1FeOOH quantum dots decorated graphene sheet:An efficient electrocatalyst for ambient N2 reduction显示文摘Electrochemical N2 reduction offers a promising alternative to the Haber-Bosch process for sustainable NH3 synthesis at ambient conditions,but it needs efficient catalysts for the N2 reduction reaction(NRR).Here,we report that FeOOH quantum dots decorated graphene sheet acts as a superior catalyst toward enhanced electrocatalytic N2 reduction to NH3 under ambient conditions.In 0.1 M LiClO4,this hybrid attains a large NH3 yield rate and a high Faradaic efficiency of 27.3µg·h^−1·mg−1cat.and 14.6%at−0.4 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode,respectively,rivalling the current efficiency of all Fe-based NRR electrocatalysts in aqueous media.It also shows strong durability during the electrolytic process.Xiaojuan Zhu Jinxiu Zhao Lei Ji Tongwei Wu Ting Wang Shuyan Gao Abdulmohsen Ali Alshehri Khalid Ahmed Alzahrani Yonglan Luo Yimo Xiang Baozhan Zheng Xuping Sun 2020Nano Research2020,13,1:4

4Comfort assessment and energy performance analysis of a novel adjustable semi-transparent photovoltaic window under different rule-based controls显示文摘Self-powered photovoltaic windows,which integrate photovoltaic with electrochromic devices,have attracted widespread attention of scholars since they can generate electricity in situ and reduce building energy consumption by modulating the transmitted solar radiation.However,previous studies mainly focused on the material development and performance characterization,lack of comfort assessment and energy saving potential of its application to buildings.To address this issue,an adjustable semi-transparent photovoltaic(ATPV)window which integrates CdTe-based photovoltaic and WO3-based electrochromic,was taken as the research object,and a novel rule-based control strategy taking the beam solar radiation luminous efficacy(CtrlEff)as decision variable was proposed for the first time.The ATPV window model was established in WINDOW software based on the measured data,and then it was exported to integrated with a medium office building model in EnergyPlus for performance evaluation including the visual comfort,thermal comfort,net energy consumption,and net-zero energy ratio.The results of a case study in Changsha(E 112°,N 28°)indicated that the ATPV window under the CtrlEff strategy can effectively reduce the southward and westward intolerable glare by 86.9%and 94.9%,respectively,and increase the thermal comfort hours by 5%and 2%,compared to the Low-E window.Furthermore,the net-zero energy consumption can be decreased by 58.7%,65.7%,64.1%,and 53.8%for south,west,east,and north orientations,and the corresponding net-zero energy ratios are 65.1%,54.6%,62.7%,and 61.6%,respectively.The findings of this study provide new strategies for the control and optimization of the adjustable window.Yutong Tan Jinqing Peng Meng Wang Yimo Luo Aotian Song Nianping Li 2023Building Simulation2023,16,12:1

6Liquid Air Energy Storage for Decentralized Micro Energy Networks with Combined Cooling,Heating,Hot Water and Power Supply显示文摘Liquid air energy storage(LAES)has been regarded as a large-scale electrical storage technology.In this paper,we first investigate the performance of the current LAES(termed as a baseline LAES)over a far wider range of charging pressure(1 to 21 MPa).Our analyses show that the baseline LAES could achieve an electrical round trip efficiency(e RTE)above 60%at a high charging pressure of 19 MPa.The baseline LAES,however,produces a large amount of excess heat particularly at low charging pressures with the maximum occurred at~1 MPa.Hence,the performance of the baseline LAES,especially at low charging pressures,is underestimated by only considering electrical energy in all the previous research.The performance of the baseline LAES with excess heat is then evaluated which gives a high e RTE even at lower charging pressures;the local maximum of 62%is achieved at~4 MPa.As a result of the above,a hybrid LAES system is proposed to provide cooling,heating,hot water and power.To evaluate the performance of the hybrid LAES system,three performance indicators are considered:nominal-electrical round trip efficiency(ne RTE),primary energy savings and avoided carbon dioxide emissions.Our results show that the hybrid LAES can achieve a high ne RTE between 52%and 76%,with the maximum at~5 MPa.For a given size of hybrid LAES(1 MW×8 h),the primary energy savings and avoided carbon dioxide emissions are up to 12.1 MWh and 2.3 ton,respectively.These new findings suggest,for the first time,that small-scale LAES systems could be best operated at lower charging pressures and the technologies have a great potential for applications in local decentralized micro energy networks.SHE Xiaohui ZHANG Tongtong PENG Xiaodong WANG Li TONG Lige LUO Yimo ZHANG Xiaosong DING Yulong 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,1:1
