1Role of bile acids in colon carcinogenesis显示文摘Bile acids(BAs)are cholesterol derivatives synthesized in the liver and then secreted into the intestine for lipid absorption.There are numerous scientific reports describing BAs,especially secondary BAs,as strong carcinogens or promoters of colon cancers.Firstly,BAs act as strong stimulators of colorectal cancer(CRC)initiation by damaging colonic epithelial cells,and inducing reactive oxygen species production,genomic destabilization,apoptosis resistance,and cancer stem cells-like formation.Consequently,BAs promote CRC progression via multiple mechanisms,including inhibiting apoptosis,enhancing cancer cell proliferation,invasion,and angiogenesis.There are diverse signals involved in the carcinogenesis mechanism of BAs,with a major role of epidermal growth factor receptor,and its down-stream signaling,involving mitogen-activated protein kinase,phosphoinositide 3-kinase/Akt,and nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells.BAs regulate numerous genes including the human leukocyte antigen class I gene,p53,matrix metalloprotease,urokinase plasminogen activator receptor,Cyclin D1,cyclooxygenase-2,interleukin-8,and miRNAs of CRC cells,leading to CRC promotion.These evidence suggests that targeting BAs is an efficacious strategies for CRC prevention and treatment.Thi Thinh Nguyen Trong Thuan Ung Nam Ho Kim Young Do Jung 2018World Journal of Clinical Cases2018,6,13:10

3A Review of Technical Advances,Barriers,and Solutions in the Power to Hydrogen(P2H)Roadmap显示文摘Power to hydrogen(P2H)provides a promising solution to the geographic mismatch between sources of renewable energy and the market,due to its technological maturity,flexibility,and the availability of technical and economic data from a range of active demonstration projects.In this review,we aim to provide an overview of the status of P2H,analyze its technical barriers and solutions,and propose potential opportunities for future research and industrial demonstrations.We specifically focus on the transport of hydrogen via natural gas pipeline networks and end-user purification.Strong evidence shows that an addition of about 10%hydrogen into natural gas pipelines has negligible effects on the pipelines and utilization appliances,and may therefore extend the asset value of the pipelines after natural gas is depleted.To obtain pure hydrogen from hydrogen-enriched natural gas(HENG)mixtures,end-user separation is inevitable,and can be achieved through membranes,adsorption,and other promising separation technologies.However,novel materials with high selectivity and capacity will be the key to the development of industrial processes,and an integrated membrane-adsorption process may be considered in order to produce high-purity hydrogen from HENG.It is also worth investigating the feasibility of electrochemical separation(hydrogen pumping)at a large scale and its energy analysis.Cryogenics may only be feasible when liquefied natural gas(LNG)is one of the major products.A range of other technological and operational barriers and opportunities,such as water availability,byproduct(oxygen)utilization,and environmental impacts,are also discussed.This review will advance readers’understanding of P2H and foster the development of the hydrogen economy.Guoping Hu Chao Chen Hiep Thuan Lu Yue Wu Congmin Liu Lefu Tao Yuhan Men Guangli He Kevin Gang Li 2020Engineering2020,6,12:7
4Robust Finite-Time Stability and Stabilization of a Class of Fractional-Order Switched Nonlinear Systems显示文摘This paper deals with the problem of finite-time boundedness and fin计e-time stabilization boundedness of frax?tional-order switched nonlinear systems with exogenous inputs.By constructing a simple Lyapunov-like function and using some properties of Caputo derivative,the authors obtain some new sufficient conditions for the problem via linear matrix inequalities,which can be efficiently solved by using existing convex algorithms.A constructive geometric is used to design switching laws amongst the subsystems.The obtained results are more general and useful than some existing works,and cover them as special cases,in which only linear fractional-order systems were presented.Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.MAI Viet Thuan DINH Cong Huong 2019Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2019,32,6:3
5COVID-19 vaccination intention among healthcare workers in Vietnam显示文摘Objective:To assess the acceptance of coronavirus disease(COVID-19)vaccine among healthcare workers at two general hospitals in Vietnam when it is available.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted using a convenience sampling from January to February 2021 among 410 healthcare workers at two general hospitals in Vietnam via a selfadministered questionnaire.A multivariable regression analysis was performed to determine predictors of vaccine acceptance including the demographic factors,COVID-19 knowledge,and vaccine beliefs based on the domains of Health Belief Model.Results:Among 410 healthcare workers,76.10%showed vaccination willingness.Predictors of acceptance were determined that the group reporting as“vaccine acceptance”was more likely to be positive towards the perceived susceptibility and severity of COVID-19(OR 2.45;95%CI 1.48-4.06,P<0.05),perceived benefits of vaccination,and cues to action(OR 4.36;95%CI 2.35-8.09,and OR 5.49;95%CI 2.84-10.61,respectively,all P<0.001),but less likely to have the perceived barriers to vaccination(OR 0.19;95%CI 