1Genesis of the Hongzhen metamorphic core complex and its tectonic implications显示文摘The Hongzhen metamorphic core complex is situated in the Yangtze plate to the east of the Dabie oro- genic belt. Its ductile detachment zone in the foot wall overprints on the metamorphic complex of the Proterozoic Dongling Group. The present profile of the ductile shear zone with consistent SW-dipping mineral elongation lineation shows antiform and reversed S-shape from northeast to southwest respectively. Exposure structures, microstructures and quartz C-axis fabric all indicate top-to-SW movement for the ductile shear zone. Recrystallisation types of quartz and feldspar in the mylonites demonstrate that the shear zone was developed under the amphibolite facies condition and at mid-crust levels. The metamorphic core complex formed in the Early Cretaceous with a muscovite plateau age of 124.8±1.2 Ma. Regional NE-SW extension along a SW-dipping, gentle detachment zone was responsible for formation of the core complex. Intrusion of the Hongzhen granite with a biotite plateau age of 124.8±1.2 Ma rendered the ductile shear zone curved, uplifted and final localization of the core complex. 2K-Ar dating of extensional fault gouge from the Yi-Shu segment of the Tan-Lu fault zone显示文摘Two grabens were developed in the Yi-Shu segment of the Tan-Lu fault zone (TLFZ) during its exten-sional activities, and are now confined by four major NNE-trending normal faults and filled with Creta-ceous sediments. These faults were developed due to their reactivities, containing gouge and cutting the graben sediments. Detailed fieldwork demonstrates that the faults experienced sinistral transten-sional moment related to regional NE-SW extension during the reactivity. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of the finest gouge samples gives illite crystallinity values higher than 0.42o?2θ, indicating temperatures experienced by the gouge samples were less than 150℃ . From the relation between K-Ar data and proportions of detrital illite in different size fractions of the gouge samples, we conclude that refaulting for the western boundary fault of the TLFZ, abbreviated to F4, took place at ca. 90 Ma and for the eastern boundary fault, abbreviated to F1, happened from 70 to 60 Ma. During the two phases of reactivity imposed by the same NE-SW extension, the TLFZ experienced uplifting and no sediments were deposited in the two grabens. 3Magnetostratigraphic dating of the Hougou Paleolithic site in the Nihewan Basin,North China显示文摘The fluvio-lacustrine sedimentary sequences in the Nihewan Basin,northern China,are important for studying Quaternary land mammal evolution and Paleolithic settlements in the high-latitude temperate East Asia.Here we report new magnetostratigraphic results that constrain age of the Hougou Paleolithic site in this basin.Magnetite and hematite were identified as carriers of the characteristic remanent magnetizations,with the former being dominant.Magnetic polarity stratigraphy shows that the Hougou sequence recorded the very late Matuyama reverse chron and the Brunhes normal chron.The age of the Hougou Paleolithic site was estimated to be 395 ka based on an averaged rate of sediment accumulation.The combination of our magnetostratigraphy and previously published chronological data for early Paleolithic or human sites in the high-latitude northern China may document a persistent colonization of the hostile high-latitude areas of the eastern Old World during the middle-early Pleistocene.ZUO TianWen CHENG HongJiang LIU Ping XIE Fei DENG ChengLong 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,11:2

7Crustal deformation and dynamics of Early Cretaceous in the North China Craton显示文摘The Early Cretaceous represents a peak period of the North China Craton(NCC)destruction.A comprehensive analysis of crustal deformation during this period can reveal processes and dynamics of the destruction.The peak destruction of the NCC was associated with intense extension whose representative deformation products are metamorphic core complexes(MCCs),extensional domes and rifted basins.These MCCs occurred along both northern and southern margins of the NCC,and resulted from synchronous extension and magmatism,showing difference from the typical orogen-type MCCs in many aspects.The MCCs of the Early Cretaceous were replaced by extensional domes under relatively weak extension and uplift.In contrast to a major depression-type basin of the Early Cretaceous in the western NCC,rifted basins of the same age in the eastern NCC appeared as medium-to small-scale ones extensively.In the eastern NCC,the rifted basins north of the Bohai Bay are characterized by a feature similar to an active rift whereas those south of the Bohai present similarity to a passive rift.Various sorts of extensional structures developed during the peak destruction indicate a stable stress state of NE-SE extension over the entire central to eastern NCC,consistent with the plate margin-driven stress field.Spatial distribution of the extensional structures presents an 1800 km wide back-arc extension region in the central to eastern NCC,consistent with the Paleo-Pacific slab rollback model following flat subduction.Temporal-spatial variation of initial extension and volcanic activity during the peak period also supports the rollback model right after the flat oceanic slab.The crustal deformation evolution demonstrates that the peak destruction of the NCC took place after the B-episode compression of the Yanshan Movement of the earliest Early Cretaceous and terminated with onset of the C-episode compression of the earliest Late Cretaceous.Guang ZHU Yuanchao LU Nan SU Xiaodong WU Hao YIN Shuai ZHANG Chenglong XIE Manlan NIU 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,9:1

