1Phase Behavior and Crystal Structure of Perovskite-Type Rare Earth Complex Oxides显示文摘Several compounds of rare earth complex oxides containing manganese and titanium were synthesized in Ar, and their crystal structures were analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction data and Rietveld method. Structures of A 0.67 Ln 0.33 Mn 0.33 Ti 0.67 O3 (A=Ca or Sr and Ln=rare earth) were found to have orthorhombic symmetry with the space group Pnma, and their interatomic distances and bond angles were obtained. This space group was also derived from electron microscopic study. Electrical conductivity of Ca 0.67 Ln 0.33 Mn 0.33 Ti 0.67 O3 for several rare earth elements showed a semiconducting property with the activation energy of 0.4 eV. 2Jurassic-Cretaceous Boundary Strata of the Somanakamura Group in NE Japan and their Correlation with Coeval Terrestrial Deposits in China显示文摘Defining the Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary is a controversy in stratigraphic study of the world. It has been widely accepted that this boundary can be defined at the bottom of Berriasian in Tethys, with the appearance of the ammonite Berriasella jacobi dating to ca. 145 Ma. However, it is difficult for the widespread terrestrial deposits in China to correlate with the international standard of marine facies. The Somanakamura Group in Japan is represented by a succession of marinecontinental transitional strata. It provides a bridge of marine and nonmarine stratigraphic correlation. The ammonite and radiolarian fossils preserved in this group suggest an age from Bajocian to early Valanginian. The J-K boundary was defined in or atop the Tomizawa Formation of the group according to the ammonite data. The present authors study the fossil spores and pollen newly found from the Tomizawa and Koyamada formations. Three assemblages have been recognized. They are Assemblage 1(Cyathidites-Classopollis) from the upper part of the Tomizawa Formation, Assemblage 2(Cyathidites-Jiaohepollis) from the lower part of the Koyamada Formation, and Assemblage 3(Cyathidites-Spheripollenites-Ephedripites) from the middle to upper part of the Koyamada Formation. With the reference of ammonite evidence, the J-K boundary can be defined between Assemblage 1 and Assemblage 2. This palynological J-K boundary can be correlated with that of terrestrial sequence in China. However, local biostratigraphy imply that the continental J-K boundary in China is of 135 or 137 Ma age. It has a considerable discrepancy from the marine standard. Biogeographically, the distribution pattern of spores and pollen in southern China is in accordance with that in the Somanakamura Group, which parallels the Tuchengzi Formation in northeastern China. 3WRF Environment Assessment in Guangzhou City with an Extracted Land-use Map from the Remote Sensing Data in 2000 as an Example显示文摘Mesoscale urban environment forecast combined with WRF is a current frontier in international academic. Taking Guangzhou as an example,the new land-use model presented by the present authors,the existing USGS and MODIS models in WRF were firstly compared to the remote sensing model in this article.The comparison result shows that the land-use model presented by the authors has the highest similarity with the remote sensing data. Secondly,the new land-use model was used to replace the defaulted land-use data in WRF for simulation. By comparing this simulation results with the WRF results using the defaulted USGS and MODIS model,it was showed that the geographic models have a great impact on the mesoscale environment forecast result. Also,the geographic information model presented in this article shows the best accuracy when comparing with the observation data. 5Normalization of VIIRS DNB images for improved estimation of socioeconomic indicators显示文摘Monthly Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite(VIIRS)Day-Night Band(DNB)composite data are widely used in research,such as estimations of socioeconomic parameters.However,some surface conditions affect the VIIRS DNB radiance,which may create some estimation bias in certain regions.In this paper,we propose a novel normalization algorithm for VIIRS DNB monthly composite data.The aim is to normalize VIIRS radiance,collected under different surface conditions,to a reference point,so that the bias is reduced.The algorithm is based on the utilization of stable lit pixels as a reference and a nonlinear regression algorithm,to match un-normalized data to the reference data.Experimental results show that the algorithm could improve correlation(R2)between the total sum of nightlights(TOL),electric power consumption(EPC),and gross domestic product(GDP)at both a global and local scale.The algorithm could significantly diminish the seasonal component of un-normalized nightlights radiance caused by snow.The intensified nightlights radiance in sandy regions could also be reduced to a more reasonable range in comparison with other regions.Visual inspection shows that the brightness of snow-affected and sandy regions was strongly reduced after undergoing normalization.Man Duc Chuc Tsubasa Hirakawa Hiromichi Fukuic 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,5:1
