| 1 | Origin of ore-forming fluid in the Piaotang tungsten deposit in Jiangxi Province:Evidence from helium and argon isotopes显示文摘The Piaotang tungsten deposit in Jiangxi Province is one of the most important tungsten deposits in the South China Tungsten Metallogenic Province.In this study,we selected wolframite and chalcopyrite from the main mineralizing stage of the Piaotang tungsten deposit,and analyzed the helium and argon isotopic compositions in fluid inclusions of these minerals.The results show a 3He/4He ratio of 0.17 to 0.86 R/Ra,which fall within the range between continental crust(0.01―0.05 R/Ra) and air-saturated water(1 R/Ra) ,but are significantly lower than those of the normal mantle(6―9 R/Ra) .Their 40 Ar/36 Ar ratios are between 354.5 and 590.7,which are slightly higher than the air-saturated water(295.5) .Along with the other geochemical observation such as the lithium enrichments in the ore bodies and the ore-related granites,we suggest that the ore-forming fluid in the Piaotang tungsten deposit was mainly derived from crustal fluid.It may have mixed with some amounts of air-saturated water,but there was no considerable involvement of mantle-derived fluid. | WANG XuDong 1,2,3,NI Pei 1,2,3,JIANG ShaoYong 1,3,ZHAO KuiDong 1,3 & WANG TianGang 1,2,3 1State Key Laboratory for Mineral Deposits Research,Nanjing University,Nanjing 210093,China 2Institute of Geo-Fluids,Nanjing University,Nanjing 210093,China 3 School of Earth Sciences and Engineering,Nanjing University,Nanjing 210093,China | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,7: | 26 |
| 2 | Changes in global potential vegetation distributions from 1911 to 2000 as simulated by the Comprehensive Sequential Classification System approach显示文摘Vegetation classification models play an important role in studying the response of the terrestrial ecosystem to global climate change. In this paper, we study changes in global Potential Natural Vegetation (PNV) distributions using the Comprehensive Sequential Classification System (CSCS) approach, a technique that combines geographic information systems. Results indicate that on a global scale there are good agreements among maps produced by the CSCS method and the globally well-accepted Holdridge Life Zone (HLZ) and BIOME4 PNV models. The potential vegetation simulated by the CSCS approach has 6 major latitudinal zones in the northern hemisphere and 2 in the southern hemisphere. In mountainous areas it has obvious altitudinal distribution characteristics due to topographic effects. The distribution extent for different PNV classes at various periods has different characteristics. It had a decreasing trend for the tundra and alpine steppe, desert, sub-tropical forest and tropical forest categories, and an increasing trend for the temperate forest and grassland vegetation categories. The simulation of global CSCS-based PNV classes helps to understand climate-vegetation relationships and reveals the dynamics of potential vegetation distributions induced by global changes. | 3 | A preliminary investigation on the occurrence and distribution of antibiotic resistance genes in the Beijiang River, South China显示文摘The occurrence of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) was investigated and quantified in 20 water samples collected in the Beijiang River, South China. Sulfonamide- and tetracycline-resistant bacteria were present in 17 and 14 of the collected 20 samples. For sulfonamide ARGs, sulI and sulII were frequently observed in the Beijiang River. The levels of sulI were higher than sulII (p < 0.05), with the mean values of (1.41 ± 1.12) × 10-2 and (1.58 ± 1.71) × 10-3 copies/16S rDNA, respectively. For tetracycline ARGs, tetG had the highest frequency, 100%, followed by tetA (85%), tetO (85%), tetC (70%), tetX (60%), tetM (40%) and tetQ (20%), while tetE and tetS were not detected in all the samples from the Beijiang River. On the other hand, tetC had the highest concentration, ranging from 8.30 × 10-2 to 13.20 copies/16S rDNA. The poor correlation between ARGs and antibiotic concentrations revealed that the self-amplification and persistence of ARGs were the reasons that made ARGs exist in the water environment even though the antibiotic selecting pressure was absent. | 4 | Zircon U-Pb ages of granites at Changba and Huangzhuguan in western Qinling and implications for source nature显示文摘Mesozoic granitoids are widespread in the Qinling-Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt. Precise