9Characteristics and sources of peroxyacetyl nitrate(PAN)in the rural North China Plain:Results from1-year continuous observations显示文摘Peroxyacetyl nitrate(PAN)is an important photochemical pollutant in the troposphere,whereas long-term measurements are scarce in rural areas in North China Plain(NCP),resulting in unclear seasonal variations and sources of PAN in rural NCP.In this study,we conducted a 1-year observation of PAN during 2021-2022 at the rural NCP site.The average concentrations of PAN were 1.10,0.75,0.65,and 0.88 ppbv in spring,summer,autumn,and winter,respectively,with a 1-year average of 0.81±0.60 ppbv.Calculations indicate that the loss of PAN through thermal decomposition in summer accounts for 43.2% of the total formed PAN,which is an important reason for the low concentration of PAN in summer.We speculate that since the correlation between PAN and O_(3) in winter is significantly lower than that in other seasons,the observed regional transport of PAN cannot be ignored in winter.Through budget analysis,regional transport accounted for 12.8% and 55.9% of the observed PAN on the spring and winter pollution days,respectively,which showed that regional transport played key roles during the photochemical pollution of the rural NCP in winter.The potential source contribution function revealed that the transported PAN mainly comes from southern Hebei in spring.In winter,the transported PAN was mainly from Langfang,Hengshui,and southern Beijing.Our findings may aid in understanding PAN variations in different seasons in rural areas and highlight the impact of regional transport on the PAN budget.Xin Liu Xiaowei He Chenglong Zhang Yifei Song Shuyang Xie Chengtang Liu Pengfei Liu Yuanyuan Zhang Yujing Mu Junfeng Liu 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4:0
10Numerical optimization method for HJI equations derived from robust receding horizon control schemes and controller design显示文摘This paper addresses how to numerically solve the Hamilton-Jacobin-Isaac(HJI)equations derived from the robust receding horizon control schemes.The developed numerical method,the finite dierence scheme with sigmoidal transformation,is a stable and convergent algorithm for HJI equations.A boundary value iteration procedure is developed to increase the calculation accuracy with less time consumption.The obtained value function can be applied to the robust receding horizon controller design of some kind of uncertain nonlinear systems.In the controller design,the finite time horizon is extended into the infinite time horizon and the controller can be implemented in real time.It can avoid the on-line repeated optimization and the dependence on the feasibility of the initial state which are encountered in the traditional robust receding horizon control schemes.SONG ChongHui BIAN ChunYuan ZHANG Xie SHI ChengLong 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,1:0
11Comparative study on the inhibiting mechanism of inhibitor with primary amine groups and quaternary ammonium groups for sodium bentonite显示文摘Shale hydration and swelling is the main obstacle to the development of shale gas utilizing water-based drilling fluids(WBDFs).In this work,the inhibition mechanism of alkylammonium inhibitor and alkylamine inhibitor adsorbed on sodium bentonite(NaþBent)are investigated using infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),zeta potential,particle size distribution tests,and thermogravimetry analysis(TGA).The results suggest that HTB and HMD can be inserted into the interlamination of NaþBent and minimize the basal spacing compared to hydrated NaþBent.HTB and HMD are inserted between the NaþBent layers in a single-layer tiled manner and replace the sodium ions that are firmly fixed between the layers.Eventually,water molecules are removed from the interlayer NaþBent.The interaction between the quaternary ammonium group and NaþBent is more significant than between the primary amine group and NaþBent.The inhibition performance suggests that HTB inhibits NaþBent hydration and swelling more substantially than other inhibitors,indicating that the inhibition performance of the two quaternary ammonium groups is greater than that of the two primary amine groups.Therefore,HTB can be used as intercalation inhibition in WBDFs and has tremendous application value.Gang Xie Yujing Luo Chenglong Wang Mingyi Deng Yang Bai 2023Petroleum2023,9,4:0
12Tectonic implications of the subduction of the Kyushu-Palau Ridge beneath the Kyushu,southwest Japan显示文摘The Kyushu-Palau Ridge(KPR),a remnant arc on the Philippine Sea Plate(PSP),is subducting beneath the Kyushu,southwest Japan.Influenced by the subducting KPR,the Kyushu subduction zone corresponding to the KPR is significantly different from Shikoku subduction zone in terms of gravity anomalies,seismicity,the stress state,and the subducting slab morphology.Significant negative free-air and Bouguer gravity anomalies are observed in a prolonged area of KPR,southeast of the Miyazaki Plain,indicating that this is where KPR overlaps the overriding plate.The gravity anomaly in this area is much lower than that in other areas where the inferred KPR extends,suggesting that the subduction of the buoyant KPR may cause the lower mantle density to decrease.More earthquakes have occurred in Hyuga-nada region where the KPR subducts than in Shikoku forearc and other areas in the Kyushu forearc,indicating that the subduction of the KPR enhances the local coupling between the subducting and overriding plates.The centroid moment tensor(CMT)mechanism of earthquakes shows that stress is concentrated in the accumulated crust beneath the Kyushu forearc corresponding to the KPR,and the shallow thrusting events in the obducting plate are caused by the KPR subduction.The buoyant KPR,with a large volume of low-density sediments,was responsible for the differences of the subduction depth and dip angle of the subducting Philippine Sea(PS)slab between northern Kyushu and Shikoku.The seismic gaps and the sudden change of the dipping angle of the subducting PS slab indicate that slab tear may have occurred along the west side of the KPR beneath southwest Kyushu.A two-tear model was proposed,and the subduction of the buoyant KPR was believed to play an important role in the slab tear.Chenglong Xia Yanpeng Zheng Baohua Liu Qingfeng Hua Long Ma Xianfeng Li Qiuhong Xie 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,3:0
