| 1 | Ms8.0汶川地震产生的应力变化空间分布及其对地震活动性的影响显示文摘采用已公布的5个震源破裂模型,计算了Ms8.0汶川地震产生的库仑破裂应力变化,分析了应力变化与后续地震活动空间分布的相关性.以震源模型引起的不确定性分析为基础,研究了汶川地震在周边断裂上引起的库仑应力变化,并重点探讨了应力变化引起的地震活动性随时间的相对变化趋势.结果表明,以Ji模型和王卫民模型计算出的应力变化空间分布较好地与后续地震活动的空间分布相对应.最大的应力减小区主要分布于震源断层的东西两侧,最大的应力增加区分布于震源断层面以及断层面南北两个端部的邻近区域,此外还有一个北西-南东向的显著增加区位于主震断层面南段附近的汶川-映秀一带,该区域已发生了较多的余震活动,且地震活动呈现继续扩散的趋势,是未来地震危险性较高的地区.汶川地震引起了周边多数断裂不同程度的地震活动性增强,活动性增强最显著的是彭县-灌县断裂和青川断裂,未来100年内都维持在震前的2倍以上,地震活动恢复至背景水平所需的时间基本都达到800~900年;西秦岭南缘断裂、龙泉山断裂、鲜水河断裂、玉龙希断裂、安宁河断裂、岷江断裂和阿坝断裂的地震活动性受汶川地震的影响较小,震后地震活动率与震前相比不足2倍,并且扰动恢复时间较短.因抚边河断裂和虎牙断裂处于应力减小区域,未来地震活动性可能会减弱.受到汶川地震产生的应力变化影响,青川断裂和彭县-灌县断裂的未来发震危险性较高. | 解朝娣 朱元清 Xinglin LEI 于海英 虎雄林 | 2010 | 中国科学:地球科学2010,40,6: | 48 |
| 2 | Directional hydraulic fracturing to control hard-roof rockburst in coal mines显示文摘Hard roof is the main factor that induces rock-burst.In view of the present obvious weakness of control measures for hard roof rockburst in domestic collieries,the mechanism and field application of directional hydraulic fracturing technology for rock-burst prevention have been investigated in this paper using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.The results show that the weighting span of the main roof and the released kinetic energy as well as the total elastic energy decreased greatly after the directional fracturing of hard roof with the mining progression,thereby reducing the rockburst hazard degree to coal body.The directional hydraulic fracturing technology was carried out in 6305 working face of Jisan Coal Mine to prevent rockburst.Field practices have proved that this technology is much simpler and safer to operate with better prevention effect compared with blasting.By optimizing the operation procedures and developing a new technology of automated high-pressure delivery pipe,the maximum fracturing radius now reaches more than 9 m and the borehole depth exceeds 20 m.Additionally,drilling cutting method was applied to monitor the stress of the coal mass before and after the fracturing,and the drill cuttings dropped significantly which indicates that the burst prevention effect of directional hydraulic fracturing technology is very remarkable.The research results of this paper have laid a theoretical and practical foundation for the widespread application of the directional hydraulic fracturing technology in China. | Fan Jun Dou Linming He Hu Du Taotao Zhang Shibin Gui Bing Sun Xinglin | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2: | 28 |
| 3 | Growing seismicity in the Sichuan Basin and its association with industrial activities显示文摘In the Sichuan Basin,seismic activity has been low historically,but in the past few decades,a series of moderate to strong earthquakes have occurred.Especially since 2015,earthquake activity has seen an unprecedented continuous growth trend,and the magnitude of events is increasing.Following the M5.7 Xingwen earthquake on 18 Dec.2018,which was suggested to be induced by shale gas hydraulic fracturing,a swarm of earthquakes with a maximum magnitude up to M6.0 struck Changning and the surrounding counties.Questions arose about the possible involvement of industrial actions in these destructive events.In fact,underground fluid injection in salt mine fields has been occurring in the Sichuan Basin for more than70 years.Disposal of wastewater in natural gas fields has also continued for about 40 years.Since 2008,injection for shale gas development in the southern Sichuan Basin has increased rapidly.The possible link between the increasing seismicity and increasing injection activity is an important issue.Although surrounded by seismically active zones to the southwest and northwest,the Sichuan Basin is a rather stable region with a wide range of geological settings.First,we present a brief review of earthquakes of magnitude 5 or higher since 1600 to obtain the long-term event rate and explore the possible link between the rapidly increasing trend of seismic activity and industrial injection activities in recent decades.Second,based on a review of previous research results,combined with the latest data,we describe a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics and occurrence conditions of natural and injection-induced major seismic clusters in the Sichuan Basin since 1700.Finally,we list some conclusions and insights,which provide a better understanding of why damaging events occur so that they can either be avoided or mitigated,point out scientific questions that need urgent research,and propose a general framework based on geomechanics for assessment and management of earthquake-related risks. | Xinglin LEI Jinrong SU Zhiwei WANG | 2020 | Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,11: | 27 |
