A Surface-Simplex Swarm Evolution Algorithm显示文摘In the paper,a particle surface-simplex search(PSSS) is designed based on particle surface-simplex and particle surface-simplex neighborhood.Using PSSS and an evolutionary strategy of multi-states swarm,a surface-simplex swarm evolution(SSSE) algorithm for numerical optimization is proposed. In the experiments,SSSE is applied to solve 17 benchmark problems and compared with the other intelligent optimization algorithms. In the application,SSSE is used to analyze the three intrinsic independent components of gravity earth tide. The results demonstrate that SSSE can accurately find optima or close-to-optimal solutions of the complex functions with high-dimension.The performance of SSSE is stable and efficient.QUAN Haiyan SHI Xinling 2017Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2017,22,1:10
The role of furin cleavage site in SARS-CoV-2 spike protein-mediated membrane fusion in the presence or absence of trypsin显示文摘Dear Editor,The rapid spread of SARS-CoV-2(also known as 2019-nCoV and HCoV-191),a novel lineage B betacoronavirus(βCoV),has caused a global pandemic of coronavirus disease(COVID-19).It has been speculated that RRAR,a unique furin-like cleavage site(FCS)in the spike protein(S),which is absent in other lineage BβCoVs,such as SARS-CoV,is responsible for its high infectivity and transmissibility.Shuai Xia Qiaoshuai Lan Shan Su Xinling Wang Wei Xu Zezhong Liu Yun Zhu Qian Wang Lu Lu Shibo Jiang 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:8
RBD-Fc-based COVID-19 vaccine candidate induces highly potent SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing antibody response显示文摘The pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has posed serious threats to global health and economy, thus calling for the development of safe and effective vaccines. The receptorbinding domain(RBD)in the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 is responsible for its binding to angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)receptor.It contains multiple dominant neutralizing epitopes and serves as an important antigen for the development of COVID-19 vaccines. Here,we showed that immunization of mice with a candidate subunit vaccine consisting of SARS-CoV-2 RBD and Fc fragment of human IgG,as an immunopotentiator, elicited high titer of RBD-specific antibodies with robust neutralizing activity against both pseudotyped and live SARS-CoV-2 infections. The mouse antisera could also effectively neutralize infection by pseudotyped SARS-CoV-2 with several natural mutations in RBD and the IgG extracted from the mouse antisera could also show neutralization against pseudotyped SARS-CoV and SARS-related coronavirus(SARSr-CoV).Vaccination of human ACE2 transgenic mice with RBD-Fc could effectively protect mice from the SARS-CoV-2 challenge. These results suggest that SARS-CoV-2 RBD-Fc has good potential to be further developed as an effective and broad-spectrum vaccine to prevent infection of the current SARS-CoV-2 and its mutants,as well as future emerging SARSr-CoVs and re-emerging SARS-CoV.Zezhong Liu Wei Xu Shuai Xia Chenjian Gu Xinling Wang Qian Wang Jie Zhou Yanling Wu Xia Cai Di Qu Tianlei Ying Youhua Xie Lu Lu Zhenghong Yuan Shibo Jiang 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:7

Peripheral Lymphocyte Subsets as a Marker of Parkinson's Disease in a Chinese Population显示文摘In this study, we conducted a clinical analysis of lymphocyte subtypes in 268 patients with Parkinson's disease(PD) to assess their clinical impact as a potential marker of advanced PD in Chinese patients. The participants comprised 268 sporadic PD patients and 268 healthy controls. The numbers of natural killer(NK) cells and CD3+, CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, and CD19+ lymphocytes from peripheral blood were determined by immunostaining and flow cytometric analysis and the percentages of these CD+ T cells were calculated. The ratio of regulatory T(Treg)/helper T 17(Th17) lymphocytes from 64 PD patients and 46 controls was determined by flow cytometric analysis. The results showed that the percentage of NK cells was higher in advanced PD patients than in controls(22.92% ±10.08% versus 19.76% ± 10.09%, P = 0.006), while CD3+ T cells are decreased(62.93% ± 9.27% versus65.75% ± 9.13%, P = 0.005). The percentage of CD19+B cells in male patients was lower(P = 0.021) than in female patients, whereas NK cells were increased(P \ 