1A detection method for logic functions suitable for dual-logic synthesis显示文摘Logic functions can be implemented in either AND/OR/NOT-based traditional Boolean(TB) logic or AND/XOR-based Reed-Muller(RM) logic.To the majority of logic functions,it will be beneficial to be partially implemented in both TB logic and RM logic,called dual-logic.In this paper,a detection condition favoring dual-logic synthesis is proposed.A corresponding detection algorithm is developed and implemented in C.The algorithm is applied to test a set of MCNC91 benchmarks for verifying the algorithm.The results show that the proposed algorithm is more efficient than published ones.Yinshui Xia Fei Sun Keyi Mao 2009Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,10:7
2Incorporating topographic factors in nonlinear mixed-effects models for aboveground biomass of natural Simao pine in Yunnan,China显示文摘A total of 128 Simao pine trees(Pinus kesiya var. langbianensis) from three regions of Pu'er City,Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China, were destructively sampled to obtain tree aboveground biomass(AGB). Tree variables such as diameter at breast height and total height, and topographical factors such as altitude,aspect of slope, and degree of slope were recorded. We considered the region and site quality classes as the random-effects, and the topographic variables as the fixedeffects. We fitted a total of eight models as follows: leastsquares nonlinear models(BM), least-squares nonlinear models with the topographic factors(BMT), nonlinear mixed-effects models with region as single random-effects(NLME-RE), nonlinear mixed-effects models with site as single random-effects(NLME-SE), nonlinear mixed-effects models with the two-level nested region and site random-effects(TLNLME), NLME-RE with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(NLMET-RE), NLME-SE with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(NLMET-SE), and TLNLME with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(TLNLMET). The eight models were compared by modelfitting and prediction statistics. The results showed: model fitting was improved by considering random-effects of region or site, or both. The models with the fixed-effects of topographic factors had better model fitting. According to AIC and BIC, the model fitting was ranked as TLNLME[ NLMET-RE [ NLME-RE [ NLMET-SE [ TLNLMET[ NLME-SE [ BMT [ BM. The differences among these models for model prediction were small. The model prediction was ranked as TLNLME [ NLME-RE [ NLMES E [ N L M E T- R E [ N L M E T- S E [ T L N L M E T [BMT [ BM. However, all eight models had relatively high prediction precision([90 %). 4Mass Spectrometry Analysis of SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid Protein Reveals Camouflaging Glycans and Unique Post-Translational Modifications显示文摘The devastating coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has prompted worldwide efforts to study structural biological traits of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)and its viral components.Compared to the Spike protein,which is the primary target for currently available vaccines or antibodies,knowledge about other virion structural components is incomplete.Using high-resolution mass spectrometry,we report a comprehensive post-translational modification(PTM)analysis of nucleocapsid phosphoprotein(NCP),the most abundant structural component of the SARS-CoV-2 virion.In addition to phosphoryl groups,we show that the SARS-CoV-2 NCP is decorated with a variety of PTMs,including N-glycans and ubiquitin.Based on newly identified PTMs,refined protein structural models of SARS-CoV-2 NCP were proposed and potential immune recognition epitopes of NCP were aligned with PTMs.These data can facilitate the design of novel vaccines or therapeutics targeting NCP,as valuable alternatives to the current vaccination and treatment paradigm that is under threat of the ever-mutating SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein.Zeyu Sun Xiaoqin Zheng Feiyang Ji Menghao Zhou Xiaoling Su Keyi Ren Lanjuan Li 2021Infectious Microbes & Diseases2021,3,3:1

6Nanodiamonds decorated yolk-shell ZnFe_(2)O_(4) sphere as magnetically separable and recyclable composite for boosting antibiotic degradation performance显示文摘Photocatalysis is an environmentally friendly and energy-saving technology, which can effectively remove persistent dangerous pollutants in the water. Pitifully, optical absorption capacity and carrier separation have become major bottlenecks for marvelous photocatalytic performance of photocatalysts.Herein, to address these issue, Nanodiamonds/yolk-shell ZnFe_(2)O_(4) spheres(NDs/ZFO) nanocomposites were successfully constructed via a facile two-step of solvothermal and calcination methods. The synthesized optimal NDs/ZFO-10 nanocomposite exhibits superior photocatalytic degradation activity of antibiotic under visible light, approximately 85% of the total tetracycline(TC) is degraded, and this photocatalyst shows durable cycling stability. This stems from two aspects of refinement: improvement of light absorption capacity and photo-induced charges migration and separation. In addition, the NDs/ZFO composite photocatalyst features excellent magnetic recovery capability, facilitating the recovery of photocatalyst in industry. 