| 2 | Storage and repair bandwidth tradeoff for distributed storage systems with clusters and separate nodes显示文摘The optimal tradeoff between node storage and repair bandwidth is an important issue for distributed storage systems(DSSs). For realistic DSSs with clusters, while repairing a failed node, downloading more data from intra-cluster nodes than from cross-cluster nodes is effective. Therefore, differentiating the repair bandwidth from intra-cluster and cross-cluster is useful. For cluster DSSs, the tradeoff is considered with special repair assumptions where all alive nodes are used for repairing a failed node. In this paper, we investigate the optimal tradeoff for the cluster DSSs under more general storage/repair parameters. Furthermore, we propose a regenerating code construction strategy that achieves the points in the optimal tradeoff curve for the cluster DSSs with specific parameters as a numerical example. | 3 | One-step co-doping of ZnO and Zn^(2+)in osteoinductive calcium phosphate ceramics with synergistic antibacterial activity for regenerative repair of infected bone defect显示文摘How to endow bone grafts with long-term antibacterial activity and good bone regenerative ability to achieve the regenerative repair of infected bone defects has been the focus of the clinical treatment of osteomyelitis.The present study introduced a novel one-step route to realizing the co-doping of zinc oxide(ZnO)and zinc ion(Zn^(2+))in biphasic calcium phosphate(BCP)ceramics to utilize their synergistic antibacterial.Compared with the conventional BCP ceramics(BCP-Ca),the ZnO/Zn^(2+)co-doping ones(BCP-Zn)possessed strong antibacterial ability on E.coli and S.aureus as well as stimulated the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)effectively.The synergistic antibacterial mechanism of ZnO and Zn^(2+)was also investigated.BCP-Zn showed excellent osteoinductivity and angiogenesis at three months postoperatively in the canine intramuscular implantation model.Moreover,BCP-Zn exhibited excellent anti-infective ability and bone regenerative repair compared to BCP-Ca and control groups in the infected bone defect model of rat femur.Collectively,these findings suggest that the simultaneous introduction of ZnO/Zn^(2+)could have immense potential to expand the application of osteoinductive BCP ceramics in the regenerative repair of infected bone defects. | Tinghan He Hongxu Chen Puxin Liu Hao Shi Xiujuan Xu Cong Feng Yuyi Wang Xiangfeng Li Ning Lei Yumei Xiao Xiangdong Zhu Jianguo Xu Xingdong Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,32: | 1 |

| 6 | An empirical research on strategic planning in public libraries of China's Mainland显示文摘Purpose: As an important issue, strategic planning in public libraries has been paid more attention in China recent years. However, a comprehensive and systematic research, especially strategic models based on empirical studies, is required in the public library strategic planning. The purpose of this research is to investigate the current practices and propose an appropriate reference and guidance of strategic planning in public libraries in China's Mainland.Design/methodology/approach: A questionnaire-based survey method is carried out to collect the views of public libraries staff at different levels in China's Mainland. The questionnaire is designed on the following four aspects toward strategic planning in public libraries: The attitude, the status quo, basic issues and the guides. The 882 valid questionnaires are processed by a statistic analysis to reflect the current practices of strategic planning in public libraries in China's Mainland.Findings: Our research results reveal that the unclear and confused understanding of the strategic planning still exist among the public libraries staff in China's Mainland. However, the majority of respondents still believe that the strategic planning in public libraries is significant and the library developments will be affected for lacking strategic planning. Moreover, it is considerable that the strategic plans are jointly made by independent agencies and public libraries, or by the public library itself. Also, guidelines and a set of softwares in strategic planning are needed.Research limitations/implications: The study was restricted to six main areas in China. A wider geographic sampling can preferable show the basic status of strategic planning in public libraries.The procedures of data collection would be another limitation. Nevertheless, case studies should be used in the further research.Originality: The importance of this research originates from a large number of first-hand data about strategic planning in public libraries in China's Mainland. The results provide extra perception into the future development of Chinese public libraries. | 7 | QoS-aware interference management for vehic-ular D2D relay networks显示文摘Vehicular network communication technology is currently attracting a considerable amount of attention.We consider a scenario in which vehicular communication nodes share the same spectrum resources and generate interference with other nodes.Compared with traditional interference-avoiding vehicular communications,this paper aims to increase the number of accessed communication links under the premise of satisfying the required QoS.In our research,communication nodes have opportunities to select relay nodes to both help improve their data transmissions and reduce their transmit power in order to decrease interference with other links while still satisfying their QoS requirements.Based on these objectives,we propose an innovative interference management method that considers link selection,power adaption,and communication mode selection simultaneously to maximize the number of communication links with the lowest power cost.Compared with traditional link-selection and power-adaption interference management schemes,the proposed scheme improves QoS satisfaction with high energy effciency.Simulation results demonstrate both the effciency and the e ectiveness of the proposed scheme. | Tinghan Yang Xiang Cheng Xia Shen Shanzhi Chen Liuqing Yang | 2017 | Journal of Communications and Information Networks2017,2,2: | 0 |
| 8 | Significance of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) in the development of rectal carcinoma显示文摘Objective: To study the ERK expression and its significance in the development of human rectal carcinoma. Methods: Samples were obtained from 62 patients with rectal carcinoma, including tumor tissue and adjacent normal rectal tissue. Western blot was used to measure the expression of ERK-1 and ERK-2. S-P immunohistochemical method was used to count the microvessel density (MVD). Results: ERK-1 and ERK-2 protein levels were increased in rectal carcinoma tissue compared with those in adjacent normal tissues (t = 2.980 and 2.194, P < 0.01 and 0.05 respectively). The MVD was higher in patients with higher ERK-1 and/or ERK-2 protein levels than that in cases with lower ERK-1 and/or ERK-2 levels.