0.0001). The scores on the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS) and the Non-Motor Symptoms Scale in late-onset PD patients were significantly higher than those in earlyonset patients(P = 0.024 and P = 0.007, respectively). The percentage of CD19+ B cells in patients with UPDRS scores[24 was lower than in those with scores \24(10.17% ±4.19% versus 12.22% ± 5.39%, P = 0.009). In addition, the Treg/Th17 ratio in female patients was higher than that in female controls(13.88 ± 6.32 versus 9.94 ± 4.06, P =0.042). These results suggest that the percentages of NK cells,CD3+ T cells, and CD19+ B cells along with the Treg/Th17 ratio in peripheral blood may be used to predict the risk of PD in Chinese individuals and provide fresh avenues for novel diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic designs.Luan Cen Chaohao Yang Shuxuan Huang Miaomiao Zhou Xiaolu Tang Kaiping Li Wenyuan Guo Zhuohua Wu Mingshu Mo Yousheng Xiao Xiang Chen Xinling Yang Qinhui Huang Chaojun Chen Shaogang Qu Pingyi Xu 2017Neuroscience Bulletin2017,33,5:5
A novel STING agonist-adjuvanted pan-sarbecovirus vaccine elicits potent and durable neutralizing antibody and T cell responses in mice, rabbits and NHPs显示文摘The emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants and potentially other highly pathogenic sarbecoviruses in the future highlights the need for pan-sarbecovirus vaccines. Here,we discovered a new STING agonist,CF501,and found that CF501-adjuvanted RBD-FC vaccine(CF501/RBD-FC)elicited significantly stronger neutralizing antibody(nAb)and T cell responses than Alum-and cGAMP-adjuvanted RBD-FC in mice.Vaccination of rabbits and rhesus macaques(nonhuman primates,NHPs)with CF501/RBD-FC elicited exceptionally potent nAb responses against SARS-CoV-2 and its nine variants and 41 S-mutants,SARS-CoV and bat SARSr-CoVs.CF501/RBD-FC-immunized hACE2-transgenic mice were almost completely protected against SARS-CoV-2 challenge, even 6 months after the initial immunization.NHPs immunized with a single dose of CF501/RBD-FC produced high titers of nAbs.The immunized macaques also exhibited durable humoral and cellular immune responses and showed remarkably reduced viral load in the upper and lower airways upon SARS-CoV-2 challenge even at 108 days post the final immunization.Thus,CF501/RBD-Fc can be further developed as a novel pan-sarbecovirus vaccine to combat current and future outbreaks of sarbecovirus diseases.Zezhong Liu Jie Zhou Wei Xu Wei Deng Yanqun Wang Meiyu Wang Qian Wang Ming Hsieh Jingming Dong Xinling Wang Weijin Huang Lixiao Xing Miaoling He Chunlin Tao Youhua Xie Yilong Zhang Youchun Wang Jincun Zhao Zhenghong Yuan Chuan Qin Shibo Jiang Lu Lu 2022Cell Research2022,32,3:5
A D-optimal Multi-position Calibration Method for Dynamically Tuned Gyroscopes显示文摘This paper presents a novel experimental design to greatly improve the calibration accuracy of the acceleration-insensitive bias and the acceleration-sensitive bias of the dynamically tuned gyroscopes(DTGs).In order to reduce experimental cost, the D-optimal criteria with constraints are constructed. The turntable positions and the number of test points are chosen to build D-optimal experimental designs. The D-optimal experimental designs are tested by multi-position calibration experiment for tactical-grade DTGs.Test results show that, with the same cost, the fit uncertainty is reduced by about 50% by using the D-optimal 8-position experimental procedure, compared to using a defacto standard experimental procedure in ANSI/IEEE Std 813-1988.Furthermore,the new experimental procedure almost achieves optimal accuracy with only 12-position which is half the cost of the widely adopted 24-position experimental procedure for achieving optimal accuracy.FU Li ZHU Yongquan WANG Lingling WANG Xinling 2011Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2011,24,2:5

