Prediction of radiosensitivity in primary central nervous system germ cell tumors using dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCEMRI) for predicting tumor response to radiotherapy in patients with suspected primary central nervous system(CNS) germ cell tumors(GCTs).Methods: DCE-MRI parameters of 35 patients with suspected primary CNS GCTs were obtained prior to diagnostic radiation, using the Tofts and Kermode model. Radiosensitivity was determined in tumors diagnosed 2 weeks after radiation by observing changes in tumor size and markers as a response to MRI. Taking radiosensitivity as the gold standard, the cut-off value of DCE-MRI parameters was measured by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve. Diagnostic accuracy of DCE-MRI parameters for predicting radiosensitivity was evaluated by ROC curve. Results: A significant elevation in transfer constant(Ktrans) and extravascular extracellular space(Ve)(P=0.000), as well as a significant reduction in rate constant(Kep)(P=0.000) was observed in tumors. Ktrans, relative Ktrans, and relative Kep of the responsive group were significantly higher than non-responsive groups. No significant difference was found in Kep, Ve, and relative Ve between the two groups. Relative Ktrans showed the best diagnostic value in predicting radiosensitivity with a sensitivity of 100%, specificity of 91.7%, positive predictive value(PPV) of 95.8%, and negative predictive value(NPV) of 100%.Conclusions: Relative Ktrans appeared promising in predicting tumor response to radiation therapy(RT). It is implied that DCE-MRI pre-treatment is a requisite step in diagnostic procedures and a novel and reliable approach to guide clinical choice of RT.Chenlu Feng Peiyi Gao Xiaoguang Qiu Tianyi Qian Yan Lin Jian Zhou Binbin Sui 2015Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,3:3
Diamond wheel grinding characteristics of 3D orthogonal quartz fiber reinforced silica ceramic matrix composite显示文摘Fiber-reinforced silica ceramic matrix composites(SiO_(2) f/SiO_(2))have gained extensive attention in recent years for its applications in aeronautics field such as radar radome and window. However, the machining properties and mechanism of the material remain unclear. The features and mechanical properties of the material itself have a significant influence on both its machining characteristics and surface integrity. Thus,a full-factor grinding experiment is conducted using a 3 D orthogonal SiO_(2) f/SiO_(2) aiming to obtain its machining characteristics. The effects of grinding parameters and tools on the grinding force, surface roughness, and material damage type are investigated using a dynamometer,Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM),and Acoustic Emission(AE)analysis. The AE frequency band is analyzed, and a semi-analytical force model is established to study the difference between a single grain and wheel grinding. It was found that the changes in surface roughness correlate with the changes in grinding force, with fiber fracture being the main reason behind the increase in grinding force. Finally, the material removal mechanism was studied based on the AE analysis. It was found that the removal mechanism is fiber fracture dominated with matrix crack and debonding, and the primary sources of energy consumption are fiber fracture and friction.Bin LIN Haoji WANG Jinhua WEI Tianyi SUI 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,5:2
IABC: An iteratively automatic machine learning boosted hand-eye calibration method for laser displacement sensor显示文摘An on-machine measuring(OMM)system with a laser displacement sensor(LDS)is designed for measuring free-form surfaces of hypersonic aircraft’s radomes. To improve the measurement accuracy of the OMM system,a novel Iteratively Automatic machine learning Boosted hand-eye Calibration(IABC)method is proposed. Both the hand-eye relationship and LDS measurement errors can be calibrated in one calibration process without any hardware changes via IABC.Firstly,a new objective function is derived, containing analytical parameters of the handeye relationship and LDS errors. Then,a hybrid calibration model composed of two kernels is proposed to solve the objective function. One kernel is the analytical kernel designed for solving analytical parameters.Another kernel is the automatic machine learning(AutoML)kernel designed to model LDS errors. The two kernels are connected with stepwise iterations to find the best calibration results.Compared with traditional methods,hand-eye experiments show that IABC reduces the calibration RMSE by about 50%.Verification experiments show that IABC reduces the measurement deviations by about 25%-50%and RMSEs within 40%.Even when the training data are obviously less than the test data,IABC performs well.Experiments demonstrate that IABC is more accurate than traditional hand-eye methods.Helin LI Bin LIN Tianyi SUI Liang XU Chen ZHANG Shuai YAN Yang WANG Xinquan HAO Deyu LOU 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,8:0
