| 2 | RESEARCH ON THE EVALUATION METHOD OF FRICTION AND LUBRICATION IN DEEP DRAWING显示文摘The deformation characteristic of bland in deep drawing is discussed. It is pointed out that the friction and lubrication conditions in for drawing are different from that in mechanical motion or machine work or other plastic process. The common test methods in laboratories are analyzed. It shows that though all those test methods can test the friction coefficient, the probe test method is most suitable for the research of friction and lubrication and the process in deep drawing, for this method is identical with the actual work condition either from the test principle or deformation status of the blank. | 3 | Comprehensive strategy of conduit guidance combined with VEGF producing Schwann cells accelerates peripheral nerve repair显示文摘Peripheral nerve regeneration requires stepwise and well-organized establishment of microenvironment.Since local delivery of VEGF-A in peripheral nerve repair is expected to promote angiogenesis in the microenvironment and Schwann cells(SCs)play critical role in nerve repair,combination of VEGF and Schwann cells may lead to efficient peripheral nerve regeneration.VEGF-A overexpressing Schwann cells were established and loaded into the inner wall of hydroxyethyl cellulose/soy protein isolate/polyaniline sponge(HSPS)conduits.When HSPS is mechanically distorted,it still has high durability of strain strength,thus,can accommodate unexpected strain of nerve tissues in motion.A 10 mm nerve defect rat model was used to test the repair performance of the HSPS-SC(VEGF)conduits,meanwhile the HSPS,HSPS-SC,HSPS-VEGF conduits and autografts were worked as controls.The immunofluorescent co-staining of GFP/VEGF-A,Ki67 and MBP showed that the VEGF-A overexpressing Schwann cells could promote the proliferation,migration and differentiation of Schwann cells as the VEGF-A was secreted from the VEGF-A overexpressing Schwann cells.The nerve repair performance of the multifunctional and flexible conduits was examined though rat behavioristics,electrophysiology,nerve innervation to gastrocnemius muscle(GM),toluidine blue(TB)staining,transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and NF200/S100 double staining in the regenerated nerve.The results displayed that the effects on the repair of peripheral nerves in HSPS-SC(VEGF)group was the best among the conduits groups and closed to autografts.HSPS-SC(VEGF)group exhibited notably increased CD31+endothelial cells and activation of VEGFR2/ERK signaling pathway in the regenerated nerve tissues,which probably contributed to the improved nerve regeneration.Altogether,the comprehensive strategy including VEGF overexpressing Schwann cells-mediated and HSPS conduit-guided peripheral nerve repair provides a new avenue for nerve tissue engineering. | Ping Wu Zan Tong Lihua Luo Yanan Zhao Feixiang Chen Yinping Li Céline Huselstein Qifa Ye Qingsong Ye Yun Chen | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,10: | 4 |
| 4 | Near-fault ground motions with prominent acceleration pulses:pulse characteristics and ductility demand显示文摘Major earthquakes of last 15 years (e.g., Northridge 1994, Kobe 1995 and Chi-Chi 1999) have shown that many near-fault ground motions possess prominent acceleration pulses. Some of the prominent ground acceleration pulses are related to large ground velocity pulses, others are caused by mechanisms that are totally different from those causing the velocity pulses or fling steps. Various efforts to model acceleration pulses have been reported in the literature. In this paper, research results from a recent study of acceleration pulse prominent ground motions and an analysis of structural damage induced by acceleration pulses are summarized. The main results of the study include: (1) temporal characteristics of acceleration pulses; (2) ductility demand spectrum of simple acceleration pulses with respect to equivalent classes of dynamic systems and pulse characteristic parameters; and (3) estimation of fundamental period change under the excitation of strong acceleration pulses. | 7 | Superior safety of direct oral anticoagulants compared to Warfarin in patients with atrial fibrillation and underlying cancer: a national veterans affairs database study显示文摘Background Studies evaluating safety of warfarin and direct oral anticoagulants(DOACs) for prevention of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF) are lacking. Methods & Results All patients(n = 196,521) receiving care at veteran’s affairs with active cancer and AF from 2010–2015 were included. One-year mortality was significantly higher in unadjusted analysis with warfarin(44.9%) compared to dabigatran(25%, P < 0.001), rivaroxaban(24.4%, P < 0.001) and apixaban(30%, P < 0.001) and after adjusting for age, sex and type of cancer mortality(OR = 2.66, 95% CI: 2.52–2.82, P < 0.001). Risk of ischemic stroke(13.5% vs. 11.1%, 12.0%, 14.0%) was similar, however risk of hemorrhagic stroke was significantly higher among patients receiving warfarin(1.2%) compared to patients receiving dabigatran(0.5%), rivaroxaban(0.7%) and apixaban(0.8%) respectively, P = 0.04. Conclusions We demonstrated the superior safety profile of DOACs compared to warfarin among patients with underlying cancer and AF.
