4Genetic diversity,geographic differentiation and evolutionary relationship among ecotypes of Glycine max and G. soja in China显示文摘The knowledge of origin and evolution of cultivated soybeans is one of the basic issues in both biology and agronomy of the crop. In order to investigate the nuclear and cytoplasmic genetic diversity, geographic differentiation and genetic relationship among geographic ecotypes of cultivated (Glycine max) and wild (G. soja) soybeans, the allelic profiles at 60 nuclear simple-sequence repeat (nuSSR) loci and 11 chloroplastic SSR (cpSSR) loci evenly distributed on whole genome of 393 landraces and 196 wild accessions from nation-wide growing areas in China were analyzed. (i) The genetic diversity of the wild soybean was obviously larger than that of the cultivated soybean, with their nuSSR and cpSSR alleles as 1067 vs. 980 and 57 vs 44, respectively. Of the 980 nuclear alleles detected in the cultivated soybean, 377 new ones (38.5%) emerged, while of the 44 chloroplastic alleles in the cultivated soybean, seven new ones (15.9%) emerged after domestication. (ii) Among the cultivated geographic ecotypes, those from southern China, including South-Central China, Southwest China and South China possessed relatively great genetic diversity than those from northern China, while among the wild geographic ecotypes, the Middle and Lower Changjiang Valleys wild ecotype showed the highest genetic diversity. (iii) The analysis of molecular variance, association analysis between geographic grouping and molecular marker clustering and analysis of specific-present alleles of ecotypes demonstrated that the geographic differentiation of both cultivated and wild soybeans associated with their genetic differentiation, or in other words, had their relevant genetic bases. (iv) The cluster analysis of all accessions clearly showed that the wild accessions from Middle and Lower Changjiang Valleys and South-Central & Southwest China had relatively small genetic distances with all cultivated accessions. The UPGMA dendrogram among geographic ecotypes further showed that the genetic distances between all cultivated ecotypes and the Middle and Lower Changjiang Valleys wild ecotype were smaller than those with other wild ones, including their local wild counterparts. 6Topology optimization in lightweight design of a 3D-printed flapping-wing micro aerial vehicle显示文摘Topology optimization is an effective method to obtain a lightweight structure that meets the requirements of structural strength.Whether the optimization results meet the actual needs mainly depends on the accuracy of the material properties and the boundary conditions,especially for a tiny Flapping-wing Micro Aerial Vehicle(FMAV)transmission system manufactured by 3D printing.In this paper,experimental and numerical computation efforts were undertaken to gain a reliable topology optimization method for the bottom of the transmission system.First,the constitutive behavior of the ultraviolet(UV)curable resin used in fabrication was evaluated.Second,a numerical computation model describing further verified via experiments.Topology optimization modeling considering nonlinear factors,e.g.contact,friction and collision,was presented,and the optimization results were verified by both dynamic simulation and experiments.Finally,detailed discussions on different load cases and constraints were presented to clarify their effect on the optimization.Our methods and results presented in this paper may shed light on the lightweight design of a FMAV.Long CHEN Yanlai ZHANG Zuyong CHEN Jun XU Jianghao Wu 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,12:4
7Effects of Zn, Zn-Al and Zn-P Additions on the Tensile Properties of Sn-Bi Solder显示文摘Effects of Zn, Zn-Al and Zn-P additions on melting points, microstructures, tensile properties, and oxidation behaviors of Sn-40 Bi lead-free solder were investigated. The experimental results show that the addition of these three types of elements can refine the microstructures and improve the ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of solder alloys. The fractographic analysis illustrates that ductile fracture is the dominant failure mode in tensile tests of Sn-40Bi-2Zn(SBZ)and Sn-40Bi-2Zn-0.005Al(SBZA) specimens, while brittle fracture is the controlled manner in Sn-40Bi-2Zn-0.005P(SBZP) and Sn-58 Bi solders. 9Application of a novel constrained wavelet threshold denoising method in ensemble-based background-error variance显示文摘A more efficient noise filtering technique is needed in ensemble data assimilation, to improve traditional spectral filtering methods that cannot reflect the local characteristics of spatial scales. In this paper, we present the design of a novel constrained wavelet threshold denoising method(CWTDNM) by introducing an improved threshold value and a new constraining parameter.The proposed method aims to filter noise swamped over different scales. We prepared an ideal experiment object based on the two-dimensional barotropic vorticity equation. A suitable wavelet basis function(i.e., Db11) and the optimal number of decomposition levels(i.e., five) were first selected. The results show that, given the wavelet coefficients are constrained by the parameter, the CWTDNM can produce better filtering results with the smallest root mean square error(RMSE) compared to similar methods. In addition, the filtering accuracy of 10 ensemble sample variances using the CWTDNM is equivalent to that estimated directly from 80 ensemble samples, but with the runtime reduced to approximately one-seventh. 