1广西某地吸毒人群的吸毒行为和性行为定性研究显示文摘目的 了解吸毒者的吸毒行为发生的场合、形式和性行为方式以及他们的行为意识。方法在某地戒毒所和社区招募 2 5名吸毒者 ,对每名吸毒者单独进行深入访谈 ,每人约 2~ 3h,了解吸毒者的吸毒行为和性行为情况及行为意识。结果 多数吸毒者由口吸转为注射是为了减少经济负荷和寻求最高欣快感。少数不注射者自述其原因包括 :担心注射有害、过量致死、感染艾滋病。很多吸毒者知道艾滋病可以通过共用注射器和性交传播 ,但仍在夜间、人多而毒品不足或注射器不够的情况下共用注射器吸毒。吸毒者性乱普遍 ,女性吸毒者多数卖淫 ,发生性行为时很少使用安全套。结论 吸毒人群中高危注射毒品行为和高危性行为很普遍 ,他们已经有了一定的艾滋病知识 ,单纯的预防艾滋病宣传教育效果有限。为了控制艾滋病在这一人群中的传播 。明中强 梁绍玲 Lorraine Yap 刘伟 吴尊友 2002中华流行病学杂志2002,23,2:50
2Targeting the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in gastric carcinoma: A reality for personalized medicine?显示文摘Frequent activation of phosphatidylinositol-3 kinases(PI3K)/Akt/m TOR signaling pathway in gastric cancer(GC) is gaining immense popularity with identification of mutations and/or amplifications of PIK3 CA gene or loss of function of PTEN,a tumor suppressor protein,to name a few; both playing a crucial role in regulating this pathway. These aberrations result in dysregulation of this pathway eventually leading to gastric oncogenesis,hence,there is a need for targeted therapy for more effective anticancer treatment. Several inhibitors are currently in either preclinical or clinical stages for treatment of solid tumors like GC. With so many inhibitors under development,further studies on predictive biomarkers are needed to measure the specificity of any therapeutic intervention. Herein,we review the common dysregulation of PI3K/Akt/m TOR pathway in GC and the various types of single or dual pathway inhibitors under development that might have a superior role in GC treatment. 3Targeting the PI3K-AKT-mTOR signaling network in cancer显示文摘The phosphoinositide 3-kinase-AKT-mammalian target of rapamycin (PI3K-AKT-mTOR) pathway is a frequently hyperactivated pathway in cancer and is important for tumor cell growth and survival. The development of targeted therapies against mTOR, a vital substrate along this pathway, led to the approval of allosteric inhibitors, including everolimus and temsirolimus, for the treatment of breast, renal, and pancreatic cancers. However, the suboptimal duration of response in unselected patients remains an unresolved issue. Numerous novel therapies against critical nodes of this pathway are therefore being actively investigated in the clinic in multiple tumour types. In this review, we focus on the progress of these agents in clinical development along with their biological rationale, the need of predictive biomarkers and various combination strategies, which will be useful in counteracting the mechanisms of resistance to this class of drugs.Khurum H. 5PI3K/Akt/mTOR inhibitors in breast cancer显示文摘Activation of the phosphoinositide 3 kinase(PI3K)/Akt/mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR) pathway is common in breast cancer. There is preclinical data to support inhibition of the pathway, and phase Ⅰ to Ⅲ trials involving inhibitors of the pathway have been or are being conducted in solid tumors and breast cancer. Everolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, is currently approved for the treatment of hormone receptor(HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-negative breast cancer. In this review, we summarise the efficacy and toxicity findings from the randomised clinical trials, with simplified guidelines on the management of potential adverse effects. Education of healthcare professionals and patients is critical for safety and compliance. While there is some clinical evidence of activity of mTOR inhibition in HR-positive and HER2-positive breast cancers, the benefits may be more pronounced in selected subsets rather than in the overall population. 