Characteristics of ultrafine particles emitted from a dimethyl ether (DME) engine显示文摘Measurements of exhaust particle number concentration and size distribution from a dimethyl ether (DME) engine at different engine loads and speeds were carried out by using a two-stage dilution sys- tem and an SMPS. The results of the DME engine were compared with those of the original diesel en- gine. The fuel composition had significant effects on the exhaust particle size distribution, the total exhaust particle number and mass concentrations. Compared with those of the DME engine, the parti- cle mass emissions of the diesel engine increased 5.7-17.7 times. At high engine speed (n=2200 r/min), compared with those of the DME engine, the total particle number emissions of the diesel engine in- creased 0.75-2.2 times, while the total particle number emissions of the diesel engine decreased by about 50%-80% for middle and high loads at middle engine speed (n=1400 r/min). Compared with those of the DME engine, the total exhaust particle number concentrations in the accumulation mode of the diesel engine increased 4.2-62.6 times and the exhaust particle geometric number mean diameters in the accumulation mode increased by about 10-30 nm. This correlated with higher oxygen level and lack of C-C bonds in DME. A lot of nucleation mode particles were emitted from the DME engine, this correlated with the processes of nucleation and condensation of the volatile and semi-volatile com- pounds in the exhaust gas.LI XinLing HUANG Zhen WANG JiaSong WU JunHua 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,2:4
Microarray-based analyses of monocytes from Chinese Uygur patients with Parkinson's disease and cognitive impairment显示文摘Parkinson's disease (PD),a complex neurodegenerative disease,is characterized by the loss of dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra of the midbrain.PD patients have varying degrees of cognitive impairment (CI)1 that we term PD-CI.However,the etiology of these changes remains unexplained. We chose three Uygur male patients with PD-CI and three healthy controls of the same of nationality and sex to explore the pathogenesis of Xinjiang Uygur PD-CI using microarray-based gene expression profiling of monocytes. METHODS Subjects The cases were three Uygur men with PD-CI (sporadic) diagnosed by doctors of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University between November 2012 and January 2013.They were 65,72,and 75 years old and were screened using the BrainBank diagnostic criteria (United Kingdom).2 When necessary, diagnosis was confirmed using a head MRI or CT scan.Secondary PD,Parkinson's syndrome, hyperthyroidism and other genetic or neural diseases were excluded. The three healthy individuals in the control group were selected from a survey population about the incidence of PD in Urumqi and were of identical gender and ethnicity as the PD patients, but were not genetically related to the patient group.Their ages were 62,67,and 70 years. These six subjects were used for microarray-based analyzes. We also collected 31 cases of Uygur men with PD-CI (sporadic) and 35 healthy Uygur subjects for qRT-PCR verification of the microarray experiments. To investigate cognitive function,we used Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE).MMSE scores of junior high school level ≤24 are considered to indicate cognitive disorders. This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and with approval from the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.Written informed consent was obtained from all participants.Luo Qin Xia Huan Yang Xinling 2014Chinese Medical Journal2014,,12:4
Imaging the mantle transition zone beneath eastern and central China with CEArray receiver functions显示文摘We analyzed a total of 37 427 receiver-function data recorded by national and regional broadband seismic networks of the China Earthquake Administration to study the mantle transition zone beneath eastern and central China.Significant topography on both the 410-km and 660-km discontinuities was clearly imaged in the 3D volume of CCP (common-conversion-point) stacked images that cover an area of 102.5 E-122.5 E and 22.0 N-42.0 N.3D crustal and mantle velocity models were used in computing the Ps time moveouts to better image the absolute depths of the two discontinuities. We found that the 660-km discontinuity is depressed up to 25 km along the east coast of China, indicating the presence of the subducted Pacific slab in the region.More interestingly,a double 660-km was observed beneath the Huanghai Sea,which was not seen from the 410-km discontinuity. We found a strong and localized anomaly beneath the Quaternary Datong volcano located at the northeastern edge of the Ordos Plateau in North China. The 410-km is depressed by as much as 15 km beneath the volcano. If the amount of the depression is caused by unmodeled low velocity anomaly in the upper mantle,it requires either a strong (4%-8%) localized low velocity anomaly near the lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary or ~1.5% low velocity column across the entire upper mantle above the 410-km.The latter could suggest a deep origin of the Datong volcano, although it was usually attributed to edge-driven convection by most of the literatures.Xinling Wang Fenglin Niu 2011Earthquake Science2011,24,1:4
