| 2 | A pulsed switching peroxi-coagulation process to control hydroxyl radical production and to enhance 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid degradation显示文摘The aim of this study was to develop a new pulsed switching peroxi-coagulation system to control hydroxyl radical(∙OH)production and to enhance 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D)degradation.The system was constructed with a sacrifice iron anode,a Pt anode,and a gas diffusion cathode.Production of H_(2)O_(2) and Fe^(2+)was controlled separately by time delayers with different pulsed switching frequencies.Under current densities of 5.0 mA/cm^(2)(H_(2)O_(2))and 0.5 mA/cm^(2)(Fe^(2+)),the∙OH production was optimized with the pulsed switching frequency of 1.0 s(H_(2)O_(2)):0.3 s(Fe^(2+))and the ratio of H_(2)O_(2) to Fe^(2+)molar concentrations of 6.6.Under the optimal condition,2,4-D with an initial concentration of 500 mg/L was completely removed in the system within 240 min.The energy consumption for the 2,4-D removal in the system was much lower than that in the electro-Fenton process(686 vs.13610 kWh/kg TOC).The iron consumption in the system was~20 times as low as that in the peroxi-coagulation process(19620 vs.3940400 mg/L)within 240 min.The system should be a promising peroxi-coagulation method for organic pollutants removal in wastewater. | Yaobin Lu Songli He Dantong Wang Siyuan Luo Aiping Liu Haiping Luo Guangli Liu Renduo Zhang | 2018 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2018,12,5: | 3 |
| 3 | Multiple Routes Recommendation System on Massive Taxi Trajectories显示文摘This paper presents a cloud-based multiple-route recommendation system, xGo, that enables smartphone users to choose suitable routes based on knowledge discovered in real taxi trajectories. In modern cities, GPS-equipped taxicabs report their locations regularly, which generates a huge volume of trajectory data every day. The optimized routes can be learned by mining these massive repositories of spatio-temporal information. We propose a system that can store and manage GPS log files in a cloud-based platform, probe traffic conditions, take advantage of taxi driver route-selection intelligence, and recommend an optimal path or multiple candidates to meet customized requirements. Specifically, we leverage a Hadoop-based distributed route clustering algorithm to distinguish different routes and predict traffic conditions through the latent traffic rhythm. We evaluate our system using a real-world dataset(>100 GB) generated by about 20 000 taxis over a 2-month period in Shenzhen, China. | 4 | Formaldehyde oxidation on Pd/USY catalysts at room temperature: The effect of acid pretreatment on supports显示文摘The complete catalytic oxidation of formaldehyde (HCHO) to CO_(2)and H_(2)O at room temperature is a green route for indoor HCHO removal.Zeolite is an excellent carrier material for HCHO oxidation due to its large surface area,intricate pores and high adsorption capacity.However,the zeolite-supported noble metal catalysts have currently shown relatively low activity especially at room temperature.In this work,we present a facile acid treatment strategy for zeolite catalysts to improve the hydroxyl concentration and further enhance their catalytic activity for HCHO oxidation.Activity tests illustrated that HCHO could be completely oxidized to CO_(2)and H_(2)O at a nearly 100%conversion rate with a weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) of 150,000 mL/(g·hr) at 25℃,when the support of Pd/USY catalysts was pretreated by hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 0.20 mol/L.The characterization results revealed that the active hydroxyl groups originated from the dealumination in the acid treatment play a key role in the HCHO oxidation reaction.The deduced reaction mechanism suggests that bridging hydroxyl groups may oxidize HCHO to dioxymethylene(DOM) species and terminal hydroxyl groups are responsible for the transformation of DOM groups to formate (HCOO) species. | Xiaofeng Liu Chunying Wang Yumin Chen Qi Qin Yaobin Li Hong He | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3: | 1 |

| 10 | The effect of hydrogen reduction of α-MnO_(2) on formaldehyde oxidation: The roles of oxygen vacancies显示文摘A series of α-MnO_(2) catalysts with various Mn valence states were treated by hydrogen reduction for different periods of time. Their catalytic capacity for formaldehyde(HCHO) oxidation was evaluated. The results indicated that hydrogen reduction dramatically improves the catalytic performance of α-MnO_(2) in HCHO oxidation. The α-MnO_(2) sample reduced by hydrogen for 2 h possessed superior activity and could completely oxidize 150 ppm HCHO to CO_(2) and H_(2)O at 70℃. Multiple characterization results illustrated that hydrogen reduction contributed to the production of more oxygen vacancies. The oxygen vacancies on the catalyst surface enhanced the adsorption, activation and mobility of O_(2) molecules, and thereby enhanced HCHO catalytic oxidation.
