1Heavy metal accumulation by panicled goldenrain tree(Koelreuteria paniculata) and common elaeocarpus(Elaeocarpus decipens) in abandoned mine soils in southern China显示文摘Phytoremediation can be used as a sustainable technology for mine spoil remediation to remove heavy metals.This study investigated the concentration of 7 heavy metal contamination in soil and plant samples at an abandoned mine site.We found that,after vegetation remediation at the abandoned mine site,the reduction rates for 7 heavy metals were in the range of 4.2%-86%,where reduction rates over 50% were achieved for four heavy metals(Zn,Mn,Cd,Ni).Transfer coeffcients of the panicled goldenrain tree(Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm) and the common elaeocarpus(Elaeocarpus decipens) for Zn,Mn,Ni,and Co were more than 1.Enrichment coeffcients of both trees for Mn were higher than 1.Our results suggest that the panicled goldenrain tree and the common elaeocarpus tree may act as accumulators in remediation.Moreover,the woody vegetation remediation in abandoned mining areas play an important role in improving scenery besides removing heavy metal from contaminated soil.TIAN Dalun ZHU Fan YAN Wende Fang Xi XIANG Wenhua DENG Xiangwen WANG Guangjun PENG Changhui 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,3:11

3Development and validation of a nomogram for predicting the survival of patients with non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma after curative treatment显示文摘Background: The TNM staging system is far from perfect in predicting the survival of individual cancer patients because only the gross anatomy is considered. The survival rates of the patients who have the same TNM stage disease vary across a wide spectrum. This study aimed to develop a nomogram that incorporates other clinicopathologic factors for predicting the overall survival(OS) of non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) patients after curative treatments.Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical data of 1520 NPC patients who were diagnosed histologically between November 2000 and September 2003. The clinical data of a separate cohort of 464 patients who received intensity-modulated radiation therapy(IMRT) between 2001 and 2010 were also retrieved to examine the extensibility of the model. Cox regression analysis was used to identify the prognostic factors for building the nomogram. The predictive accuracy and discriminative ability were measured using the concordance index(c-index).Results: We identiied and incorporated 12 independent clinical factors into the nomogram. The calibration curves showed that the prediction of OS was in good agreement with the actual observation in the internal validation set and IMRT cohort. 4Research on Solar Simulation System for Test of Solar Radiation Measuring Instrument显示文摘Since traditional solar simulators are mainly applied to spacecraft and photovoltaic industry,they are not suitable for solar radiation measuring instrument test. Therefore,a deep research is carried out on solar simulators to test of solar radiation measuring instrument,so that obtain the requirements of performance test of solar radiation measuring instrument. With a combination of the requirements for national regulations of metrological verification and performance test of pyranometer and pyrheliometer,it lays emphasis on the research of design methods for improving radiation uniformity and stability of solar simulators; it also focuses on design methods of multidimensional detection workbench,which achieves different detection of solar radiation. After practical test,solar irradiation is within Φ60 mm; irradiation non-uniformity is better than ±0.8%; instability is better than ±0.72%;rotating angle precision is better than 0.09°. Then,solar simulator is used to carry out pyranometer sensitivity test,pyranometer directional response test,pyranometer tilt response test and non-linearity test for radiation instruments. 