7Surveillance and response systems for elimination of tropical diseases: summary of a thematic series in Infectious Diseases of Poverty显示文摘The peer-reviewed journal Infectious Diseases of Poverty provides a new platform to engage with,and disseminate in an open-access format,science outside traditional disciplinary boundaries.The current piece reviews a thematic series on surveillance-response systems for elimination of tropical diseases.Overall,22 contributions covering a broad array of diseases are featured–i.e.clonorchiasis,dengue,hepatitis,human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome(HIV/AIDS),H7N9 avian influenza,lymphatic filariasis,malaria,Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS),rabies,schistosomiasis and tuberculosis(TB).There are five scoping reviews,a commentary,a letter to the editor,an opinion piece and an editorial pertaining to the theme“Elimination of tropical disease through surveillance and response”.The remaining 13 articles are original contributions mainly covering(i)drug resistance;(ii)innovation and validation in the field of mathematical modelling;(iii)elimination of infectious diseases;and(iv)social media reports on disease outbreak notifications released by national health authorities.Analysis of the authors’affiliations reveals that scientists from the People’s Republic of China(P.R.China)are prominently represented.Possible explanations include the fact that the 2012 and 2014 international conferences pertaining to surveillance-response mechanisms were both hosted by the National Institute of Parasitic Diseases(NIPD)in Shanghai,coupled with P.R.China’s growing importance with regard to the control of infectious diseases.Within 4 to 22 months of publication,three of the 22 contributions were viewed more than 10000 times each.With sustained efforts focusing on relevant and strategic information towards control and elimination of infectious diseases,Infectious Diseases of Poverty has become a leading journal in the field of surveillance and response systems in infectious diseases and beyond.Xia Zhou Peiling Yap Marcel Tanner Robert Bergquist Jürg Utzinger Xiao-Nong Zhou 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:12
8Synthesis and applications of MOF-derived porous nanostructures显示文摘Metal organic frameworks(MOFs) represent a class of porous material which is formed by strong bonds between metal ions and organic linkers. By careful selection of constituents, MOFs can exhibit very high surface area, large pore volume, and excellent chemical stability.Research on synthesis, structures and properties of various MOFs has shown that they are promising materials for many applications, such as energy storage, gas storage, heterogeneous catalysis and sensing. Apart from direct use, MOFs have also been used as support substrates for nanomaterials or as sacrificial templates/precursors for preparation of various functional nanostructures. In this review, we aim to present the most recent development of MOFs as precursors for the preparation of various nanostructures and their potential applications in energy-related devices and processes. 9Risk assessment for the daily intake of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from the ingestion of cockle (Anadara granosa) and exposure to contaminated water and sediments along the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia显示文摘The concentration of carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (c-PAHs) present in the sediment and water of Peninsular Malaysia as well as in the cockle Anadara granosa was investigated.Samples were extracted and analysed with gas chromatographymass spectrometry.The concentrations of total carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (t-PAHs) were measured between 0.80 ± 0.04 to 162.96 ± 14.74 ng/g wet weight (ww) in sediment,between 21.85 ± 2.18 to 76.2 ± 10.82 ng/L in water samples and between 3.34 ± 0.77 to 46.85 ± 