1Photocatalytic properties of BiOX (X = Cl, Br, and Ⅰ)显示文摘A novel series of photocatalysts,bismuth oxyhalide(BiOX,X =Cl,Br,and I),were synthesized by a hydrolysis method.The powder sam- pies were characterized by the use of X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope,and UV-Vis spectrophotometer.The XRD pattern showed that all the BiOX were well crystallized in the tetragonal structure.The band gaps of the sheet-shaped compounds BiOX(X= Cl,Br,and I)were 3.44,2.76,and 1.85 eV,respectively.BiOBr showed the highest photocatalytic activity in degrading rhodamine B(RhB) and evolving O_2 for its proper valence band(VB).BiOI has no photocatalytic activity.BiOCl showed the highest activity in decomposing isopropanol because of electron-hole pair separation through trapping electrons by oxygen vacancies.AN Huizhong DU Yi WANG Tianmin WANG Cong HAO Weichang ZHANG Junying 2008Rare Metals2008,27,3:43
2Effects of biochar-based fertilizers on nutrient leaching in a tobacco-planting soil显示文摘Biochar is a soil amendment for increasing soil quality and decreasing nutrient leaching. However, there is little information on the impact of biochar-based fertilizer(BF) on soil nutrient leaching in agricultural soils. We conducted a soil column leaching experiment to study the effects of BF on the leaching of total nitrogen(TN), total phosphorus, and total potassium(TK) in tobacco soils. The distribution characteristics of NH_4^+-N, available P, and available K in soil profiles were analyzed after the application of BF. Biochar was prepared by pyrolysis of fluecured tobacco stems. It was applied at four levels, 0%, 3%,9%, and 15%(w/w), respectively, to the compound fertilizer. Compared with the control, the leaching loss of soil TN decreased by 8.36%, 6.72%, and 6.45%, and the loss of soil TK decreased by 9.18%, 9.31% and 11.82% in the 3%,9%, and 15% BF treatments, respectively. However, BF had no significant effect on the P leaching due to the low movement of P in the soil profile. In addition, the BF addition increased the immobilization of NH_4^+-N, available P, and available K in the soil profile. 4The R2R3-type MYB transcription factor MdMYB90-like is responsible for the enhanced skin color of an apple bud sport mutant显示文摘The anthocyanin content in apple skin determines its red coloration,as seen in a Fuji apple mutant.Comparative RNA-seq analysis was performed to determine differentially expressed genes at different fruit development stages between the wild-type and the skin color mutant.A novel R2R3-MYB transcription factor,MdMYB90-like,was uncovered as the key regulatory gene for enhanced coloration in the mutant.The expression of MdMYB90-like was 21.3 times higher in the mutant.MdMYB90-like regulates anthocyanin biosynthesis directly through the activation of anthocyanin biosynthesis genes and indirectly through the activation of other transcription factors that activate anthocyanin biosynthesis.MdMYB90-like bound to the promoters of both structural genes(MdCHS and MdUFGT)and other transcription factor genes(MdMYB1 and MdbHLH3)in the yeast one-hybrid system,electrophoretic mobility shift assay,and dual-luciferase assay.Transgenic analysis showed that MdMYB90-like was localized in the nucleus,and its overexpression induced the expression of other anthocyanin-related genes,including MdCHS,MdCHI,MdANS,MdUFGT,MdbHLH3,and MdMYB1.The mutant had reduced levels of DNA methylation in two regions(−1183 to−988 and−2018 to−1778)of the MdMYB90-like gene promoter,which might explain the enhanced expression of the gene and the increased anthocyanin content in the mutant apple skin.Chao Sun Chunming Wang Wang Zhang Shuai Liu Weiyao Wang Xinyi Yu Tao Song Maxwell Yu Weichang Yu Shenchun Qu 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:6
5Novel slack-based robust scheduling rule for a semiconductor manufacturing system with uncertain processing time显示文摘The NP-hard scheduling problems of semiconductor manufacturing systems(SMSs) are further complicated by stochastic uncertainties. Reactive scheduling is a common dynamic scheduling approach where the scheduling scheme is refreshed in response to real-time uncertainties. The scheduling scheme is overly sensitive to the emergence of uncertainties because the optimization of performance(such as minimum make-span) and the system robustness cannot be achieved simultaneously by conventional reactive scheduling methods. To improve the robustness of the scheduling scheme, we propose a novel slack-based robust scheduling rule(SR) based on the analysis of robustness measurement for SMS with uncertain processing time. The decision in the SR is made in real time given the robustness. The proposed SR is verified under different scenarios, and the results are compared with the existing heuristic rules. 