6Urinary donor-derived cell-free DNA as a non-invasive biomarker for BK polyomavirus-associated nephropathy显示文摘BK polyomavirus-associated nephropathy(BKPyVAN)is a common cause of allograft failure.However,differentiation between BKPyVAN and type I T cell-mediated rejection(TCMR)is challenging when simian virus 40(SV40)staining is negative,because of the similarities in histopathology.This study investigated whether donor-derived cell-free DNA(ddcfDNA)can be used to differentiate BKPyVAN.Target region capture sequencing was applied to detect the ddcfDNAs of 12 recipients with stable graft function,22 with type I TCMR,21 with proven BKPy VAN,and 5 with possible Py VAN.We found that urinary ddcfDNA levels were upregulated in recipients with graft injury,whereas plasma ddcfDNA levels were comparable for all groups.The median urinary concentrations and fractions of ddcfDNA in proven BKPyVAN recipients were significantly higher than those in type I TCMR recipients(10.4 vs.6.1 ng/mL,P<0.001 and 68.4%vs.55.3%,P=0.013,respectively).Urinary ddcfDNA fractions(not concentrations)were higher in the BKPyVAN-pure subgroup than in the BKPyVAN-rejection-like subgroup(81.30%vs.56.64%,P=0.025).With a cut-off value of 7.81 ng/m L,urinary ddcf DNA concentrations distinguished proven BKPyVAN from type I TCMR(area under the curve(AUC)=0.848,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.734 to 0.963).These findings suggest that urinary ddcf DNA is a non-invasive biomarker which can reliably differentiate BKPy VAN from type I TCMR.Jia SHEN Luying GUO Wenhua LEI Shuaihui LIU Pengpeng YAN Haitao LIU Jingyi ZHOU Qin ZHOU Feng LIU Tingya JIANG Huiping WANG Jianyong WU Jianghua CHEN Rending WANG 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,11:4
7Effect of burden and origin sites of premature ventricular contractions on left ventricular function by 7-day Holter monitor显示文摘Recent studies have shown that premature ventricular contractions(PVCs) could enlarge the heart,but its risk factors are incompletely understood as a single 24-hour recording cannot reflect the true PVC burden due to day-to-day variability.Our purpose was to investigate the effect of burden and origin sites on left ventricular(LV) function in patients with PVCs by 7-day Holter electrocardiography(ECG).From May 2012 to August2013,112 consecutive patients with PVCs were recruited from the authors' affiliated hospital.All patients received2-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography,12-lead routing ECG and 7-days Holter ECG.Serum N-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) levels were measured.A total of 102 participants with PVCs were included in the final analysis.Origin of PVCs from the tricuspid annulus had the highest burden and NT-proBNP level.LV papillary muscle had a higher LV ejection fraction(EF) level and a lower LV end-systolic dimension(ESD) than other PVC foci(P<0.05).The high burden group had a higher LV end-diastolic dimension(EDD) and LVESD but lower LVEF than the other two groups(P<0.05).Female,older age,physical work,and history of PVCs had a significantly positive correlation with symptoms.Male,older age,physical work,and high burden were positive predictors of enlarged LVEDD,LVESD and higher serum NT-proBNP level,but lower LVEF.Seven-day dynamic ECG Holter monitor showed the true PVC burden on patients with PVCs.PVCs with a lower burden or origin from the LV papillary muscle and the fascicle were relatively benign,while PVCs with a higher burden or origin from the tricuspid annulus may lead to cardiac dysfunction.Wenhua Xu Mingfang Li Minglong Chen Bing Yang Daowu Wang Xiangqing Kong Hongwu Chen Weizhu Ju Kai Gu Kejiang Cao Hailei Liu Qi Jiang Jiaojiao Shi Yan Cui Hong Wang 2015The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,6:4