10Entropy measures of type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy sets and type-2 triangular intuitionistic trapezodial fuzzy sets显示文摘In order to measure the uncertain information of a type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy set(T2IFS), an entropy measure of T2 IFS is presented by using the constructive principles. The proposed entropy measure is also proved to satisfy all of the constructive principles. Further, a novel concept of the type-2 triangular intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy set(T2TITr FS) is developed, and a geometric interpretation of the T2 TITr FS is given to comprehend it completely or correctly in a more intuitive way. To deal with a more general uncertain complex system, the constructive principles of an entropy measure of T2 TITr FS are therefore proposed on the basis of the axiomatic definition of the type-2 intuitionisic fuzzy entropy measure. This paper elicits a formula of type-2 triangular intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy entropy and verifies that it does satisfy the constructive principles. 13Aerodynamics and dynamic stability of micro-air-vehicle with four flapping wings in hovering flight显示文摘Recently,a novel concept of flapping Micro-Air-Vehicles(FMAVs)with four wings has been proposed,which potentially utilizes the clap-and-fling effect for lift enhancement and agile maneuvers through an adjustment of wing kinematics.However,the application of the clap-and-fling effect in the four-winged FMAVs is underexplored and the dynamic stability is still unclear.In this paper,aerodynamics and flight dynamic stability of the four-winged FMAVs are studied experimentally and numerically.Results show that the clap-and-fling effect is observed when the flapping frequency is above 18 Hz.Due to the clap-and-fling effect,the lift generation and aerodynamic efficiency are both improved,which is mainly attributed to the fling phase.Further studies show that the clap-and-fling effect becomes weaker as the wing root spacing increases and is almost absent at a wing root spacing of 1.73 chord length.In addition,a wing with an aspect ratio of 3 can increase both lift generation and efficiency due to the clap-and-fling effect.Finally,according to the dynamic stability analysis of the four-winged FMAV,the divergence speed of the lateral oscillation mode is about 4 times faster than that of the longitudinal oscillation mode.Our results can provide guidance on the design and control of four-winged FMAVs.Cheng Cheng Jianghao Wu Yanlai Zhang Han Li Chao Zhou 2020Advances in Aerodynamics2020,2,1:2
14Aerodynamic mechanisms in bio-inspired micro air vehicles:a review in the light of novel compound layouts显示文摘Modern designs of micro air vehicles(MAVs)are mostly inspired by nature's flyers,such as hummingbirds and flying insects,which results in the birth of bio-inspired MAVs.The history and recent progress of the aerodynamic mechanisms in bio-inspired MAVs are reviewed in this study,especially focused on those compound layouts using bio-inspired unsteady aerodynamic mechanisms.Several successful bio-mimicking MAVs and the unsteady high lift mechanisms in insect flight are briefly revisited.Four types of the compound layouts,i.e.the fixed/flapping-wing MAV,the flapping rotary wing MAV,the multiple-pair flapping-wing MAV,and the cycloidal rotor MAV are introduced in terms of recent findings on their aerodynamic mechanisms.In the end,future interests in the field of MAVs are suggested.The authors'review can provide solid background knowledge for both future studies on the aerodynamic mechanisms in bio-inspired MAVs and the practical design of a bio-inspired MAV.Long Chen Yanlai Zhang Chao Zhou Jianghao Wu 2019IET Cyber-Systems and Robotics2019,1,1:2
15Highly transmitted silver nanowires-SWCNTs conductive flexible film by nested density structure and aluminum-doped zinc oxide capping layer for flexible amorphous silicon solar cells显示文摘Indium tin oxide(ITO)is widely used in transparent conductive films(TCFs);however,several disadvan-tages,such as high cost and toxicity of indium,limit its applications.Therefore,it is necessary to develop other materials that can replace ITO.Silver nanowires or single walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)have attracted considerable interest owing to their unique electrical,optical,and thermal stabilities,and thus,they are ideal for transparent electrodes for flexible or stretchable devices.In this study,we develop a novel architecture of composite TCFs on a polyethylene naphthalate(PEN)flexible substrate.Herein,the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films with nested density structure were fabricated through ultrasonic spraying