5.50 ng/g ww in the cockle tissue.The risk assessment of probable human carcinogens in the Group B2 PAHs was calculated and assessed in accordance with the standards of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA).Case I in the toxicity assessment analysed the cancer risk to consumers of Malaysian blood cockle.Case II assessed the risk of cancer from exposure to PAHs from multiple pathways.The average cancer risk of case I and case II were found to be classifiable as unsafe according to the US EPA standard.The cancer risk due to c-PAHs acquired by the ingestion of blood cockle was (8.82 ± 0.54) × 10-6 to (2.67 ± 0.06) × 10-2,higher than the US EPA risk management criterion.The non-cancer risks associated with multiple pathways in Kuala Gula,Kuala Juru and Kuala Perlis were higher than the US EPA safe level,but the non-cancer risk for eating blood cockle was below the level of US EPA concern.Seiedeh Aghileh Mirsadeghi Mohamad Pauzi Zakaria Chee Kong Yap Azadeh Shahbazi 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2:11
10Biogreen Synthesis of Carbon Dots for Biotechnology and Nanomedicine Applications显示文摘Over the past decade, carbon dots have ignited a burst of interest in many different fields, including nanomedicine, solar energy, optoelectronics, energy storage,and sensing applications, owing to their excellent photoluminescence properties and the easiness to modify their optical properties through doping and functionalization. In this review, the synthesis, structural and optical properties,as well as photoluminescence mechanisms of carbon dots are first reviewed and summarized. 13Molecular mechanisms of protein induced hyperinsulinaemic hypoglycaemia显示文摘The interplay between glucose metabolism and that of the two other primary nutrient classes, amino acids and fatty acids is critical for regulated insulin secretion. Mitochondrial metabolism of glucose, amino acid and fatty acids generates metabolic coupling factors(such as ATP, NADPH, glutamate, long chain acyl-CoA and diacylglycerol) which trigger insulin secretion. The observation of protein induced hypoglycaemia in patients with mutations in GLUD1 gene, encoding the enzyme glutamate dehydrogenase(GDH) and HADH gene, encoding for the enzyme short-chain 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase has provided new mechanistic insights into the regulation of insulin secretion by amino acid and fatty acid metabolism. Metabolic signals arising from amino acid and fatty acid metabolism converge on the enzyme GDH which integrates both signals from both pathways and controls insulin secretion. 14The effect of K2SiF6 on the MgH2 hydrogen storage properties显示文摘The catalytic effect of K2SiF6 on MgH2 was first timely studied.The MgH2+5 wt.%K2SiF6 was prepared via the ball milling technique.The catalyst had lessened the initial decomposition temperature by 134℃ and 48℃ as compared to both pristine and milled MgH2 samples,respectively.In 2 minutes,4.5 wt.%of hydrogen was absorbed(250℃)by the doped composite,which was 0.8 wt.%higher than the milled MgH2.Meanwhile,for the desorption kinetics(320℃,1 atm),the amount of desorbed hydrogen was increased by 2.4 wt.%and 2.3 wt.%for the first 10 and 20 minutes.Besides,contracting volume and Johnson-Mehl-Avrami models were used to analyse the kinetics sorptions.The decomposition activation energy calculated based on Kissinger equation was 114 kJ/mol.As for the active species,Mg2Si,MgF2 and KH were formed during the heating process.These active species are speculated to be responsible for the improvement of the hydrogenation properties of the composite.M.Ismail M.S.Yahya N.A.Sazelee N.A.Ali F.A.Halim Yap N.S.Mustafa 2020Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2020,8,3:6