8The Construction of Active Source Repeated Monitoring in the Qilian Mountain, Gansu Province显示文摘The exciting source of the active source repeated monitoring is located in the Xiliushui Reservoir in Zhangye,Gansu Province. The system began operating normally on July 9,2015,and we had completed a period of 40 days of continuous excitation experiment before November 10,2015. Our results reveal that the airgun source has good consistency and repeatability,and the detective system of active source can record signal clearly. The construction of active source repeated exploration projects has achieved some results,which can provide valuable experience for the research of active source repeated exploration. 9Absorption characteristics of elemental mercury in mercury chloride solutions显示文摘Elemental mercury(Hg0) in flue gases can be efficiently captured by mercury chloride(Hg Cl2) solution. However, the absorption behaviors and the influencing effects are still poorly understood. The mechanism of Hg0 absorption by Hg Cl2 and the factors that control the removal were studied in this paper. It was found that when the mole ratio of Cl-to Hg Cl2 is 10:1, the Hg0 removal efficiency is the highest. Among the main mercury chloride species,Hg Cl3-is the most efficient ion for Hg0 removal in the Hg Cl2 absorption system when moderate concentrations of chloride ions exist. The Hg0 absorption reactions in the aqueous phase were investigated computationally using Moller–Plesset perturbation theory. The calculated Gibbs free energies and energy barriers are in excellent agreement with the results obtained from experiments. In the presence of SO32-and SO2, Hg2+reduction occurred and Hg0 removal efficiency decreased. The reduced Hg0 removal can be controlled through increased chloride concentration to some degree. Low p H value in Hg Cl2 solution enhanced the Hg0 removal efficiency, and the effect was more significant in dilute Hg Cl2 solutions. 12Efficacy of Cytidine-5'-diphosp-bocholine Combined with Compound Anisodine in the Treatment of Early Optic Nerve Contusion显示文摘Purpose:To investigate the efficacy of anisodine combined with cytidine-5'-diphosp-bocholine (citicoline) in the treatment of early optic nerve contusion.Methods:A total of 33 subjects eligible for inclusion were selected from 105 patients clinically diagnosed with optic nerve contusion.These patients were subsequently divided into the control group (n =16) and the intervention group (n =17).In the control group,the participants received therapy consisting of glucocorticoids,mannitol,vasodilators and vitamin B.The patients in the intervention group additionally received anisodine in combination with citicoline.The visual acuity was graded on a scale from 0 to 8.Results:Prior to treatment,.the 25th,50th and 75th percentiles of visual acuity grade were 3,4 and 6.75 for the controls,and 3,4 and 6.5 for the patients in the intervention group (P=0.97).After treatment,the 25th,50th and 75th percentiles of visual acuity grade were 4,6 and 7.75 in the control group,and 7,7 and 8 in the intervention group (P=0.046).A significant difference was observed in both control (P=0.005) and intervention groups(P=0.001) when comparing presenting visual acuity before and after treatment.Conclusion:The combination of anisodine and citicoline with standard steroid and mannitol therapy appears to be effective in the treatment of early optic nerve contusion.Wenhua Wang Yan Huang Jianli Zhang Jiahai Jiang Jinxiu Huang 2012Eye Science2012,27,1:3

14Clinical Study on Interferon Treatment of Early Scarring in Filtering Bleb显示文摘Purpose:To investigate the effectiveness of needle revision combined with subconjuctival injection of interferon α-2b in reversing early scarring of filtering blebs following trabeculectomy surgery.Methods:Twenty-five glaucoma patients (31 eyes) who presented with scarred or encapsulated filtering bleb after glaucoma surgery underwent needle revision in combination with subconjuctival injection of interferon α-2b,and were followed for 12 months.Intraocular pressure (IOP) and filtering bleb morphology were observed post treatment.Results:.The mean time until scarring occurred was 21.0±7.4 days..The average time between recognition of bleb scarring and completion of needle revision was 2.2±0.8 days.The time interval between surgery and needle revision was inversely correlated with the time until needle revision (r=-0.694,P < 0.001).The mean IOPs before and after needle revision were 24.2±2.7 mmHg and 19.6±3.8 mmHg,respectively (t=5.916,P < 0.001)..At the 12-month follow-up visit,.18 eyes (58.1%).achieved complete success in IOP control,.and 6 eyes (19.4%) had conditional success..The overall success rate for needling was thus 77.4%.Subconjunctival hemorrhage was observed in 4 eyes during the needle revision procedure.Punctate staining was found in the corneal epithelium of 2 eyes.Shallow anterior chamber (Grade I or II) was identified in 5 eyes.Conclusion:Slit-lamp needle revision combined with subconjunctival injection of interferon α-2b may be efficacious in the treatment of early scarring of filtering blebs,easy and safe to perform,.and may be considered for more widespread application.Wenhua Wang Jianli Zhang Yan Huang Jinxiu Huang Jiahai Jiang 2011Eye Science2011,26,4:2