technology by varying the spraying width.For achieving enhanced transmittance,we combined the larger irregular grids and holes with fewer nanowires stacked in the longitudinal direction,more optical chan-nels,and good carrier transport.Thereafter,aluminum-doped zinc oxide(AZO)was used as capping to the structure for enhancing the optical properties of the TCFs.The silver nanowires-SWCNTs/AZO(ASA)bilayer was obtained in the optimized architecture,which showed superior optoelectronic performance to that shown by commercial ITO with a high optical transmittance of 92%at the wavelength of 550 nm and low sheet resistance of 17/sq.In the specially structured conductive film,the significant improvement in the transmittance and uniformity of the sheet resistance was attributed to the effective nanowire junc-tion contact compared to that in ordinary structure of silver nanowires,which reduced the mean density of small clusters of nanowires.Compared with the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films,the ASA bilayer film exhibited excellent resistance to boiling,mechanical bending(10,000 cycles),and CO_(2)plasma.Moreover,the sheet resistance of ASA changed slightly after the tape tests,thereby illustrating a strong adhesion to the PEN substrate after the enclosure of AZO.Meanwhile,the AZO capping layer can enhance the op-tical transmittance between 600 and 1500 nm.In addition,the amorphous silicon photovoltaic devices with flexible ASA TCFs exhibited a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 8.67%.After bending for 3000 times,the PCE was decreased to 8.20%,thereby demonstrating the potential of developed films to replace traditional ITO.Shunliang Gao Xiaohui Zhao Qi Fu Tianchi Zhang Jun Zhu Fuhua Hou Jian Ni Chengjun Zhu Tiantian Li Yanlai Wang Vignesh Murugadoss Gaber A.M.Mersal Mohamed M.Ibrahim Zeinhom M.El-Bahy Mina Huang Zhanhu Guo 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,31:2
16A novel recombinant DNA vaccine encodingMycobacterium tuberculosis ESAT-6 and FL protects againstMycobacterium tuberculosis challenge in mice显示文摘Mycobacterium tuberculosis 6-kDa early secretory antigenic target(ESAT-6)is a dominant target antigen for cell-mediated immunity in the early phase of tuberculosis.The fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand(FL)that induces potent immune response has been used as an adjuvant in vaccine development.In this study,a new recombinant plasmid(pIRES-epitope-peptides-FL)encoding three T cell epitopes of ESAT-6 and FL was constructed,and the immunogenicity of the DNA vaccine was assessed in C57BL/6 mice immunized with the plasmid DNA vaccine.Additionally,a strategy of intramuscular injection with the DNA vaccine(prime)and intranasal administration of the epitope peptides(boost)was employed to induce higher immune reaction of the mice.The results showed that mice vaccinated with the recombinant plasmid DNA vaccine and boosted with the peptides not only increased the levels of Th1 cytokines(IFN-γand IL-12),the number of IFN-γ+T cells and activities of cytotoxic T lymphocytes as well as IgG,but also enhanced protection against Mycobacterium tuberculosis challenge.In conclusion,these data indicate that the novel recombinant pIRES-epitope-peptides-FL plasmid is a useful DNA vaccine for preventing Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.Qingtao Jiang Jing Zhang Xia Chen Mei Xia Yanlai Lu Wen Qiu Ganzhu Feng Dan Zhao Yan Li Fengxia He Guangyong Peng Yingwei Wang 2013The Journal of Biomedical Research2013,27,5:2

18Wing Modulation and Aerodynamics of Hoverflies in Gust Perturbations显示文摘Flapping-Wing Micro-Air Vehicles are likely to suffer from airflow perturbations.They can mimic the wing modulation of insects in airflow perturbations.However,our knowledge of wing modulation of insects to airflow perturbations remains limited.Here,we subjected hoverflies to headwind and lateral gust perturbations and filmed their wing motions.Then,computational fluid dynamics was employed to estimate the effects of hoverflies’wing kinematic modulations.We also clipped off the antennae of hoverflies to test whether the wing kinematic modulations were different.Results show that hoverflies increase the mean positional angle and modulate the deviation angle to make the wing tip paths of upstroke and downstroke close to compensate for the pitch moment perturbations in the headwind gust.Hoverflies employ asymmetric responses in positional angle in the lateral gust.The stroke amplitude of the left(right)wing increases(decreases)and the mean positional angle of the left(right)wing decreases(increases)during the right lateral gust.Antennae have little effect on the wing kinematic modulations in the lateral gust.These asymmetric responses produce a roll moment,tilting the body to resist the side force generated by the gust.This is a typical helicopter model employed by hoverflies to alleviate the gust.These results provide insight into the remarkable capacity of hoverflies to contend with gusts and can also inspire the design of flapping-wing micro-air vehicles.Yanlai Zhang Mancang Gu Jianghao Wu 2023Journal of Bionic Engineering2023,20,2:1