U-Pb dating on these granitoids can reveal the evolution of the continental collision orogen and thus provide information on the nature of magma sources. This study pre-sents zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating and whole-rock geochemical analyses for two intrusions at Changba and Huangzhuguan in western Qinling. Zircon U-Pb ages for central and marginal phases of the Huangzhuguang intrusion are 214±1 Ma and 213±3 Ma, respectively. Zircons from the Changba intrusion yield a dominant cluster with an U-Pb age of 213±2 Ma. Collectively, these ages are younger than ages of 220 to 240 Ma for ultrahigh-pressure metamorphism due to the continental collision between the South China Block and the North China Block, corresponding to syn-exhumation magmatism. Some inherited zircons occur in the Changba intrusion, yielding a weighted mean of 206Pb/238U ages at 757±14 Ma. This indicates that the Changba intrusion has the crustal source of mid-Neoproterozoic ages and a tectonic affinity to the South China Block. Geochemically, the two intrusuons are both rich in LILE and LREE but depleted in HFSE and HREE, similar to arc-type igneous rocks. The Huangzhuguang intrusion exhibits linear correlations between SiO2 and the other major oxides, implying chemical evolution from a cognate magma source. It contains mafic enclaves, suggesting possible mixing of felsic-mafic magmas. The Changba granite is rich in Si and K but poor in Fe and Mg as well as has a high value of Fe, suggesting strong differentiation of granitic magma. Therefore, the two intrusions were derived from the Late Triassic anatexis of the continental crust of different compositions in the northern margin of South China Block. | 5 | Qualitative analysis of chemical components in Lianhua Qingwen capsule by HPLC-Q Exactive-Orbitrap-MS coupled with GC-MS显示文摘The Lianhua Qingwen(LHQW) capsule is a popular traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of viral respiratory diseases.In particular,it has been recently prescribed to treat infections caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).However,due to its complex composition,little attention has been directed toward the analysis of chemical constituents present in the LHQW capsule.This study presents a reliable and comprehensive approach to characterizing the chemical constituents present in LHQW by high-performance liquid chromatography-Q Exactive-Orbitrap mass spectrometry(HPLC-Q Exactive-Orbitrap-MS) coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).An automated library alignment method with a high mass accuracy(within 5 ppm) was used for the rapid identification of compounds.A total of 104 compounds,consisting of alkaloids,flavonoids,phenols,phenolic acids,phenylpropanoids,quinones,terpenoids,and other phytochemicals,were successfully characterized.In addition,the fragmentation pathways and characteristic fragments of some representative compounds were elucidated.GC-MS analysis was conducted to characterize the volatile compounds present in LHQW.In total,17 compounds were putatively characterized by comparing the acquired data with that from the NIST library.The major constituent was menthol,and all the other compounds were terpenoids.This is the first comprehensive report on the identification of the major chemical constituents present in the LHQW capsule by HPLC-Q Exactive-Orbitrap-MS,coupled with GCMS,and the results of this study can be used for the quality control and standardization of LHQW capsules. | Shuai Fu Rongrong Cheng Zixin Deng Tiangang Liu | 2021 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,6: | 8 |
| 6 | An Overview of Mineral Dust Modeling over East Asia显示文摘East Asian dust(EAD) exerts considerable impacts on the energy balance and climate/climate change of the earth system through its influence on solar and terrestrial radiation, cloud properties, and precipitation efficiency. Providing an accurate description of the life cycle and climate effects of EAD is therefore critical to better understanding of climate change and socioeconomic development in East Asia and even worldwide. Dust modeling has undergone substantial development since the late 1990 s, associated with improved understanding of the role of EAD in the earth system. Here, we review the achievements and progress made in recent decades in terms of dust modeling research,including dust emissions, long-range transport, radiative forcing(RF), and climate effects of dust