6Visible Light Photocatalytic Properties of Metastable γ-Bi_2O_3 with Different Morphologies显示文摘The metastable γ-Bi_2O_3 photocatalysts with different morphologies were fabricated by means of a chemical precipitation method.The microstructure of as-prepared samples was characterized by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy and ultraviolet-visible diffusion reflectance spectroscopy.The photocatalytic performance of Bi_2O_3 powder was evaluated using rhodamine B as a model pollutant under visible light irradiation.The visible light photocatalytic activity of Bi_2O_3 with different morphologies is as follows,nanorod > nanorod/nanoflake > N doped TiO_2 > irregular particle > agglomerated particle.The γ-Bi_2O_3 shows the best photocatalytic performance and it can effectively degrade 97%RhB within 60 min.Weichang Hao Yuan Gao Xi Jing Wen Zou Yan Chen Tianmin Wang 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,2:4

8Boosting triplet self-trapped exciton emission in Te(IV)-doped Cs_(2)SnCl_(6) perovskite variants显示文摘Perovskite variants have attracted wide interest because of the lead-free nature and strong self-trapped exciton (STE) emission. Divalent Sn(II) in CsSnX3 perovskites is easily oxidized to tetravalent Sn(IV), and the resulted Cs2SnCl6 vacancy-ordered perovskite variant exhibits poor photoluminescence property although it has a direct band gap. Controllable doping is an effective strategy to regulate the optical properties of Cs2SnX6. Herein, combining the first principles calculation and spectral analysis, we attempted to understand the luminescence mechanism of Te4+-doped Cs2SnCl6 lead-free perovskite variants. The chemical potential and defect formation energy are calculated to confirm theoretically the feasible substitutability of tetravalent Te4+ ions in Cs2SnCl6 lattices for the Sn-site. Through analysis of the absorption, emission/excitation, and time-resolved photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, the intense green-yellow emission in Te4+:Cs2SnCl6 was considered to originate from the triplet Te(IV) ion 3P1→1S0 STE recombination. Temperature-dependent PL spectra demonstrated the strong electron-phonon coupling that inducing an evident lattice distortion to produce STEs. We further calculated the electronic band structure and molecular orbital levels to reveal the underlying photophysical process. 9MicroRNA-142-3p is frequently upregulated in colorectal cancer and may be involved in the regulation of cell proliferation显示文摘MicroRNAs are small single-stranded RNA molecules consisting of approximately 22 nucleotides (nt), and have post-transcriptional regulatory functions. By gene chip screening, we previously showed that miR-142-3p was significantly upregulated in colorectal cancer tissue and was associated with clinicopathological features, compared with matched non-tumor tissue. In this study, we confirmed significant upregulation of miR-142-3p in 60 colorectal cancer samples and three colorectal cancer cell lines by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). Using software and network resources, we predicted TCF7 as a target of miR-142-3p, which we confirmed with dual-luciferase assays. By RT-PCR and Western blot analysis, we found miR-142-3p negatively regulates TCF7 expression post-transcriptionally. CCK8 assays and growth curves indicated that overexpression of miR-142-3p in SW480 colorectal cancer cells potently inhibited cell proliferation in vitro. The expression of TCF7 mRNA and protein was upregulated in both colorectal cancer tissues and colorectal cancer cell lines, closely correlating with its function as an oncogene in promoting tumor cell proliferation and inhibiting apoptosis. 11Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity of Bi_(24)O_(31)Br_(10): Constructing Heterojunction with BiOI显示文摘Bismuth-based compounds have been regarded as an important class of visible-light photocatalysts due to their special electronic structures. In this paper, iodide ions are introduced to modify bismuth-based compound, Bi_(24)O_(31)Br_(10), forming a Bi_(24)O_(31)Br_(10)/BiOI heterojunction structure. A significant enhancement of photocatalytic activity compared to the parent compounds is observed in de-coloration of rhodamine B(Rh.B) solution. 