2Waste to wealth: Oxygen-nitrogen-sulfur codoped lignin-derived carbon microspheres from hazardous black liquors for high-performance DSSCs显示文摘Carbon materials are effective substitutes for Pt counter electrodes(CEs) in dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs). However, many of these materials, such as carbon nanotubes and graphene, are expensive and require complex preparation process. Herein, waste lignin, recycled from hazardous black liquors,is used to create oxygen-nitrogen-sulfur codoped carbon microspheres for use in DSSC CEs through the facile process of low-temperature preoxidation and high-temperature self-activation. The large number of ester bonds formed by preoxidation increase the degree of cross-linking of the lignin chains, leading to the formation of highly disordered carbon with ample defect sites during pyrolysis. The presence of organic O/N/S components in the waste lignin results in high O/N/S doping of the pyrolysed carbon,which increases the electrolyte ion adsorption and accelerates the electron transfer at the CE/electrolyte interface, as confirmed by density functional theory(DFT) calculations. The presence of inorganic impurities enables the construction of a hierarchical micropore-rich carbon structure through the etching effect during self-activation, which can provide abundant catalytically active sites for the reversible adsorption/desorption of electrolyte ions. Under these synergistic effects, the DSSCs that use this novel carbon CE achieve a quite high power-conversion efficiency of 9.22%. 3Mechanistic Insights into the Catalytic Cracking of Cyclohexane显示文摘Although naphthenes have long been identified as important feedstock components for the production of light olefins and aromatics in fluid catalytic cracking units,their cacking mechanism and microscopic reaction networks,such as activation modes,ring-opening paths,and the production of aromatics,remain debated.In this context,we reported experimental and computational work aimed at elucidating the reaction network of naphthenes in fluid catalytic cracking using cyclohexane as the model naphthene.First,the main reactions for the formation of highly selective and value-added products such as light olefins and aromatics were discussed.Then,the proportions of cyclohexane activation via(i)the non-classical carbonium mechanism and(ii)the classical carbenium mechanism were analyzed by data fitting methods,which revealed that around 32.6%of cyclohexane was initiated by path(i),and the remaining naphthene was activated by path(ii).Moreover,our DFT results showed that the ring opening of cyclohexane through pathway(i)was more difficult than that through path(ii),and ring opening followed by the ring contraction of cyclohexane carbenium ions was the most energetically favorable route among the different ring-opening ways.Chen Hui Yan Jiasong Su Youyou Wei Xueer Li Rui Wang Peng Yu Shanqing Dai Zhenyu 2022China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2022,24,4:0
4Bimetallic clusters confined inside silicalite-1 for stable propane dehydrogenation显示文摘The noble metal-based bimetallic clusters with high atom utilization and surface energy have been widely applied in heterogeneous catalysis,but the stabilization of these metastable clusters in harsh reaction conditions is quite challenging.Herein,we synthesize a series of Pt-,Pd-,and Ru-based clusters promoted by a second non-noble metal(Zn,Cu,Sn,and Fe),which are confined inside silicalite-1(pure silica,S-1)crystals by a ligand-protected method.The second metal could well stabilize and disperse the noble atoms inside the rigid S-1 zeolites via Si–O–M bonds,thus enabling to lower the usage of expensive noble metals in catalysts.The as-synthesized bimetallic catalysts exhibited excellent performance in non-oxidative propane dehydrogenation(PDH)reaction,which is typically operated above 500℃.The PtZn@S-1,PtCu@S-1,and PtSn@S-1 with only a~0.17 wt.%Pt loading offer a significant enhancement in PDH performance compared with the conventional PtSn/Al_(2)O_(3)catalyst with a 0.5 wt.%Pt loading prepared by impregnation method.Notably,the PtSn@S-1 provides a propane conversion of 45%with a 99%propylene selectivity at 550℃,close to the thermodynamic equilibrium.Furthermore,the PtSn@S-1 exhibits excellent stability during 300 h on stream and high tolerance to regeneration by a simple calcination step.Xueer Wei Jiawei Cheng Yubing Li Kang Cheng Fanfei Sun Qinghong Zhang Ye Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0
5Benefits of tributyrin on growth performance,gastrointestinal tract development,ruminal bacteria and volatile fatty acid formation of weaned Small-Tailed Han lambs显示文摘This study aimed to determine the effects of tributyrin on growth performance,gastrointestinal tract development,ruminal bacteria and volatile fatty acid(VFA)formation.Thirty healthy weaned SmallTailed Han female lambs at 3 months old with BW 27.5±4.1 kg(mean±SD)were randomly assigned to five groups of six lambs each,and each group received tributyrin at 0,0.5,1.0,2.0 and 4.0 g/kg in feed.Weights were measured before the start and end of the study.After 15 d adaptation,DMI,feed,faeces and urine were recorded every week.Lambs were sacrificed at d 75.Compared to lambs fed no tributyrin,lambs fed 4.0 g/kg tributyrin had higher average daily BW gain(P=0.04)and DMI(P<0.01).Tributyrin reduced nitrogen(P<0.01),Ca(P<0.01)and P(P<0.01)losses derived from faeces and urine.The mostly important,tributyrin increased dorsal sac thickness(P<0.01),papillae length(P=0.04)and width(P<0.01),ventral sac papillae length(P<0.01)and width(P<0.01),caudodorsal blind sac thickness(P=0.02),papillae length(P<0.01)and width(P<0.01).Furthermore,tributyrin increased thicknesses of both the duodenum(P<0.01)and ileum(P=0.01),and villus heights of the duodenum(P=0.01),ileum(P<0.01),jejunum(P<0.01)and caecum(P=0.02),but tributyrin decreased duodenal(P<0.01)and caecal crypt depths(P<0.01).Tributyrin reduced rumen pH(P<0.01)while promoting total VFA concentration(P<0.01).Tributyrin improved the structure of rumen bacteria by enhancing Clostridium(P=0.04),Butyrivibrio(P<0.01),Streptococcus(P=0.04),Prevotella(P=0.04),Ruminobacter(P=0.02)and Fibrobacter(P=0.03).In conclusion,tributyrin could stimulate gastrointestinal tract development by enhancing colonization of rumen VFA-producing bacteria,and dietary supplementation of tributyrin at 4.0 g/kg of DM was recommended for the weaned lambs.Zhiwei Li Xueer Wang Wei Wang Ran An Yaxin Wang Qingchang Ren Jingjing Xuan 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,4:0
