| 1 | Deposition of FeCoNiCrMn high entropy alloy(HEA) coating via cold spraying显示文摘High entropy alloys(HEAs) are of great interest in the community of materials science and engineering due to their unique phase structure. They are constructed with five or more principal alloying elements in equimolar or near-equimolar ratio. Therefore, HEAs can derive their performance from multiple principal elements rather than a single element. In this work, solid-state cold spraying(CS) was applied for the first time to produce FeCoNiCrMn HEA coating. The experimental results confirm that CS can be used to produce a thick HEA coating with low porosity. As a low-temperature deposition process, CS completely retained the HEA phase structure in the coating without any phase transformation. The characterization also reveals that the grains in the CSed HEA coating had experienced significant refinement as compared to those in the as-received HEA powder due the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization at the highly deformed interparticle region. Due to the increased dislocation density and grain boundaries,CSed HEA coating was much harder than the as-received powder. | 2 | Selective laser melting(SLM)of CX stainless steel:Theoretical calculation,process optimization and strengthening mechanism显示文摘In the present work,selective laser melting(SLM)technology was utilized for manufacturing CX stainless steel samples under a series of laser parameters.The effect of laser linear energy density on the microstructure characteristics,phase distribution,crystallographic orientation and mechanical properties of these CX stainless steel samples were investigated theoretically and experimentally via scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)and transmission electron microscope(TEM).Based on the systematic study,the SLM CX stainless steel sample with best surface roughness(Ra=4.05±1.8μm)and relative density(Rd=99.72%±0.22%)under the optimal linear density(η=245 J/m)can be obtained.SLM CX stainless steel was primarily constituted by a large number of fine martensite(α’phase)structures(i.e.,cell structures,cellular dendrites and blocky grains)and a small quantity of austenite(γphase)structures.The pre ferred crystallographic orientation(i.e.,<111>direction)can be determined in the XZ plane of the SLM CX sample.Furthermore,under the optimal linear energy density,the good combinations with the highest ultimate tensile strength(UTS=1068.0%±5.9%)and the best total elongation(TE=15.70%±0.26%)of the SLM CX sample can be attained.Dislocation strengthening dominates the strengthening mechanism of the SLM CX sample in as-built state. | Dongdong Dong Cheng Chang Hao Wang Xingchen Yan Wenyou Ma Min Liu Sihao Deng Julien Gardan Rodolphe Bolot Hanlin Liao | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,14: | 11 |
| 3 | NAS4RRAM: neural network architecture search for inference on RRAM-based accelerators显示文摘The RRAM-based accelerators enable fast and energy-efficient inference for neural networks.However, there are some requirements to deploy neural networks on RRAM-based accelerators, which are not considered in existing neural networks.(1) Because the noise problem and analog-digital converters/digitalanalog converters(ADC/DAC) affect the prediction accuracy, they should be modeled in networks.(2) Because the weights are mapped to the RRAM cells, they should be quantized, and the number of weights is limited by the number of RRAM cells in the accelerator. These requirements motivate us to customize the hardware-friendly network for the RRAM-based accelerator. We take the idea of network architecture search(NAS) to design networks with high prediction accuracy that meet the requirements. We propose a framework called NAS4RRAM to search for the optimal network on the given RRAM-based accelerator. The experiments demonstrate that NAS4RRAM can apply to different RRAM-based accelerators with different scales. | 5 | Cross-correlation Forecast of CSST Spectroscopic Galaxy and MeerKAT Neutral Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Surveys显示文摘Cross-correlating the data on neutral hydrogen(HⅠ)21 cm intensity mapping with galaxy surveys is an effective method to extract astrophysical and cosmological information.In this work,we investigate the cross-correlation of MeerKAT single-dish mode HⅠintensity mapping and China Space Station Telescope(CSST)spectroscopic galaxy surveys.We simulate a survey area of~300 deg~2 of MeerKAT and CSST