| 1 | CNN-Based Intelligent Safety Surveillance in Green IoT Applications显示文摘Safety surveillance is considered one of the most important factors in many constructing industries for green internet of things(IoT)applications.However,traditional safety monitoring methods require a lot of labor source.In this paper,we propose intelligent safety surveillance(ISS)method using a convolutional neural network(CNN),which is an autosupervised method to detect workers whether or not wearing helmets.First,to train the CNN-based ISS model,the labeled datasets mainly come from two aspects:1)our labeled datasets with the full labeled on both helmet and pedestrian;2)public labeled datasets with the parts labeled either on the helmet or pedestrian.To fully take advantage of all datasets,we redesign CNN structure of network and loss functions based on YOLOv3.Then,we test our proposed ISS method based on the specific detection evaluation metrics.Finally,experimental results are given to show that our proposed ISS method enables the model to fully learn the labeled information from all datasets.When the threshold of intersection over union(IoU)between the predicted box and ground truth is set to 0.5,the average precision of pedestrians and helmets can reach 0.864 and 0.891,respectively. | Wengang Cao Jianing Zhang Changxin Cai Quan Chen Yu Zhao Yimo Lou Wei Jiang Guan Gui | 2021 | China Communications2021,18,1: | 4 |

| 3 | Uncovering material deformations via machine learning combined with four-dimensional scanning transmission electron microscopy显示文摘Understanding lattice deformations is crucial in determining the properties of nanomaterials,which can become more prominent in future applications ranging from energy harvesting to electronic devices.However,it remains challenging to reveal unexpected deformations that crucially affect material properties across a large sample area.Here,we demonstrate a rapid and semi-automated unsupervised machine learning approach to uncover lattice deformations in materials.Our method utilizes divisive hierarchical clustering to automatically unveil multi-scale deformations in the entire sample flake from the diffraction data using four-dimensional scanning transmission electron microscopy(4D-STEM).Our approach overcomes the current barriers of large 4D data analysis without a priori knowledge of the sample.Using this purely data-driven analysis,we have uncovered different types of material deformations,such as strain,lattice distortion,bending contour,etc.,which can significantly impact the band structure and subsequent performance of nanomaterials-based devices.We envision that this data-driven procedure will provide insight into materials’intrinsic structures and accelerate the discovery of materials. | Chuqiao Shi Michael C.Cao Sarah M.Rehn Sang-Hoon Bae Jeehwan Kim Matthew RJones David A.Muller Yimo Han | 2022 | npj Computational Materials2022,,1: | 3 |

| 13 | Comfort assessment and energy performance analysis of a novel adjustable semi-transparent photovoltaic window under different rule-based controls显示文摘Self-powered photovoltaic windows,which integrate photovoltaic with electrochromic devices,have attracted widespread attention of scholars since they can generate electricity in situ and reduce building energy consumption by modulating the transmitted solar radiation.However,previous studies mainly focused on the material development and performance characterization,lack of comfort assessment and energy saving potential of its application to buildings.To address this issue,an adjustable semi-transparent photovoltaic(ATPV)window which integrates CdTe-based photovoltaic and WO3-based electrochromic,was taken as the research object,and a novel rule-based control strategy taking the beam solar radiation luminous efficacy(CtrlEff)as decision variable was proposed for the first time.The ATPV window model was established in WINDOW software based on the measured data,and then it was exported to integrated with a medium office building model in EnergyPlus for performance evaluation including the visual comfort,thermal comfort,net energy consumption,and net-zero energy ratio.The results of a case study in Changsha(E 112°,N 28°)indicated that the ATPV window under the CtrlEff strategy can effectively reduce the southward and westward intolerable glare by 86.9%and 94.9%,respectively,and increase the thermal comfort hours by 5%and 2%,compared to the Low-E window.Furthermore,the net-zero energy consumption can be decreased by 58.7%,65.7%,64.1%,and 53.8%for south,west,east,and north orientations,and the corresponding net-zero energy ratios are 65.1%,54.6%,62.7%,and 61.6%,respectively.The findings of this study provide new strategies for the control and optimization of the adjustable window. | Yutong Tan Jinqing Peng Meng Wang Yimo Luo Aotian Song Nianping Li | 2023 | Building Simulation2023,16,12: | 1 |
