1Conditions for void formation in friction stir welding from machine learning显示文摘Friction stir welded joints often contain voids that are detrimental to their mechanical properties.Here we investigate the conditions for void formation using a decision tree and a Bayesian neural network.Three types of input data sets including unprocessed welding parameters and computed variables using an analytical and a numerical model of friction stir welding were examined.One hundred and eight sets of independent experimental data on void formation for the friction stir welding of three aluminum alloys,AA2024,AA2219,and AA6061,were analyzed.The neural network-based analysis with welding parameters,specimen and tool geometries,and material properties as input predicted void formation with 83.3% accuracy.When the potential causative variables,i.e.,temperature,strain rate,torque,and maximum shear stress on the tool pin were computed from an approximate analytical model of friction stir welding,90 and 93.3%accuracies of prediction were obtained using the decision tree and the neural network,respectively.When the same causative variables were computed from a rigorous numerical model,both the neural network and the decision tree predicted void formation with 96.6% accuracy.Among these four causative variables,the temperature and maximum shear stress showed the maximum influence on void formation.Yang Du Tuhin Mukherjee Tarasankar DebRoy 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:3
2In-Situ Hydrothermal Synthesis of Bi–Bi2O2CO3 Heterojunction Photocatalyst with Enhanced Visible Light Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘Bismuth containing nanomaterials recently received increasing attention with respect to environmental applications because of their low cost, high stability and nontoxicity. In this work, Bi–Bi_2O_2CO_3 heterojunctions were fabricated by in-situ decoration of Bi nanoparticles on Bi_2O_2CO_3 nanosheets via a simple hydrothermal synthesis approach. X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and high-resolution TEM(HRTEM) were used to confirm the morphology of the nanosheet-like heterostructure of the Bi–Bi_2O_2CO_3 composite. Detailed ultrafast electronic spectroscopy reveals that the in-situ decoration of Bi nanoparticles on Bi_2O_2CO_3 nanosheets exhibit a dramatically enhanced electron-hole pair separation rate, which results in an extraordinarily high photocatalytic activity for the degradation of a model organic dye, methylene blue(MB) under visible light illumination. Cycling experiments revealed a good photochemical stability of the Bi–Bi_2O_2CO_3 heterojunction under repeated irradiation. 3Thermal analysis of a constructal T-shaped porous fin with simultaneous heat and mass transfer显示文摘The present work establishes an analytical model for computing the temperature distribution, fin efficiency and optimum design parameters of a constructal T-shaped porous fin operating in fully wet condition. For more practical results, this study considers a cubic polynomial relationship between the humidity ratio of saturated air and the corresponding fin surface temperature. The temperature distribution has been determined by solving the highly non-linear governing equations using a semi-analytical transformation technique called Differential Transform Method. A comparison of the results with that of a numerical model shows that this transformation method is a very efficient and convenient tool for solution of non-linear problems. The effects of various geometric, thermo-physical and psychometric parameters on the temperature distribution, fin efficiency and optimum design condition have been investigated. 4Nanocellulose,a versatile platform:From the delivery of active molecules to tissue engineering applications显示文摘Nanocellulose,a biopolymer,has received wide attention from researchers owing to its superior physicochemical properties,such as high mechanical strength,low density,biodegradability,and biocompatibility.Nanocellulose can be extracted from wide range of sources,including plants,bacteria,and algae.Depending on the extraction process and dimensions(diameter and length),they are categorized into three main types:cellulose nanocrystals(CNCs),cellulose nanofibrils(CNFs),and bacterial nanocellulose(BNC).CNCs are a highly crystalline and needle-like structure,whereas CNFs have both amorphous and crystalline regions in their network.BNC is the purest form of nanocellulose.The nanocellulose properties can be tuned by chemical functionalization,which increases its applicability in biomedical applications.This review highlights the fabrication of different surface-modified nanocellulose to deliver active molecules,such as drugs,proteins,and plasmids.Nanocellulose-mediated delivery of active molecules is profoundly affected by its topographical structure and the interaction between the loaded molecules and nanocellulose.The applications of nanocellulose and its composites in tissue engineering have been discussed.Finally,the review is concluded with further opportunities and challenges in nanocellulose-mediated delivery of active molecules.Tejal V.Patil Dinesh K.Patel Sayan Deb Dutta Keya Ganguly Tuhin Subhra Santra Ki-Taek Lim 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:2
5人胎盘提取液的抗炎和抗血小板聚集作用显示文摘AIM:To find the anti-inflammatory and anti-platelet aggregatory acivity of human placental extract(HPE,Placentrex),METHODS:The HPE was studied for anti-inflammatory effect in wistar rats on carrageenin,serotonin(5-HT),and prostaglandin E1(PGE1) induced edema in acute model and cotton pellet induced granuloma on sub-acute model.Anti-platelet aggregation was studied against protection of adinosine diphosphate (ADP)-induced aggregation of human platelet through in vitro study,RESULTS:HPE showed positive results both in acute and sub-acute models of inflammation.Highly significant(P<0.01),results were obtained against 5-HT induced acute inflammation and cotton pellet induced sub-acute inflammation in comparison with standard (diclofenac sodium)and control (normal saline) drugs.The anti-inflammatory property of HPE in animal model was well supported with clincal study of platelet aggregation.There was highly significant (P<0.01) inhibition of platelet aggregation with HPE at different doses against ADP.CONCLUSION:Our data suggest that human placental extract may be useful in suppressing inflammation and platelet aggregation.SUR Tapas Kumar BISWAS Tuhin Kanti ALI Liaquat MUKHERJEE Biswapati 2003Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2003,24,2:2

METIHODS: Fullthickness wounds were inflicted on depilated dorsum ofCharles foster rats with 8 mm Acu-punch biopsy. TheHPE was applied both at topical and im routes (2.5 mL/kg). Effects were compared on the basis of physicalcriteria, biochemical criteria, and histopathological studywith respect to untreated control, vehicle control (1. 5%benzyl alcohol), and framycetin topical treated groups.RESULTS: Significant lowering of wound size(P<0.05), wound index(P<0.05), and number of daysrequired for complete healing (P<0.01); significantgain in tensile strength(P<0.01); appreciable increaseof tissue DNA, total protein, and collagenesis wereobserved in HPE treated group.
