A series of technical challenges were confronted, including illite purification, Ar recoil loss, and separation of diagenetic illite from detrital illite. | 3 | Experimental study on the laminar flame speed of hydrogen/natural gas/air mixtures显示文摘Laminar flame speeds of hydrogen/natural gas/air mixtures have been measured over a full range of fuel compositions(0-100%volumetric fraction of H_(2))and a wide range of equivalence ratio using Bunsen burner.High sensitivity scientific CCD camera is use to capture the image of laminar flame.The reaction zone area is employed to calculate the laminar flame speed.The initial temperature and pressure of fuel air mixtures are 293 K and 1 atm.The laminar flame speeds of hydrogen/air mixture and natural gas/air mixture reach their maximum values 2.933 and 0.374 m/s when equivalence ratios equal to 1.7 and 1.1,respectively.The laminar flame speeds of hydrogen/natural gas/air mixtures rise with the increase of volumetric fraction of hydrogen.Moreover,the increase in laminar flame speed as the volumetric fraction of hydrogen increases presents an exponential increasing trend versus volumetric fraction of hydrogen.Empirical formulas to calculate the laminar flame speeds of hydrogen,natural gas,and hydrogen/natural gas mixtures are also given.Using these formulas,the laminar flame speed at different hydrogen fractions and equivalence ratios can be calculated. | Chen DONG Qulan ZHOU Xiaoguang ZHANG Qinxin ZHAO Tongmo XU Shi’en HUI | 2010 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2010,4,4: | 4 |
| 4 | A Thermal Event in the Ordos Basin:Insights from Illite ^40Ar-^39Ar Dating with Regression Analysis显示文摘Four samples from a Permian reservoir in the Ordos Basin of North China were separated into twelve fractions in grain sizes of <0.5, 0.5–1 and 1–2 μm. Using the ^(40)Ar-^(39)Ar step-heating method, all of the fractions essentially yielded plateau ages ranging from 172.5 to 217.1 Ma. These scattered plateau ages might not have been obtained from pure diagenetic illites but from mixed clay minerals, although the samples were disaggregated using a gentle freeze-thaw cycle to free them of non-clay minerals. A regional thermal event, as suggested by several proxies, led to intensive illitization as a distinct diagenetic process when the Yanshanian Movement triggered magmatism around the entire North China Block during the Jurassic to Cretaceous. Thermal illites formed during a short time period, whereas detrital illites came from various sources. The scattered plateau ages could have resulted from mixed degassing of thermal and detrital illites. Within one sample, the plateau ages decrease with the diminution of grain sizes, but it is difficult to extrapolate to the detrital-illite-free ages. Because the plateau age is a mixture of ages for thermal and detrital illites, this regression analysis studies the dependence of the plateau ages on the synthetic values of contents and ages of detrital illites instead of on the grain sizes. Comparing the samples to one another, the plateau ages show the same trend among the different grain sizes. Weighted by the contents and ages of detrital illites, linear regression analysis revealed the relationship between the plateau ages and the relative weight proportions. Based on iterated calculations, a thermal event age and a set of weight proportions were derived. | 5 | Laser micro-area analysis of^(40) Ar- ^(39) Ar isochron age for Fanshan superlarge alunite deposit, Zhejiang Province, China显示文摘Laser micro area analysis 40 Ar 39 Ar isochron dating for pure alunite is first reported. Micro area 40 Ar 39 Ar isochron dating results revealed that the metallogenetic epoch of Fanshan superlarge alunite deposit is 74.50 Ma, and this age is 10-20 Ma later than that of regional volcanic activity.