7Mass Spectrometry Analysis of Newly Emerging Coronavirus HCoV-19 Spike Protein and Human ACE2 Reveals Camouflaging Glycans and Unique Post-Translational Modifications显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has led to worldwide efforts to understand the biological traits of the newly identified human coronavirus(HCoV-19)virus.In this mass spectrometry(MS)-based study,we reveal that out of 21 possible glycosites in the HCoV-19 spike protein(S protein),20 are completely occupied by N-glycans,predominantly of the oligomannose type.All seven glycosylation sites in human angiotensin I converting enzyme 2(hACE2)were found to be completely occupied,mainly by complex N-glycans.However,glycosylation did not directly contribute to the binding affinity between HCoV-19 S protein and hACE2.Additional post-translational modification(PTM)was identified,including multiple methylated sites in both proteins and multiple sites with hydroxylproline in hACE2.Refined structural models of HCoV-19 S protein and hACE2 were built by adding N-glycan and PTMs to recently published cryogenic electron microscopy structures.The PTM and glycan maps of HCoV-19 S protein and hACE2 provide additional structural details for studying the mechanisms underlying host attachment and the immune response of HCoV-19,as well as knowledge for developing desperately needed remedies and vaccines.Zeyu Sun Keyi Ren Xing Zhang Jinghua Chen Zhengyi Jiang Jing Jiang Feiyang Ji Xiaoxi Ouyang Lanjuan Li 2021Engineering2021,7,10:0
8Mid-infrared broadband optical frequency comb generated in MgF_2 resonators显示文摘Microresonator-based optical frequency combs are broadband light sources consisting of equally spaced and coherent narrow lines,which are extremely promising for applications in molecular spectroscopy and sensing in the mid-infrared(MIR)spectral region.There are still great challenges in exploring how to improve materials for microresonator fabrication,extend spectral bandwidth of parametric combs,and realize fully stabilized soliton MIR frequency combs.Here,we present an effective scheme for broadband MIR optical frequency comb generation in a MgF_(2) crystalline microresonator pumped by the quantum cascade laser.The spectral evolution dynamics of the MIR Kerr frequency comb is numerically investigated,revealing the formation mechanism of the microresonator soliton comb via scanning the pump-resonance detuning.We also experimentally implement the modulation instability state MIR frequency comb generation in MgF_(2) resonators covering from 3380 nm to 7760 nm.This work proceeds microresonator-based comb technology toward a miniaturization MIR spectroscopic device that provides potential opportunities in many fields such as fundamental physics and metrology.WEI WU QIBING SUN YI WANG YU YANG XIANSHUN MING LEI SHI KEYI WANG WEI ZHAO LEIRAN WANG 2022Photonics Research2022,10,8:0
9Lactobacillus isolates from healthy volunteers exert immunomodulatory effects on activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells显示文摘As probiotics in the gut, Lactobacilli are believed to play important roles in the development and maintenance of both the mucosal and systemic immune system of the host. This study was aimed to investigate the immunomodulatory function of candiate lactobacilli on T cells. Lactobacilli were isolated from healthy human feces and the microbiological characteristics were identified by API 50 CHL and randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) assays. Anti-CD3 antibody activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were treated by viable, heat-killed lactobacilli and genomic DNA of lactobacilli, and cytokine profiles were tested by ELISA. Isolated lactobacilli C44 and C48 were identified as L. acidophilus and L. paracacei, which have properties of acid and bile tolerance and inhibitor effects on pathogens. Viable and heat-killed C44 and C48 induced low levels of proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8) and high levels of IFN-γ and IL-12p70 in PBMCs. In antiCD3 antibody activated PBMCs, viable and heat-killed C44 increased Th2 cytokine levels (IL-5, IL-6 and IL-10), and simultaneously enhanced Th1 responses by inducing IFN-γ and IL-12p70 production. Different from that of lactabacillus strains, their genomic DNA induced low levels of IL-12p70, IFN-γ and proinflammatory cytokines in PBMCs with or without anti-CD3 antibody activation.
