4Supramolecular electrostatic self-assembly of mesoporous thin-walled graphitic carbon nitride microtubes for highly efficient visible-light photocatalytic activities显示文摘For efficient solar energy conversion,the morphology engineering of hollow graphitic carbon nitride(gC3 N4)is one of the promising approachs benefiting from abundant exposed active sites and short photocarrier transport distances,but is difficult to control on account of easy structural collapse.Herein,a facile supramolecular electrostatic self-assembly strategy has been developed for the first time to fabricate mesoporous thin-walled g-C3N4 microtubes(mtw-CNT)with shell thickness of ca.13 nm.The morphological control of g-C3N4 enhances specific surface area by 12 times,induces stronger optical absorption,widens bandgap by 0.18 e V,improves photocurrent density by 2.5 times,and prolongs lifetimes of charge carriers from bulk to surface,compared with those of bulk g-C3N4.As a consequence,the transformed g-C3N4 exhibits the optimum photocatalytic H2-production rate of 3.99 mmol·h^-1·g^-1(λ>420 nm)with remarkable apparent quantum efficiency of 8.7%(λ=420±15 nm)and long-term stability.Moreover,mtw-CNT also achieves high photocatalytic CO2-to-CO selectivity of 96%(λ>420 nm),much better than those on the most previously reported porous g-C3N4 photocatalysts prepared by the conventional hard-templating and soft-templating methods.Yilin Chen Xingchen He Dongsheng Guo Yanqin Cai Jingling Chen Yun Zheng Bifen Gao Bizhou Lin 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10:1
5Co@CoO:An efficient catalyst for the depolymerization and upgrading of lignocellulose to alkylcyclohexanols with cellulose intact显示文摘The depolymerization and upgrading of lignin from raw biomass,while keeping cellulose intact is important in biorefinery and various metal-based catalysts have been used in reductive catalytic fractionation,a key method in'lignin-first'strategy,Recently,we found that a core-shell structured Co@CoO catalyst with CoO shell as the real active site had excellent performance in the hydrogenolysis of 5-hydromethylfurfural to 2,5-dimethylfuran due to its unique ability to dissociate H_(2)and yield active H^(δ-)species(Xiang et al.,2022).In this work,we report a one-pot depolymerization and upgrading of lignocellulose to alkylcyclohexanols,a flavour precursor,with intact cellulose over this unique core-shell structured catalyst,Co@CoO.Lignin model compounds(β-O-4,4-O-5,α-O-4)were first used to clarify the activity of Co@CoO catalyst.Then,the one-pot conversion of various organosolv lignin(birch,pine and poplar)to alkylcyclohexanols was realized with the mass yield of alkylcyclohexanols up to25.8 wt%from birch lignin under the reaction condition of 210℃,1 MPa H_(2),16 h.Finally,the corresponding woody sawdusts were used as feedstocks and found that the Co@CoO catalyst indeed preferentially depolymerized and upgraded the lignin part and obtained the same alkylcyclohexanols products with the retention of cellulose-rich pulp.The collected alkylcyclohexanols were further esterified to obtain valueadded esters,which can be used as flavors.This work will inspire the design of new efficient metal oxide catalysts in lignin fractionation and depolymerization to high-value-added chemicals with intact cellulose.Shuang Xiang Lin Dong Zhiqiang Wang Xue Han Yong Guo Xiaohui Liu Xue-Qing Gong Yanqin Wang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:0

7The overexpression of Rps14 in Lgr5+progenitor cells promotes hair cell regeneration in the postnatal mouse cochlea显示文摘Sensory hair cells(HCs)in the cochlea cannot regenerate spontaneously in adult mammals after being damaged by external or genetic factors.However,several genes and signaling pathways are reported to induce cochlear HC regeneration at the early neonatal stage.Rps14 encodes a ribosomal protein that is involved in the regulation of cell differentiation and proliferation in mammals.However,its roles in the cochlea have not been reported in vivo.Here,we specifically overexpressed Rps14 in Lgr5+progenitor cells in the newborn mouse cochlea and found that Rps14 conditional overexpression(cOE)mice had significantly increased the ectopic HCs,including inner and outer HCs.We further explored the source of these ectopic HCs and found no EdU+supporting cells observed in the Rps14 cOE mice.The lineage tracing results,on the other hand,revealed that Rps14 cOE mice had significantly more tdTomato+HCs