1Comparison of the short-term and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic hysterectomies and of abdominal hysterectomies: a case study of 4,895 patients in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China显示文摘Background: To evaluate the short-term and long-term outcomes after laparoscopic hysterectomy(LH) compared with abdominal hysterectomy(AH) in case of benign gynecological disease. Methods: A multi-center cohort retrospective comparative study of population among 4,895 hysterectomies(3,539 LH vs.1,356 AH) between 2007 and 2013 was involved. Operative time(OT), estimated blood loss(EBL), intra-operative and post-operative complications, passing flatus; days with indwelling catheter, questionnaires covering pelvic floor functions and sexual functions were assessed.Results: The EBL(174.1±157.4 vs. 263.1±183.2 cc, LH and AH groups, respectively), passing flatus(38.7±14.1 vs. 48.1±13.2 hours), days with indwelling catheter(1.5±0.6 vs. 2.2±0.8 days), use of analgesics(6.5% vs. 73.1%), intra-operative complication rate(2.4% vs. 4.1%), post-operative complication rate(2.3% vs. 5.7%), post-operative constipation(12.1% vs. 24.6%), mild and serious stress urinary incontinence(SUI) post-operative(P<0.001; P=0.014), and proportion of Female Sexual Functioning Index(FSFI) total score <26.55 post-operative(P<0.001) of the LH group were significantly less than those of AH group. There wereno significant differences in OT(106.5±34.5 vs. 106.2±40.3 min) between the two groups.Conclusions: LH is a safe and efficient operation for improving patients' long-term quality of life(Qo L), and LH is a cost-effectiveness procedure for treating benign gynecological disease. 2EjBZR1 represses fruit enlargement by binding to the EjCYP90 promoter in loquat显示文摘Loquat(Eriobotrya japonica)is a subtropical tree that bears fruit that ripens during late spring.Fruit size is one of the dominant factors inhibiting the large-scale production of this fruit crop.To date,little is known about fruit size regulation.In this study,we first discovered that cell size is more important to fruit size than cell number in loquat and that the expression of the EjBZR1 gene is negatively correlated with cell and fruit size.Virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS)of EjBZR1 led to larger cells and fruits in loquat,while its overexpression reduced cell and plant size in Arabidopsis.Moreover,both the suppression and overexpression of EjBZR1 inhibited the expression of brassinosteroid(BR)biosynthesis genes,especially that of EjCYP90A.Further experiments indicated that EjCYP90A,a cytochrome P450 gene,is a fruit growth activator,while EjBZR1 binds to the BRRE(CGTGTG)motif of the EjCYP90A promoter to repress its expression and fruit cell enlargement.Overall,our results demonstrate a possible pathway by which EjBZR1 directly targets EjCYP90A and thereby affects BR biosynthesis,which influences cell expansion and,consequently,fruit size.These findings help to elucidate the molecular functions of BZR1 in fruit growth and thus highlight a useful genetic improvement that can lead to increased crop yields by repressing gene expression.Wenbing Su Zikun Shao Man Wang Xiaoqing Gan Xianghui Yang Shunquan Lin 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2

5Diagnosis of sewer pipe defects on image recognition of multi-features and support vector machine in a southern Chinese city显示文摘Closed circuit television(CCTV)systems are widely used to inspect sewer pipe conditions.During the diagnosis process,the manual diagnosis of defects is time consuming,labor intensive and error prone.To assist inspectors in diagnosing sewer pipe defects on CCTV inspection images,this paper presents an image recognition algorithm that applies features extraction and machine learning approaches.An algorithm of image recognition techniques,including Hu invariant moment,texture features,lateral Fourier transform and Daubechies(DBn)wavelet transform,was used to describe the features of defects,and support vector machines were used to classify sewer pipe defects.According to the inspection results,seven defects were defined;the diagnostic system was applied to a sewer pipe system in a southern city of China,and 28,760 m of sewer pipes were inspected.The results revealed that the classification accuracies of the different defects ranged from 51.6% to 99.3%.The overall accuracy reached 84.1%.The diagnosing accuracy depended on the number of the training samples,and four fitting curves were applied to fit the data.According to this paper,the logarithmic fitting curve presents the highest coefficient of determination of 0.882,and more than 200 images need to be used for training samples to guarantee the accuracy higher than 85%.Xiangyang Ye Jian’e Zuo Ruohan Li Yajiao Wang Lili Gan Zhonghan Yu Xiaoqing Hu 2019Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2019,13,2:1
6Chip-integrated van der Waals PN heterojunction photodetector with low dark current and high responsivity显示文摘Two-dimensional materials are attractive for constructing high-performance photonic chip-integrated photodetectors because of their remarkable electronic and optical properties and dangling-bond-free surfaces.However,the reported chip-integrated two-dimensional material photodetectors were mainly implemented with the configuration of metalsemiconductor-metal,suffering from high dark currents and low responsivities at high operation speed.Here,we report a van der Waals PN heterojunction photodetector,composed of p-type black phosphorous and n-type molybdenum telluride,integrated on a silicon nitride waveguide.The built-in electric field of the PN heterojunction significantly suppresses the dark current and improves the responsivity.Under a bias of 1 V pointing from n-type molybdenum telluride to p-type black phosphorous,the dark current is lower than 7 nA,which is more than two orders of magnitude lower than those reported in other waveguide-integrated black phosphorus photodetectors.An intrinsic responsivity up to 577 mA W^(−1) is obtained.Remarkably,the van der Waals PN heterojunction is tunable by the electrostatic doping to further engineer its rectification and improve the photodetection,enabling an increased responsivity of 709 mA W^(−1).Besides,the heterojunction photodetector exhibits a response bandwidth of~1.0 GHz and a uniform photodetection over a wide spectral range,as experimentally measured from 1500 to 1630 nm.The demonstrated chip-integrated van der Waals PN heterojunction photodetector with low dark current,high responsivity and fast response has great potentials to develop high-performance on-chip photodetectors for various photonic integrated circuits based on silicon,lithium niobate,polymer,etc.Ruijuan Tian Xuetao Gan Chen Li Xiaoqing Chen Siqi Hu Linpeng Gu Dries Van Thourhout Andres Castellanos-Gomez Zhipei Sun Jianlin Zhao 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5:0