15Asymmetricalπback-donation of hetero-dicationic Mo^(4+)-Mo^(6+)pairs for enhanced electrochemical nitrogen reduction显示文摘The breaking of nonpolar N≡N bond of dinitrogen is the biggest dilemma for electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)application,driving electron migration between catalysts and N≡N bond(termed“πback-donation”process)is crucial for attenuating interfacial energy barrier but still remains challenging.Herein,using density functional theory calculations,we revealed that constructing a unique hetero-dicationic Mo^(4+)-Mo^(6+)pair could effectively activate N≡N bond with a lying-down chemisorption configuration by an asymmetrical“πback-donation”process.As a proof-of-concept demonstration,we synthesized MoO_(2)@MoO_(3)heterostructure with double Mo sites(Mo^(4+)-Mo^(6+)),which are embedded in graphite,for electrochemical nitrogen reduction.Impressively,this hetero-dicationic Mo^(4+)-Mo^(6+)pair catalysts display more excellent catalytic performance with a high NH_(3)yield(60.9μg·h^(-1)·mg^(-1))and Faradic efficiency(23.8%)as NRR catalysts under ambient conditions than pristine MoO_(2)and MoO_(3).Operando characterizations using synchrotron-based spectroscopic techniques identified the emergence of a key^(*)N_(2)Hy intermediate on Mo sites during NRR,which indicates that the Mo sites are active sites and the NRR process tends to follow an associative mechanism.This novel type of hetero-dicationic catalyst has tremendous potential as a new class of transition metal-based catalysts with promising applications in electrocatalysis and catalysts for energy conversion and storage.Hao Tan Qianqian Ji Chao Wang Hengli Duan Yuan Kong Yao Wang Sihua Feng Liyang Lv Fengchun Hu Wenhua Zhang Wangsheng Chu Zhihu Sun Wensheng Yan 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:2
16Soil respiration dynamics in Cinnamomum camphora forest and a nearby Liquidambar formosana forest in Subtropical China显示文摘Climate change can significantly affect carbon cycling of forest ecosystems.The diurnal and seasonal dynamics of soil respiration (Rs) in Cinnamomum camphora and Liquidambar formosana forests were investigated by using infrared gas exchange analyzer of Li-Cor 6400-09 each month in 2006.Soil temperature and moisture were also measured.Diurnal variations in Rs varied with daily soil temperature in the two forests.Across the growing season,soil respiration peaked on July 28 due to higher soil temperature and moisture conditions.Seasonal Rs variations were predominantly influenced by soil temperature.Seasonal soil respirations in C.camphora and L.formosana forests were strongly related to soil temperature (x) at 5-cm depth (Rs=0.1598e 0.1377x (R 2=0.9289,P=0.001) and Rs=0.2177e 0.0962x (R 2=0.927,P=0.000)),while annual mean Rs rate was 2.614 and 1.397 μmol m-2 s-1 and Q 10 values were 3.96 and 2.62 for the two forests,respectively.However,Rs was not influenced by seasonal changes in soil moisture (w) in the two forests in 2006.We developed two equations (Rs=-0.020w 2 +0.497w+0.562 (R 2=0.109,P>0.05),Rs=-0.001w 2 +0.072w +0.731(R 2=0.053,P>0.05)) to describe the relationship between Rs and soil moisture.A positive relationship between Rs and soil moisture were observed when soil moisture was below 12.43% and 18.00%,but when soil moisture exceeded threshold values of 12.43% and 18.00%,soil moisture became the restraint factor for Rs.Long-term observations of soil respiration and moisture are required to understand the temporal dynamics of soil respiration.TIAN DaLun WANG GuangJun YAN WenDe XIANG WenHua PENG ChangHui 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,8:2

