| 1 | Spatial-temporal Characteristics and Factors Influencing Commuting Activities of Middle-class Residents in Guangzhou City, China显示文摘The middle class in metropolitan Chinese cities has become an important social group. With the rapid development of urbanization and constant advancement of suburbanization, the middle class has increasingly come to influence city traffic. Research into middle-class commuting activities thus has practical significance for improving traffic congestion and reducing the commuting burden in metropolitan cities. Based on a dataset formed by 816 completed surveys, this paper analyzes the commuting mode, time and distance of middle-class residents in Guangzhou City using the descriptive statistical method. The results indicate that private cars are the main commuting mode, followed by public transport. Meanwhile, middle-class residents mainly undertake medium-short time and medium-short distance commuting. The study subsequently uses multilevel logistic regression and multiple linear regression models to analyze the factors that influence commuting mode choice, time and distance. The gender, age, number of family cars, housing source and jobs-housing balance are the most important factors influencing commuting mode choice; housing, population density, jobs-housing balance and commuting mode significantly affect commuting time; and transport accessibility, jobs-housing balance and commuting mode are the notable factors affecting commuting distance. Finally, this paper analyzes what is affecting the commuting activities of middle-class residents and determines the differences in commuting activity characteristics and influence factors between middle-class and ordinary residents. Policy suggestions to improve urban planning and urban management are also proposed. | DAI Dandan ZHOU Chunshan YE Changdong | 2016 | Chinese Geographical Science2016,26,3: | 7 |
| 2 | Characterization of Macro-and Meso-Scale Shear Behavior of Soil-Brick Mixtures with Different Contents and Shapes of Brick by Discrete Element Method显示文摘Due to urban construction and renovation projects,a large amount of construction and demolition waste(CDW)is increasing year by year in China.Among them,soil-brick mixture(SBM)is most widely landfilled because many older brick buildings were constructed in the last century(Zhang et al.,2022;Xu et al.,2021).Since the SBM is composed of two kinds of geotechnical materials, its mechanical properties are more complex than those of the single material. They depend not only on the mechanical properties of the individual components such as soil and brick, but also on the relative content of these components and the shape of the coarse particles(Zhu et al.,2021).The shear properties of SBM directly affect the stability of slope and paving engineering;therefore,it is significant to study the mechanical properties of SBM. | Huawei Zhang Changdong Li Ni Xie Wenmin Yao Yang Ye Nang Mon Mon Thaw | 2023 | Journal of Earth Science2023,34,5: | 1 |
| 3 | An ultra-low concentration electrolyte with fluorine-free bulky anions for stable potassium metal batteries显示文摘Potassium metal battery is a promising alternative to Li-ion battery for large-scale energy storage due to the abundant potassium resources and high energy density. However,it suffers from rapid capacity fading and safety issues due to the uncontrolled dendrite growth.Herein,we design a fluorine-free ultra-low concentration electrolyte(ULCE)with the super bulky[BPh_(4)]^(−) anions for stable potassium metal battery. In this special electrolyte, the migration rate of K+in the electrolyte is about six times faster than that of the[BPh_(4)]^(−) anions because of the super bulky structure of the[BPh_(4)]^(−) anions, thus resulting in a high K^(+)transference number of 0.76.This high transference number can effectively make up for the deficiency of K^(+)in ULCE for ensuring the normal operation of the potassium metal battery. In addition, the improved transference number can also promote the uniform distribution of K^(+)flux on the surface of the K metal anode, resulting in uniform K deposition. As a result, this electrolyte achieves a high K plating/stripping Coulombic efficiency of 92.6%over 200 cycles and a stable discharging/charging for 100 cycles under the full battery configuration(K used as the anode and perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic dianhydride used as the cathode). | Qinguang Liu Mei Geng Ting Yu Li Zhang Changdong Wu Jie Liu Shulin Zhao Qingxin Yang Robin Song Jingjuan Ye Fenfen Wang Yuping Wu Dengji Xiao Yuhui Chen | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,6: | 0 |
| 4 | Rapid Evaluation of Rock Mass Integrity of Engineering Slopes Using Three-Dimensional Laser Scanning显示文摘0 INTRODUCTION.The classification of the rock mass quality is an important research topic within geological engineering and rock mechanics, because it is a powerful tool to perform rock mass stability analysis in rock engineering practices(Babacan et al.,2014;Singh et al.,1992). | Liang Chen Yunfeng Ge Xuming Zeng Haiyan Wang Changdong Li Shan Dong Yang Ye Dongming Gu | 2023 | Journal of Earth Science2023,34,6: | 0 |
