The stress rupture property under 1100°C/80MPa is increased by adding proper amounts of yttrium, howevef it decreases bg adding 0.3wt% silicon and 0. 1wt% yttrium at the same time, which may be attributed to the formation of a needle like phase rich in nickel and molybdenum.C.B. 2EFFECT OF YTTRIUM ON PERFORMANCE OF DIRECTIONALLY SOLIDIFIED Ni 3Al BASE ALLOY IC6显示文摘The effect of different amounts of rare earth element yttrium on the microstructure of the directionally solidified (DS) Ni 3Al base alloy IC6 was studied with scanning electron microscope(SEM). The results showed that the microstructure of alloys with addition of 0.04%~0.12%Y had no obvious difference compared with that of IC6 without yttrium, and a bulk shape phase rich in Ni, Mo and Y was formed within large size γ′ phase in interdendritic area in the alloy with 0.20%Y, and the volume of large size γ′ phase in interdendritic area increased when the adding amounts of yttrium increased to 0.3%. The stress rupture properties at 1 100 ℃, 80 MPa were improved by adding 0.04%~0.20%Y. The oxidation resistance and thermal fatigue property of the alloys with different amounts of yttrium were tested at 1 100 ℃. 5EFFECT OF SILICON ON THE MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF YTTRIUM MODIFIED Ni_3Al BASE ALLOY IC6显示文摘The effect of different amounts of silicon on the microstructure of the yttrium modified Ni3Al base alloy IC6 was studied with transmission electron microscope (TEM). The chemical compositions of phases formed due to the presence of silicon and yttrium were analyzed with energy dispersive spectrum(EDS) technique of electron probe microstructural analysis (EPMA). The results showed that a bulk shape phase rich in Mo and Si was formed in the alloys with addition of 0.10-0.20wt%Si and 0.12wt%Y, and that a needle like phase named Y-NiMo was precipitated in the interdendritic area in the alloy with addition of 0.30wt%Si and 0.12wt%Y besides the formation of the bulk shape phase mentioned above. The stress rupture properties under 1100℃/80MPa and the thermal fatigue properties at 1100℃ were improved by adding 0. 12wt%Y but decreased by adding 0.10-0.30wt%Si and 0.12wt%Y. The addition of 0. 10-0.20wt%Si and 0.12wt%Y has no obvious influence on the tensile properties of alloy IC6 at room temperature (R. 6STRESS RELAXATION AND RELIABILITY EVALUATION OF SODA-LIME GLASS显示文摘Stress relaxation of glass is a dualism effect, it often lead to strength degradation in strengthened glass, but on the other hand, it improves the reliability and stressuniformity of glasses. In this work, stress relaxation of soda-lime glass was investigated using three-point bending tests at 400-560℃ which is near the brittle to ductile transition temperature, for enhancing the safety of glass productions and exploring the most economic anneal process. The experimental results show that the speed of stress relaxation increases but the ultimate stress decreases with increasing temperature. The stress uniformity of the glass samples before and after anneal was examined using spherical indentation at arranged testing points. It indicates that the scatter of the local strength measured by the Hertzian indentation is smaller in the anneal glass than in initial specimen, so that the estimated Weibull modulus for the anneal specimen is higher.
