| 1 | Valuation of Forest Ecosystem Services and Benefit Sharing:A Case Study of Qingdao City, China显示文摘The forest ecosystem goods and services and the natural capital stocks that produce them make great contribution to national economy and human welfare both directly and indirectly. This paper evaluates the economic value of natural capital stock and the annual output flow of forest ecosystem goods and services taking Qingdao City and its eight districts as case study. The results of the valuation study showed, that the stock value of forest natural capital of Qingdao was RMB 13.46 billion at the end of 2007. The flow value of annual output of forest ecosystem goods and services of Qingdao was RMB 26.76 billion which amounted to 7.07% of its GDP of 2007. However, the share of forest goods and services actually included in its GDP of 2007, in accordance with the current national accounting system, was only 0.71%. Among the annual flows the value of intangible forest ecosystem services alone accounted for 70.90% of total flows which was 2.44 times the value of forest material goods. These non- market forest benefits mainly contributed to the non-forestry sectors of the economy and to the social groups who did not own and manage the forests. Extensive policy implications were analyzed as per the results of the forest valuation study. | WU Shuirong1 GUO Shitao2 LIN Qiao’e2 YAN Xiujing3 HOU Yuanzhao1 1. | 2 | A Novel Risk Assessment Model for Privacy Security in Internet of Things显示文摘Aiming at the issues of privacy security in Internet of Things(IoT)applications,we propose an effective risk assessment model to handle probabilistic causality of evaluation factors and derive weights of influence-relation of propagation paths. The model undertakes probabilistic inference and generates values of risk probability for assets and propagation paths by using Bayesian causal relation-network and prior probability.According to Bayesian network(BN)structure, the risk analysts can easily find out relevant risk propagation paths and calculate weight values of each path by using decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory(DEMATEL).This model is applied to determine the risk level of assets and each risk propagation path as well as implement countermeasure of recommendation in accordance with evaluation results. The simulation analysis shows that this model efficiently revises recommendation of countermeasures for decision-makers and mitigates risk to an acceptable range,in addition,it provides the theoretical basis for decision-making of privacy security risk assessment(PSRA)for further development in IoT area. | WU Tianshui ZHAO Gang | 2014 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2014,19,5: | 2 |
| 3 | Reliability of Relative Paleointensity Recorded in Chinese Loess-Paleosol Sediments显示文摘A detailed paleomagnetic and rock-magnetic investigation spanning loess L7 to paleosol S8 has been carried out at the Baoji and Xifeng sections. Results of anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility confirm that the studied loess-paleosol sediments retain primary sedimentary fabrics. Stepwise thermal demagnetization shows that two well-defined magnetization components can be isolated from both loess and paleosol specimens. A low-temperature component, isolated between 100°C and 200°C, is consistent with the present geomagnetic field direction, and a high-temperature component, isolated between 200-300°C and 620-680°C, includes clearly normal and reversed polarities. Isothermal remanent magnetization and thermomagnetic analyses indicate that characteristic remanent magnetization is mainly carried by magnetite and hematite. The Day plot, together with the stratigraphic variations of rock-magnetic parameters, shows that the uniformity of magnetic mineralogy and grain size fulfills the criteria for relative paleointensity (RPI) studies. RPI records have been constructed using natural remanent magnetization (NRM) intensity after thermal demagnetization at 300°C normalized by low-frequency magnetic susceptibility (NRM 300 /χ). The results show that the RPI record from the Baoji section, where pedogenesis is quite weak, is compatible with the stacked PISO-1500 paleointensity record, suggesting that it might reflect the paleointensity variation of the geomagnetic field. The RPI record from the Xifeng section, where pedogenesis is rather strong, indicates a clear dissimilarity with the stacked PISO-1500 paleointensity record, implying that it does not reflect the paleointensity variation of the geomagnetic field. Our new results show that the NRM 300 /χ from the strongly pedogenetic paleosols does not completely eliminate the pedogenetic (climatic) influence, so it might be unsuitable for a reliable paleointensity study. | YANG Tianshui LI Haiyan WU Huaichun YANG Zhenyu ZHANG Shihong HYODO Masayuki | 2012 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,5: | 2 |
| 4 | Research on the effect of the component proportion in the new water mist additive on firefighting performance显示文摘Water mist technology provides efficient firefighting performance while there is still room for improvement. So varieties of additives have been studied in recent years both at home and abroad. The self-made additives are used to compare the firefighting performance of diesel and heptane fire in open space. By adjusting the concentration of substance in the additives and conducting the experiment under the pressure of 0.3 MPa,0.5 MPa and 0.7 MPa,extinguish time and temperature are measured in the experiment. Through the experiments using different fuels,it can be found when the fuel is heptane that has a lower ignition point and a higher evaporation rate, the water mist additive can still significantly improve the firefighting performance. According to the data based on different concentrations of fluorinated surfactants,we find that fluorinated surfactants are the main substance to improve the performances by changing physical property of water mist. Optimal proportion of the additives for firefighting performance is found by experiment results. | Ji Huanle Zhang Qingsong Wu Binbin Liang Tianshui | 2013 | Engineering Sciences2013,11,6: | 1 |
| 5 | High-frequency polarity swings during the Gauss-Matuyama reversal from Baoji loess sediment显示文摘Paleomagnetic records of the Gauss-Matuyama reversal were obtained from two loess sections at Baoji on the Chinese Loes Plateau. Stepwise thermal demagnetization shows two obvious magnetization components. A low-temperature component iso lated between 100 and 200–250℃ is close to the present geomagnetic field direction, and a high-temperature component iso lated above 200–250℃ reveals clearly normal, reversed, and transitional polarities. Magnetostratigraphic results of both sec tions indicated that the Gauss-Matuyama reversal consists of a high-frequency polarity fluctuation zone, but the characteristic remanent magnetization directions during the reversal are clearly inconsistent. Rock magnetic experiments demonstrated tha for all the specimens with normal, reversed, and transitional polarities magnetite and hematite are the main magnetic carriers Anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility indicates that the studied loess sediments have a primary sedimentary fabric. Based on virtual geomagnetic pole latitudes, the Gauss-Matuyama reversal records in the two sections are accompanied by 14 short-lived geomagnetic episodes(15 rapid polarity swings) and 12 short-lived geomagnetic episodes(13 rapid polarity swings), respec tively. Our new records, together with previous ones from lacustrine, marine, and aeolian deposits, suggest that high-frequency polarity swings coexist with the Gauss-Matuyama reversal, and that the Gauss-Matuyama reversal may have taken more than11 kyr to complete. However, we need more detailed analyses of sections across polarity swings during reversals as well a more high-resolution reversal records to understand geomagnetic behavior and inconsistent characteristic remanent magnetiza tion directions during polarity reversals. | YANG TianShui Masayuki HYODO YANG ZhenYu ZHANG ShiHong Toshiaki MISHIMA WU HuaiChun LI HaiYan LI Yi SHI XingAn WANG Kan MA YiMing | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,8: | 0 |
