1Regional Δ~14C patterns and fossil fuel derived CO_2 distribution in the Beijing area using annual plants显示文摘The level of atmosphericΔ14C and the fossil fuel derived CO 2 concentration in the Beijing area from May to September,2009, were systematically analyzed based on radiocarbon(14C)measurements of annual plants by accelerator mass spectrometry(AMS). The results show that the maximumΔ14C in Beijing was 29.6‰±2.2‰,and the minimum was–28.2‰±2.5‰,with a trend of decreasingΔ14C from the outer suburbs to inner suburbs to the urban center.This trend correlates well with increases in fossil fuel derived CO2 caused by human activities such as population density,industrial emissions and traffic,with lower values of atmosphericΔ14C associated with more intensive human activities.The fossil fuel derived CO 2 concentrations from May to September, 2009,ranged from 3.9±1.0 ppm to 25.4±1.0 ppm.It was calculated that each additional 1 ppm of CO2 from fossil fuels depleted the atmosphericΔ14C by approximately 2.70‰.This study suggests that 14C measurements of annual plants by AMS provide an effective method to rapidly trace fossil fuel derived CO2.XI XianTing DING XingFang FU DongPo ZHOU LiPing LIU KeXin 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,16:7
2Multi-objective regulation in autohydrolysis process of corn stover by liquid hot water pretreatment显示文摘Increasing reducing sugars(xylose and glucose) yield for bioethanol from corn stover depends strongly on optimization of pretreatment conditions. The optimum reaction conditions of two-stage liquid hot water(LHW) pretreatment based on total sugars yield were investigated. Under optimal conditions, the recovery of glucose of corn stover after two-stage LHW pretreatment and 72 h enzymatic digestion, reached 89.55%. In addition, acetic acid-rich spent liquor pretreatment and one-stage LHW pretreatment have been carried out to make comparisons with two-stage LHW treatment. Glucose yield 89.55% is superior to the recovery 83.38% using acetic acidrich spent liquor pretreatment or 80.58% using one-stage LHW pretreatment. The production of total sugars was increased by 7.8% when compared with one-stage pretreatment. Moreover, the structural features of the treated corn stover solid residues were also investigated by XRD and SEM technology in order to clarify the effects of the reaction on corn stover. 3Carbon isotopic composition and its implications on paleoclimate of the underground ancient forest ecosystem in Sihui,Guangdong显示文摘We present the carbon isotopic composition of the total organic carbon(TOC) and fine roots in the sedimentary profile from the underground ancient forest in Sihui to study the climatic and environmental changes from 4.5 ka BP to 0.6 ka BP.Results show that C3 plant was the main vegetation from 4.5 ka BP to 0.6 ka BP in this region.The ancient forest began to develop in the wetland at around 4 ka BP and disappeared together with the wetland at about 3.0 ka BP,implying that the climate had changed greatly at around 3.0 ka BP.As indicated by the simulation results,the content of atmospheric CO2 increased slightly during 3.5 ka BP and 3.0 ka BP,implying climate warming during that period.The interval of radiocarbon age between 3.0 ka BP and 1.2 ka BP was possibly caused by the strong erosion when the block was lifted in the neotectonic movement.From 1.2 ka BP to 0.6 ka BP,the region remained in terrestrial sedimentary environment,and the surface plant biomass declined gradually.Drought caused by the climate change was the likely cause for the disappearance of the ancient forest.South transition of Intertropical Convergence Zone(ITCZ) was probably the main mechanism for the climate change.Ping Ding ChengDe Shen Ning Wang WeiXi Yi KeXin Liu XingFang Ding DongPo Fu 2009Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,5:4