The structural characteristics of dietary fibers from Tremella fuciformis and their hypolipidemic effects in mice显示文摘In this study,Tremella fuciformis residues as raw material, dietary fibers from tremella were prepared by multiple enzymes. The structure of dietary fibers from tremella was studied by Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).We analyzed their lipidlowering properties in vitro(water holding, oil holding swelling cholesterol and sodium cholate binding capacitises)and the hypolipidemic effects in mice. The results showed that tremella dietary fibers presented the infrared absorption spectrum characteristics of polysaccharides and the characteristic diffraction peaks of cellulose type I.SEM results indicated that the surface of insoluble dietary fiber(IDF)was porous, while the soluble dietary fiber(SDF)was relatively compact and spongy.IDF exhibited significantly higher water holding, oil holding, and swelling binding capacities than the corresponding SDF.However,SDF exhibited significantly higher viscosity than IDF.The results showed tremella dietary fibers were significant in swelling, water holding and oil holding, cholesterol and bile acids. In vivo experiment results in mice indicated that SDF has the best effect on hyperlipidemia mice than IDF and total dietary fiber(TDF).SDF showed that the total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG)and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)contents dropped by 28.33%,18.65%,and 48.97%,respectively,while high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)content increased by 43.80%.Compared with the high-fat control(HCM)group, the arteriosclerosis index(AI)and liver index(LI)of the SDF group mice showed significant differences, indicating that SDF has a good auxiliary effect of lowering blood lipids. The administration of tremella fibers improved the lipid metabolism disorderly situation of hyperlipidemia mice. These results provide a reference for further research and rational development of T.fuciformis.Shanshan Zhang Xinle Xu Xu Cao Tingting Liu 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,2:4

The diagnostic value of tumor abnormal protein and high sensitivity C reactive protein in screening for endometrial cancer with endometrial thickness less than 8 mm显示文摘Objective This study aimed to combine tumor abnormal protein(TAP) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) level detection to diagnose endometrial cancer in patients with endometrial thickness less than 8 mm, and to provide a reference for clinical screening and diagnosis. Methods Clinical data from 19 cases of endometrial cancer, diagnosed on the basis of pathological findings, were collected from September 2014 to December 2015. The inclusion criteria were as follows: the patients were first diagnosed with endometrial thickness less than 8 mm and were all in menopause. Perimenopausal patients(n = 26) with uterine fibroids seen during the same period were selected as a control group. Serum TAP and hs-CRP levels of the patients in the two groups were simultaneously determined on admission. Results We found that both TAP and hs-CRP levels in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group [(182.95 ± 72.14) μm^2 vs.(133.19 ± 55.18) μm^2, P = 0.019;(7.52 ± 19.03) mg/L vs.(1.66 ± 2.31) mg/L, P = 0.136]. The sensitivity of TAP for the diagnosis of endometrial cancer was 73.68%, the specificity was 69.23%, and the Youden index was 0.4291. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of hs-CRP was 15.79% and 100%, respectively, and the Youden index was 0.1579. After plotting the receiver operating characteristics curves, the optimal cut-off value for TAP in diagnosing endometrial cancer was found to be 160.662 μm^2 and that for hs-CRP was 1.07 mg/L. Conclusion For patients suspected of having endometrial cancer with endometrial thickness less than 8 mm, combined detection of TAP and hs-CRP levels can be used as a screening tool and can provide new ideas regarding clinical diagnosis and treatment.Yi Li Ruiqin Yue Dongrui Qin Yanqing Wang Xinling Zhou Xinyong Jing Chuanzhong Wu 2016Oncology and Translational Medicine2016,2,4:3