| 4 | Possible link between long-term and short-term water injections and earthquakes in salt mine and shale gas site in Changning,south Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘Late at night on 17 June 2019,a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Shuanghe Town and its surrounding area in Changning County,Sichuan,China,becoming the largest earthquake recorded within the southern Sichuan Basin.A series of earthquakes with magnitudes up to 5.6 occurred during a short period after the mainshock,and we thus refer to these earthquakes as the Changning M6 earthquake sequence(or swarm).The mainshock was located very close to a salt mine,into which for^3 decades fresh water had been extensively injected through several wells at a depth of 2.7–3 km.It was also near(within^15 km)the epicenter of the 18 December 2018 M5.7 Xingwen earthquake,which is thought to have been induced by shale gas hydraulic fracturing(HF),prompting questions about the possible involvement of industrial activities in the M6 sequence.Following previous studies,this paper focuses on the relationship between injection and seismicity in the Shuanghe salt field and its adjacent Shangluo shale gas block.Except for a period of serious water loss after the start of cross-well injection in 2005–2006,the frequency of earthquakes shows a slightly increasing tendency.Overall,there is a good correlation between the event rate in the Shuanghe area and the loss of injected water.More than 400 M≥3 earthquakes,including 40 M≥4 and 5 M≥5 events,had been observed by the end of August 2019.Meanwhile,in the Shangluo area,seismicity has increased during drilling and HF operations(mostly in vertical wells)since about 2009,and dramatically since the end of 2014,coincident with the start of systematic HF in the area.The event rate shows a progressively increasing background with some fluctuations,paralleling the increase in HF operations.More than 700 M≥3 earthquakes,including 10 M≥4 and 3 M≥5 in spatially and temporally clustered seismic events,are correlated closely with active fracturing platforms.Well-resolved centroid moment tensor results for M≥4 earthquakes were shown to occur at very shallow depths around shale formations with active HF,in agreement with some of the clusters,which occurred within the coverage area of temporary or new permanent monitoring stations and thus have been precisely located.After the Xingwen M5.7 earthquake,seismic activity in the salt well area increased significantly.The Xingwen earthquake may have created a unidirectional rupture to the NNW,with an end point close to the NW-trending fault of the Shuanghe earthquake.Thus,a fault in the Changning anticline might have terminated the fault rupture of the Xingwen earthquake,possibly giving the Xingwen earthquake a role in promoting the Changning M6 event. | XingLin Lei ZhiWei Wang JinRong Su | 2019 | Earth and Planetary Physics2019,3,6: | 24 |

| 6 | Pattern of stress change and its effect on seismicity rate caused by M_s8.0 Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘We use five published source models to calculate the Coulomb failure stress changes induced by the Ms8.0 Wenchuan earthquake, and analyze the association between stress changes and the subsequent earthquakes. Based on the analysis of uncertainties resulting from source models, we determine the stress changes on nearby faults caused by the Wenchuan earthquake. Moreover, we focus on the seismicity rate change as a function of time on every fault under the influence of stress changes. The results indicate that the spatial distributions of aftershocks correlate well with the regions where stress is calculated to increase using the related models. The largest lobes of dropped stress lie in the west and east sides of source fault. The largest lobes of increased failure stress close to southern and northern ends of the source fault extend into the whole source failure plane. In addition, another region of increased stress lies in the Wenchuan-Yingxiu zone close to the southern segment of source fault, where a large number of aftershocks have occurred. And subsequent earthquakes seem to extend to even more remote distances; therefore, this area also has a high risk of seismic hazard. We find that the positive stress changes on nearby faults imposed by the Wenchuan earthquake produce an encouraging effect on seismicity rate. The effect is most significant on the Pengxian-Guanxian fault and Qingchuan fault, the value of seismicity rate maintains two times greater than the value before the mainshock for the next hundred years on these faults, and the time needed for the aftershock rate to recover to the pre-mainshock seismicity rate can reach up to 800-900 yr. The influence is not significant on the western Qinling fault, the Longquanshan fault, the Xianshuihe fault, the Yulongxi fault, the Anninghe fault, the Minjiang fault, and the Aba fault. Compared with the seismicity rate on these faults before the mainshock, the aftershock rate is raised by less than two times, and the time of perturbation duration is not long. The stress changes on the Fubianhe fault and Huya fault are negative, which reduce the seismicity for the next thousand years. | 11 | Numerical simulation of aerodynamic interaction for a tilt rotor aircraft in helicopter mode显示文摘A rotor CFD solver is developed for simulating the aerodynamic interaction phenomenon among rotor, wing and fuselage of a tilt rotor aircraft in its helicopter mode. The unsteady Navier–Stokes equations are discretized in inertial frame and embedded grid system is adopted for describing the relative motion among blades and nacelle/wing/fuselage. A combination of multi-layer embedded grid and ‘‘extended hole fringe' technique is complemented in original grid system to tackle grid assembly difficulties arising from the narrow space among different aerodynamic components, and to improve the interpolation precision by decreasing the cell volume discrepancy among different grid blocks. An overall donor cell searching and automatic hole cutting