4Carbon isotopic composition,turnover and origins of soil CO_2 in a monsoon evergreen broadleaf forest in the Dinghushan Biosphere Reservoir,South China显示文摘Carbon isotopic compositions of soil CO2 in rainy season (July) from two natural soil profiles (DHLS & DHS) in the monsoon evergreen broadleaf forest in the Dinghushan Biosphere Reservoir (DBR),South China,are presented.Turnover and origins of soil CO2 are preliminarily discussed in this paper.Results show that the content of soil CO2 varies between 6120 and 18718 ppmv,and increases with increasing depth until 75 cm,and then it declines.In DHLS,soil CO2 δ 13C ranges from -24.71‰ to -24.03‰,showing a significant inverse correlation (R2=0.91) with the soil CO2 content in the same layer.According to a model related to soil CO2 δ 13C,the soil CO2 is mainly derived from the root respiration (>80%) in DHLS.While in DHS,where soil CO2 δ 13C ranges from -25.19‰ to -22.82‰,soil CO2 is primarily originated from the decomposition of organic matter (51%–94%),excluding the surface layer (20 cm,90%).Radiocarbon data suggest that the carbon in soil CO2 is modern carbon in both DHLS and DHS.Differences in 14C ages between the 'oldest' and 'youngest' soil CO2 in DHLS and DHS are 8 months and 14 months,respectively,indicating that soil CO2 in DHLS has a faster turnover rate than that in DHS.The Δ14C values of soil CO2,which range between 100.0‰ and 107.2‰ and between 102.5‰ and 112.1‰ in DHLS and DHS,respectively,are obviously higher than those of current atmospheric CO2 and SOC in the same layer,suggesting that soil CO2 is likely an important reservoir for Bomb-14C in the atmosphere.DING Ping SHEN ChengDe WANG Ning YI WeiXi DING XingFang FU DongPo LIU KeXin ZHAO Ping 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,23:4
5Effects of Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii extracts on gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor alpha 1 subunit brain expression during development in a recurrent seizure rat model显示文摘Extracts from Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii (Grassleaf Sweetflag Rhizome,Shichangpu) have been shown to improve learning and memory,reduce anxiety,allay excitement,and suppress seizures.Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii extracts interact with γ-aminobutyric acid and activate the γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor,although few studies have addressed the precise effects of γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor α1 subunit.In the present study,γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor α1 subunit protein expression in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus,and pathological scores of brain injury,were significantly greater following recurrent seizures,but significantly decreased following treatment with Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii extracts.These results indicated that Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii extracts down-regulated γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptor α1 subunit protein expression in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus and protected seizure-induced brain injury during development.Liqun Liu Ding'an Mao Keqiang Chi Xingfang Li Tao Bo Jinming Guo Zhuwen Yi 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,6:4

11Comprehensive study of crystalline AlN/sapphire templates after high-temperature annealing with various sputtering conditions显示文摘High-quality AlN/sapphire templates were fabricated by the combination of sputtering and high-temperature(HT)annealing.The influence of sputtering parameters including nitrogen flux,radio frequency power,and substrate temperature on the crystalline quality and surface morphology of annealed AlN films were investigated.With lower substrate temperature,lower power,and lower N2 flux,the full width at half maximum of the X-ray rocking curve for AlN(0002)and(102)were improved to 97.2 and 259.2 arcsec after high-temperature annealing.This happens because the increased vacancy concentration of sputtered AlN films can facilitate the annihilation of dislocations by increasing the recovery rate during HT annealing.Step and step-bunching morphologies were clearly observed with optimized sputtering conditions.Wen Gu Zhibin Liu Yanan Guo Xiaodong Wang Xiaolong Jia Xingfang Liu Yiping Zeng Junxi Wang Jinmin Li Jianchang Yan 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,12:1