0.09-0.38;P<0.001)compared with the no acceptance group.Besides,people who had a good knowledge regarding the severity of illness were 3.37 times more likely to have identified as vaccine acceptance(OR 3.37;95%CI 1.04-10.86,P<0.05).The demographic factors were also associated with willingness to receive the vaccine,with participants who were staff and received COVID-19 information from relatives were less likely to accept the vaccine over those who were doctors and not receiving information from relatives(OR 0.36;95%CI 0.13-0.96,and OR 0.37;95%CI 0.17-0.78,respectively,all P<0.05).Conclusions:A rate of willingness to get vaccinated against COVID-19 was relatively high with discrepancies between occupation,receiving information from relatives,knowledge toward the severity of illness,and the elements of Health Belief Model.The findings will provide information for the management authorities to develop relevant interventions to promote COVID-19 vaccination uptake.Giao Huynh Thien Thuan Tran Han Thi Ngoc Nguyen Le An Pham 2021Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2021,14,4:3
6Optimization, equilibrium, adsorption behavior and role of surface functional groups on graphene oxide-based nanocomposite towards diclofenac drug显示文摘Aquatic contamination of diclofenac(DCF),an emergent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAIDs),can result in adverse effects to many ecosystems through biomagnification.Hence,introducing effective remediation techniques to sequester the pharmaceutical wastes is highly fundamental to prevent their accumulation in the environment.Generally,adsorption has been presented as a green and efficient approach.Herein,we report the characterization and application of the novel magnetic nanocomposite(GO@CoFe2O4)derived from cobalt-based ferrite(CoFe2O4)and graphene oxide(GO)for DCF adsorption.For the optimization procedure,the response surface methodology(RSM)was adopted to investigate the impacts of DCF concentration(1.6-18.4 mg/L),DCF dosage(0.08-0.92 g/L),and solution pH(2.6-9.4)to find the optimum conditions for DCF removal,at 10.5 mg/L,0.74 g/L,and pH 4,respectively.For the adsorption experiments,the kinetic,isotherm,thermodynamic,and intraparticle diffusion models were systematically studied.Moreover,we have elucidated the role of functional groups on the surface of GO@CoFe2O4 in enhancing the adsorption of DCF drug.With good removal efficiency(up to 86.1%),high maximum adsorption capacity(32.4 mg/g),GO@CoFe2O4 can be a potential candidate to eliminate DCF drug from water.Thuan Van Tran Duyen Thi Cam Nguyen Hanh TNLe Dai-Viet NVo Sonil Nanda Trinh Duy Nguyen 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,7:2
7The opportunity of membrane technology for hydrogen purification in the power to hydrogen (P2H) roadmap:a review显示文摘The global energy market is in a transition towards low carbon fuel systems to ensure the sustainable development of our society and economy.This can be achieved by converting the surplus renewable energy into hydrogen gas.The injection of hydrogen(£10%v/v)in the existing natural gas pipelines is demonstrated to have negligible effects on the pipelines and is a promising solution for hydrogen transportation and storage if the enduser purification technologies for hydrogen recovery from hydrogen enriched natural gas(HENG)are in place.In this review,promising membrane technologies for hydrogen separation is revisited and presented.Dense metallic membranes are highlighted with the ability of producing 99.9999999%(v/v)purity hydrogen product.However,high operating temperature(≥300℃)incurs high energy penalty,thus,limits its application to hydrogen purification in the power to hydrogen roadmap.Polymeric membranes are a promising candidate for hydrogen separation with its commercial readiness.However,further investigation in the enhancement of H2/CH4 selectivity is crucial to improve the separation performance.The potential impacts of impurities in HENG on membrane performance are also discussed.The research and development outlook are presented,highlighting the essence of upscaling the membrane separation processes and the integration of membrane technology with pressure swing adsorption technology.Hiep Thuan Lu Wen Li Ehsan Soroodan Miandoab Shinji Kanehashi Guoping Hu 2021Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,3:2

10Analysis and control of vibration of ropes in a high-rise elevator under earthquake excitation显示文摘In this research, the vibration of elevator ropes, including the main rope and compensation rope are investigated simultaneously in a high-rise elevator system under earthquake excitation. Moreover, the paper presents a new control method to restrain the sway of both ropes. This study considers varying rope lengths during elevator operation which cause other system parameters such as natural frequency, and damping ratio to be time-variant variables. The dynamics of the ropes are analyzed by solving the governing non-stationary, nonlinear equation numerically. In order to mitigate the vibration of ropes in several motion conditions, particularly upwards movement, downward movement, stopped at the lowest position, and stopped at the highest position, an active equipment is installed at the compensation sheave. The stability of the system using the controller is analyzed at four states: without disturbance and static car, without disturbance and mobile car, including disturbance and static car, and including disturbance and mobile car.