in their cochleae than control mice.These results indicated that regenerated HCs by cOE of Rps14 are most likely derived from inducing the direct trans-differentiation of Lgr5+progenitor cells into HCs.Moreover,real-time qPCR results suggested that the transcription factor genes Atoh1 and Gfi1,which are important in regulating HC differentiation,were upregulated in the cochlear basilar membrane of Rps14 cOE mice.In summary,this study provides in vivo evidence that,in the postnatal mouse cochlea,Rps14 is a potential gene that can promote the spontaneous trans-differentiation of Lgr5+progenitor cells into HCs.This gene may one day be exploited as a therapeutic target for treating hearing loss.Jingru Ai Pei Jiang Jingyuan Huang Hairong Xiao Yanqin Lin Mingchen Dai Yintao Wang Yuan Zhang Mengyao Tian Renjie Chai Shasha Zhang 2023Engineered Regeneration2023,4,3:0
8Determination of thorium in the hair and urine of workers and the public in a rare earth mining area显示文摘Objective:To assess the thorium exposure of the mine workers and the public to a typical rare earth mine and estimate the resultant committed effective dose to them.Methods:A total of 79 volunteers were selected in this survey,including 69 mine workers and 10 local residents living about 4 km away from the mine site.Urinary samples were collected from 79 volunteers,with 65 hair samples from 57 workers and 8 local residents.The thorium concentrations in urinary and hair samples were determined by using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.The committed effective doses were estimated based on the urinary samples collected and the parameters as recommended by ICRP Publication 137.Results:Thorium concentrations in the samples from the workers ranged from 19.0 to 2388.8 ng/g in hair with median of 149.8 ng/g,and in urine 18.3–906.1 ng/L with median of 59.6 ng/L,respectively.The median values of thorium concentrations were 11.8 ng/g in hair and 32.40 ng/L in urine for the public respectively.The thorium concentrations in urinary and hair samples of the workers were not only higher than those of the residents in the local area,but also than those of non-occupationally exposed populations as reported.The median values of committed effective dose were estimated to be 1.51 mSv for the workers and 781μSv for the local residents,respectively.Conclusions:The residents in the local area,and especially the workers,have been subject to long term thorium exposure.More attention should be paid to the radiological hazards of thorium to the workers and local residents.Yao Zhang Xianzhang Shao Xiangyin Kong Liangliang Yin Chengguo Wang Liang Lin Yanqin Ji 2022Radiation Medicine and Protection2022,3,2:0

10Optimal Variable Combinations of Co-pelletization of Eucalyptus Sawdust and Natural Forest Sawdust显示文摘Eucalyptus sawdust is a residue from fast-growing forest processing.Utilization of Eucalyptus sawdust as fuel by co-pelletization with natural forest sawdust could solve problems of waste disposal and material supply limitation of pellet production.This work targeted at providing a useful reference for improving pellet properties and optimizing variable combinations.Experiments were arranged using response surface methodology with a central composite design and carried out using a uniaxial piston-cylinder densification apparatus.Based on the analysis of variance of effects of variables on responses,the optimal models were all selected as quadratic and expressed in the form of regression equations.The differences between adjusted R2 and predicted R2 are all within 0.2 and the adequate precision is all greater than four illustrating the reliability of the established models.The optimal variable combinations were obtained according to the desired response goals and validation experiments were conducted.Errors between response predicted and actual values were calculated and applied to improve the model accuracy.After modification,final errors were reduced to less than 9%and could be accepted by pellet production.Experimental results also demonstrated that pellet properties and higher heating value were all increased by co-pelletization and optimization.This will be very beneficial for pellet application.Furthermore,these results could provide the required data for designing a suitable machine of pellet production.Weizhen Li Yanqin Huang Lin Lang Yang Jiang Yan Wang Xiuli Yin 2020Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology(B)2020,10,3:0
