3Performance Analysis of ACO on the Quadratic Assignment Problem显示文摘The Quadratic assignment problem(QAP)is to assign a set of facilities to a set of locations with given distances between the locations and given flows between the facilities such that the sum of the products between flows and distances is minimized, which is a notoriously difficult NP-hard combinatorial optimization problem. A lot of heuristics have been proposed for the QAP problem, and some of them have proved to be efficient approximation algorithms for this problem. Ant colony optimization(ACO) is a general-purpose heuristic and usually considered as an approximation algorithms for NP-hard optimization problems. However, we know little about the performance of ACO for QAP from a theoretical perspective. This paper contributes to a theoretical understanding of ACO on the QAP problem. The worst-case bound on a simple ACO algorithm called(1+1) Max-min ant algorithm((1+1) MMAA) for the QAP problem is presented.It is shown that a degenerate(1+1) MMAA finds an approximate solution on the QAP problem. 4Breast cancer stem-like cells can promote metastasis by activating platelets and down-regulating antitumor activity of natural killer cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate whether cancer stem cells(CSCs) more efficiently activating platelets and evading immune surveillance than non-CSCs thus promoting metastasis.METHODS:We enriched and identified sphereforming cells(SFCs) and coincubated washed platelets with several platelet activators including collagen,4T1 and SFCs.Platelet-coating tumor cells,platelet activation and TGF-β1 release were analyzed.Then natural kell cells(NK) were incubated with supernatants of different activated platelet samples what we called sample release(SR).The degranulation assay and NKG2 D expression on NK cells were conducted by flow cytometry.Finally tissue factor(TF) expression of SFCs or 4T1 were evaluated by western blot.RESULTS:Breast cancer cell line 4T1 could form spheres in serum-free medium at low adherence.Sphere-forming cells expressed high levels of the CD24-/lowCD44 + stem cell phenotype.Both sphere-forming cells or 4T1 were coated with abundant platelets while sphere-forming cells induced significantly higher expression of platelet activating receptor CD62 p than 4T1 did(P < 0.01).And sphere-forming cells induced platelets to produce more TGF-β1 than 4T1 did(P < 0.01).Furthermore,sample releases induced by sphere-forming cells caused more vigorous inhibition of NK cells antitumor reactivity(P < 0.05) and reduced NKG2 D expression(P < 0.01).The final results showed that sphere-forming cells expressed higher levels of TF than 4T1(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Our findings indicate that CSCs could efficiently activate platelets,induce platelets to secrete more TGF-β1,decrease NKG2 D expression and inhibit antitumor activity of NK cell,compared with 4T1.And higher levels of TF expression of CSCs may account for this correlation of CSCs and platelets.Wang Shuo Zhang Ying Cong Weihong Liu Jie Zhang Yuren Fan Huiting XuYonggang Lin Hongsheng 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4:5
5Interface charges boosted ultrafast lithiation in Li_4Ti_5O_12 revealed by in-situ electron holography显示文摘It is still a great challenge at present to combine the high rate capability of the electrochemical capacitor with the high electrochemical capacity feature of rechargeable battery in energy storage and transport devices.By studying the lithiation mechanism of Li_4Ti_5O_(12)(LTO)using in-situ electron holography,we find that double charge layers are formed at the interface of the insulating Li_4Ti_5O_(12)(Li4)phase and the semiconducting Li_7Ti_5O_(12)(Li7)phase,and can greatly boost the lithiation kinetics.The electron wave phase of the LTO particle is found to gradually shrink with the interface movement,leaving a positive electric field from Li7 to Li4 phase.Once the capacitive interface charges are formed,the lithiation of the core/shell particle could be established within 10 s.The ultrafast kinetics is attributed to the built-in interface potential and the mixed Ti^(3+)/Ti^(4+)sites at the interface that could be maximally lowering the thermodynamic barrier for Li ion migration.Yuren Wen Xiao Chen Xia Lu Lin Gu 2018Journal of Energy Chemistry2018,27,5:4