18The Influence of Wave State and Sea Spray on Drag Coefficient from Low to High Wind Speeds显示文摘Ocean waves alter the roughness of sea surface,and sea spray droplets redistribute the momentum flux at the air-sea interface.Hence,both wave state and sea spray influence sea surface drag coefficient.Based on the new sea spray generation function which depends on sea surface wave,a wave-dependent sea spray stress is obtained.According to the relationship between sea spray stress and the total wind stress on the sea surface,a new formula of drag coefficient at high wind speed is acquired.With the analysis of the new drag coefficient,it is shown that the drag coefficient reduces at high wind speed,indicating that the sea spray droplets can limit the increase of drag coefficient.However,the value of high wind speed corresponding to the initial reduced drag coefficient is not fixed,and it depends on the wave state,which means the influence of wave cannot be ignored.Comparisons between the theoretical and measured sea surface drag coefficients in field and laboratory show that under different wave ages,the theoretical result of drag coefficient could include the measured data,and it means that the new drag coefficient can be used properly from low to high wind speeds under any wave state condition.SHI Jian ZHONG Zhong LI Xunqiang JIANG Guorong ZENG Wenhua LI Yan 2016Journal of Ocean University of China2016,15,1:2
19Geotechnical engineering blasting:a new modal aliasing cancellation methodology of vibration signal de-noising显示文摘In the present study of peak particle velocity(PPV)and frequency,an improved algorithm(principal empirical mode decomposition,PEMD)based on principal component analysis(PCA)and empirical mode decomposition(EMD)is proposed,with the goal of addressing poor filtering de-noising effects caused by the occurrences of modal aliasing phenomena in EMD blasting vibration signal decomposition processes.Test results showed that frequency of intrinsic mode function(IMF)components decomposed by PEMD gradually decreases and that the main frequency is unique,which eliminates the phenomenon of modal aliasing.In the simulation experiment,the signal-to-noise(SNR)and root mean square errors(RMSE)ratio of the signal de-noised by PEMD are the largest when compared to EMD and ensemble empirical mode decomposition(EEMD).The main frequency of the de-noising signal through PEMD is 75 Hz,which is closest to the frequency of the noiseless simulation signal.In geotechnical engineering blasting experiments,compared to EMD and EEMD,the signal de-noised by PEMD has the lowest level of distortion,and the frequency band is distributed in a range of 0-64 Hz,which is closest to the frequency band of the blasting vibration signal.In addition,the proportion of noise energy was the lowest,at 1.8%.Yi Wenhua Yan Lei Wang Zhenhuan Yang Jianhua Tao Tiejun Liu Liansheng 2022Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2022,21,2:2
20Symptom clustering in chronic gastritis based on spectral clustering显示文摘OBJECTIVE: Apply spectral clustering to analyze the patterns of symptoms in patients with chronic gastritis(CG).METHODS: Based on 919 CG subjects, we applied mutual information feature selection to choose the positively correlated symptoms with each pattern.Then, we used the Shi and Malik spectral clustering algorithm to select the top 20 correlated symptoms.RESULTS: We ascertained the results of six patterns.There were three categories for the pattern of accumulation of damp heat in the spleen-stomach(0.00332). There were six categories for the pattern of dampness obstructing the spleen-stomach(0.02466). There were two categories for the pattern of spleen-stomach Qi deficiency(0.013 89).There were three categories for the pattern of spleen-stomach deficiency cold(0.009 15). There were five categories for the pattern of liver-Qistagnation(0.01910).There were four categories for the pattern of stagnant heat in the liver-stomach(0.00585).CONCLUSION: Most of the spectral clustering results of the symptoms of CG patterns were in accordance with clinical experience and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory.
