1Skin Retention Determination and Clinical Efficacy Evaluation of a Novel High Oil-Contained Hpr Transfersome Permeable Formulation显示文摘In order to increase the skin retention of HPR(Hydroxypinacone Retinoate),a novel high oil-contained HPR transfersome WL-HPR1130 was prepared.Conventional essence containing HPR was used as the control group,WL-HPR1130 essence was used as the experimental group, the skin retention of HPR were determined respectively. The anti-wrinkle efficacy of WL-HPR1130 essence was evaluated at the same time. The retention of HPR was 11.40μg/cm2 in the experimental group and 1.41μg/cm2 in the control group, which was 8.08 times higher than the control group. The wrinkles and fine lines were significantly reduced and smoothed after 2 and 4 weeks by experimental group sample. The average length, width and depth of wrinkles were decreased by 14.26%,18.31%,7.17%after 2 weeks, and were decreased by 29.39%,38.25%,8.60%after 4 weeks. The average length, width and depth of fine lines were decreased by 22.35%,12.60%,8.00%after 2 weeks, and were decreased by 27.10%,20.24%and 15.90%after 4 weeks, which has a significant visual changes.WLHPR1130,a novel high oil-contained HPR transfersome formulation, can significantly increase the retention of HPR in the skin. And the WL-HPR1130 essence have remarkable anti-wrinkle and smooth fine lines effects.Wang Jiaqi Ma Chaolong Tian Meixiang Sun Changlei Gong Jinkang 2022China Detergent & Cosmetics2022,7,4:0
2Design and Grasping Force Modeling for a Soft Robotic Gripper with Multi-stem Twining显示文摘To improve the grasping power of soft robots, inspired by the scene of intertwined and interdependent vine branches safely clinging to habitats in a violent storm and the phenomenon of large grasping force after being entangled by aquatic plants, this paper proposes a soft robotic gripper with multi-stem twining. The proposed robotic gripper can realize a larger contact area of surrounding or containing object and more layers of a twining object than the current twining gripping methods. It not only retains the adaptive advantages of twining grasping but also improves the grasping force.First, based on the mechanical characteristics of the multi-stem twining of the gripper, the twining grasping model is developed. Then, the force on the fiber is deduced by using the twining theory, and the axial force of the gripper is analyzed based on the equivalent model of the rubber ring. Finally, the torsion experiments of fibers and the grasping experiments of the gripper are designed and conducted. The torsion experiment of fibers verifies the influence of a different number of fiber ropes and fiber torque on the grasping force, and the grasping experiment reflects the large load of the gripper and the high adaptability and practicability under different tasks.Yu Shan Yanzhi Zhao Hongnian Yu Changlei Pei Zhaopeng Jin Yue Sun 2023Journal of Bionic Engineering2023,20,5:0
3SARS-CoV-2 spike protein induces IL-18-mediated cardiopulmonary inflammation via reduced mitophagy显示文摘Cardiopulmonary complications are major drivers of mortality caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.Interleukin-18,an inflammasomeinduced cytokine, has emerged as a novel mediator of cardiopulmonary pathologies but its regulation via SARS-CoV-2 signaling remains unknown.Based on a screening panel,IL-18 was identified amongst 19 cytokines to stratify mortality and hospitalization burden in patients hospitalized with COVID-19.Supporting clinical data, administration of SARS-CoV-2 Spike 1(S1)glycoprotein or receptor-binding domain(RBD)proteins into human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(hACE2)transgenic mice induced cardiac fibrosis and dysfunction associated with higher NF-κB phosphorylation(pNF-κB)and cardiopulmonary-derived IL-18 and NLRP3 expression.IL-18 inhibition via IL-18BP resulted in decreased cardiac pNF-κB and improved cardiac fibrosis and dysfunction in S1-or RBD-exposed hACE2 mice.Through in vivo and in vitro work, both S1 and RBD proteins induced NLRP3 inflammasome and IL-18 expression by inhibiting mitophagy and increasing mitochondrial reactive oxygenation species.Enhancing mitophagy prevented Spike protein-mediated IL-18 expression.Moreover,IL-18 inhibition reduced Spike protein-mediated pNF-κB and EC permeability.Overall, the link between reduced mitophagy and inflammasome activation represents a novel mechanism during COVID-19 pathogenesis and suggests IL-18 and mitophagy as potential therapeutic targets.Shuxin Liang Changlei Bao Zi Yang Shiyun Liu Yanan Sun Weitao Cao Ting Wang Tae-Hwi Schwantes-An John S.Choy Samisubbu Naidu Ang Luo Wenguang Yin Stephen M.Black Jian Wang Pixin Ran Ankit A.Desai Haiyang Tang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4:0
