Research on heart sound identification technology显示文摘In this article, both the basic principles and the experimental methods of identity recognition technology based on heart sounds are addressed.First, the characteristics of heart sounds and the feasibility of heart sounds as a biometric were analyzed.A synthetic model of heart sounds was then developed based on a family of wavelets; Finally, the characteristic parameters of heart sounds were extracted by using the heart sounds linear band frequency cepstra(HS-LBFC)with a specified configuration, and the similarity distance was adopted for heart sound identification. To highlight the difference in two heart sound signals between the time and frequency domains,a construction method of the heart sound wavelet,a calculation method of the parameters of a synthetic model, selection of the characteristic parameters of heart sounds and the corresponding data processing technology were examined. The experimental results showed that the proposed method exhibited excellent performance and practicability. | CHENG XieFeng MA Yong LIU Chen ZHANG XueJun GUO YuFeng | 2012 | Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,2: | 20
Brain Network Analysis of Schizophrenia Based on the Functional Connectivity显示文摘Network analysis based on graph theory has greatly promoted the cognition of the human brain network. A detailed brain network function connection analysis was carried out for the brain of normal human brain and mental illness patients. We studied the Magnetoencephalography(MEG) of 9 normal subjects and9 schizophrenics in left hemisphere temporal lobe and frontal lobe regions. And obtained the dynamic function connectivity matrix by calculating Pearson correlation coefficients that based on sliding time window and shorttime Fourier transform, and constructed weight and binary network by graph theory. Analyzed the small world properties of normal human brain networks, and compared the differences of network between normal subjects and patients with schizophrenia. | ZHANG Xuejun WANG Longqiang DING Yuhan HUANG Liya CHENG Xiefeng | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2019,28,3: | 3

CGG repeat expansion in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 typically presents as oculopharyngodistal myopathy显示文摘CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 have recently been identified as a cause of oculopharyngeal myopathy with leukoencephalopathy. However, since only three patients from a single family were reported,it remains unknown whether their clinicopathological features are typical for CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1.Here,using repeat-primed-polymerase chain reaction and long-read sequencing,we identify 12 individuals from 3 unrelated families with CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1,typically presenting with oculopharyngodistal myopathy. The CGG repeat expansions range from 161 to 669 repeat units. Most of the patients present with ptosis, restricted eye movements, dysphagia, dysarthria, and diffuse limb muscle weakness.Only one patient shows T2-weighted hyperintensity in the cerebellar white matter surrounding the deep cerebellar nuclei on brain magnetic resonance imaging.Muscle biopsies from three patients show a myopathic pattern and rimmed vacuoles.Analyses of muscle biopsies suggest that CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 may deleteriously affect aggrephagic capacity, suggesting that RNA toxicity and mitochondrial dysfunction may contribute to pathogenesis. Our study thus expands the phenotypic spectrum for the CGG repeat expansion of LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 and indicates that this genetic variant typically manifests as oculopharyngodistal myopathy with chronic myopathic changes with rimmed vacuoles and filamentous intranuclear inclusions in muscle fibers. | Yan Shi Chunyan Cao Yiheng Zeng Yuanliang Ding Long Chen Fuze Zheng Xuejiao Chen Fanggui Zhou Xiefeng Yang Jinjing Li Liuqing Xu Guorong Xu Minting Lin Hiroyuki Ishiura Shoji Tsuji Ning Wang Zhiqiang Wang Wan-Jin Chen Kang Yang | 2024 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2024,51,2: | 0
Registering multiple range images based on distance metric of surface-to-surface显示文摘In most conventional algorithms of registering multiple range images, the pose parameters are estimated by using the distance sum between closest point pairs as the objective function. These algorithms have the problems of inexact point correspondence, registration accuracy, and sensitivity to initial registration parameters. Due to the scanner settings, scanner distance, and surface slopes, two or more 3D data sets are unlikely to be acquired such that the 3D data points exactly correspond, and also each point in the data set may represent different surface areas. This paper proposes a novel registration algorithm based on a distance metric of surface-to-surface. The algorithm uses triangle meshes to represent the surfaces. Based on surface sampling and the point-to-surface distances, the integration calculation of the mean distance between surfaces is derived and reduced to a simple formula. The method was tested on synthetic and real range images. | ZHANGHongbin XIEFeng | 2005 | Science in China(Series F)2005,48,2: | 0