15皮质类固醇治疗外伤性视神经病变的四天关键时期显示文摘目的:评估静脉注射甲基强的松龙(IVMP)对外伤性视神经病变患者的疗效。 方法:回顾性分析2000-01至2007-06我院收治的16例外伤性视神经病变(TON)患者的临床资料。1g甲基强的松龙分3d静脉应用,然后口服泼尼松龙11d,并逐渐减量。记录从损伤开始到治疗开始的时间。视力变化是本研究结果的主要功能评价指标。在入院时,治疗后1,2,3d;1wk和1mo时,分别记录最佳矫正视力(BCVA)。 结果:共有16例患者纳入本研究,平均年龄为30岁,其中男性14例、女性2例。引起TON的主要原因有摩托车事故(占69%),打架斗殴(占19%)和体育运动(占12%)。所有患者都表现有相对传入性瞳孔障碍。在损伤后4d内开始静脉注射甲基强的松龙,采用Snellen视力表检查视力,绝大部分(56%)患者视力提高超过3行或大于等于0.5(6/12)。在损伤后5d以上才开始用类固醇治疗,视力则没有任何进步。 结论:治疗TON,静脉注射中等到大剂量甲基强的松龙仍将起到重要作用。静脉注射甲基强的松龙治疗TON可能存在伤后4d的关键时期,超过了这个时期,该治疗可能就毫无效果。但还需要有更多的研究来为我们提供有明显统计学意义的数据。Soon Lek Yap Angeline Diong Ching Nga Nadir Ali Mohamed Ali Visvaraja Subrayan 2008国际眼科杂志2008,8,3:6

17Immuno-oncology combinations: raising the tail of the survival curve显示文摘There have been exponential gains in immuno-oncology in recent times through the development of immune checkpoint inhibitors. Already approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for advanced melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer,immune checkpoint inhibitors also appears to have significant antitumor activity in multiple other tumor types. An exciting component of immunotherapy is the durability of antitumor responses observed, with some patients achieving disease control for many years. Nevertheless, not all patients benefit, and efforts should thus now focus on improving the efficacy of immunotherapy through the use of combination approaches and predictive biomarkers of response and resistance. There are multiple potential rational combinations using an immunotherapy backbone, including existing treatments such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy or molecularly targeted agents, as well as other immunotherapeutics. The aim of such antitumor strategies will be to raise the tail on the survival curve by increasing the number of long term survivors, while managing any additive or synergistic toxicities that may arise with immunotherapy combinations. Rational trial designs based on a clear understanding of tumor biology and drug pharmacology remain paramount. 18Improved hydrogen storage properties of MgH_2 catalyzed with K_2NiF_6显示文摘In this study, the hydrogen storage properties of MgH_2-X wt% K_2NiF_6(X = 5, 10, 15, 20, and 50) were investigated for the first time. From the analysis of the onset desorption temperature and isothermal de/absorption kinetics, it was shown that MgH_2+ 5 wt% K_2NiF_6sample has the best performance. The 5wt% doped sample started to release hydrogen at about 260 °C, which was a reduction of about 95 °C and 157 oC compared with the as-milled and as-received MgH_2. In addition, the de/absorption kinetics of the MgH_2+ 5 wt% K_2NiF_6 were also improved significantly compared to the un-doped MgH_2. The apparent activation energy for hydrogen desorption exhibited the decrement from 167.0 k J/mol for as-milled MgH_2 to 111.0 k J/mol with the addition of 5 wt% K_2NiF_6. Moreover, the X-ray diffraction spectra displayed the formation of new phases of KF, KH, Mg_2Ni and Mg_2NiH_4 by doping the K_2NiF_6with MgH_2 after the dehydrogenation and rehydrogenation processes. The scanning electron microscope results revealed that MgH_2 doped with 5 wt% K_2NiF_6demonstrated the smallest particle size compared to the as-received and as-milled MgH_2. 20可靠性、可用性与可维修性分析在LNG接收站产能预测中的应用(英文)显示文摘LNG设施通常包括天然气液化、LNG储运及运输等。在中国天然气供应链对经济民生影响重大。天然气供应链或供应系统中关键设备的非计划及计划性维修导致的天然气供应中断,都可能造成巨大的经济损失。本项目应用可靠性、可用性及可维修性(RAM)分析方法对于液化天然气储备库及附属设施的可靠性指标进行评估,定量分析LNG供应链中关键设备的失效及维修时间对于整个供应链可靠性指标的影响。RAM分析可以用来预测在指定的运行周期内整个LNG供应链的运行绩效。RAM分析辨识关键设备的失效模式,确定失效数据,并采取Monte Carlo的模拟计算,获得LNG供应链或系统中,关键设备失效对于可靠性指标影响。本文通过国内某LNG储备库项目的 RAM分析,应用以Monte Carlo模拟为基础的系统可靠性分析软件ReliaSuite?,评估LNG储备库系统设计能否满足可靠性指标。并且对LNG储运设施的卸料臂进行了失效模式及关键性影响分析(FMECA)。通过对LNG储备库各子系统对于项目整体可靠性的贡献进行敏感性分析,找到影响项目整体可靠性的瓶颈及解决方案。鲁毅 Edmund YAP 刘昳蓉 袁小军 2015化工学报2015,66,S2:5