particles over East Asia. Numerous efforts in dust/EAD modeling have been directed towards furnishing more sophisticated physical and chemical processes into the models on higher spatial resolutions. Meanwhile, more systematic observations and more advanced retrieval methods for instruments that address EAD related science issues have made it possible to evaluate model results and quantify the role of EAD in the earth system, and to further reduce the uncertainties in EAD simulations. Though much progress has been made, large discrepancies and knowledge gaps still exist among EAD simulations. | 10 | Cloning and Expression Analysis of Citrus Genes Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6Responding to Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri Infection显示文摘To study the functions of the early auxin-responsive genes Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6 in citrus resistance against canker disease, we cloned Cs GH3.1and Cs GH3.6 in ‘Newhall' Navel Orange(Citrus sinensis Osbeck). They are 1 797 bp and 1 887 bp and encode 598 and 629 amino acids, respectively. In vitro mature leaves from susceptible ‘Newhall' and resistant Calamondin(C. madurensis) were inoculated by a Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri(Xac) bacterial suspension, and expression of Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6 in the two varieties were analyzed using quantitative real-time PCR(q RT-PCR). ‘Newhall' leaves were treated with different hormones for 3 days, inoculated by Xac bacterial suspension, and then the symptoms in these leaves were investigated. We used q RT-PCR to analyze the effect of different hormones on Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6 expression in ‘Newhall'leaves. The expression levels of both Cs GH3.1 and Cs GH3.6 were significantly induced by Xac in ‘Newhall' leaves, compared with levels in Calamondin leaves. 1-naphthy acetic acid(NAA) increased the hypertrophy of infection sites in ‘Newhall' leaves, while naphthyl-phthalamic acid(NPA)had no visible effect on lesion development. NAA hormone greatly improved expression of Cs GH3.1 in ‘Newhall', but not Cs GH3.6. | 20 | Post-hepatectomy liver regeneration in the context of bile acid homeostasis and the gut-liver signaling axis显示文摘Background:Liver regeneration following partial hepatectomy(PHx)is a complicated process involving multiple organs and several types of signaling networks.The bile acid-activated metabolic pathways occupy an auxiliary yet important chapter in the entire biochemical story.PHx is characterized by rapid but transient bile acid overload in the liver,which constitutes the first wave of proliferative signaling in the remnant hepatocytes.Bile acids trigger hepatocyte proliferation through activation of several nuclear receptors.Following biliary passage into the intestines,enterocytes reabsorb the bile acids,which results in the activation of farnesoid X receptor(FXR),the consequent excretion of fibroblast growth factor(FGF)19/FGF15,and its release into the enterohepatic circulation.FGF19/FGF15 subsequently binds to its cognate receptor,fibroblast growth factor receptor 4(FGFR4)complexed withβ-klotho,on the hepatocyte membrane,which initiates the second wave of proliferative signaling.Because some bile acids are toxic,the remnant hepatocytes must resolve the potentially detrimental state of bile acid excess.Therefore,the hepatocytes orchestrate a bile acid detoxification and elimination response as a protective mechanism in concurrence with the proliferative signaling.The response in part results in the excretion of(biotransformed)bile acids into the canalicular system,causing the bile acids to end up in the intestines.Relevance for patients:Recently,FXR agonists have been shown to promote regeneration via the gut-liver axis.This type of pharmacological intervention may prove beneficial for patients with hepatobiliary tumors undergoing PHx.In light of these developments,the review provides an in-depth account of the pathways that underlie post-PHx liver regeneration in the context of bile acid homeostasis in the liver and the gut-liver signaling axis. | Lianne de Haan Sarah Jvan der Lely Anne-Loes K.Warps Quincy Hofsink Pim B.Olthof Mark J.de Keijzer Daniel A.Lionarons Lionel Mendes-Dias Bote G.Bruinsma Korkut Uygun Hartmut Jaeschke Geoffrey C.Farrell Narci Teoh Rowan Fvan Golen Tiangang Li Michal Heger | 2018 | Journal of Clinical & Translational Research2018,4,1: | 2 |