12Sirt3 is critical for p53-mediated ferroptosis upon ROS-induced stress显示文摘Dear Editor,p53 acts as a transcription factor to modulate various types of cellular processes to suppress tumor development(Tackmann and Zhang,2017).The exquisite regulation of p53 functions is of vital importance for cell fate decisions.Although it is well accepted that p53-mediated cell-cycle arrest,senescence,and apoptosis serve as major tumor suppression mechanisms,recent studies suggest that other unconventional activities such as ferroptosis are also critically involved in its tumor suppressor function(Li et al.,2012).We and others found that p53 plays an important role in modulating ferroptotic responses through its metabolic targets(Jiang et al.,2015;Jennis et al.,2016;Wang et al.,2016).Ferroptosis is a regulated form of iron-dependent,non-apoptotic cell death characterized by excessive reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation and accumulation of lipid peroxidates(Stockwell et al.,2020).Lipid peroxides are normally eliminated by glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)and its co-factor glutathione(GSH),which convert lipid hydroperoxides to non-toxic lipid alcohols.Thus,ferroptosis can be artificially induced by pharmacological agents that disrupt this lipid repair system,allowing lethal accumulation of lipid peroxides.Such agents include direct GPX4 enzymatic inhibitors,as well as the small molecule erastin,which suppress glutathione synthesis and indirectly suppress GPX4 activation(Stockwell et al.,2020).Although activation of p53 expression is able to modulate ferroptosis induced by GPX4 inhibition in certain cell types(Jiang et al.,2015),p53-mediated ferroptotic responses are also observed upon ROS-induced stress,apparently through a GPX4-independent manner(Chu et al.,2019).Nevertheless,the molecular factors that modulate p53-dependent ferroptosis upon ROS stress need further elucidation.Sirt3 is a NAD-dependent deacetylase predominantly localized in mitochondria,which functions in multiple metabolic pathways,including electron transport chain,fatty acid oxidation,amino acid metabolism,redox balance,and the tricarboxylic acid(TCA)cycle(Van de Ven et al.,2017).Here,we identified Sirt3 as a novel repressor in p53-mediated ferroptosis induced by ROS stress.Ying Jin Wei Gu Weichang Chen 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,2:3
13The role of oxygen vacancies in the high cycling endurance and quantum conductance in BiVO4-based resistive switching memory显示文摘Resistive random access memory(RRAM)has emerged as a new discipline promoting the development of new materials and devices toward a broad range of electronic and energy applications.Here,we realized a memristive device with weak dependence on the top electrodes and demonstrated the quantized conductance(QC)nature in BiVO4 matrix.The electronic properties have been investigated by the measurements of I-V curves,where the resistive switching(RS)phenomenon with stable switching ratio and excellent longterm retention capabilities are identified.Two more inert materials,TiN and Pd,are applied as the top electrodes to exclude the influence of electrodes on the RS states and QC behavior.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results and transport measurements reveal that the conductive filament(CF)is composed by elemental bismuth.The naturally existed oxygen vacancies in BiVO4 matrix plays as the role of catalyst in the formation and dissolution of CF in BiVO4-based RRAM device,which is the primary cause for the observed weak dependence of switching performance in this device on the type of top electrodes.Our results clearly illustrate that BiVO4 could be a new idea platform to realize the high scalability,high cycling endurance,and multilevel storage RRAM devices.Mengting Zhao Xiaobing Yan Long Ren Mengliu Zhao Fei Guo Jincheng Zhuang Yi Du Weichang Hao 2020InfoMat2020,2,5:2
14A high-Tc dc-SQUID-based single-channel MCG and its performance显示文摘A single-channel high-Tc dc-SQUID magnetometer and gradiometer have been developed to record the magnetic field component perpendicular to the human chest generated by heart-beat. Magnetocardiogram (MCG) measurements have been carried out inside a magnetically shielded room. By sequentially adjusting a non-magnetic patient table with 5 cm pitch in X and Y directions, the field signals on a rectangle grid 5×5 over the chest area were registered in real time trace point by point with a typical dwell time over 30 cardiocycles each. Utilizing standard electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings as timing reference measured simultaneously with the MCG signals, the MCG data were then averaged and combined to form magnetic field patterns every 10 ms or so. Both the current dipole, which is parallel to MCG measuring plane and produces the vertical magnetic field, and its depth were determined as a function of time in a standard way.