Carbon fiber cannot always reduce the wear of PEEK for orthopedic implants under DPPC lubrication显示文摘Excellent wear resistance is an important feature of orthopedic implants. However, although pure polyetheretherketone(PEEK)is outperformed by carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK(CF-PEEK)for stability and durability under laboratory conditions,it is not clear whether CF-PEEK should be preferred in all real-world applications. Results indicate that, under dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine(DPPC)lubrication, the wear rates of PEEK are 35%-80%lower than the wear rates of CF-PEEK for different implant materials, speeds, loadings, and DPPC concentrations.Molecular dynamics calculations confirm that DPPC self-assembles on the PEEK surface to form an easily adsorbed continuous phospholipid lubricating film.In contrast, the carbon fibers on the CF-PEEK surface hinder the formation of the protective DPPC film and the CF-PEEK surface is thus subject to faster wear.Shuai YAN Shichao MEN Hongbo ZOU Haoji WANG Zhongjiang ZHANG Chunshen WANG Tianyi SUI Bin LIN 2023Friction2023,11,3:0
Interference mechanism and damage accumulation in high-speed cross scratches on hard brittle materials显示文摘Precision and low damage grinding of aviation optical elements can effectively improve the overall processing efficiency. The mechanism of high-speed cross scuffing of multiple abrasive particles has become an important factor affecting the forming quality of workpiece.Interaction of abrasive trajectory determines machined surface and subsurface morphology and damage.According to the relative motion trajectory of wear particles on the workpiece surface,a theoretical model of the trochoidal trajectory intersection angle is proposed.High-speed scratches with different cross angles are experimentally obtained to explore the interference mechanism and damage accumulation of cross scratches. The results indicate that the Crack system I and Crack system II,produced by the two cross scratches, are mainly based on the stress principle and the strength principle, respectively. An increase in the damage radius is observed with a decrease in the crossing angle.Furthermore,as the duration of the normal cutting force decomposition curve at the entrance/exit of the intersection increases, the half-peak width also increases. The accumulation of cross-scratch damage promotes the propagation of deep subsurface lateral and median cracks. In other words, damage accumulation and interference mechanism formed by the cross scratches increase the longitudinal depth and lateral length of the damage.Feifei ZHAO Bin LIN Yuanping HE Tianyi SUI 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,3:0
Gold nanoparticles/single-stranded DNA-reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites based electrochemical biosensor for highly sensitive detection of cholesterol显示文摘High density and uniform distribution of the gold nanoparticles functionalized single-stranded DNA modified reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites were obtained by non-covalent interaction. The positive gold nanoparticles prepared by phase inversion method exhibited good dimensional homogeneity and dispersibility, which could readily combine with single-stranded DNA modified reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites by electrostatic interactions. The modification of single-stranded DNA endowed the reduced graphene oxide with favorable biocompatibility and provided the preferable surface with negative charge for further assembling of gold nanoparticles to obtain gold nanoparticles/single-stranded DNA modified reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites with better conductivity, larger specific surface area, biocompatibility and electrocatalytic characteristics. The as-prepared nanocomposites were applied as substrates for the construction of cholesterol oxidase modified electrode and well realized the direct electron transfer between the enzyme and electrode. The modified gold nanoparticles could further catalyze the products of cholesterol oxidation catalyzed by cholesterol oxidase, which was beneficial to the enzyme-catalyzed reaction. The as-fabricated bioelectrode exhibited excellent electrocatalytic performance for the cholesterol with a linear range of 7.5–280.5μmol·L^(−1),a low detection limit of 2.1μmol·L^(−1),good stability and reproducibility. Moreover, the electrochemical biosensor showed good selectivity and acceptable accuracy for the detection of cholesterol in human serum samples.Shuyao Wu Chengquan Sui Chong Wang Yulu Wang Dongqing He Ying Sun Yu Zhang Qingbo Meng Tianyi Ma Xi-Ming Song 2021Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,6:0