surveys at z=0.5 using MultiDark N-body simulation.The PC A algorithm is applied to remove the foregrounds of HⅠintensity mapping,and signal compensation is considered to solve the signal loss problem in HⅠ-galaxy cross power spectrum caused by the foreground removal process.We find that from CSST galaxy auto and MeerKAT-CSST cross power spectra,the constraint accuracy of the parameter productΩ_(HⅠ)b_(HⅠ)r_(HⅠ,g)can reach~1%,which is about one order of magnitude higher than the current results.After performing the full MeerKAT HⅠintensity mapping survey with5000 deg~2 survey area,the accuracy can be enhanced to<0.3%.This implies that the MeerKAT-CSST cross-correlation can be a powerful tool to probe the cosmic HⅠproperty and the evolution of galaxies and the Universe. | Yu-Er Jiang Yan Gong Meng Zhang Qi Xiong Xingchen Zhou Furen Deng Xuelei Chen Yin-Zhe Ma Bin Yue | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,7: | 0 |

| 7 | Photometric Redshift Estimates using Bayesian Neural Networks in the CSST Survey显示文摘Galaxy photometric redshift(photoz)is crucial in cosmological studies,such as weak gravitational lensing and galaxy angular clustering measurements.In this work,we try to extract photoz information and construct its probability distribution function(PDF)using the Bayesian neural networks from both galaxy flux and image data expected to be obtained by the China Space Station Telescope(CSST).The mock galaxy images are generated from the Hubble Space Telescope-Advanced Camera for Surveys(HST-ACS)and COSMOS catalogs,in which the CSST instrumental effects are carefully considered.In addition,the galaxy flux data are measured from galaxy images using aperture photometry.We construct a Bayesian multilayer perceptron(B-MLP)and Bayesian convolutional neural network(B-CNN)to predict photoz along with the PDFs from fluxes and images,respectively.We combine the B-MLP and B-CNN together,and construct a hybrid network and employ the transfer learning techniques to investigate the improvement of including both flux and image data.For galaxy samples with signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)>10 in g or i band,we find the accuracy and outlier fraction of photoz can achieve σ_(NMAD)=0.022 and η=2.35% for the B-MLP using flux data only,and σ_(NMAD)=0.022 and η=1.32% for the B-CNN using image data only.The Bayesian hybrid network can achieve σ_(NMAD)=0.021 and η=1.23%,and utilizing transfer learning technique can improve results to σ_(NMAD)=0.019 and η=1.17%,which can provide the most confident predictions with the lowest average uncertainty. | Xingchen Zhou Yan Gong Xian-Min Meng Xuelei Chen Zhu Chen Wei Du Liping Fu Zhijian Luo | 2022 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2022,22,11: | 0 |
| 8 | Finished surface morphology, microstructure and magnetic properties of selective laser melted Fe-50wt% Ni permalloy显示文摘This work focuses on the structure and magnetic properties of Fe-50wt% Ni permalloy manufactured from the pre-alloyed powder by selective laser melting (SLM). The selective laser melted (SLMed) alloys were characterized by a 3D profilometer,optical microscope, scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, etc. The effects of the volume energy density of laser(LVED) on structure, and magnetic properties with coercivity ( H), remanence ( B), and power losses ( P), were evaluated and discussed systematically. The results show that the relative porosity rate and the surface roughness of the SLMed specimens decreased with the increase in LVED. Only the γ-(FeNi) phase was detected in the X-ray diffraction patterns of the SLMed permalloys fabricated from the different LVEDs. Statistical analysis of optical microscopy images indicated that the grain coarsened at higher LVED. Furthermore, the microstructure of the SLMed parts was a typical columnar structure with an oriented growth of building direction. The highest microhardness reached 198 HV. Besides, the magnetic properties including B, H, and Pof SLMed samples decreased when the LVED ranged from 33.3 to 60.0 J/mm ~3 firstly and then increased while LVED further up to 93.3 J/mm, which is related to the decrease in porosity and the increase in grain size, while the higher residual stress and microcracks presented in the samples manufactured using very high LVED. The observed evolution of magnetic properties and LVED provides a good compromise in terms of reduced porosity and crack formation for the fabrication of SLMed Fe-50 wt% Ni permalloy.