6PSA controls hepatic lipid metabolism by regulating the NRF2 signaling pathway显示文摘The activity of proteinase is reported to correlate with the development and progression of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase(PSA/NPEPPS)is an integral nontransmembrane enzyme that functions to catalyze the cleavage of amino acids near the N-terminus of polypeptides.A previous study suggested that this enzyme acts as a regulator of neuropeptide activity;however,the metabolic function of this enzyme in the liver has not been explored.Here,we identified the novel role of PSA in hepatic lipid metabolism.Specifically,PSA expression was lower in fatty livers from NAFLD patients and mice(HFD,ob/ob,and db/db).PSA knockdown in cultured hepatocytes exacerbated diet-induced triglyceride accumulation through enhanced lipogenesis and attenuated fatty acid β-oxidation.Moreover,PSA mediated activation of the master regulator of antioxidant response,nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(NRF2),by stabilizing NRF2 protein expression,which further induced downstream antioxidant enzymes to protect the liver from oxidative stress and lipid overload.Accordingly,liver-specific PSA overexpression attenuated hepatic lipid accumulation and steatosis in ob/ob mice.Furthermore,in human liver tissue samples,decreased PSA expression correlated with the progression of NAFLD.Overall,our findings suggest that PSA is a pivotal regulator of hepatic lipid metabolism and its antioxidant function occurs by suppressing NRF2 ubiquitination.Moreover,PSA may be a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for treating NAFLD.Bangliang Huang Xin Xiong Linlin Zhang Xiufei Liu Yuren Wang Xiaoli Gong Qian Sang Yongling Lu Hua Qu Hongting Zheng Yi Zheng 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,7:4

8Periostin mediates epithelial-mesenchymal transition through the MAPK/ERK pathway in hepatoblastoma显示文摘Objective: The aim of the present study was to analyze the prognostic factors in patients with hepatoblastoma(HB) in our single center and to evaluate periostin(POSTN) expression in HB and its association with clinicopathological variables. In addition, the underlying mechanism of how POSTN promotes HB progression was discussed.Methods: POSTN expression was investigated in HB tumors by immunohistochemistry(IHC), immunofluorescence(IF) and Western blot(WB). The association among POSTN expression, clinicopathological features and overall survival(OS) was also evaluated. The migration and adhesion ability of HB cells were measured using chemotaxis and cell-matrix adhesion assays,respectively. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)-associated markers and activation of the ERK pathway were detected by WB.Results: HB patients had poor prognosis which displayed lymph node metastasis, vascular invasion, POSTN and vimentin expression. POSTN expression was also associated with lymph node metastasis. Furthermore, overexpressed POSTN promoted migration and the adhesive ability of HB cells in vitro. In addition, we demonstrated that POSTN activated the MAPK/ERK pathway, upregulated the expression of Snail and decreased the expression of OVOL2. 9Atomically Dispersed Fe-Co Bimetallic Catalysts for the Promoted Electroreduction of Carbon Dioxide显示文摘The electroreduction reaction of CO_(2)(ECO_(2)RR)requires high-performance catalysts to convert CO_(2)into useful chemicals.Transition metal-based atomically dispersed catalysts are promising for the high selectivity and activity in ECO_(2)RR.This work presents a series of atomically dispersed Co,Fe bimetallic catalysts by carbonizing the Fe-introduced Co-zeolitic-imidazolate-framework(C-Fe-Co-ZIF)for the syngas generation from ECO_(2)RR.The synergistic effect of the bimetallic catalyst promotes CO production.Compared to the pure C-Co-ZiF,C-Fe-Co-ZIF facilitates CO production with a CO Faradaic efficiency(FE)boost of 10%,with optimal FE_(CO)of 51.9%,FE_(H_(2))of 42.4%at-0.55 V,and CO current density of 8.0 mA cm^(-2)at-0.7 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).The H_(2)/CO ratio is tunable from 0.8 to 4.2 in a wide potential window of-0.35 to-0.8 V versus RHE.The total FE_(CO+H_(2))maintains as high as 93%over 10 h.The proper adding amount of Fe could increase the number of active sites and create mild distortions for the nanoscopic environments of Co and Fe,which is essential for the enhancement of the CO production in ECO_(2)RR.The positive impacts of Cu-Co and Ni-Co bimetallic catalysts demonstrate the versatility and potential application of the bimetallic strategy for ECO_(2)RR.Zhangsen Chen Gaixia Zhang Yuren Wen Ning Chen Weifeng Chen Tom Regier James Dynes Yi Zheng Shuhui Sun 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,2:3