technique is used for grid assembly, and the solution processes are speeded up by introduction of Open MP parallel method. From an institutional perspective, this study scrutinizes the structure,elements, and dynamics of the governance system of infrastructure mega-projects and then proposes an integrative framework based on the inductive case study of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge mega-project. Multiple evidences of archives, field studies, and interviews related to the case project are triangulated to further analyze the institutional effects, specifically those with government logics and market structures, on the design and operation of the three-level governance system. Results reveal that the co-evolution between governments and markets in China has shaped the vertical levels of the mega-project governance system and has further affected their evolution and operation across various stages of project development. | 17 | A laboratory acoustic emission experiment and numerical simulation of rock fracture driven by a high-pressure fluid source显示文摘In order to improve our understanding of rock fracture and fault instability driven by high-pressure fluid sources, the authors carried out rock fracture tests using granite under a confining pressure of 80 MPa with fluid injection in the laboratory. Furthermore, we tested a number of numerical models using the FLAC^(3D) modeling software to find the best model to represent the experimental results. The high-speed multichannel acoustic emission(AE) waveform recording system used in this study made it possible to examine the total fracture process through detailed monitoring of AE hypocenters and seismic velocity.The experimental results show that injecting high-pressure oil into the rock sample can induce AE activity at very low stress levels and can dramatically reduce the strength of the rock. The results of the numerical simulations show that major experimental results, including the strength, the temporal and spatial patterns of the AE events, and the role of the fluid can be represented fairly well by a model involving(1) randomly distributed defect elements to model pre-existing cracks,(2) random modification of rock properties to represent inhomogeneity introduced by different mineral grains, and(3)macroscopic inhomogeneity. | 18 | Chiral plasmonics and enhanced chiral light-matter interactions显示文摘Chirality, which describes the broken mirror symmetry in geometric structures, exists macroscopically in our daily life as well as microscopically down to molecular levels. Correspondingly, chiral molecules interact differently with circularly polarized light exhibiting opposite handedness(left-handed and right-handed). However, the interaction between chiral molecules and chiral light is very weak. In contrast, artificial chiral plasmonic structures can generate 'super-chiral' plasmonic near-field, leading to enhanced chiral light-matter(or chiroptical) interactions. The 'super-chiral' near-field presents different amplitude and phase under opposite handedness incidence, which can be utilized to engineer linear and nonlinear chiroptical interactions. Specifically,in the interaction between quantum emitters and chiral plasmonic structures, the chiral hot spots can favour the emission with a specific handedness. This article reviews the state-of-the-art research on the design, fabrication and chiroptical response of different chiral plasmonic nanostructures or metasurfaces. This review also discusses enhanced chiral light-matter interactions that are essential for applications like chirality sensing, chiral selective light emitting and harvesting. | 20 | KEY TECHNOLOGY OF D-INSAR AT X-BAND FOR MONITORING LAND SUBSIDENCE IN MINING AREA AND ITS APPLICATION显示文摘In theory, land subsidence measurement results with high accuracy can be obtained by using the Differential Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar(D-InSAR) at X-band. In practice, however, the measuring accuracy of D-InSAR at X-band has been seriously affected by some factors, e.g., decorrelation and high deformation gradient. In this work, the monitoring capability of D-InSAR for coal-mining subsidence is evaluated by using SAR data acquired by TerrraSAR-X system. The SAR image registration method for low coherence image pairs, the denoising phase filter for high noise level interferogram and atmospheric effects mitigation method are the key technical aspects which directly influence the measurement results of D-InSAR at X-band. Thus, a robust image registration method, an improved phase filter method and an atmospheric effects mitigation method are proposed in this paper. The proposed image registration method successfully achieves InSAR coregistration, while the amplitude cross-correlation cannot properly coregister low coherence SAR image pairs. Moreover, the time complexity of the proposed image registration method is obviously slighter than that of the Singular Value Decomposition(SVD) method. The comparing experiment results and the unwrapping phase results show that the improved Goldstein filter is more effective than the original Goldstein filter in noise elimination. The atmospheric influence correction experiment results show that the land subsidence areas with atmospheric influence correction are more clarified than that of without atmospheric influence correction.