The biomarkers of immune dysregulation and inflammation response in Parkinson disease显示文摘Parkinson’s disease(PD)is referring to the multi-systemicα-synucleinopathy with Lewy bodies deposited in midbrain. In ageing, the environmental and genetic factors work together and overactive major histocompatibility complex pathway to regulate immune reactions in central nerve system which resulting in neural degeneration, especially in dopaminergic neurons. As a series of biomarkers, the human leukocyte antigen genes with its related proteomics play cortical roles on the antigen presentation of major histocompatibility complex molecules to stimulate the differentiation of T lymphocytes and i-proteasome activities under their immune response to the PD-related environmental alteration and genetic variation.Furthermore, dopaminergic drugs change the biological characteristic of T lymphatic cells, affect theα-synuclein presentation pathway, and inhibit T lymphatic cells to release cytotoxicity in PD development.Taking together, the serum inflammatory factors and blood T cells are involved in the immune dysregulation of PD and inspected as the potential clinic biomarkers for PD prediction.Li Chen Mingshu Mo Guangning Li Luan Cen Lei Wei Yousheng Xiao Xiang Chen Shaomin Li Xinling Yang Shaogang Qu Pingyi Xu 2016Translational Neurodegeneration2016,5,1:3
Green fluorescent protein (GFP) as a vital marker for studying the interaction of Phytophthora sojae and soybean显示文摘Transgenic Phytophthora sojae strains that produce green fluorescent protein (GFP) were obtained after stable DNA integration using the Hsp70 promoter and the Ham34 terminator of Bremia lactucae. The expression of GFP during different developmental stages of P. sojae was observed using fluorescent microscopy. Based on this reporter system, the histopathologic events caused by the pathogen in soybean leaves, hypocotyls and roots were monitored. Meanwhile, the difference in resistance between different soybean cultivars against P. sojae was analyzed microscopically in roots. The results indicate that GFP can be stably expressed in zoosporangia, zoospores, cysts, hyphae and oospores of P. sojae. Using the GFP marker, the infecting pathogens in leaves, hypocotyls and roots of host could be distinctly visualized. The germ tube length of cysts germinating on the roots of resistant cultivar Nannong 8848 was longer than that on the roots of susceptible cultivar Hefeng 35. These results show for the first time that this eukaryotic reporter can be used in P. sojae as a stable and vital marker, allowing the study of genetics of this hemibiotrophic pathogen.CHEN XiaoRen CHENG BaoPing WANG XinLe DONG SuoMeng WANG YongLin ZHENG XiaoBo WANG YuanChao 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,16:3
Mechanically activated starch magnetic microspheres for Cd(Ⅱ)adsorption from aqueous solution显示文摘Magnetic starch microspheres(AAM-MSM)were synthesized via an inverse emulsion graft copolymerization by using mechanically activated cassava starch(MS)as a crude material, acrylic acid(AA)and acrylamide(AM)as graft copolymer monomers, and methyl methacrylate(MMA)as the dispersing agent and used as an adsorbent for the removal of Cd(Ⅱ)ions from aqueous solution.Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and vibrating sample magnetometry(VSM)were used to characterize the AAM-MSM adsorbent. The results indicated that AA,AM,and MMA were grafted to the MS,and the Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles were encapsulated in the AAM-MSM adsorbent microspheres. The adsorbent exhibited a smooth surface, uniform size, and good sphericity because of the addition of the MMA and provided more adsorption sites for the Cd(Ⅱ)ions. The maximum adsorption capacity of Cd(Ⅱ)on the AAM-MSM was 39.98 mg·g^(-1).The adsorbents were superparamagnetic, and the saturation magnetization was 16.7 A·m^(2)·kg^(-1).Additionally,the adsorption isotherms and kinetics of the adsorption process were further investigated. The process of Cd(Ⅱ)ions adsorbed onto the AAM-MSM could be described more favorably by the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isothermal adsorption models, which suggested that the chemical reaction process dominated the adsorption process for the Cd(Ⅱ)and chemisorption was the rate-controlling step during the Cd(Ⅱ)removal process.Xinling Xie Xiaona Zhao Xuan Luo Tongming Su Youquan Zhang Zuzeng Qin Hongbing Ji 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,5:3