HSP90B1-mediated plasma membrane localization of GLUT1 promotes radioresistance of glioblastomas显示文摘Ionizing radiation is a popular and effective treatment option for glioblastoma(GBM).However, resistance to radiation therapy inevitably occurs during treatment. It is urgent to investigate the mechanisms of radioresistance in GBM and to find ways to improve radiosensitivity. Here,we found that heat shock protein 90 beta family member 1(HSP90B1)was significantly upregulated in radioresistant GBM cell lines.More importantly,HSP90B1 promoted the localization of glucose transporter type 1,a key rate-limiting factor of glycolysis,on the plasma membrane, which in turn enhanced glycolytic activity and subsequently tumor growth and radioresistance of GBM cells. These findings imply that targeting HSP90B1 may effectively improve the efficacy of radiotherapy for GBM patients,a potential new approach to the treatment of glioblastoma. | Yanhui Li Yuqian Ge Mengjie Zhao Fangshu Ding Xiuxing Wang Zhumei Shi Xin Ge Xiefeng Wang Xu Qian | 2023 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2023,37,5: | 0
Root production, mortality and turnover in soil profiles as affected by clipping in a temperate grassland on the Loess Plateau显示文摘Aims Clipping or mowing for hay,as a prevalent land-use practice,is considered to be an important component of global change.Root production and turnover in response to clipping have great implications for the plant survival strategy and grassland ecosystem carbon processes. However, our knowledge about the clipping effect on root dynamics is mainly based on root living biomass, and limited by the lack of spatial and temporal observations. The study aim was to investigate the effect of clipping on seasonal variations in root length production and mortality and their distribution patterns in different soil layers in semiarid grassland on the Loess Plateau. Methods Clipping was performed once a year in June to mimic the local spring livestock grazing beginning from 2014.The minirhizotron technique was used to monitor the root production, mortality and turnover rate at various soil depths(0–10,10–20,20–30 and 30–50 cm)in 2014(from 30 May to 29 October)and 2015(from 22 April to 25 October).Soil temperature and moisture in different soil layers were also measured during the study period.Important Findings Our results showed that:(i)Clipping significantly decreased the cumulative root production(P<0.05)and increased the cumulative root mortality and turnover rates of the 0–50 cm soil profile for both years.(ii)Clipping induced an immediate and sharp decrease in root length production and an increase in root length mortality in all soil layers. However, with plant regrowth, root production increased and root mortality decreased gradually, with the root production at a depth of 30–50 cm even exceeding the control in September–October 2014 and April–May 2015.(iii)Clipping mainly reduced root length production and increased root length mortality in the upper 0–20 cm soil profile with rapid root turnover. However, roots at deeper soil layers were either little influenced by clipping or exhibited an opposite trend with slower turnover rate compared with the upper soil profile, leading to the downward transport of root production and living root biomass. These findings indicate that roots in deeper soil layers tend to favour higher root biomass and longer fine root life spans to maximize the water absorption efficiency under environmental stress, and also suggest that short-term clipping would reduce the amount of carbon through fine root litter into the soil, especially in the shallow soil profile. | Lin Wei Pengwei Yao Guanghua Jing Xiefeng Ye Jimin Cheng | 2019 | Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,6: | 0
Nutrient uptake, physiological responses and growth of tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.)in soil under composite salt stress显示文摘High soil salinity imposes osmotic stress and ion toxicity in plants, leading to substantial crop yield loss worldwide.Understanding of the quantitative and dynamic physiological responses to composite soil salt stress is limited and needs to be expanded. In this study, physiological, nutritional, and biomass yield parameters of tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.)grown in soil with five levels of composite soil salinity(CSS),basal CSS level(control,CK)and 3(T_(1)),6(T_(2)),9(T_(3)),and 12(T_(4))times the basal CSS level, under greenhouse were determined at days 30,60,and 90 after transplanting.Leaf dry biomass significantly(P<0.05)increased at the low salinity levels applied(T_(1) and T_(2))at all three time points, whereas it progressively declined as the CSS level further increased. The leaf physiological and photosynthetic responses were more adversely affected by CSS at the early growth stage(day 30).A path coefficient analysis demonstrated that leaf proline content had the largest direct effect(-0.66),and leaf Cu content had the most significant indirect effect(0.49)on leaf dry biomass of plants. The results suggest that lower CSS levels(T_(1) and T_(2))could stimulate tobacco growth(leaf biomass yield,in particular),and higher leaf proline and Cu levels at the early growth stage may potentially increase the ability of tobacco plants to withstand the adverse effects of salinity, which could be considered for future research and development of salinity management strategies. | Jian CUI Dongrui YAO Jing MA Xiefeng YE Ying PENG Jiaqian SONG Jinfeng LI Yajun CHANG John YANG Zhen ZHANG Xueli LI Xiaojing LIU Khalil KARIMAN | 2022 | Pedosphere2022,32,6: | 0