14Genome-wide analysis of expansins and their role in fruit spine development in cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)显示文摘Cucumber is one of the most widely consumed vegetables worldwide,and the fruit spine is an important fruit quality trait.Expansins play critical roles in fruit development;however,the regulation of expansins in cucumber fruit spine development has not been reported.In this study,33 expansin genes were identified in the cucumber genome V3;additionally,expansin genes in Citrullus lanatus,Cucumis melo,Cucurbita maxima,Lagenaria siceraria,and Benincasa hispida were also identified.Phylogenetic analysis of expansin proteins in Cucurbitaceae and Arabidopsis showed that they evolved separately in each plant species.Phylogenetic analysis showed that C.maxima was derived earlier than the other five Cucurbitaceae species.The expression of CsEXPA2,CsEXPA14,and CsEXLA3 varied in cucumber lines with different fruit spine densities.A yeast two-hybrid assay showed that a putative auxin transporter encoded by numerous spine gene(ns)interacts with CsEXLA2,which may be involved in the development of the numerous spines in cucumber.These results provide novel insights into the expansins related to plant development and fruit spine development in cucumber.Xiaoping Liu Shaoyun Dong Han Miao Kailiang Bo Caixia Li Yingying Yang Xingfang Gu Shengping Zhang 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,6:1

16Double Fano resonances in disk-nonconcentric ring plasmonic nanostructures显示文摘The plasmonic properties of gold nanostructures composed of a disk outside a nonconcentric ring are numerically studied by the finite difference time domain(FDTD)method.Simulated results show that two Fano resonances are formed as a result of the coupling of the octupolar and quadrupolar modes of the ring with the dipolar mode of the disk.The reduction in structural symmetry causes a red shift of the Fano resonances and distinct changes in spectral lineshape by offsetting the center of the inner surface of the ring to different directions.The effects of several geometric parameters on the characteristics of Fano resonances are also discussed.In addition,the refractive index(RI)sensitivities for the two Fano resonances can be up to 581 nm/RIU and 780 nm/RIU with the corresponding figure of merits(FOMs)as large as 12.7 and 10.2,respectively.Such properties render the structures useful for potential applications in multi-wavelength sensors.ZHANG Xingfang LIU Fengshou LIANG Lanju YAN Xin 2024Optoelectronics Letters2024,20,1:0
17Natural variation in STAYGREEN contributes to low-temperature tolerance in cucumber显示文摘Low-temperature(LT)stress threatens cucumber production globally;however,the molecular mechanisms underlying LT tolerance in cucumber remain largely unknown.Here,using a genome-wide association study(GWAS),we found a naturally occurring single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)in the STAYGREEN(CsSGR)coding region at the gLTT5.1 locus associated with LT tolerance.Knockout mutants of CsSGR generated by clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated nuclease 9 exhibit enhanced LT tolerance,in particularly,increased chlorophyll(Chl)content and reduced reactive oxygen species(ROS)accumulation in response to LT.Moreover,the C-repeat Binding Factor 1(CsCBF1)transcription factor can directly activate the expression of CsSGR.We demonstrate that the LT-sensitive haplotype CsSGRHapA,but not the LT-tolerant haplotype CsSGR^(HapG)could interact with NON-YELLOW COLORING 1(CsNYC1)to mediate Chl degradation.Geographic distribution of the CsSGR haplotypes indicated that the CsSGR^(HapG)was selected in cucumber accessions from high latitudes,potentially contributing to LT tolerance during cucumber cold-adaptation in these regions.CsSGR mutants also showed enhanced tolerance to salinity,water deficit,and Pseudoperonospora cubensis,thus CsSGR is an elite target gene for breeding cucumber varieties with broad-spectrum stress tolerance.Collectively,our findings provide new insights into LT tolerance and will ultimately facilitate cucumber molecular breeding.Shaoyun Dong Caixia Li Haojie Tian Weiping Wang Xueyong Yang Diane MBeckles Xiaoping Liu Jiantao Guan Xingfang Gu Jiaqiang Sun Han Miao Shengping Zhang 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,12:0

20Labor Cost Analysis for Pome Production in Different Cultivation Modes in Hebei Province显示文摘Taking the traditional fruit pear as the example, this paper analyzes labor cost for pome production in Hebei Province, based on the representative cases and the research of pome production in different cultivation modes. Firstly, it conducts cost analysis for medium-density pome production in Xinji City, focusing on the comparison of the costs for the main production labor in standard thin planting mode and dwarf close planting mode. According to the research results, labor cost has a great influence on the total production cost of pome.
