2Diagnosis and management of venous malformations: An overview显示文摘Venous malformations pose some of the most difficult challenges in the practice of medicine today. Clinical manifestations of these lesions are extremely protean. Because of the rarity of these lesions, most clinicians have limited experience in their diagnosis and management, which augments the enormity of the problem and can lead to misdiagnoses, inadequate treatment, high complication rates, and poor patient outcomes. Vascular malformations are best treated in medical centers where patients with these maladies are seen regularly and the team approach is used. The occasional embolizer will never gain enough experience to treat these problematic lesions adequately. More importantly, when complications do occur, the morbidity of that complication is worsened because of this lack of experience and the absence of an experienced team of physicians. All too frequently, the patient ultimately pays for a physician's initial enthusiasm, inexperience, folly, and lack of necessary clinician backup. A cavalier approach to the management of venous malformations will always lead to significant complications and dismal patient outcomes. These patients should be referred to centers that regularly treat vascular malformations, appropriately manage complications in a timely manner, and routinely deal with the dilemmas they present. Only in this fashion can significant experience be gained, improved judgment in managing these lesions develop, and definitive appropriate statements in the treatment of vascular anomalies evolve.Wayne F. 3Phytochrome B interacts with SWC6 and ARP6 to regulate H2A.Z deposition and photomorphogensis in Arabidopsis显示文摘Light serves as a crucial environmental cue which modulates plant growth and development, and which is controlled by multiple photoreceptors including the primary red light photoreceptor,phytochrome B(phyB). The signaling mechanism of phyB involves direct interactions with a group of basic helix-loop-helix(bHLH) transcription factors, PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTORS(PIFs), and the negative regulators of photomorphogenesis, COP1 and SPAs. H2 A.Z is an evolutionarily conserved H2 A variant which plays essential roles in transcriptional regulation. The replacement of H2 A with H2 A.Z is catalyzed by the SWR1 complex. Here, we show that the Pfr form of phyB physically interacts with the SWR1 complex subunits SWC6 and ARP6. phyB and ARP6 coregulate numerous genes in the same direction,some of which are associated with auxin biosynthesis and response including YUC9, which encodes a rate-limiting enzyme in the tryptophandependent auxin biosynthesis pathway. Moreover,phyB and HY5/HYH act to inhibit hypocotyl elongation partially through repression of auxin biosynthesis. 4Enhancement of strength-ductility balance of heavy Ti and Al alloyed FeCoNiCr high-entropy alloys via boron doping显示文摘As one of the most effective mechanisms,precipitation-hardening is widely used to strengthen high-entropy alloys.Yet,heavy precipitation-hardened high-entropy alloys usually exhibit serious embrittlement.How to effectively achieve ultra-high strength and maintain reliable ductility remains a challenge.Here,we report a study of doping extremely little boron to meet this target.We found that adding of 30 ppm boron into the heavy Ti and Al alloyed FCC FeCoNiCr high-entropy,(FeCoNiCr)_(88) Ti_(6) Al_(6) HEA(at.%)which is strengthened mainly by both coarse BCC-based(Ni,Co)_(2) TiAl Heusler and fine L12-type FCC-based(Ni,Co)_(3) TiAl precipitates and shows ultrahigh strength but poor ductility,could significantly change the original microstructure and consequently improve mechanical performance,owing to the well-known effect of boron on reducing the energy of grain boundaries.The boron addition can(1)eliminate microcavities formed at Heusler precipitate-matrix interfaces;(2)suppress the formation and segregation of coarse BCC Heusler precipitates;(3)promote the formation of L12 nanoparticles.This changes of microstructure substantially improve the tensile ductility more than by~86%and retain comparable or even better ultimate tensile strength.These findings may provide a simple and costless solution to produce heavy precipitation-strengthened HEAs with ultrahigh strength and prevent accidental brittleness.Yongliang Qi Tinghui Cao Hongxiang Zong Yake Wu Lin He Xiangdong Ding Feng Jiang Shenbao Jin Gang Sha Jun Sun 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,16:2

6Synthesis characterization and improved electrochemical performance of Li2FeSiO4/C as cathode for lithium-ion battery by metal doping显示文摘In this paper, Li2FeSi0.98M0.02O4/C(M = Mg, Zn, Co, Mn, Ni) was synthesized as cathode material for lithium ion battery by solid-state method. The results show that the materials doped with Mg and Zn at the Si-sites have good initial discharge capacity. Then Li2FeSi1-xMxO4/C(M = Mg, Zn;x = 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05) were also synthesized via solid-state method. It is concluded that Li2FeSi0.99Mg0.01O4/C and Li2FeSi0.98Zn0.02O4/C have better initial discharge capacity which is 125 mAh/g and 166.2 mAh/g, respectively. The capacity of Li2Fe0.98Zn0.02SiO4/C is 157.3 m Ah/g after 10 cycles at 0.1 C, and the capacity retention rate is 94.6%. The Li^+ diffusion coefficient of Li2FeSi0.98Zn0.02O4/C is higher than that of pure phase materials by one order of magnitude. The Li2FeSi0.99Mg0.01O4/C and Li2FeSi0.98Zn0.02O4/C were tested by XRD and SEM. XRD patterns indicate that the crystal structure of Li2FeSiO4 is not changed after being doped with metal ion at the Si-site. The SEM image indicates that no obvious agglomeration is detected in these materials. Li2FeSi0.98Zn0.02O4/C processes better electrochemical performance analyzed by EDS、XPS and FT-IR spectra. 7Can amino-functionalized carbon nanotubes carry functional nerve growth factor?显示文摘Carbon nanotubes can carry protein into cells to induce biological effects. Amino-functionalized carbon nanotubes are soluble and biocompatible, have high reactivity and low toxicity, and can help promote nerve cell growth. In this study, amino-functionalized ethylenediamine-treated multi-walled carbon nanotubes were used to prepare carbon nanotubes-nerve growth factor complexes by non-covalent grafting. The physicochemical properties, cytotoxicity to PC12 and chick embryo dorsal root ganglion, and biological activity of the carbon nanotubes-nerve growth factor complexes were investigated.
