.1 and q SPA08.2 were delimited to respectively a 0.73-Mb interval harboring 96 genes and a 3.93-Mb interval harboring 238 genes.Respectively five and eight genes with high expression in pods,including enzymes and transcription factors,were assigned as candidate genes for q SPA07.1 and q SPA08.2.These consistent major QTL provide an opportunity for fine mapping of genes controlling SP,and the linked markers may be useful for genetic improvement of SP in peanut. | Weitao Li Nian Liu Li Huang Yuning Chen Jianbin Guo Bolun Yu Huaiyong Luo Xiaojing Zhou Dongxin Huai Weigang Chen Liying Yan Xin Wang Yong Lei Boshou Liao Huifang Jiang | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,3: | 0 |
